Sheff G & Sleepy Hallow Are Back To Tease Their Albums With Softer Vibes “Never Again” & “Upgrade My Life”

Sheff G isn’t one to consistently drop more sensual tracks, but he’s doing that this weekend with “Never Again.” It’s a brand-new promotional record for his upcoming album Proud of Myself, which comes out next Friday, November 22. This is the second offering so far, with the first being “Today.” That hit streaming on November 1. Also teasing an album in tandem with Sheff is one his New York drill counterparts, Sleepy Hallow.

He’s left off a similar vibe to G’s “Never Again,” however, it’s more of an introspective listen. Hallow’s “Upgrade My Life” is just what the title says it’s about, as he raps in a lowkey demeanor about getting his mom a more comfortable lifestyle while living lavishly himself. This single is also his second from his respective project that’s coming on December 6, READ THIS WHEN YOU WAKE UP. It’s more a trap/pop rap cut compared to Sheff G’s which is in the sexy drill vein. Him and Lil Tecca vow to fix things with women they both feel they’ve wronged too many times. If you are wanting to hear how they fare with these topics, check them out via the combo EP that includes each single called Don’t Sleep While It’s Lit -Part 2, below.

Quotable Lyrics From “Never Again”:

Reason she f***in’ with Tecca, I’m tryna do better, I’m gettin’ her wetter
Ayy, she give me top in the back of the Tesla
I’m ridin’ a Jester, I feel like I’m Lester
Ayy, know what you want, then you gotta be honest
She probably just got that real n**** to ‘tect her (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Ayy, she wild like Ke$ha, ayy, she bad, ayy, she pressure (Oh yeah)

Sheff G & Sleepy Hallow Release Separate Album Singles Together With “Today” & “Mmm”

Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow are like two peas in a pod. Both have been prominent voices in the New York drill scene for a few years apiece and they each have tons of hits under their belts. Naturally, their stars align quite often, and their work relationship seems to be stronger than most out there. Given all of this, it’s no surprise that they are releasing together once again. However, it’s not how you may expect. According to a press release, “Today” belongs to Sheff G and will land on a new album. Then, “Mmm” is a Sleepy Hallow only track and is going to be on his future project, READ THIS WHEN YOU WAKE UP.

But the twists and turns don’t end there. Making this slightly more confusing is that they are both out together under a two-pack. It’s called Don’t Sleep While It’s Lit – Part 1, so there might be another EP coming at some point. However, let’s focus on the known facts. Via another press release, Sheff will be dropping his full-length body of work on November 22. It will be called Proud of Myself and will feature Sleepy Hallow, Lil Tecca, and more. As for Hallow, his will arrive on December 6. It’s a lot to take in but maybe listening to “Today” and “Mmm” may clear your mind, so check them out now.

Amine Teams Up With Smino For “Passenger Princess /Adam” Two Pack

It’s always a joy when Amine has a new song or project out. The Portland, Oregon native always seems to be able to evoke loose and chill vibes. It’s a quality that his fans are definitely appreciative of and it’s what they come to expect. They have been in Amine’s IG comments section under his announcement post for “Passenger Princess / Adam.” “Gonna paint and sip while I float to these new tracks🙂↕” one user says. “Gonna be in my dorm doing homework, ts gonna get me on that academic grind 💪💪” another adds.

This is a new two pack that was just released hours ago and it’s also got a feature from the ever so talented Smino. Shockingly, this is the first time we have heard these expressive and idiosyncratic talents together. But unsurprisingly, they mesh perfectly as they both also have a knack for penning some hilarious one liners no matter the tone of the song. “Passenger Princess” and “Adam” are both relationship songs but share drastically different approaches to the subject. The former is much more casual, as Amine and Smino detail the carefree and sexually active connection they share with their ladies. “Adam,” though, is more serious, with Adam Amine Daniel giving everything he has to his partner despite her shortcomings. He’s extremely insecure and anxious on it and the lyrics really cut deep. Check out the two pack below and let us know what you think.

Real Boston Richey Delivers A Sequel To His Hit “Help Me” On New EP “Go Richey”

Real Boston Richey hasn’t been as active in 2024 as in years prior, but he’s made up for it in a different way. At the end of May, the Tallahassee, Florida talent dropped his “Help Me” single and it blew up. The song was trending on YouTube in its first few days thanks to an early explosion in views. What’s really wild is that almost five months later, and the video for it is still ranking extremely high. The Freebandz signee has racked up over 23 million plays, which equates to the 14th top music video.

