DeSean Jackson Says “F*ck The NFL” While Discussing His Post-Retirement Plans

DeSean Jackson may have made $91 million during his NFL career, but the recently retired veteran is far from done making stacks. “The hustler I am, I ain’t satisfied with the money I made in the NFL. I would meet you today, and you wouldn’t even think I made 100 plus million in NFL. Because guess what? That money right there, that’s going to make my future be cool for my kids. But right now, I still need bread, so I’m out here getting all type of stuff, going private equity, real estate. Sh-t, f-ck the NFL. That sh-t was cool, but what’s next? I’m trying to go touch some Magic Johnson-type sh-t,” Jackson told the No Jumper podcast.

Jackson recently signed a one-day contract with the Eagles to retire with the team. Jackson spent seven seasons in Philly, who drafted him in the second round of the 2008 Draft. Jackson’s career also saw him play in Washington, LA, Las Vegas, and Baltimore. However, Philly was the only place where he played more than two seasons.

Tyreek Hill Reveals His Post-Retirement Plan

However, Jackson isn’t the only one who intends on getting busy with non-football things after he retires. Earlier this year, Tyreek Hill revealed what he plans to do after he hangs up his cleats. “When I retire, bro, I really wanna be a porn star, bro. Like, dead serious,” Hill told Buccs wideout Mike Evans during a September livestream.

Hill has made no secret about his intentions to leave the league after the 2025 season. The star wideout will be 32 following Super Bowl 60 in February 2026, which will mark the end of the 2025 season. “I’m going for 10, man. I’m gonna finish out this contract with the Dolphins and then I’m gonna call it quits. I want to go into the business side. I want to do so many things in my life, bro,” Hill said in a radio interview earlier this year. Hill is putting up record numbers in his second year with the Dolphins. After proclaiming that he wants to be the first 2000-yard receiver in NFL history, he appears well on his way to that goal. Through 12 games, Hill already has 1481 yards and 12 touchdowns. That means he needs 519 yards across the Fins’ final five games to crack 2000. If he can maintain his pace of 123.4 yards a game, he will finish the season with around 2100 yards.

Aaron Rodgers Says “Anything’s Possible” With Jets Return

Aaron Rodgers argued that he could return earlier than Christmas Eve if his recovery continues to go well. “Anything is possible. It feels great to be on the practice field, but I’m not anywhere near ready to play,” Rodgers told reporters on Thursday. The veteran QB was cleared for limited practice on Wednesday, giving the Jets 21 days to activate him from injured reserve. Rodgers will wait until next week to try practicing on back-to-back days. Furthermore, Rodgers will turn 40 this weekend.

For the time being, Tim Boyle will remain the Jets starter. “Yeah, we’re giving Timmy another shot to roll next week. Obviously, there are things that he could’ve done better. There are things he had no control over, and I know he battled out there, and we were able to get to certain calls that we were hoping to do. We were able to execute a lot of the different things that we wanted to execute. It just didn’t come to full fruition,” head coach Robert Saleh told reporters.

Rodgers Return Dependent On Playoff Chances

However, Rodgers reiterated that his return depends on whether the Jets can still make the playoffs. “I don’t think that would make a ton of sense. A comeback this year before the four-month mark would mean I’m not 100 percent healthy, so it’d be a risk for myself. For the team to sign off on if we’re out of it, I’d be surprised if they would OK that to come back,” Rodgers noted. Per ESPN, the 4-7 Jets have a less than 1% chance to make the playoffs. While a loss to Atlanta on Sunday wouldn’t eliminate, it would put the team one loss away from elimination.

Furthermore, the Jets don’t have the easiest schedule before Rodgers’ preferred return. Their slate includes games against the surging Texans and the division-leading Dolphins. However, not everyone is a fan of Rodgers’ decision to try and return this season. Chad Johnson pleaded with him to focus on recovery. Meanwhile, Stephen A. Smith told the QB to “sit your a– at home.” Despite this, Rodgers appears set on at least entertaining the possibility of an unprecedented recovery.

Antonio Gates & Julius Peppers “Deserve” Hall Of Fame, Legendary Tight End Claims

Following the announcement that he is a Hall of Fame semifinalist, Antonio Gates has made a bold statement about how he feels about the decision. “I feel like, mentally. I belong in there,” Gates said. Furthermore, he also noted that fellow semifinalist Julius Peppers also deserved to join him in this year’s class. Additionally, Gates named Dwight Freeney, Andre Johnson, and Devin Hester as players who should get in.

Gates and company are some of the 25 names recently announced as the semifinal longlist for the upcoming Hall of Fame class. That list is due to be reduced to 15 next month before being reduced to just five. Each of those five men must then receive 80% of the votes from the Hall of Fame committee before they can join the Hall.

Who Are Antonio Gates & Julius Peppers?

Antonio Gates is one of the greatest tight ends in the history of the NFL. After playing at mid-major Kent State, Gates spent his entire 15-year NFL career with the Chargers. An eight-time Pro Bowler and four-time First-Team All-Pro, Gates racked up over 11,000 yards and over 100 touchdowns. What makes Gates even more impression is that he achieved all this without ever playing college football. While he did play at Kent State, he actually played basketball. He helped the Golden Flashes reach the Elite Eight in 2002 and was an All-American in 2003. His basketball jersey was retired in 2017, just the fourth jersey retirement in Kent State history.

