Rihanna Stars In New Dior Perfume Ad: Watch

Rihanna has teamed up with Dior to become the newest face of J’Adore. In doing so, she shared her first advertisement with the brand on social media on Sunday. In the commercial, she poses in the iconic Mirror Of Halls in Versailles. The piece was shot by her long-time friend, Steven Klein. “Your dreams… make them real,” she says in the ad as well as her caption to the post.

Rihanna discussed the collaboration with ELLE UK for an interview published on Sunday as well. “I always enjoy working with Steven. Even with all he’s accomplished, he still has such a genuine, pure, child-like passion for his art,’ she told the outlet. ‘It’s such a joy to work with artists like him! And full circle to be back at Versailles for Dior with Steven Klein! Dream team baby!” She also discussed her love for the brand as a whole. “I have always loved this perfume. My mother worked in a perfume shop and she used to bring home the testers when they were almost empty. There was always a bottle of J’Adore in the house,” she revealed.

Pras’ Fails To Earn Retrial In Political Conspiracy Case After AI Scandal

Pras Michel’s attempt to get a retrial due to his lawyer’s actions during his political conspiracy case was unsuccessful. U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly decided that his defense attorney using generative AI for his closing arguments wasn’t enough to warrant a serious miscarriage of justice. The AI program notably attributed lyrics from Diddy’s song, “I’ll Be Missing You,” to Michel, among other errors. Despite this, Kollar-Kotelly didn’t feel the mistakes were enough to impact the jury’s ruling.

“Michel does not explain how this mistake—the mistaken attribution of a Puff Daddy song in the closing argument—resulted in prejudice. Specifically, Michel has not shown that there is a reasonable probability that the result of his trial would have differed had Kenner correctly attributed a lyric to him,” Kollar-Kotelly said, as caught by AllHipHop. “Notably, the content derived from the AI program did not relate to any evidence in the case, only general sympathetic statements and one lyrical quote.”

The jury in the trial found Michel guilty on a total of 10 counts. They include conspiracy and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government. The prosecution accused him of funneling money from Malaysian financer Jho Low into influencing various United States government actions. He allegedly pumped money into Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign as well as influencing an extradition case on behalf of China during Donald Trump’s presidency.

First up is the new project from Kehlani, following up her previous album this year with the anticipatory and vibe-filled While We Wait 2. If you’re looking for a particular highlight from this new record to get you started, we’d recommend “When He’s Not There” featuring Lucky Daye. Elsewhere, we also wanted to highlight the newest single from one of this year’s breakout stars: Tommy Richman’s “THOUGHT YOU WERE THE ONE.” It’s a more melancholy and dramatic take on the formula that shot him up into superstardom on “MILLION DOLLAR BABY.”

Also on our R&B Season playlist update is the new single from Victoria Monét and Usher, “SOS (Sex On Sight).” If you’re in the need of more ’90s or 2000s-style R&B jams, then this classic and soulful take is exactly up your alley. However, there are plenty of other artists that could be characterized with this genre that aren’t only fusing it with many other sounds, but aren’t always making R&B in any way.
