NLE Choppa Speaks On His Decision To Perform At LGBTQIA+ Pride Events

NLE Choppa has faced a lot of backlash in the past for his support of the LGBTQIA+ community and his decision to perform at Pride events. This criticism comes from both sides of the aisle, with bigots trashing his solidarity and community members accusing him of just pandering and co-opting their identity. However, when you hear the Memphis MC talk about the situation, it’s clear that he’s trying to come from a place of support and unity above all else. He recently reflected on this matter during a new episode of the Caresha Please podcast with former City Girls member Yung Miami.

“Yeah, I’m appreciative of it,” NLE Choppa told Yung Miami about having a big queer following. “I’m appreciative of it because, at the end of the day, I feel like we are taught to not show love to people because they walk a different life. Who taught that s**t? Who taught that people are supposed to show hate in any instance? God don’t do that. God is love. What the hell is we showing hate for? He would never, He would never. What would God do?”

NLE Choppa Is Still Supportive Of The Queer Community

Of course, this new era for NLE Choppa has not only resulted in some of his biggest hits and moments of attention, but also a lot of opportunities for collaboration and media expansions. For example, he recently unveiled the trailer for a wild comedy film with him, Lil Wayne, Ray Vaughn, Sophie Rain, and many others. Whether or not you like what Choppa engages with, he continues to build his extracurricular achievements within and outside of his music career. Even if some are clearly bigger than others, it doesn’t change the consistent advocacy and norm-challenging behavior which does open the door for deeper discussion to people outside of the loop.

Meanwhile, NLE Choppa still engages in some of the typical Internet antics here and there, even if only tangentially. His baby mama recently tasked her Instagram Live viewers with watching her child, which sent social media for a loop earlier this year. But we’ll see what other reflections on identity and solidarity emerge from this perspective.

Finesse2Tymes is back with a fresh dose of unfiltered attitude in his new “Very Demure” video, teaming up with fellow Memphis star NLE Choppa. A remix of last month’s hit “Demure,” the track and video riff on social media’s latest trends, as the two rappers deliver unapologetically raw verses that prove they’re anything but demure.

Directed by VisionBank, the “Very Demure” video showcases Finesse and NLE Choppa posing alongside a striking yellow Lamborghini, dripping in designer fits and diamonds. NLE joins Finesse with a high-energy verse, throwing in his signature dance moves to keep the energy up.

This release builds excitement for Finesse2Tymes’ upcoming project Art of War, dropping November 22. The album caps off a strong year for the rapper, who’s gained momentum with popular singles like “Down Bad” and “Show Dat Work” featuring GloRilla and Rob49. Art of War is set to further elevate Finesse2Tymes as he heads into 2025.

Exhibiting his creative versatility, 21-year-old NLE Choppa has released a 45-minute short film, NLE Choppa Presents: The Wash, co-directed with Ben Marc. The short is a modern tribute to the 2001 cult classic The Wash, starring Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Released through NLE Entertainment/Warner Records, it follows the recent success of Choppa’s hit single “Or What” featuring 41 and his new project, SLUT SZN.

NLE Choppa Presents: The Wash follows Choppa as he scrambles to save his struggling car wash business. In a comedic twist, he hires a bold team of female staff and revamps the service list with risqué names like “Sloppy Toppy” and “Rim Job,” adding humor to the plot. The story, driven by the cast’s natural chemistry, delivers laughs with a heartfelt message about perseverance and faith.

The film features appearances from Lil Wayne, Lou Ratchet, Sukihana, TraRags, and more, adding to the charisma and chaotic fun of Choppa’s cinematic debut.

NLE Choppa Shares A Downright Over The Top Trailer For Upcoming Comedy Film

NLE Choppa has caught some heat for some of his actions online. It relates to his music as well, especially as of late due to how overtly sexual he has portrayed himself to be. Overall, the young rapper is not everyone’s cup of tea, but he doesn’t seem to be pandering to anyone. He’s going to make career choices that he wants to make and he’s not going to conform to other’s expectations. NLE Choppa is taking risks like with his SLUT SZN merchandise, for example. Instead of just selling apparel, he’s turning into a fully fleshed out brand by promoting it an upcoming film.

The Memphis MC is dipping his toes into the world of filmmaking and acting by producing The Wash. It’s going to be out on YouTube exclusively October 30 and features a whole bunch of cameos. Fellow rappers such as collaborators Lil Wayne and Ray Vaughn make appearances in this comedy picture about Choppa opening and trying to run a successful car wash business. SLUT SZN Car Wash has employees such as OnlyFans content creator Sophie Rain, Suki and social media personality Durell “Rell” Smyle. Additionally, customers look to be J.P. and online comedian Tra Rags.

