Kevin Gates Isn’t Holding Anything Back On “I Don’t Apologize”

Kevin Gates is well known by many for some of the strange headlines that have followed him throughout his career. Last year, he dropped his third studio album Khaza. The hour-long album had just one feature, Juicy J, but went on to commercial success regardless. It debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200, marking his third straight studio album to make its debut in the top 10. In that span, he also has two other mixtapes, By Any Means 2 and Luca Brasi 3, debut inside the top 10. Earlier this year Gates released a new mixtape called The Luca Brasi Story (A Decade of Brasi). That project included features from Terrence Hines, Percy Keith, Curren$y, and Master P.

On his new song, “I Don’t Apologize” Gates is once again an open book. The track sees him reminiscing on his past and his come up in pretty explicit detail. The song follows many of the hardships of his journey including things he was forced to do and people who aren’t around anymore. But it ends with a pretty triumphant conclusion. Gates succeeds in making it to where he always wanted to be and refuses to apologize for anything that happened along the way. The track features a booming trap beat over which Kevin Gates tells fans a number of detailed stories. You can check out the song’s official music video below.

Kevin Gates Won’t Apologize For His Success

Earlier this year Kevin Gates appeared on NLE Choppa’s new album Cottonwood 2. The project also featured other high-profile guests like Lil Wayne, Fivio Foreign, G Herbo, and Rick Ross. The deluxe edition added even more big guest verses from Fridayy and Sexyy Red.

Gates has also dropped plenty of singles of his own. He teamed up all the way back in March with TI for a new track called “Active.” His most recent release was the more somber “Do It Again” back in May. What do you think of Kevin Gates’ new song? Let us know in the comment section below.

Eminem Takes Aim At The Game In New Ez Mil Song “Realest”

Ez Mil dropped a new track recently featuring Eminem, “Realest.” Eminem took the opportunity to diss various musicians that have hated on him in the past, including Melle Mel, Lord Jamar, and of course, The Game. The Game took some shots at Eminem on his 2022 album, Drillmatic Heart vs. Mind. “I never heard you in a club, I never heard you in a bar / Eleven albums and ten never got played inside of my car,” he raps on his 10-minute diss track “The Black Slim Shady.”

It’s clear that Eminem has come back with a vengeance on his latest feature, responding directly to The Game’s diss. “All the envious rappers I’d torch if I’m on a joint with ’em / And that is the only retort is I’m not played in the clubs muthaf*cka put a cork in it / Only reason they still play your sh*t in the clubs / (Why?) is ’cause you still perform in ’em,” he raps.

Eminem Says The Game Still Performs In Clubs

Ez Mil just recently signed to Shady Records, as well as Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records. The 25-year-old was the first to sign to all three since 50 Cent did it in 2002. Obviously, a collab with Eminem is huge, especially for an up and coming artist. In press release last month, Eminem revealed why he had his eye on Ez Mil in the first place.

We’ve never been out there signing a lot of artists, and one of the great things about how we built Shady is how selective we’ve been,” he explained. “And it’s even rarer that Dre and I sign something together.” He continued, “but I heard Ez’s music and was like, ‘this is really special’ so I took it to Dre. We both agreed it would be a great fit and we wanted to work with him right on the spot.” Dr. Dre also went on to praise the artist, saying “Em played me Ez and I had that feeling.”

KayCyy Delivers Hypnotic Vocals On New Track “My Jeans”

KayCyy is an artist who has been buzzing for a minute now. However, it was Kanye West’s DONDA that truly put him on the map. His vocals on “Keep My Spirit Alive” remain one of the best parts of the entire album. Moreover, he acted as an insider as he was present for many of the conversations leading up to the album’s release. More recently, KayCyy was a featured voice on Travis Scott’s Utopia.

Unfortunately, KayCyy didn’t get his proper credit. Once Travis made the features public, he didn’t add KayCyy to the song “Thank God.” Of course, the artist was not happy about this, and voiced his displeasure on social media. Furthermore, he revealed some cover art that says “I’m Not No Background Singer.” Fans immediatey figured this song would be a Travis Scott diss. Instead, it is a track called “My Jeans” that KayCyy had been waiting to drop for some time now.

Ciara And Chris Brown Party Together On “How We Roll”

Two of the best R&B voices join forces once more on a new single. Ciara and Chris Brown have dropped their track “How We Roll,” and this is one that has been mentioned to us before. In April, Brown shared with his Instagram followers that he had some heat coming with Ciara and it is finally here. These two collaborated in 2009 with “Turntables” on Ciara’s album Fantasy Ride.

In the music video below, both crooners show off their dancing expertise as both of the parties they speak about in the music video, come together. They share a dance toward the end and it certainly had to have been a fun time shooting it. Both are singing, in harmony at times, about getting ready to get down and dirty with their partner. Furthermore, they express that it is their love and that they should not care about how other people view their relationship.

Stirring Up Controversy

As most music fans and people around the world know, Chris Brown has a troubling past that still comes up. For example, he was supposed to perform at the AMA last year during the Michael Jackson Tribute. But, it can be assumed that it was due to the situation surrounding Rihanna. Couple that with Jackson’s situation he was involved with, and it most likely was not the best choice for the producers to have that happen. Twitter users were certainly not afraid to sound off on Ciara making music with Brown again saying, “Ewww, why is Ciara platforming Chr*s Br*wn knowing he’s an abuser?”

