4batz Gets Freaky On “Act VI: Mad Man”

Ever since 4batz popped up out of nowhere earlier this year, the 20-year-old phenom has become quite the controversial figure. He has been quickly labeled as an industry plant ever since his “act ii: date @ 8” was pushed on social media. Ever since music listeners thrust this designation at him, he has embraced it with open arms. He told GQ,” “I think it’s kind of cool, It’s like I’m the boogeyman. People are going to meet me and be like, Oh, this is a regular hood n****.”

Kanye West, who hopped on a remix of “act iii,” even told him that more and more people are going to pile on him going forward. “‘Get used to it, because you here now. People are going to look at you like a walking ATM, but you’re going to see through that. You know what I’m saying? Because you a star.’” We feel 4batz is well on his way to that new title, especially with tracks like “act vi: mad man.”

Rome Streetz Wants You To Get The Memo On “Ya Understand”

If you are looking to add some new hardcore hip-hop tracks into your daily rotation, look no further than the new Rome Streetz tape. The London-bred and New York City-raised lyrical mastermind dropped by a new short project with the help of a talented friend. Producer Wavy Da Ghawd, who hails from the neighboring city of Brooklyn, laid down some fire beats for his wingman to body. Another track from Buck 50 that we have been gravitating toward has been “Ya Understand.”

The consistent rapper lives up to that title on this track, as Streetz sticks to the themes of brags and violence that are all over the six-song EP. “I’m him ya understand? / All them bums in last place, so get behind them, ya understand? / Do the knowledge first, get some wisdom, than ya understand,” Rome raps on the short chorus. It’s bluntness, on top of the fact that it is only performed once, is why this track is so great.

It really embodies the idea of getting his message across and not repeating it a bunch. Rome’s supreme confidence does not need to be overstated, hence the short run time of the song and also his cadence. When you are rapping bars like these, you better be rapping with utmost purpose, and he does that. “The grand champ stomping on the skull of these amateurs / You ants to us anything that got my stamp is cancerous / I crush every member of your clan in my hand of dust with no rush.” Talk about a mic drop.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song “Ya Understand” by Rome Streetz and Wavy Da Ghawd? Where does this track rank amongst the rest of the records on the project? Is this one of the best EPs of 2024 so far, why or why not? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. None of these broads whore get your claws off my cake

YG Called Out By Bricc Baby Over The Quality Of His New Song

Last month, YG released his new single “KNOCKA.” It’s technically his second new song of 2024 after collaborating with Stunna Girl on the single “Stand Up” back in January. They’re following up his collaborative Playlist/Album Hit Me When U Leave The Klub with Tyga, which dropped last year. They were originally intended to go on a tour that also included Saweetie in support of the project but it was eventually canceled before it could get under way.

Despite some love for his new music from fans and critics, not everyone is enjoying it. In a new video shared to his Instagram story Bricc Baby calls out YG. He claims that the west coast star needs to step his bars up. He also claims that there are plenty of other smaller rappers in California trying to make a name for themselves that are making better material right now. In the comments, fans point out that the “FDT” rapper has often claimed that his music is much more about hard-hitting beats and party vibes than lyrical details. Check out Bricc Baby’s video and the variety of fan reactions to it below.

Bricc Baby Criticizes YG’s New Single “KNOCKA”

Dating back to last year, YG has found himself in a bit of an on-again-off-again relationship with Saweetie. The pair have collaborated a few times on record before and started hitting the town together regularly last year. But it didn’t seem to last as they officially announced a break-up earlier this year. Though not long after that the pair were suddenly being spotted together again and shared a surprisingly intimate moment on stage during Rolling Loud Los Angeles. A few weeks later they went Twitter official with their rekindled relationship.

What do you think of Bricc Baby’s video calling out YG for his new single not having very compelling bars? Do you agree with him that there are better California rappers who fans could be paying attention to? Let us know in the comment section below.