Overall, it looks to be a raunchy and over the top movie, but true to Choppa’s brand. The film is also being produced by an independent entertainment company by the name of VisionBank Films. As for the story and script, it’s conjured up by NLE and BenMarc, who’s shot music videos and a Nightmare on Cottonwood short film for the rapper in the past. Fans seem to be down for it for the most part and look forward to what he has to offer up in his debut movie.

What are your thoughts on NLE Choppa’s trailer for his upcoming debut film, The Wash? Do you think this will be a respectable first effort? Are you going to tune in? NLE Choppa’s Baby Momma Puts IG Live In Charge Of Watching Her Child

NLE Choppa is always putting himself in some sort of position to be ridiculed. Whether it be his songs or activity on social media, his ability to get people riled up needs to be studied. For example, just a few weeks ago, he got people on Twitter all wound up over his “I’m Coming Out…” tweet. It turned out to be for a new single, as well as a reveal for a new album and apparel drop. This led to some divide, as some think he’s leveraging his love from the LGBTQ+ community too much. However, one of his baby mommas, Marissa Da’Nae, swooped in to defend his actions.

“He’s not gay, he’s just trolling y’all because y’all think he gay. Or whatever the f***, I don’t know why y’all troll him”. Now, though, it seems Choppa’s controversial behavior is rubbing off on Marissa, at least in the eyes of some online. According to a repost from livebitez, the mother of two of NLE Choppa’s kids hopped on IG Live while tending to their youngest, Chozen Wone. She appears to get some groceries delivered to the house, so she asks her audience to watch him while she’s away for a moment.

However, when she’s gone, you can still hear Marissa in the background while Chozen looks adorable in his playpen. She returns just seconds later, so we aren’t really sure as to why some are blowing this out of proportion. A fair number of people agree with our analysis, saying, “So, she was gone for less than a minute, I can’t stand these “perfect moms”. “This happens all day every day, he’s in a safe area in his play pen. I don’t get the issue”, another adds.

What are your thoughts on NLE Choppa’s baby momma leaving their child to be watched by IG Live viewers? Are people blowing this out of proportion, why or why not? Do you think him or Marissa Da’Nae will respond? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. NLE Choppa Drops A Moody Party Anthem With New Single “Gang Baby”

NLE Choppa is not a subtle emcee. He’s crass, aggressive and sexual in nearly all of his lyrics. It’s telling that his biggest single to date is called “SLUT ME OUT.” He knows what he wants, and he knows that his fans like hearing it. The rapper does offer some sonic switch ups, though, on his new album SLUT SZN. The subject matter is repetitive, sure, but the opening track, “Gang Baby,” is deceptively one of the most laid back and catchy songs NLE Choppa has put out in recent memory.

“Gang Baby” has an absolutely killer beat courtesy of producers BandPlay and Trgc. They provide NLE Choppa with something moodier and more ominous that he’s used to, but it works well. “Gang Baby” is slathered in push-and-pull synth lines that force the rapper to adjust his usual flow. He sounds a bit more slurred on the song, and his flow finds a catchy pocket within the beat. It helps, however, that the chorus is one of the catchiest on the entire album. “B-a-n-g baby, let me b-a-n-g baby,” NLE sings. “Let me f**k some. B-a-n-g baby, let me b-a-n-g baby. I’m in heat, come on.” “Gang Baby” really benefits from being the lead in song to “SLUT ME OUT 2” on the SLUT SZN album. It’s sonic whiplash, but both work for very different reasons.

Let us know what you think of this brand-new track, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Ray Vaughn & NLE Choppa Hold Nothing Back On “FNBM”

TDE’s Ray Vaughn is doing everything but dropping an album at this point. Outside two EPs, the Long Beach, California rapper has no full-length to his name six years in. However, in January, we did get word from the label about which of their signees would be releasing an LP. So far, the ones we can scratch off the list include ScHoolboy Q, Doechii, SiR, Zacari, and Devin Malik. With just about two months to go, there’s still a lot of artists that are supposedly still going to be dropping before year’s end. One of them is in fact Ray Vaughn, so hopefully with this release of “FNBM”, we are closer to finding out more information soon.

This is his second single in just a week-long period with the trending “Everybody Dies” featuring SiR being the previous record. Hilariously, the tonal difference between these two songs is immense. “Everybody Dies” was an excellently written piece about living a fulfilling live and striving for greatness. On “FNBM”, Ray Vaughn is working with NLE Choppa and if you’ve been keeping up with the latter lately, you know what you’re going to be in for. We will let you decipher the title yourself by checking on the link for the track below, but some of these bars may give it away. “Gulp gulp gulp”, three thousand what I call her (Call her) / She don’t forget the balls, bunny b**** a real baller (Real baller) / F*** a baby daddy if you play you get a face shot (Brrt)“.