What are your overall thoughts on the song? Do you think that Ciara should not work with Chris Brown based on other fans’ reactions? Make sure to tell us what you think in the comments section below. As always, stay tuned into HNHH for all the news around music and new songs.

Quotable Lyrics:

JT Throws It Back To New Kali Uchis Collab In Sensual New Clip

JT, Kali Uchis, and El Alfa recently teamed up for a new song, “Muñekita,” and it’s exactly the reggaetón-heavy banger that such a collab suggests. What’s more is that its infectious rhythm and charismatic performances clearly inspire something in the City Girl’s hips- and so many others. Moreover, she recently uploaded a video on social media of her dancing along to one of the track’s slower “dembow” moments. In the clip, the Florida MC moves her hips slowly and sensually to the rhythm, leaving a lot of impressed fans in the comments, albeit some critics, too. “We can’t be listening to the same song she’s moving to,” one user jokingly wrote under the clip.

No matter what you think of those moves, you can’t deny that this is the kind of track that you don’t really care how you look when you dance to it. Furthermore, its different tempo switches and pitch-shifting plucks keep the energy on high all throughout. In addition, it’s just great for fans of hip-hop and Latin music alike to have another crossover banger in the repertoire. In one way or another, a lot of people who listened to this song discovered at least one new artist that will surely become part of their rotation.

JT Shaking Hips To “Muñekita”

While JT came through with a short verse, she still filled her contribution with a lot of bombast and confidence. In fact, she even drops some bars in Spanish, showing that she can hold her own in either context with ease. Also, there’s currently a lot of City Girls hype right now, since they’re back to releasing new music quite prolifically. They’ve even pursued their own careers in the meantime, with the 30-year-old releasing the single “No Bars.”

Meanwhile, with all that new music to consider, we’re sure that City Girls, Kali, and many more have plenty to soundtrack their dances with. It had actually been a long time since we got a crossover hit like this. Let’s just see how her dance moves evolve as she gets deeper and deeper into reggaetón. Cordae Is Confused On “Make Up Your Mind”

Cordae has been on a tear as of late with his recent singles. “Doomsday,” a song to appear on Lyrical Lemonade’s debut album, saw him and the late great, Juice WRLD, trade bars over Eminem’s “Role Model.” He also teamed up with the jack-of-all-trades, Anderson .Paak on “Two Tens.” The J. Cole-produced track contains catchy flows and a smooth and simple head-bobbing-beat. So, it is only right for Cordae to keep up the moment and release more heat for the fans.

However, this new song “Make Up Your Mind,” goes in an unexpected direction. Cordae is known for bodying boom-bap and trap beats, but this groove wants to get you funky on the dance floor. It’s definitely a change of pace for someone who always brings bars and hard-hitting verses. Any time an artist goes 180 degrees with their sound it can leave fans divided, but this song has a undeniable vibe.

’80s Disco Fun

This new cut from Cordae has him making clever comparisons, while simultaneously poking fun at why some girls can never make up their minds. It has an earworm of a pre-chorus: “I said, she love me (Love me) She love me not
But she don’t got not damn clue about what she wants.” The “Love Me” background vocals are shouted out in a way, referencing ’80s disco and it gives tons of personality to the track. In the quotable lyrics, he makes a fun reference to his significant other, Naomi Osaka, who’s parents are Haitian and Japanese, even though the line mentions that her mom is Korean.

It’s a different style for Cordae and his fanbase so we want to know, how are you feeling about this track? Do you want to see him tackle different genres? Tell us all of your thoughts and opinions down in the comments section. Stay tuned into HNHH for all the newest and hottest songs every weekend.

Eminem Disses Melle Mel On Ez Mil Track “Realest”

Eminem is easily one of the greatest rappers of all time. However, his artistry has oftentimes been questioned over the past few years. Consequently, he has tried to respond in the only way he knows how: through bars. Someone who has been fairly critical of him as of late is none other than Melle Mel. The legend was not super complimentary of Em, and it is clear that he took notice. We know this as Em has issued a formal response on Ez Mil’s new track “Realest” which dropped today.

For those who may not know, Ez Mil is a 25-year-old MC who was recently signed by Eminem and Dr. Dre. There is a lot of hype surrounding him right now, and getting Em to feature on his song is a massive look. Moreover, he says that this has turned him into a “juicehead” whose brain is “half destroyed.”

Doja Cat is someone who has been looking to reinvent their sound. Although she has had a lot of success in the pop space, it is clear she no longer wants to operate there. Recently, she said that her commercial music wasn’t good and that her fans were fools for enjoying it. Of course, this led to quite a bit of criticism. Many felt like it was odd for her to be so rude to her fans like that. Additionally, she did it again by telling a fan that she refuses to say that she loves them. Needless to say, not great PR for Doja.

That said, Doja Cat is still releasing new music and is gearing up for a new album. Her latest song was called “Attention” and it was an effort that showed off her skills as an MC. Doja Cat Has Returned

Overall, this is a braggadocios track that sees Doja delivering some sinister bars. The entire concept of painting the town red feels like a metaphor for Doja murdering all of the other artists in the game right now. Based on her recent actions, it is clear that she doesn’t care whom she offends. This song’s lyrics seem to cement that notion. All-in-all, she is putting the music world on notice, and it will be interesting to see where she decides to go from here.
