Kanye West’s New Album Gets DeRay Davis’ Praise Almost 20 Years After Their Collabs

While the fate of Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s new collab album Vultures is unclear, we’ve at least heard what they want to include on it. Moreover, they recently hosted a listening party in Miami for it that was unsurprisingly late, star-studded, controversial, and showed great potential in some tracks… but without a lot of polish. Still, none of these are issues for Ye’s former collaborator, actor and comedian DeRay Davis. TMZ recently caught up with him at the LAX airport, and they asked him what he thought of the show, which he was returning from.

Furthermore, Davis remarked that Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign came through with a great project– at least, what they played during this latest “rave.” He said that his experience wasn’t like what many folks saw online, as he was much closer than many videos of it. For example, the actor posited that the black KKK hood that the Chicago rapper wore looked more like an executioner’s mask than anything else. If you thought that was the only thing he would say on his antics… then we have some bad news for you.

DeRay Davis Speaks On Kanye West’s Vultures: Watch

In addition, DeRay Davis expressed his belief that folks are making too big of a deal about Kanye West’s “Jewish b***h” bar on the album’s title track. According to him, the other songs and guest performances are too good to focus on just one bad line. Davis also identified Vultures as somewhere between “the old Kanye” with some 808s & Heartbreak thrown in there, and had heavy praise for Kodak Black, Ty Dolla $ign, and North West’s guest verses– particularly North’s surprise addition.

For those unaware, Davis worked with Kanye in the past as the voice on many of his skits on The College Dropout and Late Registration. His impression of the Chi’s own Bernie Mac and his leadership of Broke Phi Broke are among many iconic moments on these classic records. As such, this support is by no means surprising, but also ironic considering that said moments are so far removed from this album’s identity… and quality. Rowdy Rebel And Skilla Baby Are Balling Like Memphis Basketball Star Ja “Morant”

Rowdy Rebel seems to be a pretty patient artist compared to most nowadays. A lot of the rappers who have been in the game as long as he has, tend to drop very frequently. The opposite can be said about Rowdy. Although, he has been picking it up a bit over the past year or so.

He has dropped three projects, with one of them being a collaborative record. This past Friday, December 8, the Brooklyn product came through with one last hoorah before 2024 comes around. Back Outside boasts features from Skilla Baby, Fivio Foreign, Fetty Luciano, and Icewear Vezzo. One track we want to highlight is “Morant.”

Night Lovell And ZillaKami Feel Their Lives Are Not Worth Living On “LIFE SUCKS SO WE F***”

Canadian rapper Night Lovell is a rapper who fits into the mold of blending genres. He likes to mix elements of horrorcore, metal, rock, trap, and emo rap, all into one. That is why it makes sense for him to work with artists who like to experiment similarly. ZillaKami happens to be one of those artists and he lands on this project.

Lovell came through this past weekend with his new album, I HOPE YOU’RE HAPPY. It is a concise tape with just 12 tracks that does not even reach 30 minutes in length. One of the songs that is getting some buzz is “LIFE SUCKS SO WE F***.” It is a song that shows both rappers reflecting on who they want to be.

Another idea it touches on is that female attention. Even though they are enjoying it, presumably in the form of one-night stands or situationships, it brings some self-reflection. In the lyrics provided below, Lovell says, “I control my life, but I know this ain’t what it’s meant to be (Meant).” On the surface, it might sound like a rage track with little to no substance, but the lyrics prove otherwise.

What are your initial thoughts on this new song, “LIFE SUCKS SO WE F***,” by Night Lovell and ZillaKami? Is this the best track from Lovell’s newest record, I HOPE YOU’RE HAPPY? Lil Reese Follows Up “Demon Time” Special Editions With Solo Effort “Ask About Me”

Lil Reese has not had the easiest life. Part of the reason for that is due to the fact that some of it was self-inflicted. For example, earlier this year, the Chicago rapper was released from prison after assault charges. Additionally, he faced a misdemeanor charge of aggravated assault against a family member last May. Furthermor, the prison records revealed two more felonies and an additional misdemeanor.

