Brent Faiyaz Drops “Wasteland” Chopped Not Slopped

It would be an understatement to say that Brent Faiyaz has been busy. The dude has been working overtime. From announcing a new world tour for his sophomore album Wasteland to partnering with Steve Stout and creating a creative agency that acts as a hub for all his independent work, Brent’s got his foot on the gas. Not only that, today, anonymous DJ/producer Marshmello tapped Brent Faiyaz for a new single. It’s been the first taste of music from the toxic R&B star since dropping his album.

However, Brent’s not done just yet. As if he didn’t have enough momentum, the F*ck The World artist dropped another Chopped Not Slopped rendition of his new album. Wow, a new single, and a chopped n’ screwed version of Wasteland, Brent Faiyaz is kicking things off with a bang for his tour. This is the second time that Faiyaz has collaborated with DJ Candlestick who has an affinity for the Houston chopped n’ screwed style. Candlestick added his personal touch to the R&B star’s new album and his 2020 tape F*ck The World.

Brent Faiyaz Drops “Wasteland” Chopped n’ Screwed Version

Regardless, both tapes are phenomenal, Brent Faiyaz and DJ Candlestick created something dope with these two albums. Not only that the “ChopNotSlop” remixes are all incredibly unique yet familiar. DJ Candlestick does an amazing job setting a scene of a completely comatose feeling throughout each song. It’s as if he poured cough syrup all over the album. However, Brent’s songs still sound as good as the originals, with just a little bit of Houston flavor added.

It’s no surprise when Brent Faiyaz dropped the news that he was hitting the road, fans went into a frenzy. Tickets go on sale today, hopefully, they haven’t already sold out. The first leg of the tour kicks off in July, just in time for the summer, and ends in the fall in Europe. Moreover, with the new single out, along with the release of his remixed sophomore album, Brent’s gonna have a good chunk of music to pick from for the tour. Let us know if you’ve given the album a listen. Have you peeped the new single? Drop a comment below!

IDK Drops Long-Awaited Album “F65”

After fans have patiently waited, Maryland rapper IDK has finally released his fourth studio album F65. However, according to Genius, IDK would say this is his tenth album. Moreover, this project touches on many touches regarding race, life, and African-American history. While each track has influences of smooth jazz that one gets lost in, IDK does a great job ensuring the message shines. Although, the rapper has been “ignorantly delivering knowledge” this effort is far from ignorant.

Furthermore, prior to the record’s release, IDK had quite an extensive roll-out that garnered much hype from his fans. Not only that the Maryland rhymer has a solid list of well received that even celebs like the Weeknd rave about his music. Last year he released an EP titled Simple that was short and sweet but packed a punch. The standout track “Dogfood” featuring Denzel Curry, landed on the Weeknd’s radar prompting him to post it on his Instagram. Additionally, this time around, IDK does nothing short of delivering with his new project.

IDK Drops “F65”

IDK paints an F1 racing scenery over beautiful snappy jazz beats that leave you pleasantly surprised. Not only that, the album has a lot of skits that give a spoken word in a speakeasy type of feel. IDK puts a lot of thought into his music, to the point where you don’t know who he’s going to work with. Henceforth, F65 has a lot of great moments from IDK’s guest verses. Surprisingly the musical chemistry between the Maryland MC and Saucy Santana on the track “Pinot Noir” is dope. The most recent single release “Salty” featuring NLE Choppa also showed the rapper’s range when it comes to working with different artists.

Moreover, according to IDK his new album is, “kinda like a matured version of SubTRAP, but I’m talking about people of color in general, not just drugs.” F65 has many great elements that take more than just one listen to catch all the nuances. However, after listening to the singles he released with the complete album, you can see the conceptualism throughout the project. What are your thoughts on IDK’s new album F65? Let the HNHH crew know what you think below!

Lil Durk Announces New Album “Almost Healed” Releasing Next Week

It’s officially Smurk season. Lil Durk just announced that his next album Almost Healed will release next week on May 12. Via Instagram, he shared the news with excited fans by sharing the cover art and release date, keeping his word. Moreover, the Chicago MC promised to do so if fans left 100K comments on a post promoting his upcoming music video with J. Cole. As such, fans responded rabidly and eventually reached the milestone, and Durk delivered just a few days later. Given just how much he teased this album’s arrival, his supporters must be ecstatic that it’s coming so soon after these updates.

