Kendrick Lamar Reportedly Adds “Euphoria” To Grammys 2025 Consideration List

It seems like Kendrick Lamar submitted more songs for the Grammys next year than we initially thought. For those unaware, he submitted “Not Like Us” and his Future and Metro Boomin collab “Like That” for Record/Song of the Year, Best Rap Song/Performance, plus Best Music Video just for the former. However, according to frequent K.Dot producer Sounwave, it seems like “Euphoria” is also up for consideration at the 2025 Grammy Awards. His Instagram post indicating this didn’t specify what categories it was for, but we can assume that it was probably for the same ones as the other two tracks.

Of course, this move wasn’t without its fair share of controversy, whether due to the Grammys’ track record with hip-hop or that one Drake like on “Family Matters.” But we also doubt that Kendrick Lamar would be getting this much flack if that battle didn’t happen, as plenty of rap artists didn’t get that same criticism for submitting their work for Grammys consideration this year. It’s kind of similar to what happened with the Super Bowl halftime show, at least partially.

However, there were some other interesting updates regarding “Like That” in particular recently. Barry White’s estate recently filed a copyright lawsuit against the song, but it’s for the sample that Metro Boomin used for the beat. That sample is what allegedly infringed on White’s copyright, so Future, Kendrick Lamar, the St. Louis producer, and their labels aren’t codefendants in the case… yet. Prosecutors did state that they left the door open to direct action against them if the supposed indemnification provided to them from the original White samplers is insufficient in the court’s eyes.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar fans recently got a chance to look back at an alternate visual take on Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. The photographer for the album’s cover art recently revealed some outtakes with his family for the cover shoot in which he holds his son Enoch and a shotgun in different pictures. We wonder what else is in the Compton lyricist’s vault. But we’ll see if his offerings this year as part of the Drake battle get some Grammy love.

The Diddy scandal has spread like wildfire online, and while there’s a lot to parse through, these are still all just allegations at the end of the day. Moreover, we’ll see what happens with his federal case for alleged sex trafficking and whether any of these allegations are involved in some way. Nevertheless, one of the big stories floating around right now concerns an alleged sex tape featuring Sean Combs and an A-list male celebrity. Attorney Ariel Mitchell-Kidd, a representative for various alleged sexual assault victims of his, recently claimed that a bidding war began over this alleged sex tape. She thinks it might go public soon (if it exists) unless the other celebrity buys it for a “catch and kill.”

“I received the New York Post article from the person who contacted me to sell the tape,” Mitchell-Kidd told News Nation about the piece claiming that the celebrity in the alleged Diddy sex tape is “horrified” about its sale. “I was not shocked by what I read in the article. The person who has the tape really doesn’t want to shop it around. They really want to help and wanted to directly sell it to that person, but it seems as if they are going elsewhere.

“I really do feel bad about the person,” Diddy’s accusers’ lawyer continued. “Part of the reason I did come and say something […] I wanted to sound the alarm to that person that maybe they should do something about it. If I was them, I would do something about this. The only way to do anything is to do the catch and kill. That’s the only way it won’t come out.

“From what I’m hearing, I think [someone will leak the alleged tape soon],” Mitchell-Kidd added to the outlet. “I’m hearing whispers there is at least one major network, possibly two, in a bidding war for that purchase. Unless that person comes forward and purchases the video themselves, which is really the goal of the people who have the video, at this point, if that person doesn’t want to purchase it, it’s going to go on the open market.”

Donald Trump brought out Elon Musk at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, the same site where he survived an assassination attempt back in July. While on stage, Musk discussed his support of the former president, his opinion on voter I.D. laws, and much more.

The pictures show him and the kids on various rides, checking out the gift shop, posing with Mickey Mouse, and more.

When The Shade Room shared a compilation of the pictures, fans accused the singer of using his kids for a public relations opportunity. “It’s crazy that these celebrities hire photographers to walk around the park with them and their kids…” one user posted. Another wrote: “With everything that’s coming out about him sounds like the right thing to do…” Others had more wholesome responses while many of his fans came to his defense amid the allegations. One fan wrote: “People need to wait before accusing usher of anything, beiber has consistently shown love for usher, most recent being after the Super Bowl, right I don’t believe he did anything wrong.”

While Usher is in no way connected to Diddy’s recent arrest on charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering, fans thought he was trying to distance himself from the Bad Boy mogul, last month, after all of his social media posts were taken down. “Account got hacked and damn y’all ran with it! It’s far from the first time Method Man has shared his love for Snoop Dogg. Cardi B fired back at ATL Jacob in a comment on Instagram, earlier this week, accusing him of talking “slick” about her in an interview with The Baller Alert Show. In a clip of the interview, Jacob claims that he never intended to disrespect the Invasion of Privacy rapper on social media. Cardi had misinterpreted a tweet he posted as being directed at her.

“This is third time he said some slick sh*t about me ….My babydad had to press him bout it before Now he wanna act dumb cause I DIRECTLY addressed him. Lame ass why shade me in the first place if you ain’t aoina to stand on,” Cardi wrote in her latest comment. As for what Jacob had to say during the interview, he explained: “I never shaded her. I didn’t even know there was drama going on when I tweeted. It was just a misunderstanding, and I respect Cardi and Offset too much to go back and forth.” He concluded: “As a man, I don’t go back and forth with women. It was all just confusion.”