NLE Choppa Claims He’s The “Michael Jackson Of Hip-Hop” In IG Rant

NLE Choppa loves to talk. More specifically, he likes to say things that will get attention. The rapper may have just topped himself, however, on September 16th. He took to Instagram to hype up his skills and his capabilities as a hit maker. NLE Choppa has popular songs for sure, but he decided to take things a little further than most would expect. It would have been a lot to proclaim himself one of the best rappers of his generation, but he claimed that he was the best rapper of his generation. Choppa likened himself to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

The inciting incident behind the claim happened in Canada. NLE Choppa sold out a concert in the Great White North, and was really feeling himself as a result. “Put some respect on my name,” he yelled at his followers. “I am the greatest of my generation… “Y’all gotta catch up I’m ahead of the pack I’m only 21 selling out arenas.” It’s all pretty standard as far as rappers flexing goes. It was the last statement that turned heads, though. “I might as well say heeeheee round here,” he asserted. “I’m on my MJ.”

NLE Choppa Likened Himself To The King Of Pop

NLE Choppa knew what he was doing when he evoked Michael Jackson. Don’t believe us? The rapper decided to double down on his boldest (and frankly, most outlandish claim), in a second Instagram post. He uploaded a video of a crowd singing along to his biggest song, “Slut Me Out 2,” and cleared up any ambiguity regarding the MJ comparison. “Micheal Jackson Of Hip Hop,” he wrote. “Point Blank Period.” Never mind the fact that NLE Choppa only has 12 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, and no number ones. Michael Jackson has 51 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 and 13 number ones. That’s even taking into account the impact and pop cultural impact that MJ had, and continues to have.

NLE Choppa knows that comparing himself to the biggest artist of all time would make headlines and he was right. We’re writing about it. And despite being only halfway through the month, the MJ controversy is already the second time the rapper has gone viral. NLE Choppa announced that he was “coming out of the closet” on September 6. He confused viewers with his seemingly clickbait tweet. A few days later, he clarified that he was merely teasing a new song. “Never said I was gay,” he wrote. “A New Project This Month, and Black Duck Boots. Yall ain’t let me finish.”

NLE Choppa Is Livid Over Complex’s Best Rappers In Their 20s List

Complex recently put out yet another hotly debated list of the 20 best rappers in their 20s right now, and the hot takes and backlash flowed like boiling water. However, for all the outraged fan reactions and discussions, it seems like no one took this list more personally and seriously than NLE Choppa. He recently took to social media to vent about his exclusion from the list, although he made it clear that he did not mean to disrespect anyone on it or discredit their deservedness. The Memphis native flaunted about his success at a very, very young age, and posited that there are very few people in his space that are reaching the highs that he is.

Of course, whether or not you agree is up to you, but NLE Choppa feels like the publication should’ve made a 21 best rappers list as to not boot him off, since he feels as deserving of praise as his peers. Still, we doubt that this will slow him down in any way. The 21-year-old has done a great job of battling bigots who are mad at his support of the LGBTQIA+ community. Some queer-baiting accusations followed, but that’s just part of the industry promo machine.

NLE Choppa Rants Against Complex‘s Best Rappers In Their 20s List

Elsewhere during the clip above, NLE Choppa also hinted at big things coming from him in October once he wraps up this current era. For those unaware, his latest contribution to it is “SLUT ME OUT 3” with Carey Washington. Not only does the track provide a sonic switch-up from previous installments, but it’s also somehow dirtier than ever. We’ll see whether or not these next releases follow these footsteps, go back to tried and true formulas, or bring something else entirely to the table as a new approach.

We’re sure that many rappers in their 20s probably feel like NLE Choppa to a certain degree. But he has a unique penchant for boldly standing tall against criticism. For example, Choppa recently turned heads with some curious style choices at New York Fashion Week, but he had a great time all the same. Let us know whether you’d put him in your top 20 rappers in their 20s list down in the comments section below.

NLE Choppa Manages To Get Even Nastier On “SLUT ME OUT 3” With Carey Washington

NLE Choppa had the internet extremely confused last week with his tweet, “I’m Coming Out”. Given what he’s been up to musically and online, people were jumping to conclusions that it was something in regard to his sexuality. But “Yall ain’t let me finish”. Instead, he was coming out “With New Song… A New Project This Month, and Black Duck Boots“. It appears that he’s following this release of things in order because NLE Choppa is here with “SLUT ME OUT 3”.

This is now the third release in his newest single series and perhaps a follow-up to the now completed “Shotta Flow” run. Additionally, this looks to be a new single for his “new project this month”. It’s called the Slut SZN Mixtape, and according to Genius, its arriving on September 27. There was some speculation it was going to drop in August after the announcement of Choppa’s Slut SZN clothing line. But it appears we now have a concrete date given the eclectic Memphis MC’s tweet. With “SLUT ME OUT 3”, NLE Choppa is bringing more of a pop/disco/dance pop vibe with this one. But don’t let the clean and agreeable production fool you. This may be the most descriptive and raunchy one out of the trio yet.
