Offset Teams with Cardi B for “Jealousy,” the First Single of His Forthcoming Album

Offset Teams with Cardi B for "Jealousy," the First Single of His Forthcoming Album

Offset is taking it to a new level, dropping off the single for “Jealousy” featuring Cardi B. The video opens with Jamie Lee Curtis narrating the drama. The two directly address the issues between the two in the bars. In the visual, Offset evokes Jodi from Baby Boy, leaving the crib and hopping on his bike to ride through the streets of LA.

Keeping it to the Baby Boy theme, Cardi B calls her homegirl to complain, who happened to be the original Yvette, Taraji P. Henson.

After an impressive opening run from Offset, including a beat transition that forces a head nod, Cardi B tags in for a float of her own, adding on to her impressive run of features through 2023.

“Jealousy” is the first single from Offset’s forthcoming album. You can see the Offset directed video below.

Offset And Cardi B Confront ‘Jealousy’ In Their New ‘Baby Boy’-Inspired Visual

At long last, Offset is giving us a taste of his second solo album. Tonight (July 28), he has shared his new single, “Jealousy,” featuring none other than his wife, Cardi B.

While the song’s title seems to allude to jealousy within their marital dynamic, the two are actually addressing people who spew hate at them out of jealousy.

The song is accompanied by a cinematic visual inspired by the 2001 movie, Baby Boy — and features a cameo from Baby Boy actress Taraji P. Henson.

Though Offset and Cardi are rather ubiquitous in the entertainment landscape, the former often keeps to himself regarding their marriage. But in a recent interview with Variety, the former Migo shared that Cardi has transformed his life for the better.

“She always got my back, right or wrong,” he said. “We both are on the same mission to make each other better. Social is her strong point, so I listen to her social advice. And me, it’s the music, but I play behind the scenes; it’s my wife so I want to make sure she win…We’re a powerhouse at this point — icon status. We believe in God. We believe in family. We’re always going to keep winning.”

Offset is ready to drop new music. After releasing a hilarious video with Jamie Lee Curtis, evoking the spirit of James Brown, Offset has announced “Jealousy,” enlisting the talents of his wife Cardi B for the single.

“Let’s talk about some music!” Offset wrote on Instagram. “Jealousy out this Friday! Link in bio!”

Cardi B And Offset Announce Their New Song ‘Jealousy,’ Further Putting The Rumors Of Tension To Rest

Cardi B and Offset have had a rollercoaster of a relationship. Last month, Offset publicly accused Cardi of cheating on him in an Instagram Story, which Cardi vehemently denied: “First of all, let me say: You can’t accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of,” she said in a Twitter Space.

Since then, Cardi joined him during his Rolling Loud Miami set, and now they’ve announced a collaboration together, coming Friday, July 28. Fittingly titled “Jealousy,” the track was announced on Cardi’s Instagram with the artwork of the single.

The song was teased by Offset earlier this week with a promotional clip on Twitter featuring Jamie Lee Curtis: “Your fans are saying that there’s a lot of drama between you and your beautiful wife, Cardi B,” she said. Offset replied, “Let’s talk about music.”

In May, Offset revealed that Cardi, calling her his “bestie,” helped him quit lean. “I put down lean. I was drinking my whole career,” he said. “It opened my mind up, but I never thought it helped me create. I feel like getting past that, cleaning up, and putting that message out.”

Offset Announces New Music By Recreating Infamous James Brown Interview

Offset as James Brown

Offset has taken a unique and snarky approach to announcing his new music. In a video teaser that has fans buzzing, the former Migos member recreated the infamous 1988 CNN interview of the legendary James Brown, with actress Jamie Lee Curtis stepping into the role of the interviewer, Sonya Friedman. Jamie Lee Curtis & Offset Attempted To Address His Rumored Martial Issues, In New Video, But The Spirit Of James Brown Intervened

Lately, Offset’s fashion choices have paid homage to the late Michael Jackson. However, the “2 Live” rapper decided to channel another music icon in the teaser clip for his upcoming single. Offset put his sense of humor on full display as Jamie Lee Curtis attempted to get him to address rumors that his marriage to Cardi B was on the rocks.

In the promotional clip uploaded to Twitter, the Oscar-award-winning actress steps into the role of a news anchor digging for dirt on the couple’s relationship. However, with Offset dressed as the Godfather of Soul, the late James Brown, that proved to be trickier than expected.

“Your fans are saying that there’s a lot of drama between you and your beautiful wife, Cardi B,” said Curtis. Instead of going with the flow of the conversation, Offset busted into laughter before he stated, “Let’s talk about music.”

