EST Gee Pays An Emotional Tribute To A Late Friend On “RIP Lu Mike”

Louisville, Kentucky’s uber aggressive MC, EST Gee, is toning things down a bit for this new release, “RIP LU MIKE.” Based on the title alone, you know it’s going to be a more somber and emotional listen. It turns out to be just that, as the C.M.G. artist pays tribute to his late friend, who according to the lyrics, took his own life. It’s a painful listen that isn’t for the faint of heart. “RIP Lu Mike, took his own life, drawin’ down on his opponent / They eyes was closed, so they wouldn’t know, they just heard the four nick throwin’ /
Even after he fell from shootin’ himself, you scared to walk down on him
.”

The production on the track, courtesy of FOREVEROLLING and Marko Lenz, matches the tone to perfection. It’s sad, eerie, and beautiful all at the same time. The violin sections really sell it for us. For EST Gee, this is one of now four singles. “NEVER NEED” with Selfpaid Savage hit in August. Then, “Go” and “The Streets” were close behind in November. All of these including “RIP LU MIKE” are slated to land on his next project that’s in the works, I Ain’t Feeling You. For now, though, check out the gut-wrenching and hard-hitting new cut below.

Ne-Yo Drops Off Seductive Single “Show Me”

Ne-Yo is keeping it classy and not too dirty on his latest effort, “Show Me.” This is the Arkansas singer-songwriter extraordinaire’s first solo single since “2 Million Secrets” back in June of this year. Whether or not we are in the midst of an album rollout remains to be seen. However, fans are more than ecstatic about this new release. “This is the Neyo I remember it’s giving early early 2000🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥” one fan comments under the music video post. “This song is very intimate. It’s not too sexual. The lyrics are perfect for what the video explains. Good job Ne-Yo for keeping it clean,” another applauds.

“Show Me” finds Ne-Yo entranced by a woman he meets at a club. She’s giving him attention, making herself available, and showing all the right signs. He then invites her back to his pad for a sensual and passionate evening, and things get beautifully romantic between them. As that one fan says, the visual perfectly tells the story in the song, making it that much more impactful. It’s got all of the makings of being another hit for Ne-Yo, which is highly commendable given how long and how much he’s seen in this industry. His run in the 2000s to early 2010s was nothing short of amazing, with every album having multiple smash singles. Even into the 2020s decade, Ne-Yo hasn’t really lost much of his touch and “Show Me” is an example of that.

KSI Flips The Script On Fans With Somber “Dirty”

UK multi-talent known on the internet as KSI, has built quite an impervious empire. His YouTube channels, both solo and with the Sidemen, are some of the most subscribed to on the platform. Additionally, him and Logan Paul have their sports hydration drink brand PRIME and their kid’s food subset, Lunchly. Although, those ventures do have the greatest reputation, especially as of late. His music career has also seen its fair share of setbacks as well, with listeners cracking jokes and making memes out of it. That was especially the case with “Thick Of It,” his 2024 collab with Trippie Redd. Many eviscerated it for the poor rapping, it’s cutesy instrumental, and lack of song structure.

However, we feel that KSI will quiet a lot of the negativity with this latest single, “Dirty.” Fans have been praising it nonstop already thanks to its severe style switch up across multiple areas. He’s ditching the rapping for non-auto-tune singing (which goes over better than expected) and the messaging, theme, and tone is much more somber. It’s about the dangers and unexpected things love can do to a person and the track includes some uncredited female vocals that give it a nice point of view from both genders. Speaking of them, that’s another thing that listeners can’t stop discussing. A lot of folks are saying its actually Billie Eilish and we can certainly hear the similarities in the vocals. Genius says its unused recordings from the American bedroom pop star, but nothing has been confirmed. Regardless, it’s a W from KSI and we encourage you to give it a chance.

41 Connects With Skilla Baby For Blistering “Split” Single

You may think the drill scene is dominated by one or two major names. However, we would like to introduce you to 41, if you haven’t heard them already. The Brooklyn trio consisting of Kyle Richh, TaTa, and Jenn Carter has been on a tear this year dropping party banger after party banger. 2023 was when they really broke through, thanks to their hit single “Bent.” That landed on their second project from that 12 month stretch, 41 World: Not The Album. It’s probably their most important song of their careers so far, as it’s gotten them recognition from hip-hop’s biggest stars. Additionally, a lot of collaborations have been sparked because of it, with Cash Cobain, NLE Choppa, Fivio Foreign, and Lola Brooke being a few of them.

