Lil Wayne Reflects On Iconic 100+ Feature Run In 2007 With Missy Elliott

At 40 years old, Lil Wayne has made a name for himself as one of the most well-known and respected rappers in the industry. He continues to release music to this day, his most recent arrivals coming in the form of “THE FORMULA” with will.i.am, as well as March’s I Am Music project. The latter is a career-spanning compilation album, which begins with “Kant Nobody” featuring DMX and also includes appearances from names like Drake, Eminem, Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, and Swizz Beatz. There’s no denying that Weezy has one of the most impressive rosters of collaborators of all time, but it was way back in 2007 when he really hit his stride.

During a sitdown with Missy Elliott for TV One’s Uncensored, the New Orleans native reflected on the year when he put out over 100 features. “That’s unheard of,” the “1, 2 Step” hitmaker applauded Wayne. “You have to have been raking in the dough,” she added. “I was only acknowledged for 77 of them,” the legendary lyricist told his co-star. “I don’t even think there was another artist playing on the radio, dang,” Missy recalled, thinking back to ’07.

Lil Wayne Looks Back on 2007

“That was real,” Wayne affirmed her memory. “That was an amazing moment and an amazing time. I remember being able to get into my car and turn on the radio. I don’t care if I got the station wrong, could’ve switched to a pop station by mistake, I’m still on that motherf*cker!” the Young Money head proudly praised his past work. Some of his biggest appearances from that time include “We Takin’ Over” with DJ Khaled, Akon, T.I, Rick Ross, Fat Joe, and Birdman, as well as “You” alongside Lloyd.

Other popular titles include “Uh Ohhh” with Ja Rule and “Barry Bonds” from Kanye West’s Graduation album. What was your favourite Lil Wayne release from 2007? Tell us in the comments below, and tap back in later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Beyoncé’s “RENAISSANCE” Tour Could Earn Over $2 Billion From Ticket Sales Alone

Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE tour has yet to begin, but already, Forbes is reporting that the mother of three could bring in some serious cash after her time on the road. On Monday (May 8), the publication revealed that Queen B is expecting to clear as much as $2.1 billion from her trip around the world. This means she would outsell Taylor Swift’s Eras tour by approximately $500 million. The country-turned-popstar will likely take home $1.6 billion from her latest venture.

The estimated numbers are optimistic in favour of both singers. The outlet says that they’re based on the number of tickets sold so far, as well as the average price of nearly $700 per seat. In addition, Forbes has considered that both Beyoncé and Swift would be taking home a considerable share of merchandise proceeds while paying tour expenses that would be equal to roughly 20% of their revenue.

Beyoncé On Pace to Outsell Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour

By the time she wraps things up in September, Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE world tour could gross anywhere from $275M to $2.4B from ticket sales alone. The “I’m That Girl” hitmaker’s highest potential estimate is notably well above the $1.9B box office projection that’s been placed on the Eras tour. Aside from her pricey tickets, the Houston native also offered VIP packages to fans with serious cash to spare, ranging in price from $3750 to $5000.

As DailyMail points out, the last time The Lion King actress hit the road was in 2016 as a solo act. In 2018, she and her husband Jay-Z headed out to support their The Carters joint effort, much to the pleasure of their fans. The only performance Beyoncé has given so far in 2023 took place in Dubai, where her beautiful vocals helped to commemorate the opening of a new hotel in the luxurious country. While cameras were meant to be prohibited from the event, clips still managed to surface online, giving a preview of what’s to come later this summer. Are you checking out any of the RENAISSANCE concert dates? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

Jack Harlow’s “Jackman” First-Week Sales Numbers Are In

After a riveting weekend of new music, Monday (April 8), has brought with it the first-week sales numbers for some major recent releases. Among them is Jack Harlow’s surprise Jackman effort, which found him delivering bars on bars across 10 featureless titles at the end of April. While many were happy to hear the Kentucky native return to his rapper roots, the project has failed to achieve the same support that his sophomore release Come Home The Kids Miss You, amassed in 2022.

That album, which features Pharrell, Justin Timberlake, Drake, and more, landed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 after earning 113K album-equivalent units (including 8K pure sales) during its first week out. Jackman, on the other hand, earned Harlow a spot at No. 13, with just over 34K in streaming sales and 2K in pure for a total of 36K. This puts the 25-year-old behind artists like Trippie Redd and Kali Uchis, with their Mansion Musik and Red Moon In Venus efforts respectively.

Regardless of what the numbers have to say, Harlow seems proud of his latest work – even if it has earned him some backlash online. More specifically, the second track, “They Don’t Love It,” finds the White Men Can’t Jump star rhyming about being “the hardest white boy” since Eminem. Not only did hip-hop heads on Twitter have plenty to say about this, but some other noteworthy Caucasian lyricists chimed in on the conversation as well.

