Here’s Who Brent Faiyaz Is Signed To

Brent Faiyaz‘s July 2022 album, Wasteland, was named to Uproxx’s “The Best Albums Of 2022” list, and Faiyaz wasted no time in following it up. On Friday, October 27, Faiyaz dropped Larger Than Life. The 14-track project was more or less a surprise drop: Faiyaz only confirmed its impending arrival on Thursday, October 26, with a video from ISO Supremacy (In Search Of Supremacy), his newly launched creative agency.

On May 2, Billboard‘s Carl Lamarre reported that Faiyaz and UnitedMasters “agreed on an unprecedented partnership to form a new creative agency as a hub for his upcoming endeavors.” Lamarre cited an unnamed source in relaying that Faiyaz’s deal with UnitedMasters “is rumored to be valued at close to $50 million.” In aligning with UnitedMasters to form ISO Supremacy, Faiyaz retained his ownership as an independent artist. (As per DSPs, Faiyaz’s Larger Than Life is copyrighted to ISO Supremacy under exclusive license to UnitedMasters.)

“Brent Faiyaz is one of the most prolific independent artists today, and we are extremely excited to embark on this new partnership with him,” UnitedMasters Founder Steve Stoute told Billboard at the time of the report. “It’s been inspiring to watch his journey as an artist over the years, and with this partnership we look to further amplify his creative vision and support his entrepreneurial ambitions.”

It should be noted that Faiyaz also has a deal with Pulse Music Group, where he has been signed to a publishing deal since May 2016.

Brent Faiyaz Returns With New Album “Larger Than Life”

In the ever-shifting landscape of the music game, where the boundaries of creativity are constantly pushed, Brent Faiyaz emerges as the undeniable icon that today’s generation craves. He returns today with a brand new project called Larger Than Life, and it definitely comes highly anticipated. In fact, his last full project was 2022’s Wasteland, which was a musical masterpiece. The album is definitely still in rotation for many R&B fans, and has 19 tracks of pure vibes. With standouts from the previous project such as “Jackie Brown” and “All Mine” and “Wasting Time,” Brent created classics that can easily be rotated into any playlist. Wasteland debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. He left the people with something to digest before coming back with a brand new project Larger Than Life.

After surprise announcing the news of a new album today in a short and simple IG message, “14 songs. Midnight,” audiences couldn’t wait to get their hands on some new Brent Faiyaz music. The caption was accompanied by a brief Instagram video lasting just one minute. The video captures a scene that’s got the streets buzzing. The footage showcases a young kid stationed outside a local corner store, selling CD mixtapes from a box. As people pass by, he calls the mixtape the hottest thing in town. Enter Brent Faiyaz, who rolls up in a sleek black truck, engaging the kid in conversation. “What it look like?” he inquires. With a grin, the kid replies, “It’s moving.” Faiyaz’s response? A piece of advice: “Up the price.”

The project spans 14 tracks long, and features two previously released singles “WY@” and “Moment Of Your Life” with Coco Jones. Some of the new features within the project include A$AP Rocky, Babyface Ray, Missy Elliott, and more. Additionally, the project has been released in partnership with ISO Supremacy, which stands for In Search of Supremacy. Faiyaz is the CEO of the creative agency and earlier this year, formed a partnership with UnitedMasters.

Overall, the album is a vibe and serves as the perfect late-night escape soundtrack. It’s nostalgic and has all the ingredients for success. The project features Faiyaz’s signature blend of raw lyricism and smooth melodies. He dives into themes of love and complicated romance. This was also seen with the singles “Moment Of Your Life,” and “WY@” which showcases how he battles with his emotions. He’s dropping gems like, “Even I know you ain’t no good for me, but you feel so good to me. Every time I come back, I try to leave. So how you end up back with me?” Faiyaz is clearly diving deep into his R&B bag this time around. This, ladies and gents, is Brent Faiyaz, the artist whose journey is, without a doubt, larger than life. Let us know your thoughts on the new music!

Is Brent Faiyaz Releasing A New Album, ‘Larger Than Life,’ Tonight?

It’s been just a little over a year since Brent Faiyaz released his sophomore album Wasteland. The project was well received and reckoned as one of the best R&B albums in 2022. Currently, Faiyaz is overseas for the European leg of his F*ck The World It’s A Wasteland Tour, a string of dates in support of his most recent projects: Wasteland and 2020’s F*ck The World. Now, it appears that Faiyaz might be able to treat fans to new music on his upcoming shows thanks to rumors of a new album dropping very soon.

Rumblings on social media began on Thursday (October 26) alluding to a new album from Faiyaz set to arrive on October 27. The alleged project is titled Larger Than Life and it’s said to have 14 songs and features from A$AP Rocky, Missy Elliott, Babyface Ray, Coco Jones, A$AP Ant, TTM Dawg, N3WYRKLA, CruddyMurda, Tommy Richman and FLEE. Larger Than Life reportedly also includes the previously-released singles “Moment Of Your Life” and “WY@.”

Faiyaz has yet to confirm or announce the album on any of his social media pages or through a press release, so news of the new album should be taken with a grain of salt for now. The album is said to be available in international markets, like this Spotify link for example, but those versions have yet to be confirmed as authentic and not illegitimate or retrieved through a hack.

If the project is confirmed, Larger Than Life will be Faiyaz’s first release since he signed an “unprecedented partnership” with Steve Stoute’s UnitedMasters.
