Offset’s New Album Is Finished

Offset recently took to social media to celebrate the completion of his new solo album. The album follows his LP Father Of 4, which he released back in 2019. “Albummmmmmm!!!!!! Turned in!!!!!!!” he wrote on Twitter today. By the looks of the comments section, fans are looking forward to his latest project, which is expected to arrive in the next couple of months.

Earlier this month, he gave supporters an update on the album’s progress in an interview with Apple Music 1. “Yeah, we’re coming in October but right now we’re just applying pressure. Creatively, content-wise, I’m going to just keep my rollout going,” he shared. The performer continued, “The rollout started from ‘Jealousy,’ so I’m going to just keep the rollout starting from right then. So with this album, I’m definitely going to be showing way more personality, way more of who Offset is, creatively.”

Offset Celebrates Turning New Album In

Offset dropped “Jealousy” alongside his partner Cardi B back in July. The track takes aim at haters, particularly calling out those who’ve had a lot to say about their relationship. They even managed to snag Jamie Lee Curtis for the accompanying music video, who Offset calls “the GOAT.” He recently told Ebro that all it took to get her in the video was a DM. Aside from the mother of his children, Offset’s new album is also set to feature Travis Scott, Latto, Future, and more.

In May, Offset also revealed that the new project features the last song he ever recorded with his late Migos groupmate Takeoff. “This is me going full-fledged into my solo career,” he said of the upcoming project. “The objective is to do it fully and smash sh*t and f**k the game up as a solo artist. I’m coming through, bustin’ through the door. It’s all set, my next chapter. It’s my time.” Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Offset.

Victoria Monet & Fridayy’s New Releases Are An “R&B Season” Mood

We’re not quite ready to say goodbye to summer yet, but what makes the transition into fall and winter so much easier each year is knowing that our R&B Season playlist will carry us through. Last weekend we heard from Usher, Ciara, Lil Baby, and many more on our weekly update. Today (August 27), it’s a collaboration from Brent Faiyaz and Coco Jones, “Moment Of Your Life” taking the top spot as music lovers praise the two talented vocalists for their work on the song.

In terms of new albums, Victoria Monet gave us arguably one of the biggest releases of the week with JAGUAR II. She connected with acts like Lucky Daye and Buju Banton across the 11-song tracklist, but for R&B Season, we’ve selected her solo effort, “Alright” for your streaming consideration. Following that comes “ZOOMIES” from Jordan Ward’s moreward(FORWARD) project, as well as “Stand By Me” from Fridayy’s debut album.

HNHH R&B Season Playlist

The “GOD DID” collaborator caught our attention with “Stand By Me,” which he dropped an accompanying music video for earlier this weekend. Elsewhere on his new LP we hear from Adekunle Gold on “Done For Me” and Chris Brown on “Don’t Give It Away.” Drake may not have delivered his For All The Dogs album as we speculated he would, but still, his new OVO artist Naomi Sharon is holding things down for the label with her “Definition of Love” track.

Our final pick of the week comes from another rising female vocalist, Chxrry22, who’s also backed by one of the biggest names out of Canada, The Weeknd. She shared “More” with us this New Music Friday, and we can’t wait to hear what she has to offer us in the future. Stream all of the latest additions to our R&B Season playlist exclusively on Spotify. Are there any new arrivals that you think we missed? Let us know in the comments, and click the link below for more HNHH release recommendations on our weekly Fire Emoji update.

BONES Releases Single-Driven Project “BasketCase”

Michigan-born rapper and crooner BONES is back to feed fans more new music. His third album of 2023, BasketCase is out now on all streaming platforms. You can check out the Apple Music and Spotify links below to give it a spin. The rapper is known for his unique blends of trap metal, horrorcore, cloud rap, and trap rap. BONES brings that in full force once again, so fans should be happy about that.

The album consists of 14 tracks. However, the majority of the project is single-heavy. Furthermore, with half of the LP out within a week or so before the release, there is not a whole lot of new material here. But, die-hard fans of BONES are used to the artists’ urge to release tons of music in a short time. Some of the best cuts to check out are “94” and “FreakyFriday.”

BONES Might Have Had A Theme For The Rollout

Then, the third single “94” released on August 20th, with contains an intro by BONES’ child. Do you notice the pattern here? Allegedly, BONES followed a certain 24-hour trend up until the day before the album’s release, giving his fans a taste of what to expect on BasketCase. Do you think that is a smart strategy to put out so much material before the full length?

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new project from BONES called BasketCase? Do you enjoy his constant release of new music, or would you rather him drop less often? Digga D’s Fourth Album “Back To Square One” Is Here

UK rising rap phenom Digga D returns with another new project for the fans who have been riding with him. Back To Square One is a 15-song 39-minute-long offering that provides plenty of solid tracks throughout. The genres dabbled in here include UK drill, British hip-hop, and elements of trap. Only two features appear on Digga D’s latest effort with Potter Payper rapping on Facade. Then, M Huncho is a feature on song eight called “Baby Mums Crib.”