On Saturday (May 6), Machine Gun Kelly leaned back into his rap skills, sharing a new cypher in which he dissed the “Nail Tech” hitmaker with absolutely no shame. Not only did he urge the young star to return Drake’s flow back to him, but he also included a double entendre about underwater sea creatures. Tap into Jack Harlow’s Jackman album on Spotify below if you haven’t already. Afterward, tell us if you’re surprised by his latest work’s first-week sales numbers in the comments, and tap back in later for more hip-hop news updates.

Devin Booker’s Playoff Heroics Hit Historic Levels

The Phoenix Suns live and die on the performances of Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. The star duo has been the driving force of the Western Conference contenders ever since Durant was acquired in a mid-season trade. In the first round of the playoffs, Booker and Durant became the first duo since Jerry West and Elgin Baylor in 1968 to score at least 25 points per game in every game of a best-of-seven series.

However, Booker especially has been absolutely fire during these playoffs. Through eight playoff games, Booker is shooting 60.2% from the field (115-191). He has amassed 295 points, 40 rebounds, 55 assists, and 17 steals. Furthermore, is shooting 48.9% from three (23-47). He also averaging 42.8 minutes per night, as the Suns get everything from their star. But now his historic playoffs are starting to put him in very elite company.

Here Are Some Of The Milestones Devin Booker Is Hitting

PHOENIX, ARIZONA – MAY 05: Devin Booker #1 of the Phoenix Suns walks down the tunnel following Game Three of the NBA Western Conference Semifinals at Footprint Center on May 05, 2023 in Phoenix, Arizona. (Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)

We’ve already talked about what he’s been able to achieve alongside Kevin Durant but Booker has also been hitting historic individual milestones as well.

  • His 36.9 points per game makes him the first player since 1992 Michael Jordan average 35 points per game over the first eight games of the playoffs
  • After scoring 47 points in Game 3 versus the Nuggets, Booker recorded his 4th 45-point playoff game. The Suns franchise excluding Booker has four 45-point playoff games combined
  • Booker has scored 295 points during the postseason. That’s the most points by an individual in the first eight games of the playoffs since 1990 Michael Jordan

The Suns currently trail the Nuggets 2-1 in the second round of the playoffs. Just 33 teams have ever won a playoff series after starting with a 0-2 deficit. However, it has already happened once this postseason. The Warriors came back from 0-2 down against the Kings to win 4-3 in the first round. Furthermore, the Suns have achieved it once before. The 1993 Suns rallied from 0-2 down to beat the Lakers in the first round. If Phoenix wants to advance and challenge for a place in the NBA Finals, Booker may need to go even further into the history books with his play. The Suns will host the Nuggets for Game 4 of their series on Sunday night.

6ix9ine Lashes Out At Billboard Amid Merch Album Sales Reinstatement: “Anything Just To Not See Me Win”

Some ops at the gym certainly got the better of him earlier this year, but 6ix9ine managed to make a triumphant comeback thanks to singles like “WAPAE” and “Y Ahora” last month. Seeing as his embattled reputation obviously precedes him in the U.S., the lyricist has been tapping into the Spanish music market, where he’s found major success working with various collaborators. While he’s been celebrating the major victories coming along with that on social media, 6ix9ine also didn’t hesitate to use his platform to call out Billboard over a recent rule change that isn’t sitting right with him.

“Billboard to count limited fan packs/merch bundles with physical albums towards Billboard 200 chart starting June 30th,” a tweet from @chartdata reported earlier this week. Upon hearing the news, 6ix9ine took a screenshot of the post to share with a message of his own on his IG Story. “LITERALLY A JOKE,” the 26-year-old’s rant began on Thursday (May 4). “I’m the reason you guys got rid of this rule,” he further asserted. “You guys did everything and ANYTHING just to not see me win. BRINGIN’ IT BACK BECAUSE Y’ALL ARTISTS CAN SELL WITHOUT IT.”

6ix9ine Blasts Billboard

DJ Akademiks shared the “GOOBA” artist’s thoughts on his own page, leading 6ix9ine to drop by the comments there and get more off of his chest. “The rule got changed in June/July of 2020. I sold over $3M of [bundled] merch for ‘GOOBA,’” he explained. “The Nicki and Travis thing was in 2018 for ‘Queen’ because I promoted it,” the east coast star added, referring to Nicki Minaj’s anger over Travis Scott beating her out for the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, which she claimed only happened due to the merch bundles sold with his project.

