GloRilla may be the woman to unite the ladies of Hip-Hop. Speaking on “Aite” from her Ehhthang Ehhthang album, GloRilla dreams of a day where Nicki Minaj and Cardi B could collaborate.
Overnight, GloRilla released her new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang. She’s been teasing the project for a few months now and the lead single “Yeah Glo!” has been a big success. Alongside the release of the record she also released her next single, the similarly hyped up collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion “Wanna Be.” While that track is justifiably getting a lot of the discussion surrounding the record, fans have also found a particularly notable moment on the song “Aite.”
Lyrically, GloRilla speaks on the years-long supposed beef between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. But the only reason she brings it up is that she’s ready for them to bury the hatchet. “I just pray one day the bad b*tches would come together. Cause Cardi and Nicki on a track would break some f*cking records,” she says on “Aite.” In the comments of a post about the lyric, fans came to her defense. “I respect her for saying names because all the other girls be throwing shade” and “She said a word ! Nicki & Cardi would’ve had the most accolades together” two of the top comments on the post read. Check out the full lyric from her new song below.
Earlier this week, GloRilla appeared on the newest episode of Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. While there she was once again asked about Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard. She confessed her interest in the NBA star during this year’s All-Star Weekend festivities. But as she’s often done ever since she found a way to subtly avoid sharing any real details when asked.
What she was much more willing to talk about was the cosign LeBron James gave to her new hit “Yeah Glo!” What do you think of GloRilla mentioning Nicki and Cardi B in one of her new songs? Do you agree with her that the pair need to put their beef in the past? Let us know in the comment section below.
Here’s an exercise: Hop on social media and look for a post about Cardi B or Nicki Minaj. Go to the comments of the post, and the odds are that you will see a comment disparaging one or both of the two rappers. Cardi and Minaj’s beef, and that between their fans, is one of the strongest in music, but GloRilla wishes it wasn’t so.
On “Aite,” from her new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang, GloRilla envisions a world where the two would put their differences aside and make a banger together. On the song’s second verse, Glo raps, “I just pray one day the bad b*tches would come together / ‘Cause Cardi and Nicki on a track would break some f*ckin’ records.” Later in the verse, she raps, “They treat this sh*t like competition, I see it as art / Sh*t’ll be platinum in the hood but it won’t see the charts” (“they” referring to people in general, not Cardi and Nicki specifically).
Speaking of big-time collaborations, Ehhthang Ehhthang sees GloRilla work with Megan Thee Stallion on “Wanna Be.”

I think there might be some confusion on what was said. I asked why he feels so comfortable calling me Mexican? I have no Mexican parents. My mom is Trini.. she came out of a whole black woman. My father is Dominican…I’m Dominican just like you. I also used other Dominicans as… https://t.co/p55fhPssMK
The above picture was taken at Vanity Fair‘s annual Oscars party this year. Ice Spice sent it to Cardi on Twitter after Cardi asked if she could see it while engaged in an intense discussion of race with an influencer, Raymonte Cole (it’s a long story).
After Cardi and Raymonte referenced Ice Spice, the “Think U The Sh*t” rapper popped up herself to offer a correction. Not appearing to take offense in the slightest, Cardi politely requested, “Can you send me that pic you took of me wit ya camera from vanity fair? Thank youuu.” Ice obliged, and with that, hopefully ended about a year’s worth of utterly nonsensical rage-farming, Twitter trolling, and Stan war flame-fanning that has honestly been tired since before anyone even know who Ice Spice was.
Same reason why you felt comfortable calling me a Mexican when I’m Dominican and I asked you why you feel comfortable calling me a Mexican when ice and jharell Jerome Zoe Saldana are Dominicans and you don’t do that to them. You do it to me because you know that’s what people use… https://t.co/sXHJJV7i4u
Of course, the primary drivers behind the discourse discord, the Barbz, are losing their sh*t, but at this point, I would hope we have all learned they deserve precisely none of our collective attention, especially because that’s all they seem to want. Y’all can, like, join a bowling league or something. Of course, some fans are STILL trying to frame the whole exchange in antagonistic terms but I guess life is either really messy or really boring over there.
Anyway, now that Ice Spice has apparently been in direct proximity with both Cardi B and Latto without violence, perhaps my dream of a “girl rap” Avengers carrying Joe Budden directly to the dumpster his podcast takes belong in is one step closer.
Nicki Minaj has been packing arenas on her Pink Friday 2 Tour, which has fallen in good favor with the Barbz. Over the course of the tour, Nicki has been performing hit-after-hit from her catalog, which spans nearly two decades. She has also shown love to her loyal fan base, by sharing stories with them, shouting them out to the audience, and offering little tidbits of advice.
During her DC show last night, Minaj had some words to say in regard to practicing celibacy.
“Stop being a f*cking hoe,” Minaj said to the audience. “Abstain from sex and find out who you are first. And then, the universe will do it for you.”
Many of the Barbz cheered Minaj on, however, some found the message surprising. Over the course of her career, Minaj has been outspoken about her sexuality — notably with hits like “Anaconda” and “Super Freaky Girl.” But closer to the end of her spiel, Minaj made it clear that any vow of celibacy doesn’t have to be permanent.
“Abstain from sex for a little while,” Minaj said. “But if a [man] ever fumbled me, he stupid as f*ck.”
