Shaq, AKA Diesel, Drops New EDM Album “Gorilla Warfare”

In addition to being one of the most beloved NBA legends ever, Shaq is also a DJ. For those who may not know, he goes by the DJ name Diesel. Overall, this is an appropriate name as it plays off the whole “Diesel” nickname he had while in the league. Although he may have started his music journey as a rapper, he has done a nice job transitioning over to the EDM world. His sets are chaotic and fans always seek them out. If you see Diesel at an EDM festival, you know it is going to be a very fun time.

Usher Drops “Good Good” Visual Ft. Summer Walker & 21 Savage

Usher makes it clear that age is just a number, and at 44-years-old, he’s smoother than ever. The Grammy-Award-winning singer has just dropped off the music video for one of his latest tracks, “Good Good.” Usher enlisted the talents of fellow Atlanta musicians 21 Savage and Summer Walker to assist. Using the city as his backdrop displays his sensual side and proves he can still bust a move. At one point, the singer is joined by two other versions of himself to demonstrate his vocal range as if he were in a trio. Prior to this, Usher released his music video for another single, “Boyfriend.”

The video caused a stir of controversy online partly due to Keke Palmer’s appearance. A few weeks back, the Nope actress found herself in hot water after a clip surfaced online of her attending Usher’s residency show in Las Vegas. In it, she is spotted getting pretty cozy with the singer and donning a slinky, sheer dress. After it made its rounds on social media, Darius Jackson, Palmer’s ex-boyfriend and child’s father, publicly criticized her. Many agreed that the actress “is a mother” and shouldn’t act that way. However, some defended Palmer, criticizing Jackson for taking the matter to social media.

Usher’s Track Has Gotten Mixed Reviews From Some People

Upon its release, “Good Good” has gotten mixed reviews from some people. While Usher’s vocal abilities always shine through, some thought he might have been trying too hard to stay relevant. Recently, on an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, the rapper-turned-podcast savant blasted the song. “This Usher, Summer Walker, and 21 Savage record is my least favorite out of the Usher records that have been released.” He even pondered if it was created by AI.

However, some seem to be quite enjoying the tune. “Imagine debuting in 1994 and still being able to put out timeless R&B records. A R&B LEGEND!” one person wrote under the video’s comment section. “Usher’s career is maturing like fine wine. For someone who first boomed in the 90s and still killing it like this is just mind blowing… A living legend,” another fan wrote.

Do Not Step Up To BONES On “Ratatat”

The rapper with track after track on deck is back a day later with a brand-new cut. Michigan rapper BONES is ready for anyone to come for him on this track called “Ratatat.” It might just be another typical track for most people who do not know of BONES. But, he is a secretive innovator behind some of the biggest subgenres in rap. He now resides in California and is also the leader of the music collective TeamSESH. It is a home for a lot of underground artists who fall under the same umbrella as BONES does.

Which niches in the rap world do those include? Well, some of those include metal rap, emo rap, cloud rap, and trap rap. BONES has been making music since the early 2010s. That is before artists like XXXTentacion, Juice WRLD, Lil Peep, and others. Unfortunately, BONES never reached star status as they did. However, he should be considered a founding father of these areas in hip-hop. After all, he appeared on A$AP Rocky’s “Canal St.” for the sample that was used on it.

BONES Is Ruthless

Many of BONES’ songs are about murderous levels of violence and being a lone wolf. That vibe is heavy on the prolific rapper’s “Ratatat.” He raps, “Blood on my hands, blood on my face, blood on my blade / Promise I would, I bet that I could, but I cannot change / Razor blade on my waist, f*****g with BONES, it gon’ be your last day (What?)” It is a vicious song with haunting synths and room-shaking bass. It will be another eventual hit with his fans.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new track “Ratatat?” Is BONES an underappreciated rapper in the rap world? Do you like rappers that drop a lot of music or when they take more time in between new material? MoneyBagg Yo Gets Personal With “Nun Like Me” Video

MoneyBagg Yo has just dropped off the accompanying music video to his track, “Nun Like Me.” Throughout the video, MoneyBagg Yo pays homage to his Memphis roots. We find the rapper chowing down on local food, walking through Beale Street, and more. It seems to celebrate his hometown and the people who have supported his career. He also recently released visuals for other tracks from Hard To Love, like “F MY BM,” “Lies,” “Sholl Is,” and “Where Ya Bih At.”