“The industry changed rules and laws just to blackball an artist, that’s how I know I’m really him,” the controversial star concluded. “Get mad all you want, but this is facts.” Do you think 6ix9ine’s anger towards Billboard is valid, or is he letting a victim complex get the better of him? Rapper Speaks His Truth

NBA Youngboy Makes History On The Billboard Hot 100

Although NBA Youngboy claimed to be blackballed at one point, it hasn’t necessarily impacted his success. He’s managed to cultivate a loyal and dedicated fanbase who will ride out for him. Ultimately, he reached incredible heights on streaming platforms and charts when he puts in limited resources into marketing. It’s truly a testament to his work ethic and standard of quality. These days, the rapper’s maintaining his prolificacy through a number of projects, including Don’t Try This At Home. A week after it dropped, and he’s reached another milestone in his career.

According to Billboard, the Louisiana-based rapper is officially the youngest rapper to have 100 entries on the Hot 100. It’s no surprise, given the amount of music he’s released since August. However, it’s another testament to his adoring fanbase and work ethic. The success of “Big Truck” earned the 23-year-old rapper this accolade. Now, YB joins an exclusive club of artists, including Lil Baby, Drake, Future, and Taylor Swift, as the 13th artist to chart 100+ entries on the Hot 100.

NBA Youngboy’s Reign Continues

NBA Youngboy’s latest project, Don’t Try This At Home, marks his second project on Motown Records. Following an incredible run in late 2022, that included projects like The Last Slimeto and Ma’ I Got A Family, the Baton Rouge rapper came out swinging at the top of 2023 to launch a new chapter in his career. He kicked off the year with I Rest My Case before coming through with his latest body of work, which landed at #5 on the Billboard 200 with 60K units sold in the first week. The project includes features from Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, The Kid Laroi, and Mariah The Scientist.

Mainstream domination aside, NBA Youngboy also experienced some new milestones in his personal life. A few weeks ago, the rapper welcomed his 11th child. Although information regarding the child remains minimum, fans identified the child’s mother as Drew Valentina. Just a few months prior, he and his fiancée Jazlyn Mychelle welcomed their son. Evidently, his family is growing just as quickly as his catalog. We’ll keep you posted on anymore updates on NBA Youngboy.

Jack Harlow “Jackman” First Week Sales Projections

Jack Harlow stunned the masses with the release of Jackman. His follow-up to 2022’s Come Home The Kids Miss You, the latest opus from the Louisville, KY native further cements his place in the history books. Some might still feel reluctant to embrace him but he’s undoubtedly taking notes of the criticism and fixing up his game with each release. Jackman, so far, earned him unanimous praise across the board, especially due to his maturity and self-awareness.

The rapper’s latest album likely won’t sell as much as his sophomore album but he’s still on pace to make a splash on the charts. According to Hits Daily Double, Jackman is on pace to move anywhere from 45K to 50K in its first week. It’s a major drop from Come Home The Kids Miss You, which reached #3 on the Billboard 200 with 113K units in total. However, Jackman also arrived without much of a rollout or a lead single to propel its commercial success. Overall, it’s still a win for Jack as he aims for a top 10 debut.

Jack Harlow First Week Projections

The release of Jack Harlow’s new album comes shortly after the trailer of White Men Can’t Jump. The remake of the 1992 classic finds Harlow in his first-ever starring role alongside Sinqua Walls. The film’s drummed up plenty of hype since it was first announced but with the release of the trailer, it seems like fans are more than impressed with Harlow’s acting chops. With a May 19th release date set, we’re anticipating to see if the remake will live up to the original.

Overall, things are in a good space for Jack Harlow these days and it looks like he’ll be getting even deeper into the film world following White Men Can’t Jump. The rapper was recently tapped to star in the Apple Orginal Film The Instigators. Harlow joins an impressive cast including Matt Damon, Casey Affleck, Ving Rhames, Ron Perlman, and more. While Harlow has already earned praise from rap’s elite, such as Kanye and Drake, perhaps, we could expect his acting chops to receive similar acclaim from Hollywood’s equivalent. Share your thuoghts on Jackman in the comment section below.

Kendrick Lamar Surpasses Drake With Wild “Big Steppers” Tour Record

Kendrick Lamar is easily one of the biggest artists in the entire world right now. However, there are plenty of other artists for him to contend with. On a mainstream level, he is really going up against heavyweights such as Drake, J. Cole, Kanye West, and a whole host of others. Overall, Kendrick has done a great job of maneuvering around his competition. At the end of the day, he does his own thing, and he does it impeccably well. By now, it is impossible to deny his greatness and his artistry.

That said, Kendrick Lamar is currently on his “The Big Steppers” tour. Of course, this is a world tour that was made to promote his recent album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Overall, this was a huge release for Kendrick as he hadn’t released an album in five years. Moreover, fans wanted to see what kind of growth he would come through with. In the end, Lamar did not disappoint, and his tour has been more evidence of just how unique of an artist he is. Recently, he even broke a record that would make Drake blush.

