Budden has proven to be one of the most beloved commenters on the culture. Sure, he may be disagreeable at times, but he is always entertaining when giving his opinion. Furthermore, he is someone who has been very critical of Drake in the past, which has made fans doubly curious about his thoughts on the Kendrick Lamar feud.

After Kendrick dropped “Not Like Us” on Saturday, Budden hopped on a stream with DJ Akademiks. It was here where he claimed that Drizzy was currently losing. He felt like a time stamp record was necessary, although that is not what Drake gave us. Instead, he came through with “The Heart Part 6” which felt like a surrender. In the latest episode of the Joe Budden Podcast, Joe discussed the beef and revealed just how much he loves “Not Like Us.” He even used the song to taunt Ish, who is seemingly on Drake’s side.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a banger/ Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” has bounced Drake out of holding a Spotify record. According to ChartData, “Not Like Us” has the biggest single streaming day for a Hip-Hop song in history, surpassing Drake’s “Girls Like Girls” featuring Lil Baby.

“Not Like Us” has hit the top of the Global Spotif chart with 10.986 million streams. “Girls Like Girls” was at 6.593.

All you have to do is mention Sweet Chin Music, and WWE icon Shawn Michaels will be right around the corner. Kendrick Lamar mentioned the wrestling finishing move on “Not Like Us,” prompting Michaels to offer his services to the duo to settle the differences.

“Put the wrong label on me, I’ma get ’em dropped/Sweet Chin Music and I won’t pass the aux,” Kendrick Lamar rapped.

“A little Sweet Chin Music goes a long way,” Michaels wrote. “@kendricklamar, you and @Drake are formally invited to #WWENXT to settle this thing. I’m even offering my services to mediate.”

Drake Trolled With Disrespectful GoFundMe’s Amid Kendrick Lamar Beef

Drake is currently in the midst of a pretty brutal feud with Kendrick Lamar. Overall, fans believe Kendrick is the official winner in all of this. “Meet The Grahams” was a massive gut punch, however, “Not Like Us” was a real knockout blow. It is a catchy track that sees Drake and his entire OVO crew being accused of pedophilia and predatory behavior. This is the last thing Drake needed, and at this point, it seems like he is throwing in the towel. However, Kendrick still has to answer for some things that were laid out in “Family Matters” and “The Heart Part 6.”

That said, now that fans have decided that Kendrick is the winner, the Drizzy haters are out in full force. Subsequently, this has led to a whole lot of trolling on social media. For instance, according to TMZ, multiple Drake-related GoFundMes have popped up over the last few days. Many of them are declaring the artist as “finished,” while looking to raise funds for a funeral. Moreover, there are some who are making Kendrick-related GoFundMe pages, with the intent of getting him more studio time. As if he needs money for that?

Some of the names for these fundraisers include “Support Kendrick Lamar’s Studio Time for the Ultimate Diss T;” “Join the Love Fund for Drake’s Send-Off;” “RIP Drake(champagnepapi): Fans Unite in Grief.” At this point, GoFundMe is looking to take some of these down as they go against the website’s terms of service. Having said all of that, this just goes to show that fans love to take things too far when their favorites are involved.

Cam’ron & Mase Switch Things Up By Declaring Kendrick Lamar The Winner Over Drake

Cam’ron and Mase have been tapped into the Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud. However, last week, they only got a small sample size of what was to come. On Tuesday, Kendrick dropped off “Euphoria” which was a bit of a polarizing release. Although a lot of fans enjoyed the song, there were some who felt like “Push Ups” was better. In fact, Cam and Mase were quick to declare Drake the leader of the war. It was a take that a lot of fans took issue with, however, they remained tied to their declarations.

On Friday night, Drake and Kendrick shook things up. They went toe to toe with tracks like “Family Matters” and subsequently, “Meet The Grahams.” On Saturday, Kendrick delivered a banger with “Not Like Us,” and on Sunday, Drizzy finished things off with a response called “The Heart Part 6.” Overall, Drake’s track sounded as though he was tired of all of this. Almost as though he just wants this to come to an end. Cam’ron and Mase were on It Is What It Is this morning, and they seemed to be disappointed with how Drizzy opted to finish this off.

As Cam’ron explains, Drake can’t just decide when this ends. Instead, it is up to the fans to really give their seal of approval. This is an opinion that seems to be quite popular right now, with only a few people still proclaiming that Drake is up.

DJ Vlad Clears The Air After Threatening To Get Princeton Professor Fired

DJ Vlad says he won’t be reaching out to Princeton in an apparent attempt to get Professor Morgan Jerkins fired from the university after threatening to do so. The two had a heated back and forth on Twitter after Vlad posted: “Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” needed a better mix. It takes away from the song.” Jerkins took issue with the take and replied: “You are WHITE. This is a BLACK FOLK AFFAIR.” She added that the conversation “should center Black people.”

“Don’t try to change your words now. I’ll be reaching out to @princeton about this on Monday,” Vlad then replied. The move warranted tons of backlash from hip-hop fans. “This is something a white person would do,” one user wrote. Another added: “You have to see the irony here.”

Terrace Martin Warns Drake’s L.A. OVO-Affiliates: “Summer Just Got Hotter”

Terrace Martin shared a warning for any OVO affiliates of Drake based out of Los Angeles on Twitter, over the weekend. Following the release of Kendrick Lamar’s diss, “Not Like Us,” Martin says the summer has just gotten hotter for any friends of Drake in the rapper’s hometown. “Yall in trouble,” he wrote in the since-deleted tweet caught by HipHopDX. “To my OVO folks living in LA. Your summer just got hotter. Stay home with air on or move back to the 6 [dog on leash emoji]. With love Terrace.”