While he is not perfect, Reese is trying to better himself and get back into releasing music. Today, he has returned with a full-length project before the end of the year. Ask About Me is a follow-up to his 2022 tape, Demon Time. Before this new effort, two extra editions of the latter were put out too. One of them was an instrumental version and then a chopped and screwed take on it.

What these past two projects share in common are the production credits. There is a Detroit up-and-coming beatmaker by the name of ATG Productions. One of the best elements of Reese’s tapes have been the instrumentals. The bassy and grimy trap tinges compliment the rapper’s equally gritty delivery. You can check out the tape above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new album, Ask About Me, by Lil Reese? Which songs are you gravitating toward the most after first listen? Where does this album rank amongst the rest of his discography? Do you prefer solo LPs, or ones with features? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Nicki Minaj Preaches Self-Worth On “Love Me Enough” With Monica And Keyshia Cole

Nicki Minaj is taking an extra long victory lap with her latest album release, Pink Friday 2. Even after a few days of the project being out the Queen of New York is giving her Barbz more to chew on. Just yesterday, she put out the first of the D2C versions. These are going to be special editions that include one new track and an alternate cover art.

If you go to her website here you can purchase the digital copy of the D2C edition for a limited time. However, you can still get any of the alternate cover arts on vinyl. It seems that each D2C digital version is available until the next one comes out. For example, yesterday Nicki put out the D2C Version 1 with the remix of “Beep Beep” with 50 Cent. However, that digital copy is not available anymore as Version 2 is now in its place.

The song that coincides with this unique copy is “Love Me Enough.” It features two of the female R&B powerhouses from the 2000s, Monica and Keyshia Cole. This is the ultimate women empowerment song that urges them to love themselves, even if they are alone. Both singers booming vocals add to the energy the record is giving off and it seems like it could have been one to make the original release of PF2. Also, each of these D2C tracks are only available on Nicki’s website.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new song, “Love Me Enough,” by Nicki Minaj, Monica, and Keyshia Cole? Is this the better of the two bonus tracks that have been put out? Do you think this track should have made the final cut of the original version? If so which song should be cut from the tracklist? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Megan Thee Stallion Inks Distribution Deal With Warner Music Group: Report

Megan Thee Stallion has reportedly agreed on a distribution deal with Warner Music Group, according to Billboard. The move comes after she was able to reach a confidential settlement with her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, after years of legal disputes with the company.

Under the new contract, Megan will likely retain ownership of her masters, as is usual for deals of its kind. The more favorable deal represents increased leverage for Megan as she becomes a bigger artist.

Megan previously discussed her excitement about being an independent artist back in October on Instagram Live. “This part of my album is very much so funded by Megan because we’re trying to get off… Y’all know what’s the tea. But I have no label right now,” she said at the time. “And we’re doing everything funded straight out of Megan Thee Stallion’s pockets. So, the budget is coming from me. Motherf*cking Hot Girl Productions! The next sh*t y’all about to see is all straight from Megan’s brain and Megan Thee Stallion’s wallet. We are in my pockets, hotties, so let’s do our big one.

She added: “I’m so excited to be doing something for the first time independent since it was just me and my mama. So excited ’cause it’s really just me this go-round until we sign to a new label. But I don’t want to sign to a new label right now because I just want to do it myself… So hotties, do your f**king big one ’cause it’s just us.” While Megan hasn’t provided many updates in the time since, perhaps this new deal will spark the beginning of more news on her third studio album. Be on the lookout for further updates on new music from Megan on HotNewHipHop.

Kanye West Wears Black KKK Mask While Previewing “Vultures” Tracks With North West, Lil Baby, & Freddie Gibbs

Kanye West is easily one of the biggest artists in the entire world and while most people aren’t big on him right now, that could change very soon. Despite his controversies, new albums typically get fans excited. Overall, this is not a great reflection on society, but we digress. Right now, Ye is in the midst of his rollout for the new album Vultures. This is a project that fans have been excited about for quite some time now. Furthermore, it is a collaborative project with Ty Dolla $ign which makes it that much more exciting, at least potentially.