Nicki Minaj is currently supporting her first new album in 5 years on the massive Pink Friday 2 tour. The American leg has featured a ton of surprise guest stars making nightly news. That was also the vase when she stopped in D.C. over the weekend. While there she was joined on stage by none other than 50 Cent. The pair received praise from fans in person for the moments they delivered, but afterward some fans at home took another look and had different things to say.
As videos made the round online of the two on stage and 50 himself even shared his outfit to Instagram, some haters emerged. Comments on both posts take a shot as the shiny jean jacket he wore out on stage during his guest appearance. “50 looking a lil Fruity ” and “50 Dress Like He Aint Leave ’05 ” two comments on a video of the rapper on stage read. Check out the post he shared of his own outfit below.
50 Cent will get another shot to show off his on stage drip when he performs at Dreamville Festival later this week. The two day festival recently made some last minute adjustments to the previously announced lineup. That included dropping Chris Brown, who had to pull out of the festival for currently unknown reasons and replacing him with 50.
50 is also dealing with added pressure from a lawsuit filed in 2021 surrounding his Starz tv show Power. The lawsuit recently received a new motion that’s attempting to prevent both 50 and Starz from promoting the new upcoming Origins spinoff series of the show. The motion hasn’t had a ruling made on it yet. What do you think of the outfit 50 Cent wore on stage with Nicki Minaj over the weekend? Do you think he deserved some of the jokes fans made about the fit in his comments? Let us know in the comment section below.
Nicki Minaj has been on her tour for Pink Friday 2since the beginning of March and it has been going well for her. Sure, there have been some backstage issues too. But when it comes down to it, there a lot of moving parts and things are bound to not go as planned. The queen of rap is currently about 1/3 of the way through of her set of dates, taking a little Northeast trip over these last few days. Just yesterday (March 30), the hitmaker was back in her hometown of New York City and she had a little friend with her to tag along. According to HipHopDX, Nicki Minaj brought her three-year-old son, “Papa Bear,” to watch her rock the stage.
It is easily one of the cutest moments in hip-hop this year. Presumably, one of Nicki’s family members took a video of “Papa Bear” dancing along to his mama bear performing. He shakes his arms vigorously, but in an adorable way while watching Nicki from a suite. While the rapper does talk about “Papa” quite often, not too much is known still.
One of the biggest things fans want to know about him is his real name. Nicki Minaj faked out her fans in December about what “Papa Bear’s” government name is with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. She also dodged the question in a “73 Questions” segment with Vogue as well, saying she is more of a “nickname person.” Even if we never know his name, “Papa Bear” has won over our hearts with this video.
What are your thoughts on Nicki Minaj sharing a video of “Papa Bear” showing support during her tour performance? Are you shocked that Nicki did this, why or why not? Is she back on top as the best female rapper in the game? Have you been able to go to one of her shows? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Joe Budden could have hit the Madison Square Garden stage and delivered a “Pump It Up” performance.
During the recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden revealed Nicki Minaj reached out to him to perform his hit during her Pink Friday Tour stop in NYC. Budden denied it because he doesn’t know if he has the “hype” in him.
“Nicki hit me last night,” Budden said. “She hit me when she was about to go on in Jersey. I was home. She didn’t say, ‘Yo, come out to Jersey’ and do that. She was 30 minutes from going on stage, and she hit me. I said, ‘I want to go to the New York show.’ And she said, ‘Yeah, you’re gonna come out and do ‘Pump it Up.’”
Regarding rejecting the offer, Budden said, “I gotta go out there and act hype, and I don’t know, I ain’t hype no more.”
Speaking with his cohost Parks, Budden revealed his last stage performance was in 2016.
You can see the moment from the pod below.
Joe Budden turning down a Nicki Minaj Sold Out Arena performance invite is diabolical
Drake still has yet to respond to the shade thrown at him by his “Poetic Justice” collaborator Kendrick Lamar with a diss track of his own. This is leaving some to wonder if he’ll ever have any bars to spit about what went down between them. Interestingly, the father of one is still very active on social media. Specifically, he wasn’t afraid to poke fun at another opp of his – Joe Budden. On Saturday (March 30), Drizzy’s Instagram Story lit up with a snapshot of the podcaster wearing some seriously baggy sweatpants.
To complete his fit, Budden added a black hoodie, a shiny puffer jacket in the same colour, crisp white sneakers and a hat that reads, “FREE.” The Canadian’s trolling comes after his most recent performance in New York City, where he got some frustrations off his chest during “Energy.” On the picture of JB, Drake wrote, “What’s the vibes NY?!?” suggesting he was on the hunt for a fun way to spend his Easter weekend.
While Drake continues to troll Budden, Nicki Minaj is surprisingly putting their differences aside to show him love. The Queen of Rap invited her fellow artist to perform during her concert in New Jersey recently, specifically requesting “Pump It Up.” When the 43-year-old shared the news on his internet show, co-hosts and fans were disappointed in Budden for turning down the incredible opportunity. “I ain’t hype no more,” he simply said.
“That was a real song?” one IG user asked in @theshaderoom’s comments. “I thought it was just for ‘You Got Served’ ,” they laughed. “I’m not gonna lie… If you’re a kid you won’t understand how fire this would have been!! My 34-year-old ass WOULD HAVE BEEN GEEKED!!! I’m mad he said no!” another person admitted. Would you like to see Joe Budden do “Pump It Up” live?