Meanwhile, Julius Peppers was a defensive powerhouse. Drafted second overall in 2002 after a standout career at North Carolina. While, like Gates, he would never capture a Super Bowl ring, Peppers helped define the defensive end role in 2000s. A nine-time Pro Bowler, four-time First-Team All-Pro, and Defensive Rookie of the Year, few things were scarier to a quarterback than seeing Peppers on the edge. He spent time with the Panthers, Bears, and Packers. Since his retirement in 2018, he has been named to the Panthers Hall of Honor and as one of the “100 Greatest Bears of All Time”.

LeBron James Blasts NFL For Suspending Photographer Involved In Tyreek Hill Celebration

LeBron James has come to the defense of a photographer who was suspended by the NFL for participating in a Tyreek Hill celebration earlier this season. Kevin Fitzgibbons, a friend of Hill’s, had his NFL credentials revoked after Hill used his phone as part of a celebration against the Panthers. “Man, this is F’d UP!!! Suspended for the year and possibly for good!! C’mon NFL! Do better! Sh-t ain’t that serious,” LeBron wrote on Instagram.

Hill was penalized by the NFL for “using a prop” in his celebration. Meanwhile, as reported, Fitzgibbons had his credentials revoked for the rest of the season. The 20-year-old Fitzgibbons posted a mea culpa on TikTok this week, saying he understood and respected the NFL’s decision. Furthermore, he expressed hope that he would be allowed back on the sideline next season. Meanwhile, Hill simply wrote “I would comment, but I would get fined” on his X page.

LeBron Sings Jalen Hurts’ Praises

However, someone that LeBron did have positive things to say about was Eagles QB Jalen Hurts. “And it’s all love and respect right back to you Young [King]!!!” LeBron wrote in response to Hurts speaking at length about how much he admits the veteran Laker. Hurts addressed his admiration for LeBron after attending Lakers-Sixers earlier this week. “Just thought it’d be cool to go see him, and obviously I had the opportunity to meet him. I wanted him to shake my dad’s hand, too. That’s a guy that my dad has watched, being an older guy, watched him grow into the monumental figure he is now. It’s just all love and respect for him,” Hurts said at the Eagles media availability on Wednesday.

According to Hurts, the game earlier in the week was actually his first time watching LeBron in person. On the plus side, Hurts got to watch LeBron set the new NBA benchmark for career minutes played. However, Hurts was also in attendance for the worst loss of LeBron’s career, as the Lakers suffered a 44-point loss to the Sixers. LeBron had a team-high 18 points. Despite that, the Sixers drilled 22 threes. Furthermore, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey combined for 61 points. By comparison, the five Lakers starters combined for 65.

Ryan Shazier Accused Of Cheating As Wife Leaks His DMs

Former NFL player Ryan Shazier has been accused of infidelity by his wife after she released his text chains on social media. “A person that loves his family. This is what they do to their family. The WIFE that has been there for him since day 1!” Michelle Shazier wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post alongside multiple screenshots of Shazier’s purported messages. The conversation appears to be with a woman based in Columbus who Shazier describes, in the text messages, as a “lawyer and beat writer”. While the messages are merely friendly at first but quickly become sexual. In one screenshot, Shazier can be seen sending the woman books on anal sex and blowjobs. Shazier later reached out to TMZ, stating that he and Michelle had been separated for some time and requested privacy at this time.

Shazier was a two-time Pro Bowl linebacker for the Steelers in the mid-to-late 2010s. However, he took on a very different role within the NFL landscape in 2017. A head-on tackle against the Bengals left Shazier with a spinal contusion. It would take him over a year to regain the ability to jog unassisted again. However, the damage he sustained meant that he was never able to play again and he retired in 2020.

Antonio Brown Addresses Keke Palmer References

Another ex-NFLer in hot water over their raunchy messages this week is Antonio Brown. Brown has asked people not to “spin his words” after namedropping Keke Palmer in a series of raunchy tweets. “These all are rap lyrics. Please do not spin my words. Spin your money 💰. Ima Rappa,” Brown wrote a few hours after a collection of tweets went viral. The posts in question referred to running a woman “like the Olympics”, referring to the colloquial group sex of “running a train”. The one that got people in arms concerning Palmer read “I don’t drink Arnold PALMERS I sip Keke Palmer Ya dig”.

However, the former wide receiver did double down on his lust for Palmer. “I love @KekePalmer🤩. This is me creatively thinking of rap bars by the way is she Keke Single$.” Brown has been very active of late, seemingly trying to bait his former QB, Tom Brady. “I just f-ck Tom bihhhhh,” Antonio Brown wrote the day after Thanksgiving. It was part of a bizarre string of tweets in which Brown quoted Kanye and also claimed to have Alzheimer’s. Brady was reportedly instrumental in bringing Brown to the Buccaneers in 2020. However, Brown’s tenure only lasted a season and a half before his explosive exit from the team.