MoneyBagg isn’t the type of artist you would expect to be vulnerable. His latest project, however, disproves that claim. In his most recent project, he discusses relationships, grief, mental health, fake friends, and life in general. His honest lyrics and raw emotion have resonated with fans, allowing them to relate to his songs on a deeper level.

The Track Appears On MoneyBagg Yo’s Latest Mixtape, “Hard To Love”

In June, MoneyBagg Yo finally released his Hard To Love mixtape. Guest appearances include Future, Fridayy, YTB Fatt, Fat Wizza, Lil Durk, and GloRillaIt was his first mixtape since 2020’s Code Red. He hasn’t released a full-length studio album since 2021’s A Gangsta’s Pain. Following the release of Hard To Love, MoneyBagg discussed the inspiration behind the project with Angie Martinez. He also opened up about being unfaithful to his girlfriend, Ari Fletcher.

“Of course, you know, I made some mistakes. You already know what I’m getting at with that,” the rapper told Martinez. “She ain’t take that well… It’s different when you have the person call them and try to tell them everything. ‘He did this. He was doing this. Did you know he do this?’ That made it even worse on her. But I kept it G, though. ‘Yea, I did that. I’m sorry. I made mistakes. That was then.’ I come from a pure place when I say that. I wanna work through it and get through it and she with it. She helping me work through it. That’s why I rock with her so tough.”

James Blake Is Headed To Outer Space On “Playing Robots Into Heaven”

James Blake is one of the most intriguing artists in the world right now. He is also a highly recruited artist in the hip-hop landscape. He scored multiple feature and production credits on Travis Scott’s massive album UTOPIA. He also landed on Metro Boomin’s soundtrack for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. Blake’s track record will be one to remember when he eventually decides to call it quits. Obviously, though, he is still making music now and very exciting sounds at that.

Over the past three months, he seems to be taking a new direction compared to his previous works. James Blake is not one to settle for one sound, but this one is something totally left-field. Back in June, the multi-talent put out the lead single for his upcoming album called Playing Robots Into Heaven. The track is named, “Big Hammer,” and it is a four-minute track with electronic production with some trap-like kick drums. It also has a music video which is equally weird. A month later, the beautiful “Loading” features actual vocals from James.

It transports you to outer space as if you are floating toward an alien-like world. The accompanying music video also provides the fans with album cover as you can above with the cover image. Do you think this will be an album of the year contender?

What are your initial thoughts on this new track and album trailer for “Playing Robots Into Heaven” by James Blake? Are you excited about this new direction he is going in? Brent Faiyaz And Coco Jones Provide The Best “Moment Of Your Life”

Brent Faiyaz has one of the most distinctive voices in the R&B space. His vocal range usually sits in a lower register, allowing for his signature sensual sound to stand out and set you in that certain vibe that is undefeated. He has done it on so many tracks like “Been Away,” “ALL MINE,” and “DEAD MAN WALKING.” Now, he will have another one to add to his stacked catalog. His new single with Coco Jones is a sexy cut with glorious singing and suggestive lyrics.

Unfortunately, this is the only collaboration we have with the former Disney Channel star and master crooner. The song is all about providing a one-of-a-kind experience in the bedroom for your partner and wanting to let the rest of the competition know about it. This theme is brought up a lot, especially in R&B music, but this cut is so well done. It runs just over three minutes but Brent Faiyaz and Coco Jones fill out the time perfectly.

Brent Faiyaz And Coco Jones Are A Perfect Match

Faiyaz sings about the amazing moment he shares with his woman from his perspective. He wants to tell all the other women that it was so good and that is how it should be when they come through next time. From Coco’s side, she is portraying the woman Brent is with for the night. She wants to show it all off for him and how she can be promiscuous even though she might seem like a goody-two-shoes. After listening to this, you will want a collab album from these two right away.

What are your initial thoughts on this new track, “Moment Of Your Life,” by Brent Faiyaz and Coco Jones? Do you think these two should collaborate more often? Who had the best part of this song? We want to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Consequence Reworks “BLOOD STAIN 2”

A little over a year ago, Queens, New York rap legend Consequence released another collaboration with Kanye West. The single, “Blood Stain,” did not have a Ye verse, but he provided another fire beat per usual. Consequence also bodied it with his tremendous command of the mic and dazzling verses. The song was received so well that the 46-year-old decided to release a sequel titled, “BLOOD STAIN 2.” It brought on the likes of Miami rap icon Rick Ross and R&B singer Amerie.