Offset’s hilarious video snippet is a callback to a 1988 interview Brown participated in after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife, Adrienne Rodriguez.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Offset accused his wife, Cardi B, of cheating. Cardi B quickly took to Twitter to refute the allegations. During a recorded Twitter Space, Cardi B sang Keyshia Cole’s 2005 song “I Should’ve Cheated.” Then she said, “Don’t pay attention to that country man, y’all. Don’t pay attention to the country man. I’m f*cking Cardi B, n****. I think sometimes, motherf*ckers forget I’m Cardi B. If I was giving this p*ssy to anybody, it would be out. I’m just not anybody. I can’t f*ckin’ no regular degular shmegular because they gon’ tell the world. I can’t f*ck nobody in the industry ’cause they gon’ tell, too.”

Cardi B And Offset Put The Rumors To Rest As She Joined Him During His Rolling Loud Set In Miami

The last time Cardi B and Offset shared the stage at Rolling Loud, the circumstances were a bit different. Back in December 2018, Offset crashed Cardi B’s set at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles after she’d reportedly filed for divorce. Although the move was criticized at the time as it came in the wake of the #MeToo movement and vocal critiques of “love bombing,” the bid was succesful; since then, Cardi and Set have been one of hip-hop’s highest-profile couples.

This time around, Cardi joined Offset at Rolling Loud Miami, where they performed the Migos hit “Motorsport” and their collab, “Clout.”

While the couple’s relationship has turned around in more recent years, that isn’t to say that it’s without its bumps — which are just as often generated by nosy fans looking for signs of new fractures. In June, fans believed that Offset accused Cardi of cheating, although from this writer’s perspective, it looked very much like a misinterpretation of Offset’s use of AAVE. The couple is due to appear together again along with their kids Kulture and Wave in Baby Shark’s Big Movie reprising the fishy versions of themselves from a previous episode that aired in the show’s last season. From what it looks like, their bond is as strong as ever, and the collaborative album they’ve been talking about releasing doesn’t seem to be in any particular danger of cancellation.

Quavo Addressed Migos’ Split, Offset’s Recent Comments, And His Album Release Date In The ‘Rocket Power’ Trailer

There likely won’t be any new Migos music in the foreseeable future, but that doesn’t mean you won’t hear from the two remaining members, Quavo and Offset. Both rappers have been working on their respective solo albums for a bit, and now, it looks like Quavo’s, Rocket Power is soon to be released.

After releasing the single “Turn Yo Clic Up” with Future last week, today, Quavo shared an album trailer on his Instagram. Fittingly, it features Quavo facing off with a rocket shuttle in the desert, gripping Takeoff’s Migos chain (the album’s title is an homage to Takeoff, whose own solo debut was called The Last Rocket).

In the song playing over the scene, Quavo mentions Offset’s departure from the group (“my cousin jumped out the car, I had to keep goin’”) and recent comments about their familial relationship (“now he tellin’ the whole world that we ain’t blood”), which was foundational to the group’s mythology. However, he measures the lyrics by remembering that “it’s all love.” The trailer ends with the title displayed on screen, along with the imminent release date: August 4, 2023. You can check out the trailer below.

Rocket Power is due on 8/4 via Quality Control Music/Motown/Capitol Records.

Cardi B & Offset’s Kids Look Like New Yorker’s Sister, Hennessy Carolina, Twitter Says

From practically the moment a baby is born, family members begin to interject their opinions on who the little one resembles the most, sometimes even leading to feuds. Of course, after carrying an infant for nine months, not to mention going through the trauma of giving birth, it’s reasonable for a woman to want to see some of her own face in her offspring. Luckily for Cardi B and Offset, their two little ones appear to be a perfect mix of them both, though some Twitter users think that another family member’s genes came through for Kulture and Wave too.

While celebrating her 5-year-old daughter’s birthday this week, the Hustlers actress shared plenty of adorable Kulture content on Instagram. “Happy birthday to my pretty princess. It’s beautiful seeing my girl grow yet makes me a lil sad that my baby is not my little baby no more 💖🎀🍰🎂,” Cardi wrote in a post on Monday (July 10). We’ve also had several glimpses at their son, Wave, sharing a smiley video with Offset and the pouty young boy.

While traits from both Cardi and Offset can be found in their children’s faces, a Twitter user suggested that the former stripper’s sister could be mistaken for their mother too. “All the babies look like Hennessy [Carolina] 😂,” they wrote. In the comments, some have suggested it’s only due to Bardi’s past plastic surgery that her little sibling bears a stronger resemblance to the kids. “I think they look like Cardi too (before her enhancements…absolutely no shade). Beautiful babies 😍,” someone shared.

Apart from celebrating her firstborn’s fifth birthday this week, Cardi B has also been hyping up her latest collaboration – FendiDa Rappa’s “Point Me 2.” In her usual fashion, the fashionista has been twerking up a storm to promote her work, from Paris, France to her luxury bubble bath.