The opening title “Fighting For My Soul” is one of the best moments here, setting up the album for the rest of the way. One of the best sequences of bars comes from the first verse where Digga D raps, So, I’m mindful when I talk, ’cause if not, they’ll cancel me to be spiteful, it’s all a cycle / My head’s chipped, so I smoke my weed -ital / Need a break from prison like Michael / It’s all about survival, ask my rival / Shoot on arrival, make his destination final.” There is other quality here such as the most popular track “Energy” with over 26 million streams.

Digga D Explains The Meaning Behind The Project

I’m also going back home to Powis [Square] in West London, where I’m from. A lot has changed for me as I’ve grown up and learned different things, and I have more faith now. Not that I never had any before, but I feel like I’m more in tune with myself now, and you can hear it.” Digga certainly sounds like he has a new mindset here and its prevalent from the start.

Cash Cobain Links With Chow Lee Again On “Rump”

Frequent collaborators Cash Cobain and Chow Lee pair up for a night of hedonism and debauchery on their new joint single. The song is called “Rump,” and if you are not familiar with the slang, rump means someone’s behind. It usually refers to the women and that is certainly the case here. Lee and Cobain are no strangers as we mentioned above. The duo has a collective effort called 2 SLIZZY 2 SEXY, which was released back in 2022.

Cobain has spoken with Rolling Stone and Pitchfork about his musical style. “My music is about ho-ing, I just love being a ho.” The Bronx native loves to combine drill and jersey club music, making for melodic tales about heading to the club in search of his next partner for the night. “Rump” signifies this model with a woozy instrumental that has looping background vocals and a repetitive bass line.

Cash Cobain Pairs “Rump” With Music Video

The visuals for the music video, while typical for a song like this, are stylized in a cool way. The color scheme is a lot of green and black, which adds to the hazy-like qualities of “Rump.” What is also interesting are the outfits of Cobain and Lee. Cobain’s shirt is based on the collab album 2 SLIZZY 2 SEXY while Lee’s is straight-up funny. The text on his shirt reads, “GIRLS C**M FIRST” with an exclamation mark with a heart shape. Overall, the fans like the music video and the song saying, “This the greatest music video I’ve ever seen” and “Cash and Chow taking over this game.”

Real Bad Man Brings On Blu And C.L. Smooth For “The Golden Rule”

Who knew a part street clothing company also produced fire beats? Well, that is exactly who Real Bad Man is, as they have just come out with a terrific new single. This collaboration features lyrical geniuses Blu and C.L. Smooth. It is the ultimate conscious hip-hop track with a stellar but simple beat with a nice guitar riff loop, piano, and drum pattern. However, the production takes a slight but noticeable change when Smooth’s verse begins.

In addition, the song does not overstay its welcome either. At just under three minutes both MCs fill out the runtime with ease. The chorus is also extremely catchy and just as hard-hitting as the bars. The refrain is first performed by Blu and then Smooth teams up with him for the final one. “Knock ’em out for the count, count one to ten / Soon as the bout begins, the bout ends / And we ’bout to take you out for another win.” Furthermore, it includes a ringing bell as you would when watching a boxing match, adding a nice effect to it.

Peezy And Key Glock Come Through With “No Amiris”

Key Glock and Peezy are an unfamiliar combination but they complement each other perfectly on this new track. Detroit and Memphis collide for straight heat on “No Amiris,” a song about having the money and being the man of the city, which fits right into these artists’ wheelhouses. CHASETHEMONEY is responsible for the hard-hitting production here. He has worked with the likes of IDK, Yeat, Ski Mask the Slump God, and more.

The beat is sinister with twinkling but creepy piano keys and rattling hi-hats. Both provide aggressive and entertaining lyrics to couple with the beat’s tone. Overall, Peezy and Key Glock have solid chemistry on the track and fans seem to be loving what they are hearing so far. They also put out a music video for “No Amiris.”

Kanye West’s New Album Is “Imminent,” Sources Claim

Recently, two sources reportedly told NBC News that Kanye West has a new album on the way. They say he’s been working on it over the summer. According to the outlet, one of the sources worked alongside the artist in the studio. They claim they were able to give it a listen alongside Ye’s “wife,” Bianca Censori. The other source is said to have a close relationship with the controversial musician, claiming that “New music is imminent.” They additionally noted that they aren’t sure what platforms Ye will be dropping the album on.

The sources remain unknown, and their reason for going to NBC of all outlets is unclear. With that being said, these are far from the first reports of Ye’s plan to drop new music in the near future. Earlier this month, a leaker shared some new info about the artist’s alleged release plan. According to reports, the album rollout could begin as soon as October, and features previously unreleased tracks from different points in Ye’s career.

Sources Say Ye Is Working On New Music

The leak went on to describe the new album as a mixture of The Life Of Pablo and The College Dropout. Additionally, it’s been reported that the new project features some “controversial but not antisemitic mentions of Jewish people.” At the beginning of August, a producer also claimed that Ye’s been working on a new album, calling his new material “Old Ye but new with the times.” He said that the artist was working on it at his birthday bash back in June.

Though there’s little confirmed information about the project available, it’s clear that Ye’s fans look forward to his next release. On the other hand, the artist has managed to lose a good chunk of his fanbase amid his antics over the last year or so. He’s famously made some antisemitic comments, which has raised some concern among listeners and peers. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Kanye West.
