38 Spesh Recruits Benny The Butcher And Conway The Machine For “Goodfellas”

It’s safe to wonder if Conway The Machine ever sleeps. The rapper has been releasing music prolifically all year including a full studio album of his own as well as a collaborative album with Jae Skeese and a compilation album for his Drumwork label. He’s also managed to appear in a number of featured roles including on this new song. He teams up with frequent collaborator 38 Spesh and fellow Griselda alum Benny The Butcher for a new hard-hitting posse cut on “Goodfellas.”

The song sounds like many of the trios tracks in the past with a hard-hitting drum beat and nostalgic samples laced into it. The track also features a lot of typical hip-hop subject matter about women, dangerous confrontations and plenty of bragging. The track features production from Spesh himself alongside JimmyDukes. Both Benny and Conway provide memorable verses later on in the song. The track should have no trouble winning over those that are already fans of Griselda and Spesh. Check out the full song below.

This isn’t the first time 38 Spesh and Conway The Machine have teamed up this year. They collaborated on their last single “Latex Gloves” just last week. That song also featured a collaboration with Lloyd Banks. Benny The Butcher is the only one in the trio who hasn’t released much recently. While he has appeared on a few features he hasn’t dropped much music of his own since last year.

That could change when Benny drops his new album. The project was originally scheduled to drop in August but wasn’t ready yet and got pushed back to an unknown date. Lil Peep & iLoveMakonnen Deliver Hypnotic Track “November”

Lil Peep was someone who was in the midst of changing the game in hip-hop. Overall, he was someone who came up during the SoundCloud era and really created his own lane. He was one of the pioneers of the emo-rap sound that would dominate 2016 and 2017. Unfortunately, the artist died incredibly young and it left his friends, family, and fans, devastated. As it turns out, at the time of his death, he was in the midst of making an album with none other than iLoveMakonnen.

The two were very good friends, and ever since his passing, Makonnen has been honest about how devastated he was by Peep’s death. For years, Makonnen refrained from dropping the project, which was mostly finished. Now, however, the new album Diamonds is slated to be dropped next Friday, September 8th. Below, you can find the first single to drop from the album, titled “November.” If you’re a fan of either artist, you have to give this a listen.

Throughout the track, we get some plucky synths while Makonnen starts it off with some great vocals. From there, the song transitions into a punky ballad-like song that is led by Peep’s distinct vocals. Once again, we get a transition back into Makonnen’s part, which features those aforementioned plucky synths. It is a song that is going to make you feel good, especially with the summer coming to a close.

New Playboi Carti Leak Fuels Rumors Of New Music Coming Soon

Rumors of Playboi Carti dropping soon amid lots of leaks are about as common as leaves falling in autumn at this point. Fans have been starving and fiending for more ever since Whole Lotta Red dropped, amid the rapper’s own legal and relationship controversies plus exciting performances. Many fans believe that Music will be another great album, although it’s possible that it won’t even be named that by the time it drops. Given that his leaked discography is just as revered and abundant as his official releases, new snippets surfacing online are a staple of his career. With each new entry in that saga, die-hards get excited and disappointed all over again.

Furthermore, we’re now in that excitement stage again, with a clip of an unreleased track “Wicked (Killers)” leaking online. It’s what you’d expect from this King Vamp era: baby-voiced, unintelligible, but still invigorating and downright catchy. Moreover, the instrumental on this Playboi Carti features the ethereal synth pads and distorted bass that defines his artistry for the most part. In addition, there are some extra buzzing embellishments that fit this track in the rage-heavy phase of the Atlanta trap innovator’s path.

“Wicked (Killers),” The Latest Playboi Carti Leak

What’s more is that this track has apparently been in the works for a while, unless it’s not an accurate name. During a 2022 interview with XXL, the “Notice Me” MC played an unreleased song also called “Wicked” to the interviewer before their conversation. When the interviewer, editor-in-chief Vanessa Satten, asked about a new album, he had this to say. “I was about to name my album Music because that’s where I’m at,” Playboi Carti expressed. “You know what I’m saying? Music.”

Meanwhile, fans had mixed reactions to this leak. On one hand, they’re happy to get new Carti amid almost complete radio silence from him. On the other, some believe that this will only further delay Music‘s release, and even saw the snippet as a vengeful move following the delay of his tour with Opium. This proves to be a solid choice as he gets to prove that he is not all about one sound. That said, this song does play on those emotional notes that he typically embraces.

This track has some great piano lines and chords that come throughout the track. Moreover, Rod Wave raps about a failed relationship and the heartbreak that comes with it. He even speaks on the emotional anguish that could lead to taking your own life. It is a heartbreaking concept that speaks to the deep feelings Wave has been feeling while recording the new project.

Doja Cat Shares Music Video For New Song “Demons”

Doja Cat has had an up-and-down week packed full of controversies. Firstly, she faced controversy after announcing her new single “Demons.” Despite the pretty obvious implications of the title, fans thought that the artwork was too demonic or satanic. Doja didn’t mince words when clapping back at fans that couldn’t take the cover. “Y’all so b*tchmade you probably couldn’t make it through an episode of ‘Goosebumps’, f*ckin p*ssies,” she said on her Instagram story.

She also dealt with issues for another piece of artwork. She shared details of her new album Scarlet to social media including announcing the release date, September 22, and posting the album cover to Instagram. Some keen-eyed fans took notice of the fact that the album cover was eerie similar to one used by German metal band Chaver, and that the albums were set to be released on the same day. As it turns out the same artist made both album covers and Doja seemed fine letting Chaver have that one. She eventually deleted the original post and replaced it with a new album cover featuring a different spider.

Doja Cat Turns Into A Nightmare Demon

In the newly released video, Doja Cat herself plays a demon of sorts. She haunts the nightmares of actress Christina Ricci through a series of dark dreamy landscapes. While some fans have taken issue with imagery in the video once again, for the most part, Doja’s fans seem to appreciate it.

One thing that many pointed out about the song is how much it reminds them of one artist in particular. Doja Cat’s unconventional flows and hilarious background adlibs immediately reminded fans of the eccentricities of Baby Keem. The comparison is so strong that some even wondered if Keem himself had his hand in the song. Chase B And Swae Lee Link Up For “Street Sweeper”

Now, however, Chase B is looking to follow-up on the success of that single. Of course, this is going to be a hard task when you consider the standard of that track. That said, when it was announced that he was bringing in Swae Lee, it became clear that he had a good shot of making things happen. Today, the song was released. Throughout this track, we get some hard production with booming 808s and ratting hi-hats that bounce around your headphones. Interestingly enough, the track sounds like something you would hear from the likes of Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar. From the horn sections to the flows, there is a lot of “Melodic Blue” in here.
