Fans of Playboi Carti are selling grass that is visible in the music video for “2024” on eBay. User K1ertt kicked off the bidding on Sunday. While the price began at $27, the highest bid is all the way up to $10,200. As of Tuesday afternoon, 19 fans have put forth bids on the grass. The bidding will officially close on December 27. 

A description for the grass on eBay reads: “Are you tired of your boring old lawn? Upgrade to the VIP level with the one and only grass from a Playboi Carti music shot right here in Atlanta! Located at the Brookhaven Valero. This isn’t your average turf – it’s been blessed by Carti’s vibes, making it the most hype grass on the market. Imagine the street cred your front yard will gain!”

Just this past weekend he finally ended the drought by coming through with a 17-track offering. For example, “Khartoum” focuses on the issues going down in the Middle East which have taken tens of thousands of lives.

E-40 had some major props for NBA YoungBoy while speaking about the Baton Rouge rapper during a recent interview with Billboard. Discussing their collaboration, “Get My Life Right,” the legendary Bay Area native described YoungBoy as an “old soul.”

“He’s an old soul,” E-40 said to the outlet. “He’s been there before. That’s a deep, young man. I always liked him. Birdman hit me one day and was like, ‘Hey, YoungBoy wants you on one of his songs.’ He sent it to me, we connected, and I knocked out one for his album.”

Later in the interview, E-40 also spoke about his relationship with Nipsey Hussle. In doing so, he revealed that he was initially set to appear on the rapper’s Victory Lap track, “Grinding All My Life,” but he couldn’t get the verse submitted in time. “He didn’t tell me when he needed it back,” E-40 recalled. “Next thing you know, I was like, ‘Oh man. This one of them ones too.’ Sometimes I’ll say, ‘When you need it back?’ We didn’t even discuss it. He just sent it. Next thing you know, he put a ticket to the face. I was like, ‘Damn.’ But, man, I miss Nipsey. He was really a good dude. He always showed me respect. He really patterned his hustle after mine. I really miss him and I think he would have really made an impact in rap right now if he was still living.”

Given how long its been since Playboi Carti last released new music fans are dying for just about any news on what he’s up to. Over the weekend he appeared to be hitting the studio but somehow that may not even be the most exciting part. A screenshot from Carti in the studio is more than enough to get fans buzzing, but the picture he shared also included pop star and former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello. Cabello is no stranger to working with rappers as two of her biggest hits include “Havana” with Young Thug and “My Oh My” with DaBaby.

It isn’t clear exactly how much recording the pair got up to, but that isn’t what many fans were focusing on. In one picture shared of the two, Carti captions it “baby girl” sparking rumors about whether there could be more going on between them. Camila has been subject to dating rumors a few times this year. Most notably she was briefly rumored to be Latin star Rauw Alejandro’s new girl after his engagement to Rosalia was called off. Long Beach, California is where the rap outfit Horseshoe G.A.N.G. calls home. They have been delivering albums and mixtapes for a little over a decade now. To be exact, things got going for them in 2009 with their Circle of Bosses project. These guys thrive in the underground scene and are known for their fun lyrical abilities.

A couple of years ago Horseshoe G.A.N.G came out with an Eminem-inspired album, SHADY PAST. It made its way onto Apple Music in 2021 and if you listen to the songs you will notice something. A lot of the titles are reminiscent of Slim Shady’s most iconic tracks. However, that is not the only similar aspect of it.

Hit-Boy Reflects On Working With Big Hit: “I Couldn’t Be More Proud”

Hit-Boy shared an emotionally candid post on Instagram, Saturday, celebrating the release of his collaborative project with his father, Big Hit, titled, The Truth is in My Eyes. In doing so, he reflected on growing up with the dream of being a musician.

“Being in elementary school telling people me and my dad were gonna make music together one day when he’s back out on the streets,” he captioned an Instagram post. “Over the years we have had points where he touched down for a second maybe a few months MAX and we started recording and making some progress. Then he’d let the streets win and he’d end up right back in the cell for years at a time.”

Big Hit, Hit-Boy & Benny The Butcher Are “Speaking In Codes” On Fiery New Song

Big Hit just dropped his debut album The Truth Is In My Eyes, a 17-track offering executive-produced by his son, Hit-Boy. Moreover, it’s a lavish, hardened, compelling, and above all engaging project with a lot of heart, grit, and palpable emotion behind it. Of course, it’s also a stellar hip-hop offering with biting lyricism, some clever wordplay, and honest, vulnerable reflections on many tough topics. As far as highlights, though, one particular track really captured our ear and holds some of the catchiest and most impactful material. Furthermore, Hit seeks assistance from none other than Benny The Butcher on the track “Speaking In Codes.”

Both of them have dexterous and hard-hitting verses about street life, the escape from it, and their place within the rap game. In addition, the beat that they ride over has a lot of classic rap embellishments to it, like the crisp, mid-temp, yet soulfully trap-inspired drums, plus some gorgeous instrumental samples like shimmering keys. However, we can’t talk about The Truth Is In My Eyes without mentioning some other guests on here. Snoop Dogg offers Big Hit some words of advice on “Shoppin’ Monster,” and others include The Alchemist, Mozzy, and Jay Worthy. But what makes “Speaking In Codes” so special is just how relentless each MC is on here, and that makes it a thrilling ride from start to finish.
