Mariah The Scientist Brings On Young Thug, 21 Savage And More For “To Be Eaten Alive”

Atlanta, Georgia singer and songwriter, Mariah the Scientist is in a relationship with Young Thug. However, R&B fans know there is more than just that to her. She is an extremely talented and gifted voice in the space. She is proving that once again on her third project, To Be Eaten Alive. Believe it or not, the rollout for this project began almost a year ago to the day. The first single “Bout Mine,” perfectly showcases the artist’s range.

After that though, it would be quite a while before the next taster. The next track from Mariah, “From A Woman,” features more minimal production, leaving space for her higher and lower register. Then, just a couple of days prior, she put out one more song, “Different Pages.” This year-long wait brings us to a 10-song effort at just under 28 minutes.

Brent Faiyaz Returns With New Album “Larger Than Life”

In the ever-shifting landscape of the music game, where the boundaries of creativity are constantly pushed, Brent Faiyaz emerges as the undeniable icon that today’s generation craves. He returns today with a brand new project called Larger Than Life, and it definitely comes highly anticipated. In fact, his last full project was 2022’s Wasteland, which was a musical masterpiece. The album is definitely still in rotation for many R&B fans, and has 19 tracks of pure vibes. With standouts from the previous project such as “Jackie Brown” and “All Mine” and “Wasting Time,” Brent created classics that can easily be rotated into any playlist. Wasteland debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. He left the people with something to digest before coming back with a brand new project Larger Than Life.

After surprise announcing the news of a new album today in a short and simple IG message, “14 songs. Midnight,” audiences couldn’t wait to get their hands on some new Brent Faiyaz music. The caption was accompanied by a brief Instagram video lasting just one minute. The video captures a scene that’s got the streets buzzing. The footage showcases a young kid stationed outside a local corner store, selling CD mixtapes from a box. As people pass by, he calls the mixtape the hottest thing in town. Enter Brent Faiyaz, who rolls up in a sleek black truck, engaging the kid in conversation. “What it look like?” he inquires. With a grin, the kid replies, “It’s moving.” Faiyaz’s response? A piece of advice: “Up the price.”

The project spans 14 tracks long, and features two previously released singles “WY@” and “Moment Of Your Life” with Coco Jones. Overall, the album is a vibe and serves as the perfect late-night escape soundtrack. It’s nostalgic and has all the ingredients for success. The project features Faiyaz’s signature blend of raw lyricism and smooth melodies. He dives into themes of love and complicated romance. This was also seen with the singles “Moment Of Your Life,” and “WY@” which showcases how he battles with his emotions. He’s dropping gems like, “Even I know you ain’t no good for me, but you feel so good to me. Every time I come back, I try to leave. So how you end up back with me?” Faiyaz is clearly diving deep into his R&B bag this time around. Brent Faiyaz Announces Feature-Packed New Album Dropping Tonight

Last year, Brent Faiyaz released his critically acclaimed album WASTELAND. The major undertaking saw him recruiting artists like Drake, Tyler, The Creator, Alicia Keys, The Neptunes, and more. The album spawned two of his biggest hits to date “ALL MINE” and “JACKIE BROWN.” While Faiyaz has been dropping some new singles this year, most fans didn’t expect to have another new album any time soon. But earlier today Faiyaz confirmed that it’ll be here a LOT sooner than many thought.

Brent Faiyaz announced his new album LARGER THAN LIFE which drops in just a few hours. The album will feature 14 tracks, a slimming down from its 19-track predecessor. Once again he’s bringing some major features along with him. A$AP Rocky, Missy Elliott, Coco Jones, Babyface Ray, and N3WYRKLA are just some of the artists who will appear on the project. The album is also expected to include two singles that Faiyaz released earlier this year. Check out some more details on the forthcoming project below.

Brent Faiyaz Surprise Dropping Album

The first of the two singles set to appear on the album is “Moment Of Your Life” which dropped back in August. The song sees Brent teaming up with R&B singer Coco Jones whose breakthrough hit “ICU” began climbing the charts earlier this year. A month later Faiyaz dropped the second single “WY@.” The track clicked with fans immediately and has already racked up over 12 million streams on Spotify in just over a month.

One person who isn’t on the mixtape that fans might have been inspecting is Sexyy Red. Red and Faiyaz hit the studio together in between the release of the two singles. But if they worked on any music in that process it either isn’t ready for release yet or is due to end up on a later project. What do you think about Brent Faiyaz announcing a new mixtape just a day before it’s dropping? Let us know in the comment section below.