Furthermore, Lil Durk said that the album was finished just a couple of weeks ago in April. However, one thing that remains to be seen is if he landed one of his dream features: SZA. “@sza the goat,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “Y’all bet not sleep or get blind. Every female every car every sale she really her… I need you on my album ASAP [trophy emoji and sunglasses emoji]. A hit not a regular song. Go tag sza blow her s**t down. Tell her Smurk need her.”

Lil Durk Announces Almost Healed

What’s more is that The Voice recently reflected on how therapy has helped him a lot in his personal life. We’ll see if such reflections find their way on Almost Healed‘s tracklist, whose title certainly points to that. “Being more open,” Lil Durk remarked on how the process has uplifted him. “Being more open to letting [my new manager] Pete [Jideonwo] in. Moving certain people out the way. That’s the best feeling. Therapy, the kids, the new team, all that. But the best feeling is really just starting over.

“I got a therapist so I cope different,” he continued. “I don’t show emotion. So, some people will be like, ‘Man, you can’t hold it in.’ And I just can’t talk to nobody usually. You gotta be careful how you tell people, what you tell people, because they can use it against you. They can find out your weaknesses. So now, when I talk to the therapist, then it start getting more emotional. But like somebody on the street, you’ll never even see me shed a tear. I think I had to go to therapy fresh out the womb.” Let us know if you’re excited for Almost Healed down in the comments below. DaBaby Drops “Call Da Fireman” EP: Listen

DaBaby is possibly one of the most problematic rappers on the scene. However, he also has a very loyal fanbase and releases good music. Is this a case where he can be separated from his art? The rapper’s legal issues began back in 2018 when he was involved in a deadly altercation in a North Carolina Walmart. This was before he had even signed to a record label. Despite initially claiming self-defense, there are now doubts about the legitimacy of his story after security footage emerged. He was also sued by a concert promoter for assault in early 2020, resulting in his arrest. Although he denied the attack, the incident was caught on video.

In March 2020, he allegedly slapped a female fan while walking to the stage for a performance. He then made homophobic comments during his Rolling Loud set in July 2021 and collaborated with Tory Lanez after Megan Thee Stallion’s shooting. In February 2022, DaBaby and his entourage attacked DaniLeigh’s brother at a bowling alley. Unfortunately, this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to DaBaby’s controversial behavior. He has yet to show remorse for most of his actions. Despite all of that, Da Baby continues to push through release music.

DaBaby Returns With Dance-Worthy EP

Now, DaBaby has returned with a new EP named Call Da Fireman. On it, DaBaby dips his toes into some dance beats. “SHAKE SUMN” is a banger that sounds like it will absolutely be playing in the club this weekend. It’s almost sure to start some sort of TikTok dance trend, as well. With the way the platform has taken off, it wouldn’t be a surprise if DaBaby made this song specifically with that in mind. “I don’t know how to dance but can lean,” he raps. “I make the ghetto b*tches put they hands on they knees.”

Call Da Fireman doesn’t have a lot of substance, but it’s a fun three-song EP. It’s definitely a good release to put out right before summer. However shady DaBaby’s past may be, his ability to create catchy tracks is undeniable. What do you think of the rapper’s new EP? Let us know in the comments below!

Tracklist:

  1. SHAKE SUMN
  2. GHETTO GIRLS>>>>
  3. SELLIN CRACK (Feat. Offset)

Conway The Machine Drops New Album, “WON’T HE DO IT”

In many ways, Conway The Machine can be considered one of the top-tier rappers on the scene. He is a frequent collaborator of Benny The Butcher and Westside Gunn, both of which are close family members. However, he has been seeing great success with his solo releases. Slowly but surely, Conway improves his skillset with every release. Last week, the rapper released a new single from his album. The single, “The Chosen,” features fellow rapper Jae Skeese.

The song immediately catches the attention of listeners with its great production. Conway The Machine has always had a great ear for beats, and this is evident in the track. Along with the song, Conway dropped a visualizer for the track. It features the rapper at a photo shoot. It was an odd but interesting video, compiling a long series of pictures into a video. In the end, it almost looks like a video that has simply had many of its frames removed. Now, Conway has returned with a new studio album, WON’T HE DO IT.

Conway Has A Lot On His Mind

Conway The Machine’s new album is the rapper’s best yet. As always, his beat selection is on point, with each song matching perfectly complementing his classic flow. The old-school sounds featured in many of the tracks are exactly the type of return to form that hip-hop needs. This is not the album where you save a few songs and forget the rest. This is the kind of album you sit down and listen to in full.

