Nick Cannon Expertly Claps Back At Andy Cohen’s Vasectomy Inquiry: Watch

Nick Cannon’s large blended family sparks no shortage of conversation in the media. By now, the father of 12 has undeniably become a pro at defending his decisions. Last night, he did just that while chatting with hosts Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper on their New Year’s Eve Live show from Times Square.

The Bravo icon asked the recording artist about his “endgame” on his apparent “single-[handed]” quest to “[repopulate] the Earth.” He asked Cannon, “What is your plan?”

In response, the California native said, “Clearly, I don’t have a plan. Honestly, man, it’s just so much joy and elation that I have. The family that I have, I embrace it. I love it, and I don’t have a plan. That should have been clear from the jump.”

Cohen couldn’t help but retort with an inquiry that’s been on the minds of many as of late. “A vasectomy?” he teased. “Is that what you want me to get?” Cannon clapped back. “It’s my body, my choice.”

Turning the conversation back to a lighter topic, Cooper jumped in and asked the 42-year-old for any fatherly advice for new dads out there. He happily obliged, encouraging them to, “just operate out of love.”

“I mean some people may say that’s what got us here in the first place, but that’s what I would always do, and always do it with a smile,” he went on.

As far as New Year’s resolutions go, Cannon says he doesn’t specifically have any. “Like I said, I’m just so happy for health, and want to continue to be as healthy and filled with as much gratitude as possible for the next year,” he told Cohen and Cooper.

As TMZ notes, The Masked Singer host welcomed a total of five children in 2022. He and Bre Tiesi had their first, Legendary, in June. Afterward, LaNisha Cole welcomed baby Onyx, and Brittany Bell delivered Rise Messiah.

Additionally, Abby Da La Rosa gave birth to Zeppelin, a baby girl in recent weeks. His latest arrival, though, is Halo, who was born to Alyssa Scott after the death of their son Zen. Read more about the new baby here, and check back later for more pop culture updates.

Andy Cohen Suggested Nick Cannon Get A Vasectomy After Welcoming His 12th Child

Andy Cohen confirmed to Page Six that he and co-host Anderson Cooper wouldn’t drink during CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast, much to viewers’ dismay and Ryan Seacrest’s delight. But Cohen didn’t need liquid courage to ask Nick Cannon the most obvious question(s) after Cannon welcomed Halo Marie Cannon earlier this month, his 12th child and second with Alyssa Scott.

“Nick, I mean, you are singlehandedly repopulating the Earth. I give it up to you, man. What is your plan here? What is your endgame with the kids? You just want to keep going, or is there a number? Do you want to hit 20? Where are we going with this?” Cohen asked.

After shrugging and laughing it off, Cannon responded, “Andy, clearly I don’t have a plan. Honestly, man, it’s just so much joy and elation to have the family that I have. I embrace it, and I love it, but I don’t have a plan. That should’ve been clear from the jump.”

Cannon jokingly bucked against Cohen’s suggestion to get a vasectomy — “my body, my choice” — and gave advice to other fathers: “Just operate out of love. Some people may say that’s what got us here in the first place, but that’s what I would always do, and always do it with a smile.” Cannon has been a good sport about all of the jokes about his proficiency in fatherhood, even making a video about the stress of buying so many Christmas gifts.

To start the remote interview — Cannon videoed in from the Bahamas — Cohen also asked Cannon about his recent hospitalization for pneumonia. “I’m doing a lot better,” Cannon said. “With my condition in lupus and everything, it takes longer to get better than normal, but I’m surrounded by … energy here in paradise and bringing in the new year the right way. So, I feel amazing right now.”

LaNisha Cole Recites “Ciara’s Prayer” As Nick Cannon Welcomes Baby No. 12

Many celebrities became parents this year, including Rihanna and A$AP Rocky and Big Sean and Jhené Aiko. Nick Cannon’s name is also on the list. However, he has everyone else beat as he welcomed a total of five children this year, all of them with different women.

He and Bre Tiesi created their first, Legendary Love a few months ago. Shortly after, LaNisha Cole delivered her first with the entertainer, Onyx. Brittany Bell gave birth to her and Cannon’s third, Rise Messiah next.

Since then, Abby De La Rosa (who already shares twins with the recording artist) and Alyssa Scott have also grown their families. As you may recall, the latter previously carried Zen. He tragically died at just five months old after battling brain cancer.

Obviously, twelve children aren’t easy to handle – especially around the holidays. Cannon was candid about his whirlwind experience this year, comparing himself to Santa Claus as he manically travelled around to spend enough time with all of his offspring.

As his clan continues to expand, the reality TV host has come under scrutiny for his ability to show up for all of his children. For the most part, his baby mamas stay out of the public drama, though LaNisha seems to be using social media to make her voice heard as of late.

Earlier this month, she was linked to headlines when photos of Cannon snapping holiday photos with his other families were circulating online. Now, she’s shared an interesting post on her Story after her baby daddy and Scott’s little one, Halo, was born earlier this week.