Metro Boomin’s Cryptic Reference To Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s Album Leaves Fans Speculating

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s new album is said to debut in November at a recently-announced “multi-stadium listening event.” While fans have been anxiously awaiting new details of the upcoming project, it looks like Ye’s been spending time with some of his other musician friends. Recently, he was spotted hanging out at his villa in Italy with Metro Boomin, who may or may not be assisting him with the LP.

While this is only a rumor for now, the award-winning producer compounded speculation today when he dropped a cryptic Tweet. “¥$¥$¥$,” he wrote, seemingly referencing the duo’s collaborative project. It’s safe to say that adding Metro Boomin to the mix would be a welcome surprise for fans. They’ve also joined forces in the past, so it doesn’t seem to be off the table.

Metro Boomin Posts About Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Collab

His possible contribution to Ye and Ty Dolla Sign’s new project isn’t the only exciting thing Metro Boomin has on the way, however. He’s had fans eager to hear a collaborative album with Future for quite some time. Luckily, it appears as though it could be closer than ever. He took to social media last week to respond to a post about hip hop’s “current slump,” claiming that his collab with Future is what the genre needs to overcome it.

This only built further anticipation for the project, which has yet to get an official release date. As for Ye and Ty Dolla Sign, they were scheduled to host a massive show in Italy later this week, however, it appears as though it could be called off. According to sources who spoke with Billboard Italy, the eagerly-anticipated show is “very unlikely” to happen. What do you think about Metro Boomin posting about Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s upcoming album? What do you think he’s alluding to? 2 Chainz Says He Gets Anxious Trying To Keep Up With Lil Wayne

Pretty much everyone agrees that Lil Wayne is a legend. Even other legends sometimes can’t help but be completely stunned by his talent. That was the case last month when Eminem tweeted about one particular Weezy lyric that blew him away. At the conclusion of the tweet, he even wishes that he had been able to come up with the lyric. Now with their second collaboration right around the corner, 2 Chainz spoke on stepping into the booth alongside a legend like Wayne.

“I think me and him just have that chemistry. We enjoy working with each other a lot, and it’s a lot of respect there. And as I always say, steel sharpens steel,” 2 Chainz explained in a recent interview. He sat down with Zane Lowe to discuss the music he’s been working on with Lil Wayne. “So, it’s always that little piece of anxiety of knowing that this verse has to be better than the last one. I think it’s healthy. I think competition is healthy in any and everything that we do.” Fans are hoping that the competition spawns great results when the pair’s new album drops next month. Check out the lead single from the album below.

2 Chainz On Trying To Keep Up With Lil Wayne

Technically, the 2016 album COLLEGROVE is only credited to 2 Chainz in name. That’s because Lil Wayne was in a legal battle that didn’t allow him to release an album of his own. But he pops up frequently on the project and it’s gone down as functionally a concept album between the two. That’s why fans were so excited when a sequel was finally announced.

Their first official collaborative album between the pair Welcome 2 ColleGrove was announced earlier this month. Though fans have been waiting on the album for a while already, they won’t have to wait much longer. The project is arriving on November 17, less than a month from now. What do you think of 2 Chainz feeling anxious when rapping alongside Lil Wayne? Let us know in the comment section below.

Kevin Gates Teases New Album “The Ceremony”

Kevin Gates has dropped off a teaser for a new music video set for release today for “God Slippers.” The single is the first from his newly-announced upcoming album, The Ceremony. While fans have yet to learn an official release date for the LP, they got a taste of what’s to come on the single, which he unveiled earlier this month.

The announcement comes amid Gates’ Only The Generals tour alongside BigXThaPlug, which has seen them make various stops across the U.S. He’s scheduled to perform around Texas until the beginning of next month, when he’ll move on to other cities in the south. It also comes amid some recent controversy, which was sparked when he taught his 8-year-old daughter how to drive earlier this week. Unfortunately, she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, which led to some concern among fans.

Kevin Gates Has New Music On The Way

“I don’t raise p***y,” he declared when asked about it. Despite the 37-year-old’s antics, his fanbase can’t wait to hear what he has in store for them next. His new album will follow his 2022 LP Khaza, which boasts one feature from Juicy J on “Thinking With My D*ck.”