Mother Of Viral “Offensive” Chiefs Fan Defends Son’s Face Paint & Headdress

The mother of a young Chiefs fan who went viral for wearing a Native American headdress and painting half of his face black has spoken out about the criticism aimed at her son. “People are ridiculous. Everyone asked to take a photo with him. The players even loved it!” Shannon Armenta wrote on Meta, formerly Facebook, alongside several photos of her son. The Chiefs, who have done work in recent years to try and steer their fanbase away from harmful stereotypes of Indigenous Peoples, have not commented on the matter.

However, Elon Musk took to X, formerly Twitter, to take credit for fighting disinformation. Musk claimed X was responsible for helping fight “deception” in the story’s reporting. Several outlets had erroneously reported that the child was in blackface. This was due to a TV broadcast shot only showing the black-painted half of the child’s face.

Chiefs Improve To 8-3

Viral fan aside, the Chiefs were able to notch their eighth win of the year against the Raiders. Mahomes threw for nearly 300 yards and two touchdowns while Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce combined for nearly 200 receiving yards. However, the Raiders, behind rookie QB Aidan O’Connell, kept things close for three-quarters of the game. However, despite trailing by just four entering the fourth quarter, the Chiefs took over, scoring ten unanswered points to take a 31-17 win. It was the bounceback that was needed after KC fell to the Eagles on Monday Night Football the week before.

Furthermore, Taylor Swift was spotted back in Kansas City for the first time in over a month. She was seen linking up with Travis Kelce after the conclusion of her tour stops in South America. However, Swift was not in attendance at the Raiders game, which was played in Vegas. Despite this, perhaps Swift will make her NFL return when the Chiefs return home for a game against the Bills on December 10. This week, the Chiefs travel to Wisconsin to take on Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers.

T.I. Still Performs After Nasty King Harris Fight At The Atlanta Falcons Game

T.I. had a bit of a rough Thanksgiving weekend. He and his family attended the Atlanta Falcons game in Georgia against their NFC South rival, the New Orleans Saints. It was a nail-bitter with both middling teams fighting to the end to claim first place in the division. The Falcons went on to win, but it came with a price. The trap legend’s son, King Harris, painted himself in a negative light.

It all went down when the 19-year-old son went on Instagram Live. Harris mentioned how he used to go to his grandmother’s due to some fighting. Right after he said that his mother, Tiny, snatched the phone and gave the real reason as to why Harris went there often. Things began to escalate from there. T.I.’s son called out someone, saying, “What’s wrong with y’all? Why ya’ll doing that to me? Y’all know me, you know I stand on business. Why would you let someone play with me like that?” T.I. finally had enough and said that he was embarrassing the family.

To say it was not a pretty moment is an understatement. However, even with all of that the rap legend still had to give the fans a show. In fact, he did just that. To be honest, if he did not, it would really send people into a frenzy if he did not perform after a family spat. Luckily, he still put a lot of energy in for the amped crowd. You check out the performance above from The Neighborhood Talk.

What are your initial thoughts on T.I. still performing at the Atlanta Falcons game after the fight with his son, King Harris, and his family? If he did not go on with the show, would that have been a bad look for him? Was Harris out of line with his comments, or does he have a point that he is a grown man? Dolly Parton Praised And Jack Harlow Roasted For NFL Halftime Shows

Dolly Parton and Jack Harlow became a tale of two halftime shows as each performed at one of the NFL’s Thanksgiving games. Harlow kicked off the day with a low-key four-song performance in front of a small igloo during the Packers’ blowout of the Lions. Meanwhile, Parton dressed like a Cowboys cheerleader and covered Queen as Dallas decimated the Commanders. However, as soon as Parton’s Super Bowl-esque show began, people turned to roasting Harlow.

Firstly, no one quite understood the whole igloo thing for Harlow. It would make more sense at the icy Lambeau Field. However, Harlow was performing at the indoor, climate-controlled Ford Field while it was 50 degrees outside in Detroit. Furthermore, there was little to no production value as Harlow performed in front of what one Twitter used called “a set borrowed from a local middle school production of Frozen“.

Dolly Parton Eats, Jack Harlow Burns The Turkey

As mentioned, Parton put on a feast to rival any dinner table in America. Dressed in the iconic Cowboys cheerleader uniform, Dolly Did Dallas. She opened with two of her most-beloved classics – “Jolene” and “9 To 5”. However, she then stunned the crowd by pulling out amazing covers of Queen’s “We Are The Champions” and “We Will Rock You”. We would have loved to have seen Dolly hit “Don’t Stop Me Now” but she still killed both songs.

However, both acts performed at blowout Thanksgiving matchups. The Packers were up 23-6 when Harlow took the stage in Detroit. While Detroit had something of a come back in the second half, they couldn’t do enough to erase the deficit and lost 29-22. Meanwhile, things were even more lopsided in Dallas. The Cowboys dropped 45 points on the Commanders, improving to 8-3 on the season and staying undefeated at home. Elsewhere, Steve Aoki put on a well-received performance during halftime of the late-night game on the West Coast. CMC and the Niners made easy work of the Seahawks to further secure their hold on their division.