“I pray the next man of my life will be my husband. I pray he loves me, leads me, guides me, reassures me,” she wrote, reciting lyrics from “Ciara’s Prayer.” They continue with, “I pray that he hold me. I pray that I have everything I want and need in him.”

“I pray he will love me the way that you love me. Your love is unconditional. You are the way, the truth, and the life. In you there’s hope. Lord, thank you for reminding me who I am,” Cole went on. “I am a queen. I deserve to be treated like one. I’m a warrior. I will get up. I’m a child of God, I’m everything you say I am. I’m an overcomer, I’m built for this.”

While she obviously doesn’t mention Cannon’s name, it’s clear that now that she’s a mother, the model is craving the constant companionship of a strong male in her life.

“I will remember the sound of Nicks voice saying ‘it’s a girl’ and the look of everything we’ve been through flash across his face,” Scott wrote on Instagram. “I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine. My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon!”

Nick Cannon Has Officially Welcomed Yet Another Child, A Daughter With Alyssa Scott

Nick Cannon joked that he was spending Christmas like Santa Claus and “traveling all night” to see his 11 children. But Alyssa Scott confirmed today, December 29, that she and Cannon welcomed another baby on December 14 — a girl named Halo Marie Cannon. Halo is Cannon’s 12th child overall and second with Scott. The two previously had Zen, who tragically passed away from brain cancer at five months old last December.

“December 14 2022. Our lives are forever changed,” Scott captioned her Instagram video. “Zen is in every breath I take. I know his spirit was with us in the room that morning. I know he is watching down on us. He shows me signs everyday. I will hold onto this memory forever. I will remember the sound of Nicks voice saying ‘it’s a girl’ and the look of everything we’ve been through flash across his face. I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine. My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon!”

The video begins with a tribute to Zen and the quote, “Grief is the love inside you shedding its skin, becoming a new form of love.” There are shots of Scott’s “Zen” tattoo and her rubbing her baby bump before we’re taken inside the delivery room. There, Cannon is beaming as Halo made her way into the world — becoming the first one to hold her and exclaim in surprised excitement, “A girl!” Cannon then hands a screaming Halo to an emotional Scott.

On December 5, Cannon had posted a lengthy tribute to Zen around the first anniversary of his death.

“Physically I’m definitely on the mend but Mentally and Spiritually I’m broken,” he wrote. “Been tossing and turning all night, and as much as I know I need rest, last night I couldn’t sleep at all. I can’t believe it’s been a year already since the toughest day of my life occurred. Such a painful anniversary. Losing a child has to be the heaviest, most dark and depressive experiences that I will never get over.”

He continued, “A mixture of guilt, pain, and sorrow is what I suppress daily. I am far from perfect and often fall short and make decisions in my life that many question, but anyone who knows me knows my heart. I love hard, I love big and I love with my entire Heart and Soul and I just wish my Little Man could’ve felt more of that love while he was here on Earth. One of my Spiritual Leaders recently told me that I am in the midst of one of the most challenging seasons of my life, but encouraged me to be steadfast and know that all of this will only make me stronger, and to not lean on my own understanding but to rely on the the peace that surpasses all. But let me tell you, it’s tough… I know a few days ago I wrote a post from my hospital bed saying I will be okay and I just needed rest so don’t waste your prayers on me but I can definitely use those prayers right now… Continue to Peacefully Rest My Son, Zen Scott Cannon. We Love you Eternally.”

Cannon was referring to his early December hospitalization due to pneumonia.

Scott confirmed her pregnancy in October, and Cannon was featured in intimate maternity photos in early November.

On November 11, Cannon welcomed Zeppelin Cannon, his 11th child, with Abby De La Rosa, with whom he already shared 18-month-old twin sons Zion and Zillion.

Nick Cannon & Alyssa Scott Welcome Daughter, His 12th Child

Congratulatory celebrations are being had by Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott. The couple has welcomed their newborn daughter into the world, and they’ve shared a portion of their journey. Both Cannon and Scott have been transparent about grieving the loss of their baby boy Zen. However, throughout 2022 there were rumors that Scott was expecting once again.

On Instagram, Scott shared the news of the birth of her and Cannon’s daughter, Halo Marie. Additionally, in a video, Scott shared moments from the delivery, and in the caption, she penned a sweet note.

“December 14 2022. Our lives are forever changed ❤ Zen is in every breath I take.” Scott also wrote, “I know his spirit was with us in the room that morning. I know he is watching down on us, he shows me signs everyday.”

She further continued, “I will hold onto this memory forever. I will remember the sound of Nicks voice saying ‘it’s a girl’ and the look of everything we’ve been through flash across his face. I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine.”

“My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon! 🤍

It was just about this time last year when Scott and Cannon endured the passing of their five-month-old son, Zen. The infant was diagnosed with several health issues and sadly succumbed to cancer.