Last month, TMZ caught up with the Louisiana native, who told the outlet how he was getting in shape for his tour. According to him, he got some pointers from Kevin Durant, DeMar DeRozan, and Chris “Lethal Shooter” Matthews. “I work out, I do a lot of stability training, a lot of hip mobility,” he explained. “Gotta do a lot of yoga, I do weights. I do squats. They got this person, my personal trainer be tryin’ to kill me. Be making me do these deep squats with kettlebells. This what it’s about right now.” He added that Durant taught him quite a bit about breath control, which reminds him to “stay in the moment.” Are you looking forward to Kevin Gates’ new album? When Jay Electronica appeared on Sundial, Noname faced backlash from fans for his bars being antisemitic. In response, she refused to apologize. “I’m not going to apologize for a verse I didn’t write,” she said at the time. “I’m not going to apologize for including it on my album. If you feel I’m wrong for including that’s fair. Don’t listen. Unfollow and support all the other amazing rappers putting out dope music. “JT Needs To Take The Offset Route” Fans Claim After City Girls Album Sales Revealed

Over the weekend, City Girls, AKA JT and Yung Miami released their new album RAW. The title stands for “Real A*s Wh*res” and the hard-hitting, sexually charged songs throughout the album live up to that title. While there are plenty of fans praising the album, that hasn’t translated into a great sales total. The album is projected to land somewhere between 6k and 8k sales in its first week. Those numbers are pretty disappointing for a pair whose previous album debuted in the top 30 of the Billboard 200.

Now, other fans are thinking they have the explanation. On in particular claimed that one half of the duo needs to go solo. “I love City Girls and don’t hate me for saying this.. But I think JT needs to take the Offset route,” their tweet reads. By “the Offset route” she means breaking off as a solo artist. Just this week the former Migos rapper debuted his feature-packed new album Set It Off in the top 5 of the Billboard 200 with impressive first week sales figures. Clearly, there are some fans out there claiming that JT could sell more albums as a solo artist than as a member of City Girls. Check out the tweet below.

Should JT Go Solo Instead?

Fans in the comments debated if a solo career would fix the issue. “Nah what happened was they needed more promo, they really didn’t have a song out that made you anticipate the album. Honestly they should have pushed it back,” one of the top comments reads. “Y’all want JT TO GO SOLO SO BAD BUT AINT GONE BUY HER SH*TTTT WHEN IT DROP,” another suggests.

JT may put the fan theories to test sooner rather than later. In an interview she did last month she mentioned specifically that she wanted to pursue solo work following the release of RAW. Do you think JT would sell more albums if she broke out as a solo artist? Let us know in the comment section below.

Busta Rhymes New Album Will Be Produced By Three Legends

Busta Rhymes is gearing up to release his 11th studio album and first since Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath Of God dropped back in 2020. For the new album, he’s pulling out all the punches. The project is hilariously titled BlockBusta and he told TMZ that it’s officially due for release on November 24. He’s making sure that the album lives up to its title and delivers a full-on Blockbuster. The rap legend did that by recruiting three more legends to serve as executive producers on the project. Pharrell, Timbaland, and Swizz Beatz, three of the most legendary producers in rap history, are all on board to collaborate with Busta.

He’s already teased the album off with two singles. The first is “Beach Ball” a single he dropped in collaboration with BIA back in June. The track has already racked up over 2 million streams on Spotify and 10 million views on YouTube. The second single dropped last month, the Coi Leray featuring “Luxury Life.” It’s on a similarly successful path as the first single topping 1 million Spotify streams with well over 7 million views on YouTube. Check out the music video for the single below.

Busta Rhymes Announces New Album “BlockBusta”

Busta Rhymes is still seen by many as a legend in every right. Last month, Funk Flex brought up the rapper doing a potential “Verzuz,” but doesn’t think anybody could hold a candle to him. “You want me to tell you who would beat JAY-Z at a Verzuz? Hands down embarrass him? Busta Rhymes would spank anybody in a Verzuz. There is no one that will beat Busta Rhymes as a solo artist in a Verzuz,” he claimed.

Bringing up Jay-Z feels particularly relevant given Busta’s most recent single. his Coi Leray collaboration features a prominent sample of Jay’s track “Ain’t No…” What do you think of the production trio Busta Rhymes assembled to work on his new album? Let us know in the comment section below.