For those more single-song inclined, however, there are some standouts. In particular, the title track is a perfect representation of the album’s sound and vibe. On it, Conway raps about what’s on his mind and how he feels like his kindness is taken advantage of. “Got a bunch of sh*t on my mind lately / Got so much good in my heart it’s like why hate me,” the rapper says. “Go out my way for these n*ggas they still violate me.” Along with the album, Conway released a new visualizer for the title track. What do you think of the new album? Let us know in the comments!

Kid Cudi Says Maybe To “The Scotts” Album

Kid Cudi is a staple of the rap game and it’s no debate. From creating one of the best album series to date with Man On The Moon to doing collab albums with one of the greats, the dude’s resume is stacked. Moreover, Cudi has ushered in so many new waves and sounds when it comes to making music. Nobody belts out a good hum like Kid Cudi. Not only that, Cudder has influenced a ton of your favorite artists today.

Artists such as Playboi Carti (still need Pissy Pamper), Schoolboy Q, and Travis Scott have sung Kid Cudi’s praises musically. Many have attested that his influence is directly in their music. The vulnerability and honesty within Cud’s discography are what draw many to his music to this day. Schoolboy Q said in an interview that it was Kid Cudi that “broke the barrier for weird people like me.” Not only that, a lot of artists have been influenced by the Indicud rhymer that they’ve even made songs with him.

Kid Cudi Might Be Down For A Travis Scott Collab Tape

Furthermore, Kid Cudi’s feature run is one of the elites (go listen to “Remote Control Part 2”). The Cleveland native’s influence runs deep throughout the rap game. From the Trippie Redds of the world to the Travis Scott’s there’s always a piece of Kid Cudi somewhere. Recently, Cudder has been busy acting, doing shows, and even writing an autobiography. However, it appears the rap icon will be adding more to his already full plate.

On stage at a show, Kid Cudi asked the fans if they were still down for a collaboration tape with Travis Scott. He asked, “How bad do y’all want The Scotts album?” Cudi finished his statement with a simple, “Maybe, maybe.” While the announcement isn’t fully a confirmed yes, it’s still exciting to know the project might still be on the table. The last time these two got together was during heat of the pandemic with there single “The Scotts.” After three years, Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi) is entertaining the idea of cooking up with La Flame once more. Let us know what you think of the possible The Scotts album dropping below!

Zaytoven Reveals “Beast Mode 3” With Future Is On The Way

It looks like the Met Gala isn’t the only exciting thing happening today. Moreover, Zaytoven just took to Twitter to drop a trailer for the third installment in his collaborative album series with Future, Beast Mode 3. During the trailer, both Zay and Hendrix talk about the sound that they helped popularize, their work ethic, and what it means to go “beast mode.” Not only that, but the duo’s next album’s trailer also features a few other figures in the rap game through brief appearances. For example, in a surprising but welcome link-up, Tyler, The Creator gives Future some words of admiration near the clip’s end.

Of course, fans took this trailer with a grain of salt, as Zaytoven originally teased Beast Mode 3 back in September of 2019. However, with a trailer to boot, many hope that this official push means the album is finally coming soon. In addition, the producer also quote-tweeted a post from Lyrical Lemonade asking what the best album of the year was so far. In that message, he dismissed the competition and said that his next project with Future will dominate. “No way 2023 Is this dry…” he remarked of the highlighted albums. These included Don Toliver’s Love Sick, Yeat’s AftërLyfe, Jack Harlow’s Jackman, and Lil Yachty’s Let’s Start Here. “Wait till my shit drop… [bald eagle emoji] x [piano emoji] 3 OTW.”

Future’s Beast Mode 3 Coming Soon

To elaborate, fans also raised eyebrows just because of how many projects Future’s rumored to be involved in. For example, another prominent producer that teased a joint tape with the “Superhero” MC is Metro Boomin, who also said they will release it this year. Still, Pluto is quite the prolific artist and often tapped his closest production collaborators for full-length work together. As such, Zaytoven is just fanning the flames of speculation, but the trailer gave fans a lot of confidence in Zay.

Meanwhile, Zaytoven recently sold his music catalog and hinted at new music on the way. With that in mind, his promise of Beast Mode 3 is that much more believable. Hopefully these two Atlanta giants feed fans once again sooner rather than later. With that in mind, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Zaytoven, Future, and Beast Mode 3.

Zaytoven Teases Beast Mode 3 With Boisterous Claim