Ice Spice Shares Trailer For New Song And Video

Ice Spice’s debut album Y2K is dropping later this year. It’s the follow-up her breakthrough project, last year’s Like..? EP. She’s already begun dropping singles from the project, starting with “Think U The Sh*t” earlier this year. In addition to the singles she’s also shared a bunch of information and updates on the progress she’s making on the album. That’s led fans to suspect that the project is arriving sooner rather than later. Last month, Spice announced that the record’s next single is on the way.

The record’s second single is called “Gimmie A Light” and Spice has been teasing it quite a bit. Earlier today, she was spotted around NYC with a group of bright pink range rovers. In tandem with that tease she released a preview of the song’s music video which will also presumably drop Friday. In the brief clip she’s seen sporting her iconic hair in both its long and short looks while enjoying herself in, unsurprisingly, a pink range rover. Check out the full teaser she shared below.

Ice Spice’s New Single Teaser

Last month Ice Spice teamed up with Cash Cobain for a remix of his viral TikTok hit “Fisherrr.” They shot a video for the song where the pair take over a NYC Chinese food restaurant. The visuals feature some hilariously timed shots of delicious looking food. That’s the only other single she’s been involved with in 2024 so far though she did drop a song last year.

Fresh off of his smash hit “Calm Down” with Selena Gomez, Rema collaborated with Ice Spice on her song “Pretty Girl.” It’s unclear if “Pretty Girl” was ever intended to ultimately land on Spice’s debut album Y2K. The record still doesn’t have an official release date which is causing some fans to get impatient. What do you think of the teaser Ice Spice shared of her new single “Gimmie A Light?” Are you looking forward to the release of her debut album Y2K later this year? Let us know in the comment section below.

Rome Streetz Is Strictly Business On “Runnin It Up”

Rome Streetz has always been an impressive performer and lyricist over his eight-year career. That has especially been the case for the multi-cultural veteran over the last year or so. From features, to singles, and now three projects, he has really been showing out and displaying why he is a respected face in the underground. On his newest outing Buck 50, Rome Streetz put on some dynamic performances, including on the track “Runnin It Up.”

This song and project were released over this past weekend. It was a collaborative effort with producer Wavy Da Ghawd that spanned six tracks at a scant 13:14 run time. Across it, Rome is definitely prioritizing all killer and no filler and “Runnin It Up” is a prime example of that. On this cut, the London-born MC is boasting and being at the top of the game.

Running it up, you just running your mouth (Stupid) / Only thing to talk about is the money amount (Money) / That’s really it, I been had the whole world in my fist (Uh-huh).” Rome’s presence also makes his bold claims believable, and that is always an important thing to consider when listening a song like this. On top of just being a lean, mean, rapping machine, Rome also works in some unintentionally funny bars. “The Wonder Woman trying to come and f*** (Yah),” is the one that really got us. All in all, he is rapping his a** off and we recommend you check this out immediately.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song “” by 4batz? Where does this track rank amongst the rest of the records on the project? Has he won you over with u made me a st4r, why or why not? Quotable Lyrics:

Plenty peers here in this rap sphere, but they all suck (These n****s trash!)

Lately I’ve been running it up globally, getting bucks (Uh-huh)
Got a wanderlust, a one on one like Mr. Wonderful
The Wonder Woman trying to come and f*** (Yah)
Your album cover get blunt ashes, dust to dust

Slum Village, Earlly Mac, & Cordae Are “So Superb” Together

Detroit rap group Slum Village deserves a lot of credit for still going strong all these later. We say this because after 9 long years without a new album, they have made quite a triumphant return. This past weekend, they came through with an exhilarating fusion of jazz, disco, and rap called F.U.N. Of course, the late great J Dilla is not around for this incredible release, but just know that he would be thrilled to be a part of this. T3 and rapper/producer Young RJ did an incredible job with this offering, and it is going to remain in rotation throughout the year for us.

In the press release, T3 explained where the inspiration for this project stemmed from. “[It] began with collecting old Disco records.” Additionally, RJ felt like some sort of reset was in order. “[We] wanted to just try something new, so we focused on making Disco-inspired music.” One of the songs that we feel capitalized on that very well is “So Superb.”