This year, Cannon has welcomed several children with Bre Tiesi, Abby De La Rosa, LaNisha Cole, and Brittany Bell. Baby Halo reportedly marks the media mogul’s 12th child.

Nick Cannon Spent Christmas ‘Traveling All Night’ To See His 11 Children And Their Mothers, He Joked

Nick Cannon, in case you haven’t heard, has a lot of kids: 11, to be exact. He had those kids with six different women, so if he planned to get together with all of them for the holidays, Cannon was going to have to spend some serious time on the road to make it work. Well, there’s no word yet on how that panned out, but before Christmas, Cannon declared he planned to make it happen.

On December 23, Cannon (along with model Brittany Bell and two of their three children) visited Los Angeles Mission to serve holiday meals. There, a TMZ cameraperson caught up with Cannon and asked how he plans to divide his time among his kids this holiday season. He answered, “Me and Santa Claus do it together.” He later added, “I have the same vibe as Santa Claus: I’m traveling all night.”

This comes shortly after Akon showed his support for Cannon’s prolific fatherhood, saying, “I agree with him 1,000 percent. That’s how life is supposed to be. Why not? He’s rich. He’s responsible. He takes care of every one of those children. And the baby mothers are with it. And they hurt for nothing. And they live comfortably. […] He’s there for every one of them. He’s there for every single one of those kids. I got nine and I’m there for every one of mine.”

Akon Says He Supports Nick Cannon Having So Many Kids

Akon says that he fully supports Nick Cannon having almost a dozen children with different women. The “Locked Up” singer discussed the situation during a recent appearance on The Zeze Millz Show.

“I agree with him one-thousand percent,” Akon said. “That’s how life is supposed to be. Why not? He’s rich … He’s responsible. He takes care of every one of those children … And the baby mothers with it. And they hurt for nothing and they live comfortably!”

From there, Millz and Akon discussed the role of a father in their child’s life.

“So every single time, you’re at every single recital?” Millz asked the musician.

“No, that’s a white man’s thing. Who gives a f**k about a recital?” Akon responded. “No, seriously. Listen, my job is to raise my kids, to be responsible, to be understanding, to protect their mother, to give a hand with their father, and to assist with family planning, and to be responsible adults … Now guess what? While I’m taking care of my responsibility to make sure the family has a roof over their head and food, if I have the time to do that and show love, yes, I will do that. But my responsibility is to make sure they grow up responsible and strong.”

Speaking about spending time with his kids on Christmas, Nick Cannon recently admitted that he’ll be traveling “all over” to see his children for the holidays.

Nick Cannon isn’t the only celebrity that Akon has defended as of late. He also supported Kanye West, earlier this month.

Nick Cannon Says He’s “Traveling All Over” To See His Kids On Christmas

Nick Cannon says that he’s traveling “all over” to visit all 11 of his children for the holidays. Cannon addressed the difficulty he has spending time with all of his kids while speaking with TMZ. The outlet caught up to him while he was serving holiday meals as a volunteer at the Los Angeles Mission on Friday.

“Me and Santa Claus do it together,” he told a reporter. “I have the same vibe as Santa Claus, I’m traveling all over.”

At the L.A. Mission, Brittany Bell and two of her three children with Cannon were in attendance.

Cannon recently addressed the difficulties of spending time with so many kids, according to Today.

“Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” he said during a podcast interview. “One ’cause I’m constantly working and two because I’m just spread thin.”

With 11 kids already to take care of, Cannon has another on the way with Alyssa Scott. He recently discussed his children in an interview with Billboard News.

“My kids are definitely the creative force in all that I do,” the proud dad said. “They’re the funniest, most innovative, best questions…every project I’m working on now is through their eyes. That’s my number one priority obviously. I wake up being a father thinking about my kids and everything else comes after that.

“I don’t know, man, I have no idea,” he admitted when asked if he’ll have more kids, before adding, “I think I’m good right now.”

Akon Has Nine Kids And ‘1,000 Percent’ Supports Nick Cannon Fathering 11 Children

The spotlight has been on Nick Cannon when it comes to celebrities with a lot of children. He even joked about fathering 11 kids in a recent video. It turns out Akon has been flying under the radar this whole time, though, as he has nine kids himself. Furthermore, in a new interview, he said he has Cannon’s back when it comes to propagating as he does.

On The Zeze Millz Show, Akon said of Cannon (as Complex reports), “I agree with him 1,000 percent.

The host then asked, “So every single time, you’re at every single recital?” Akon responded, “No, that’s a white man’s thing. Who gives a f*ck about a recital? No, seriously. Listen, my job is to raise my kids, to be responsible, to be understanding, to protect their mother, to give a hand with their father, and to assist with family planning, and to be responsible adults. […] Now guess what? While I’m taking care of my responsibility to make sure the family has a roof over their head and food, if I have the time to do that and show love, yes, I will do that. But my responsibility is to make sure they grow up responsible and strong.”