On “Not Like Us,” Lamar teamed up with Mustard for a beat on which he labeled Drake a pedophile, accused him of sleeping with Lil Wayne’s ex-girl, and much more. Additionally, he called out several members of OVO directly. At one point, he raps: “Say Drake, I hear you like ’em young / You better not ever go to cell block one / To any b*tch that talk to him and they in love / Just make sure you hide your little sister from him.”

Kendrick Lamar Fans Label Drake’s House On Google Maps: “Owned By Kendrick”

Kendrick Lamar fans and Drake fans are not as different as they think. After Kendrick Lamar used Drake’s house with child sex offender markers as his cover art for the “Not Like Us” diss track, it seems like some pgLang followers got creative with Google Maps’ option to customize locations. Moreover, they now read things like “Owned by Kendrick,” “A-Minor,” “Kendrick’s dog,” etc. K.Dot’s supporters are using the Internet narratives much in the same way that the OVO camp (including its boss) has done during this beef. For this and for the horrid allegations thrown at both MCs, there’s a lot more even playing field that die-hards on either side would have you believe.

Furthermore, no one knows how this beef will age, what will clear up, what more will come out, and whether or not Kendrick Lamar will really go overkill and risk a desperate look with yet another diss. Drake is in an interesting position right now to double down or change course, and we know that either option could be very deadly. The question now is what it will take for him to do that, and whether K.Dot’s pressure tactics will ever backfire when the hype behind a drop is so massive. Allegations aside, both are fearlessly calculating and strategizing their efforts.

Drake’s House Targeted By Kendrick Lamar Fans On Google Maps

Elsewhere, Drake is rumored to have responded to Metro Boomin’s “diss beat” online, although it’s an alleged response since it’s hard to find where the actual screenshotted comment comes from or if it’s just doctored. Either way, he did directly respond to the daughter claims by outright denying them on his Instagram Story, but not to any of the other claims that Kendrick Lamar put forth. The Toronto superstar asked Mr. Morale for some paperwork on his snitching claims and claimed that he pressured Tupac’s estate to take down his earlier diss, but no direct statements emerged about the harsher accusations. Kendrick, on the other hand, grouped all of Drake’s shots together as lies and kept claiming them as such in these diss tracks, which is still a sidestep.

Whether it’s Drake’s house or Kendrick Lamar’s height, there’s been a lot of para-social fun on social media with folks documenting and clowning the magnitude of this moment in mainstream hip-hop. The culture is debating a winner, and Kendrick Lamar and Drake might not have even dealt the killing blow yet. Once there’s proof on the table, then this might be a different story, and it hopefully should be taken seriously. But for now, not even Google is safe from this war.

The hip-hop world is reacting wildly and quickly to Kendrick Lamar’s latest Drake diss, the Mustard-produced West Coast banger “Not Like Us.” While the jury’s still out on who officially won, the Toronto superstar sure has a lot of pressure and things to answer for, as does his Compton counterpart. No one will forget or avoid predator, domestic violence, deadbeat, or false paternity allegations forever. With this context in mind, Everyday Struggle saw a reunion recently, as DJ Akademiks invited Joe Budden to speak over the phone during his stream and discuss this new song. Their thoughts may surprise you, but the overall verdict is an impressed one.

“Does that matter, though?” DJ Akademiks asked Joe Budden about the claims that Kendrick Lamar and Drake have launched at each other. Budden proposed that both being right about “tea” and speaking on it openly and confidently are important metrics to judge this by. Ak added that Kendrick was able to match Drake on the “club record” front, and both commentators had high praise for each MC’s tactics and playmaking. Akademiks was streaming live when the song was released and after listening, he remarked: “Drake, you gotta shoot him now I’m sorry.” Rick Ross, who has been beefing with the Toronto rapper in his own right, shared a video of himself at a pool party where the track was playing.

Denzel Curry had praise for the song on Twitter, remarking: “This man is relentless,” while also comparing the level of hatred to Obi-Wan and Anakin in Star Wars. Kendrick Lamar went back at Drake again on Saturday with a second straight diss track in under 24 hours. On his latest song, “Not Like Us,” Lamar teams up with DJ Mustard to call out several members of Drake’s OVO imprint while also labeling the Toronto rapper himself a “pedophile.” The night before Drake had dropped, “Family Matters,” which prompted an immediate response from Lamar in the form of “Meet The Grahams.”

In one of the more ear-catching moments from the newest song, Lamar raps: “They tell me Chubbs the only one that get your hand-me-downs / And Party at the party, playin’ with his nose now / And Baka got a weird case, why is he around? / Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles.”

Kendrick Lamar Goes Back To Back On Drake

When Lamar uploaded the song on YouTube, fans were shocked by the prolific output of diss tracks in the comments section. “This isn’t even beef anymore it’s just pure hatred,” one top comment reads. “3 diss tracks in 48 hours is crazy.” Another wrote: “Kendrick you were made for this my brother. Truly gifted! Blessings!!!” Fans aren’t the only ones impressed with the recent tracks. Rick Ross compared Lamar to Andre 3000 following the release of “Meet The Grahams,” which he says is the closest there is to the Outkast rapper being in a rap battle.

Lamar kicked off the feud with Drake following the release of his appearance on Metro Boomin and Future’s “Like That,” earlier this year. In the weeks that followed, Lamar and Drake traded several diss tracks back and forth.