The second version was put out on streaming services almost a year later on March 17, 2023. However, a final rendition is on YouTube, but this time it is without Rozay’s opening verse. Instead, it only includes Amerie’s intro where she sings, “From the blood stain (ooh) / I know just one thing / There’s love and there’s pain / I’mma rise through my veins, yeah / It’s from the blood stains (ooh).” Then, it hops into the second Consequence verse and then back to Amerie’s outro.

Is Consequence’s Song Still Heat?

Overall, does this edition of Consequence’s track still sound just as good? Well, we will leave that up to you guys in the comments. However, the production is still great, nothing has changed there. Ye and Consequence have so much chemistry so that part is flawless. He rides the beat perfectly and Amerie, who was singing the background vocals in the original song gets the full credit here and they sound wonderful. Her part is very catchy and adds a nice atmosphere to a more overall aggressive tone.

What are your thoughts on this rework of Consequence’s “BLOOD STAIN 2?” Which version do you prefer, the original, the version with Rick Ross, or this one? Are Kanye West and Consequence an underrated duo in hip-hop history? We want to hear what you have to say, so leave all of your comments and opinions in the comments section. BONES Releases Dark Track “Peroxide”

Prolific rapper BONES is back with his trademark sound on a new cut called “Peroxide.” Not much is known about him since he generally keeps a low profile, but there is some information about the Howell, Michigan native. The now 29-year-old rapper was born on January 11, 1994, and now resides in California. As stated earlier, BONES pumps out tons of new material. He was just a 16-years- his first mixtape in all the way back in 2010. That was enough to convince himself to drop out of school and pack his bags to Los Angeles. From there his career took off and he has not looked back.

Since then, BONES has put out over 70 albums and projects, including hundreds of music videos, while also wrapping up four national tours in 13 years. It is certainly an impressive feat but it does not stop there. On A$AP Rocky’s 2015 album AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP, he landed a massive feature credit on the fantastic cut, “Canal St.” Rocky sampled the beat from “Dirt,” a big song from BONES’ 2013 mixtape Scumbag, earning more attention. Now, he is back with more material with “Peroxide.”

BONES Rides The Beat Effortlessly

BONES bodies this dark and cavernous production. With the flows on point with a sometimes whispery effect, it adds to the atmosphere. It is a short song, running just under two minutes. Unfortunately, it leaves the ears hanging because it felt like there could have been another verse but it should satisfy his fans.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new track, “Peroxide,” from BONES? Is this a top-tier track from him? What is your favorite album of his? Redveil’s Talents Are On Full Display With “DRAMA (Freestyle)”

When some people make comments about rap music losing its edge or creativity, they are dead wrong. There are so many innovators just in the past few years. Some to list off are JID, Denzel Curry, Baby Keem, and Don Toliver, the list is insane. We even have some that are making waves in the underground scene like redveil. The 19-year-old from Washington D.C. might be the cream of the crop when it comes to young, bubbling stars in the making.

To be honest, redveil might already be in the star conversation. With his jazz rap-inspired beats and wicked lyrical ability, he is a force to be reckoned with already. If he wants to he can get into his aggressive trap bag as well, which is exactly what he does on his new song “DRAMA (Freestyle).” He is all business on this cut getting braggadocious and hyping up his originality. Unfortunately, it has not hit streaming platforms at this current moment, but you can find it on YouTube with the attachment below.

Redveil Has Got Next

Right away redveil comes into the mic hot with bold claims with a trunk-knocking beat and soul chop. He says that he is basically one-of-kind and no one can really top him. Redveil also takes shots at other artists for putting on fronts that they original when really they are biting off others. The youngster has already earned the respect of Tyler, The Creator, and others in the industry, and he is sure to gain more of it very soon. With the rap collective Odd Future being a big influence, he is also being compared to others like Denzel and JID too, and for good reason.

What are your thoughts on this brand new track, “DRAMA (Freestyle)” by redveil? Is he one of your favorite new rappers out right now?