Go Richey, Go Richey, Go Richey! Ironically, that’s the name for his new EP, although, we’d be lying if we said we didn’t try and make that pun on purpose. Jokes aside, though, Real Boston Richey has two new songs following the aforementioned track’s success. One of them is “Go Richey” and the other is in fact a sequel to “Help Me”. It does a solid job connecting the themes to the original, as he seems like he’s wanting to settle down with one woman as opposed to messing around with a few. While it might be more of a tender cut, it’s still got some outrageous bars. Just trust us and listen for yourself with the links below.

You so fine on FaceTime, sometime, bae I just wanna f*** the phone
I be adding that money to Cash App, every time I hear you moan
Bet I caught me on, whenever I’m trickin’, that’s just what I’m on

Hunxho Gives Us Two Emotionally Charged Cuts With “Part Of The Plan” & “Hold Me Down”

2024’s XXL Freshman Class has some potential. It’s not always easy to predict who will and who won’t breakout in the future. But with this year’s edition, there a couple that we are starting to see the vision with One of those is Hunxho, an Atlanta native who is already developing a pretty recognizable melodic delivery. His sound is also a nice blend of traditional trap with some hints of introspection, emo rap, and R&B. We would argue that all of these elements are on these two new tracks from Hunxho, “Part Of The Plan” and “Hold Me Down”.

The six-year veteran has been dropping quite a bit since achieving the honor, with six singles and a mini project making up the releases so far. The latter of them, Before The Album, had some solid ideas at its core, however, there are some slight mixing errors that we noted. Hopefully, when the real LP arrives, Hunxho will be able to correct them. “Part Of The Plan” and “Hold Me Down” sound like they were put together pretty flawlessly, including the messaging of each one. The former is a mini commentary on the “bulls***” state of music, as well as his goals and ambitions. “Hold Me Down” is a love cut in which Hunxho is yearning for a deep connection. Overall, both have a lot to like, so spin ’em below.

KayCyy & Sign Crushes Motorist Join Forces To Drop “BRUISED” & “Never Wanna See You” As HIIBRYD

KayCyy is always bringing something refreshing to the hip-hop sphere but characterizing him as a rapper would be disingenuous. Honestly, we feel he fits the alternative mold more accurately. Due to him being more of a singer, he can really be placed into so many different soundscapes. Rap and R&B are his specialties, but we have seen him be excellent in more of a pop setting with a song like “My Jeans”, for example. Speaking of that track, it seems to be a single for an upcoming solo album, but not much is known. So, when we saw his name on two new cuts, “BRUISED” and “Never Wanna See You”, we got excited.

However, we then became slightly confused, as these are two songs from HIIBRYD. “BRUISED” and “Never Wanna See You” are instead releases under a new group for KayCyy. This is an endeavor between him and Irish singer/producer Liam McCay, aka, sign crushes motorist. Liam and KayCyy’s debut collaboration tape will be called SADDEST TRUTH and is expected to be out in October. Both tracks offer up some truly incredible production, which Liam has credits for, as well as some background singing on “Never Wanna See You”. Hopefully, when the album drops, we get to hear more vocals. KayCyy seems to be the lead singer of this group so far, and his performances are catchy and emotional at times. If we had to compare to the expansive production on both songs, we would say they are far better examples than what both VULTURES albums had to offer. Take that how you want, but we encourage you to give these a try. We are pretty excited for SADDEST TRUTH, now.

Did I hold all my silly remarks?

DaBaby Leaves Off Two-Pack Of “Did It” & “Can’t Keep Keisha” Amid New Project Announcement

Let’s gooo”, is what a lot of DaBaby fans have to be saying right now because he’s got a new tape on the way. Just several hours ago, the Cleveland born, Charlotte bred rapper made this big announcement on his Instagram account. “HOW TF IS THIS A MIXTAPE?” 💣💿 GOOD DOPE SELL ITSELF😤 NEXT FRIDAY. 14 HITS.” A gift before the album 🔥 Oh yea… “CAN’T KEEP KEISHA” out now bae. 🖤”, DaBaby adds. “Threw another lil surprise out today too. LETS FLOOD. NEXT WEEK WE GO CRAZY 💨”.