Kendrick Lamar Is At The Top

According to @touringdata on Twitter, Kendrick Lamar is now the rapper with the highest-grossing tour in the history of music. So far, he has sold 929K tickets across 73 shows. This has brought in $110.9 million. Furthermore, this record has allowed him to surpass Drake, who had the record previously. Drake’s “Aubrey & The Three Migos” tour is now second on the list, while his “Summer Sixteen” tour is third. Additionally, “Watch The Throne,” “Damn,” and “Astroworld” are the tours that round out the Top 6.

Once again, these numbers go to show that Kendrick Lamar is a generational artist. He is massive all around the globe, and the fans want to go out and see him. Hopefully, he is able to come through with another new project sometime soon. Overall, we think fans would be very happy with that given how long it took last time. Stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the music world.

Lil Wayne Surpasses 25 Billion Streams On Spotify

There’s hardly a rapper like Lil Wayne who adapted and prospered through the evolution of the music industry in the past 30 years. When CDs were at the height of popularity, he was a member of the Hot Boyz, revving for his solo debut. Then, he shifted the mixtape game indefinitely during the mid-aughts. Still, he remains a giant on streaming platforms across the board, especially Spotify. New reports claim that Weezy F. Baby has officially passed 25 billion streams on Spotify across all credits. It’s an impressive feat that goes to show how timeless his catalog is.

Still, Lil Wayne has ways to go before he could become the highest-streaming rapper, a title that belongs to his protegé Drake. Lil Wayne’s reached some phenomenal milestones throughout the streaming era. Tha Carter III, for example, recently reached 1 billion streams on Spotify, contributing to Lil Wayne’s overall streaming success. The rapper currently has 32 million monthly listeners but his most streamed records are those that he features on. DJ Khaled’s “I’m The One” ft. Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, and Quavo sits at 1,172,372,958. Second to DJ Khaled’s hit record is “Sucker For Pain,” Lil Wayne’s collab with Wiz Khalifa and Imagine Dragons for the Suicide Squad soundtrack that currently has 1,025,032,852 streams.

Lil Wayne’s Reaches New Streaming Heights

Wayne’s massive accomplishment arrives in the midst of his Welcome To Tha Carter tour. In the past month, Wayne’s embarked on a must-see tour in intimate settings where he provides day-one fans with a journey through his catalog. The rapper’s also brought through a series of guests including Drake, Cam’ron and NLE Choppa, who gifted Wayne a gorgeous new chain as a token of his gratitude.

We could imagine that Lil Wayne will likely keep his Spotify momentum high, especially with a new album on the way. The rapper announced Tha Carter VI last summer and later, launched a pre-save link. Still, he hasn’t left fans empty handed. Along with collaborating with Swizz Beatz on “Kant Nobody” and most recently, “That Sh*t Right Here,” Lil Wayne celebrated his career with the I Am Music compilation project.

“Princess Diana” Remix Lands Ice Spice & Nicki Minaj At No. 4 On Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart

This past weekend, Ice Spice’s producer, RiotUSA, was accused of paying fans to listen to their “Princess Diana (Remix)” with Nicki Minaj. The highly anticipated track dropped earlier this month, and while it garnered plenty of attention on its own accord, social media users shared screenshots of the music maker offering them money in exchange for streams. Regardless of the validity of those claims, the numbers are certainly speaking for themselves on the latest Billboard Hot 100 chart. SZA’s “Kill Bill” from last year’s SOS album is still holding onto the top spot, and titles from Morgan Wallen and Miley Cyrus follow.

Coming in fourth place are two of our favourite rap divas, marking Spice’s biggest charting song as a lead artist so far in her short career. As XXL notes, she and PinkPantheress also made it into the top 10 earlier this year with their “Boy’s a liar Pt.2” collaborative effort. On today’s (April 25) update, it remains in the same position (having previously peaked at No. 3 thanks to growing popularity on TikTok), coming after The Weeknd and Ariana Grande’s “Die For You (Remix)” and Drake’s latest official release, “Search & Rescue.”

Billboard‘s Latest Hot 100 Chart

On Monday (April 24), the “Bikini Bottom” hitmaker reflected on her latest W with a tweet. “So proud of ‘Princess Diana’ with Nicki, like my dream collab really came true. I can die happy now.” The mother of one also gave a shoutout to Spice on social media, writing, “Y’ALL!!!!! Two songs in the TOP 10 is crazy!!!!! Congratulations!!! Princesssssss @icespicee_ #PrincessDiana #HeavyOnIt.” Minaj also told the Barbz to “stay tuned,” and sent out plenty of love to her undeniably loyal fan base. “[Thanks] queen 🥰💕💕💕 We eatin’ good [tonight]!”

After dropping the first “Princess Diana (Remix)” on April 14, the duo returned four days later with six different versions of the catchy track for your listening pleasure. Among them were the “extendo clip,” sped up, slowed down, and instrumentals, as well as the 23-year-old’s original solo cut.