Also, aiding their ever-flourishing success is the fact that the group’s members are dropping solo material. In doing so, they are following the footsteps of hip-hop’s most legendary formations like Migos, OutKast, and more. That’s only going to increase their exposure and continue to earn them more and more respect amongst their peers and fans. This weekend though, Kyle, Jenn, and TaTa are reuniting for their latest single, “Split.” It also brings on Detroit’s Skilla Baby, who has also been tearing it up. Typically, a drill beat would be the template, but in this case, it’s more a Midwest trap beat. It allows for Skilla Baby to fit more comfortably into the equation, but 41 doesn’t fall behind. Their fiery and aggressive flows and bars match the energy of all of the other elements in tow. Check out “Split” with the link below.

Offset Returns With His First Solo Track In Over A Year With “Swing My Way”

2024 for Offset has been dominated by his strenuous relationship/falling out with Cardi B. Overall, it’s been very difficult to see them tear each other down so ruthlessly. But the former Migos rapper is looking to move past all of that by dropping some new music. It’s actually a bit of special release for the Georgia superstar, as “Swing My Way” is here as an early birthday gift to himself and his fans. He will be turning 33 tomorrow, December 14. On this record, Offset is delivering his effortless flow that he’s become known for since dropping music professionally over a decade ago.

Turbo is on production for this single and its honestly a perfect match for what he like to tackle. A lot of fans are saying that this would have been a fire Gunna collab. However, we can appreciate Offset riding solo on this one because he sounds great. Audiences agree, with some even dubbing this as his best single in a while. It feels like it could be a lead-off cut for an upcoming album, something that he’s been teasing since dropping SET IT OFF last year. There have been rumors that it will be named after his government name, Kiari. However, nothing has been truly set in stone just yet. For now, check out “Swing My Way” and its music video which stars model, Anok Yai.

K Camp Details The “Consequences” Of Fame & Life On His Latest Single

K CAMP is here to make everyone aware of life’s “Consequences” on his first release since his seven-track EP, Float Island. The Wisconsin rapper and singer sounds very purposeful on the cut, which features a slower and soulful trap beat. On it, he raps about what will happen if people try to mess with him or try to take advantage of him and his success. “These n****s watchin’ my profile, these n****s in my loop / These b****es lovin’ my profile, you know they on me too, for real / Be careful with these h*es ’cause these h*es’ll line you up.”

Additionally, K CAMP touches on how life can be unfair sometimes. “I got so much to say and damn, I miss my dog, for real / I feel alone off in this s***, didn’t know it would come to this.” Overall, it’s a pretty personal cut, and one that fans should come to love from the hitmaker. It’s been a big year for K CAMP, and “Consequences” should put a nice bow on everything. That also includes his first LP since 2022 with Float 2 London, another installment in this growing series of his. It’s unclear what the ultimate destiny will be for this cut, but it’s an enjoyable listen regardless, so check it out below.

Redman Reps His Hometown On “Jersey”

Newark, New Jersey native Redman is back with a loose and lively new single, “Jersey.” It’s a perfect representation of the longtime of MC, as he always has been one of hip-hop’s most entertaining characters. It’s arguably his best attribute, outside of his obvious writing talent. On the track, Funk Doc is confident and comedic, as he raps about his success, his love for weed, and talking down to his competition. While this is going on, there’s a unique and colorful beat with tons of bounce that feels almost club ready. It’s a pretty celebratory vibe, and we can see this being a closer of sorts for his next project. That would be Muddy Waters Too, the long-awaited sequel to his 1996 classic.

The timetable for its release remains a mystery. However, over the course of 2024, he’s been quite active. Most of his drops have been YouTube freestyles, but these at least suggest he’s back in album mode. Also hinting at a sooner-than-later release for Muddy Waters Too is the previous single, “Dont Wanna C Me Rich.” That hit streaming platforms back on November 26, and it was one of our favorite cuts from that month. It’s a very enjoyable listen, as he raps over a groovy boom bap instrumental about getting money and making plenty others jealous of his success. He’s equally as expressive and in top-tier form there, and we highly recommend it if you haven’t check out Redman lately. For now, though we will just have to patiently wait, even though we have been doing so for years and years at this point.