Last night, West had a massive listening party in Miami for Art Basel. This is something that fans had been anticipating ever since Ye made his way to the city. Ultimately, the listening party did, in fact, happen last night. Consequently, a ton of fans showed up and Ye put on a show. As you will see in the videos below, Ye brought out a ton of guests. For instance, you could find Freddie Gibbs, Lil Baby, and even North West there. As it turns out, they all have features on the upcoming album.

Kanye West Drops Friday

As for West’s attire, there was one point where he could be seen wearing a black KKK mask. Overall, this imagery is fairly jarring although it is par for the course with some of the things he has been doing as of late. As for the features themselves, the idea of Freddie Gibbs on a Ye album is most definitely exciting. It is going to be interesting to hear this song in its entirety on Friday. However, as some fans pointed out, there were songs that sounded unfinished, which means some delays could be on the horizon.

Only time will tell whether or not the album ends up dropping as promised. If it doesn’t, then Ye will have a lot to answer for. No matter what, this is a unique rollout that fans are curious about. Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always keep you informed.

6ix9ine Promises Fans He’ll Drop A New Album Very Soon

It’s been a turbulent few months for 6ix9ine. Back in October, he was arrested for assault during an incident that involved some other music producers at a studio in the Dominican Republic. Videos of his arrest and the mobs of fans both outside the studio and waiting for him at the jail began to make the rounds online immediately. Those fans eventually turned to protestors when massive chants emerged in the following days calling for the rapper’s release.

Thankfully for 6ix9ine, it didn’t take long to get him out. But unfortunately, he may have to stay in the Dominican Republic for longer than expected as the terms of his release require him to spend 6 more months in the country. According to various videos online, it seems like the rapper is mobbed by fans almost anywhere he goes in the country. Despite some of the turmoil in his life though, he continues to release new music. In the caption of a photo he shared to Instagram overnight, he let fans know when they can expect a new album.

6ix9ine Could Drop A New Album This Year

I’m gonna give you guys maybe one more project before the year end or early next year. And that’s only to prove that this industry is a joke,” 6ix9ine’s new Instagram post begins. “I’ve always been the best and will continue to be the best. Look at it in simple terms life was so much better when I was on the internet everyday putting music out. Music is not the same and it’s been corny because you have Lames running the game and deciding what’s “culture” I once fell in love with what I did but noticed the game is for politics and who’s the best ass kisser,” he concludes.

Earlier this year 6ix9ine shared his new album, Leyenda Viva. The project was controversial among his fans because it shifted his style from rap to Latin music and reggaeton. What do you think of 6ix9ine promising fans he will drop a new album this year or early next year? Let us know in the comment section below.

Lil Baby Confirms He’s “Finishing Up” New Album

Lil Baby’s last album It’s Only Me, dropped last year in October. The record continues to get plenty of attention and two of its tracks have surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. But Baby is already looking forward to 2024 when he’s expected to release a new album. He recently took to Instagram to update fans on what his life has been like, including a pretty significant update on how the new album is coming along.

“Don’t Mind Me I’m Just Living Finishing Up The Album,” Lil Baby captioned a post that featured a compilation of recent pics of what he’s been up to. He concludes the compilation with a short snippet of unreleased music to tease fans with the sound of the new record. In the comments, fans express their excitement for a potential new album from Baby and encourage him to release it sooner rather than later. “Yea we know, make it quick. The streets been waiting,” one of the top comments reads. Check out the new post and snippet below.

Lil Baby Updates Fans On New Album

Whenever Lil Baby releases a new album it’s a major event. His last two albums have hit number one on the Billboard 200 and both are packed full of major features. Nardo Wick, Young Thug, Future, and many more appear on It’s Only Me. While Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Wayne all pop up on its predecessor My Turn.

Lil Baby has been caught up in some pretty notable drama in the past few months. Back in October, a rather brief interaction he had with Chrisean Rock got him involved in Rock’s indefinitely ongoing beef with Blueface. A month before that there was a shooting during one of Baby’s shows in Memphis. The shooting resulted in a fan being hospitalized. Some videos of the fan shared from his hospital bed made the rounds online in the days following the shooting. What do you think of Lil Baby revealing that he’s finishing up his new album? Let us know in the comment section below.