What this essentially all means is that DaBaby is going to be dropping HOW TF IS THIS A MIXTAPE? next Friday, September 27. There’s going to be 14 new songs, with two of them out now. They include “Can’t Keep Keisha” and “Did It”. With this two-pack, you are getting some duality. On the former, you are getting some more introspective and personal bars about family and love. DaBaby also tries to sing some of the chorus, which comes across just as how you might expect. However, we can appreciate the delivery switch up. Then, on the latter, you’ll hear more traditional DaBaby which is that aggressive, Pit bull-like demeanor over a booming trap instrumental.

Quotable Lyrics From “Can’t Keep Keisha”:

Wale Returns With Brief But Intriguing “Ghetto Speak” & “Mission Statement” Singles

Wale has kind of been in the dark for a little bit now, but he seems to be ramping up production again with this new “Ghetto Speak” two-pack. This comes on the heels of his Every Blue Moon Tour announcement from a few weeks ago. It’s commemorating the release of his debut album, Attention Deficit, which is now over 15 years old already. The Every Blue Moon trek is going to be quite the journey across the U.S. despite it not being solely for a new release. Wale will begin on September 19 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Then, he will wrap things up on November 7 in Birmingham, AL. However, noticed how we said “not solely”. There is a great chance that the D.C. talent will promote some new tracks from his ninth album that’s in the works.

It’s possible that it could be named after the tour, and it would be an aptly titled LP given his recent track record. We don’t have a release date yet, but we did receive a snippet of song in the trailer announcement for the tour. Furthering the hype are these two new songs from Wale, “Ghetto Speak” and “Mission Statement”. Both cuts are extremely short with them averaging out to be a minute and a half apiece. However, they do present some descriptive and introspective lyricism, as well as solid beats. “Ghetto Speak” is rougher around the edges with dirty soul vibe. His bars reflect the good and the bad about his hometown. “Mission Statement”, more cleanly produced by T-Minus, sounds more upbeat on the surface, but it has a serious tone like the first. There are great ideas here and we cannot wait for more to come from Wale.

Tory Lanez Treats Fans To Three New Tracks For His Prison Tapes Pack

Tory Lanez is already putting in so much work while behind bars. So, as fans, we are extremely appreciative that his going above and beyond this week. If you haven’t been keeping up with his musical output as of late, the rapper and singer has been dropping a two-piece every weekend for over a month. It’s all for his new Prison Tapes series/playlist, and it originally started with him uncovering some old recordings throughout multiple eras in his career.

He’s still doing that, but as of late Tory Lanez has been putting in extra hours to record new material while in prison. Making things even more impressive is that the quality of the tracks is up to snuff with artists who have the benefit of recording in an actual studio. It seems that each Tory fan has their favorite set of tracks from these weekly releases, and ours might be this one. This time through, he’s delivering a never before seen three-pack. “Appellate Court Freestyle”, which features AWOL$, “Tommie’s Interlude”, and “Basement” are the titles. The first is probably out favorite and arguably features Lanez’s best rapping performance as he airs out his stresses, his views on the double standards in society and more.

Central Cee Is Equal Parts Cocky & Humble On New Two Pack “Bolide Noir”

One of the most important names in all of UK hip-hop right now is back. West Londoner Central Cee is here with a new two-pack for us, “Bolide Noir”. It features the title track, which features the Frenchman, JRK 19, and “Billion Streams Freestyle”. The Columbia Records signee has been enjoying a pretty fruitful 2024 thanks to some big singles and a handful of features. When it comes to the former, you have “BAND4BAND” with Lil Baby and now “gen z luv”, which is gaining steam as we speak. As for the latter, he was able to grab a guest spot on J. Cole’s surprise project Might Delete Later. Of course, you also can’t forget about his controversial Ice Spice collab “Did It First”. That led to lots of rumors, confusion and a breakup with influencer, Madeline Argy.

These two singles are the first offerings since that debacle, and they look to be more hits for Cench in the near future. “Bolide Noir” is the banger of the tandem, and this probably the song that’s going to cause a little debate online. In fact, it already has, as DJ Akademiks posed the question with a screenshot of the bars below. Some fans were giving Cee his flowers, while others were quick to dismiss his bold statements. Then, you have “Billion Streams Freestyle”, which sees him in a reflective state talking about how far he’s come and his biggest career accomplishments. “Said that my b**** was gay, got a billion streams, I’m a mainstream rapper“. Check out the Central Cee singles with the links below.