Peso Pluma Shouts Out Gervonta Davis On His Newest Single

One of Mexico‘s biggest artists is finishing out 2024 with a celebratory type of track. Peso Pluma is here with “gervonta,” his first solo release since his massive double album, ÉXODO, which hit streaming back in June. On this near three-minute cut, the Zapopan native raps in his typical yelpy and growly delivery over a trumpet and guitar-led instrumental. While the entire song isn’t showing love to American boxing champion Gervonta Davis, Pluma does shout him out on the chorus.

Cryptocurrencies come my way / Front row watching Gervonta in Las Vegas / Shining, Swiss watch on my wrist / And on a private jet because time flies.” For a majority, he’s actually flexing his wealth and motion. “Girls in the jacuzzi, the guys with Uzis and SCARs / More private parties, Marca Registrada, my man / We party, molly and wax, tropical blew the coconut / Hooded up, hustling ovеr in Dubai.” So, why would Peso Pluma namedrop the athlete in the track? Well, according to Variety, he’s a massive fan of wrestling, boxing, and similar sports for a long time. In fact, his stage name actually translates to “featherweight,” a weight classification. He’s listed off some inspirations in his career like Ric Flair, for example. You can chec out “gervonta” with the YouTube audio link below.

AzChike Makes His Solo Return With “Love Yo Weapons”

Kendrick Lamar helped put his fans and other hip-hop listeners on to some underappreciated West Coast talent on GNX. Lefty Gunplay, Dody6, Wallie the Sensei, and Hitta J3 are just a few. But there’s one in particular that we are focusing on today who wasn’t listed. AzChike is getting the HNHH spotlight shone on him this weekend thanks to “Love Yo Weapons.” It’s his newest single, and first solo release since May. The Los Angeles native really shined next to K. Dot on the eerie and intimidating “peekaboo,” trading some lines in an engaging performance. He’s equally so on this track, as he raps about the dangerous street life out West, life’s tests, and protecting your own.

Whether or not this lands on a project remains to be seen. AzChike has already dropped off three in 2024, including CHIZZLE, Spooky Summer, and Don’t Die Yet, with the latter being a collab tape with Low the Great. The production on “Love Yo Weapons” is another high-quality aspect of this track, though. It contains a woozy saxophone loop that pops in at various points throughout. Additionally, it’s got that West Coast bounce that you come to expect. If the effectiveness of this record is surprising to you, we want to remind you he’s been doing this for a while. He’s been in the business for about six years and has some solid cuts under his belt. Chike Different, his 2022 tape, features a great deal of his biggest songs. So, him getting the love from Lamar is great, but he would be doing just fine without the nod.

Bad Bunny Previews His Next Album With Dance Floor Ready “EL CLúb”

There really isn’t anyone bigger in his respective genre than Bad Bunny right now. The Puerto Rican native has been producing hit after hit for about eight years now. No matter when or what he drops, his tracks and projects always seem to do respectable to massive numbers. His latest single, “EL CLúb,” is already becoming another smash, with over 2.1 million views on YouTube. That’s good for the number six overall spot in trending for music. This is Benito’s second single of 2024, and it follows the release of “Una Velita” back in September. It was a pretty somber release focusing on life’s sometimes unrelenting wave of obstacles and how difficult it can be to overcome them.

Somewhat conversely, “EL CLúb,” is aptly titled for where it will see a lot of success (the nightclub). However, it’s still a pretty sad track if you know how to read Spanish or translate the lyrics to your native language. Bad Bunny is struggling with the loss of a former partner, and he’s at the club trying to cope with his nagging emotions. Based how the verses are being presented, it sounds like he’s having a heated conversation with this woman, and she rips into Benito for not being what she had hoped. It’s a banger though, as it blends reggaeton, edm, and house in an effective and trippy way. It’s also the lead single for a 2025 album, currently abbreviated as DTmF.