For this cut, Slum Village worked with two of their many collaborators for this tape, Cordae and Earlly Mac. Everyone involved here is flowing with purpose and the instrumental is extremely potent to the ears. The jingly elements paired with drums puts you in the happiest of moods. Be sure to check out the track with the link above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song “So Superb” by Slum Village, Earlly Mac, and Cordae? Where do you rank this record amongst the rest of them and why? 4batz Pours His Heart Out To An Empty Soul On “Act VIII”

Dallas, Texas singer 4batz has quickly become a blip on a lot of people’s radars over the last few months. However, he is looking to leave a lasting impact on the R&B genre with his unique tenor voice and sticky writing. Of course, a lot of listeners first heard of him due to the overnight sensation that was “act ii: date @ 8.” While some of the lyrics are a bit lackluster, the track shines because of its melody and production.

So far, those are the two departments that 4batz is thriving in. They are certainly great places to start, and he is only going to improve as a writer with each release. All of that potential is why we feel he can become an even bigger force in the near future. Besides “act ii,” “act viii: i hate to be alone,” is another track that puts his best skills at the forefront.

Listen To “Act VIII: I Hate To Be Alone” By 4batz

We can see 4batz singing this heartbreaking ballad in a smoky room with one spotlight on him with some background vocalists. The instrumental feels like it was plucked right out the 80s, with how glitzy and watery it sounds. Additionally, we can appreciate the vulnerable and distraught performance that 4batz gives. In our opinion, the deep cuts go just as hard as the hits, and this one is a major bright spot for us.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song “” by 4batz? Where does this track rank amongst the rest of the records on the project? Has he won you over with u made me a st4r, why or why not? Sukihana Gets Real Graphic As She Fires Back At JT With “COCAINE” Diss Track

She ate crab legs, now her whole tooth missing / Cheap a** veneers, you stay talking s*** / Put a marker to this b****, she’s so counterfeit.” Those were the bars up for debate on “Okay,” which is the latest single from Florida femcee, JT. There was belief that it was either a shot at Cardi B, or Delaware’s Sukihana. It turns it was not a diss at either artist, as JT recently cleared up the speculation. However, it was not handled in the way that you might think. “Sukihana You KNEW I wasn’t talking about YOU I would’ve answered quicker if you didn’t try to do a 2 for 1 special,” JT wrote on X on May 3. “I never knew your tooth fell out from eating crab legs you go viral for stupid s*** Daily.”

The posts got more severe, as JT was really upset at Sukihana for not reaching out to her directly to clear the air. The City Girls running mate also was of the belief that Suki was handling it in this way so she could get some attention. In her final message, JT laid down the hammer. “Search my page I been supporting you never had an issue with you so why would I enter a booth & think of YOU? sewer p**sy???!” That last blow might have set Sukihana over the edge, as now she is taking direct shots at her new foe on “COCAINE.”

Listen To “COCAINE” By Sukihana

On the incredibly nasty track, she reveals to the listener that JT allegedly is bad at pleasing her man (Lil Uzi Vert). So much so that Suki feels that is why Uzi wants to get with Ice Spice or herself. “Cockeyed nipple deformed armadillo looking mothaf***a / Thinking i dont know your n****, b****, your n**** wanna eat this sewer pussy right through my pants h*e.” Oh yeah, there are also tons of bars about JT’s looks as well, those are just a sample. Also, if you are wondering why it is called “COCAINE,” it is because of these X posts. “Y’all pray for me nothing wrong it’s just Jt lips use to be so white. She pretty then a mufuka but she be doing cocainnnn.” This beef has certainly reached new heights.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single and diss track, “COCAINE,” by Sukihana? Do you think we have another back-and-forth beef brewing, why or why not? How should JT go about this? Is this one of the wildest diss tracks of the year so far? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Underground Largo, Maryland rapper Q Da Fool may be cooking up something big right now after dropping “Hey Auntie.” This is the 27-year-old’s second single of 2024 so far, as it follows up his Valentine’s Day release “Wanna Be Down.” Overall, the demand for Q Da Fool has been quite limited over the past year or so in terms of features. Next to follow was Home Detention, which saw him grab features from Skilla Baby and Alexcis. Finally, Q Da Fool would cap off last year during the holiday season with Art of Ambition.
