Drake’s London OVO Store Vandalized With “They Not Like Us” Graffiti

The beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar is still on everyone’s mind this week. The most recent update came on Sunday when Drizzy dropped his track “The Heart Part 6.” He refuted a number of allegations Kendrick has made at him across a few songs. But the most eye-catching moment came when he revealed that a viral story Kendrick spread about a secret 11-year-old daughter was actually planted by Drake and his team. At the end of “The Heart Part 6” Drizzy claims that he’s done dropping diss tracks in this beef.

Since the flurry of tracks dropped over the weekend fans have been trying to unpack every last detail included. That includes those on the song “Not Like Us” which Kendrick dropped Friday night. The track goes all in on allegations leveled against Drake that he likes underage girls. The artwork for the song even features the rapper’s mansion marked by tags claiming sex offenders are living there. Clearly the song is connecting with some of those on Kendrick’s side, even internationally. Earlier this week a fan in London took to vandalizing an OVO store inspired by the song. Check out what the anonymous fan did below.

Drake’s OVO London Store Spray Painted

A fan spray painted the phrase “They not like us” on the window of the OVO London store. It’s no surprise fans have gravitated towards the song as it combines cutting disses with some of the catchiest refrains and songwriting of any track released in the beef. That also translated into the success of the song itself once it hit Spotify. The song went on to break the platform’s record for most single day streams by a rap song in America.

What do you think of a Kendrick Lamar fan spray-painting the OVO store in London with graffiti inspired by a recent diss track? Do you think Kendrick will drop any more diss tracks or let the beef rest where it is now? Let us know in the comment section below.

4Batz “u made me a st4r” Review

4Batz first exploded onto the R&B scene late last year with viral sensations such as “act I: stickerz 99” and “act ii: date @ 8.” The crooner quickly picked up steam on platforms such as TikTok, with his chill soulful sound serving as the backing music to a wide array of viral videos. Despite only having a few songs available to the public, 4Batz managed to land a Drake feature and even inked a deal with Drake’s OVO label for 1 EP. After initially pushing back its initial April release date, 4Batz premiered u made me a st4r on May 3, amidst the ground-shattering Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef.

While u made me a st4r, released via 4Batz/gamma, may have been overshadowed by the brutal rap feud on its opening weekend, fans across the web still had plenty to say about the project. Perhaps as the dust settles on Kendrick and Drake’s intense back-and-forth, more fans will have an opportunity to relax with the laid-back smoker anthems present on 4Batz’s first-ever EP. Without any further preamble, let’s dive into the tracklist of u made me a st4r, and review the material therein.

A Slow Start

Despite u made me a st4r serving as 4Batz’ debut EP, the rising star does little to capitalize on his hype at the top of the record. The project begins with a brief intro skit, which humorously doesn’t shy away from 4Batz’s reputation as a potential industry plant. Admittedly, it would be a difficult allegation for 4Batz to duck, considering he has an EP deal with OVO Sound and major endorsements from industry giants like Timbaland, Drake, and Kanye West. Still, this intro, complete with a chirping smoke detector, establishes that Batz isn’t afraid to face these criticisms, as he considers himself “one of the biggest artists in the world.”

The EP then transitions into “act I: stickerz 99” and “act ii: date @ 8” back to back. While these tracks obviously lend a lot of viral weight to the release, it’s hard to say that they add any new flavors to the mix. In fact, the massive viral attention garnered by these songs, especially “date @ 8,” subtracts a bit from the project, which really could have shined without these existing songs. These tracks were already great as singles, and didn’t need to take up any extra space on this release.

4Batz Shows Signs Of Growth

One of the major hazards of reaching massive success at a young age is learning as you go, and failing publicly while doing so. 4Batz is only 20 years old, so some of the major missteps on u made me a st4r can be excused by the steep learning curve offered to such a young budding artist. Tracks like “act iv: fckin u (18+)” and “act v: there goes another vase” are great examples of these blenders, with Batz taking on subject matter that requires a much lighter touch than he’s currently capable of offering.

“act iv: fckin u (18+)” is a painfully awkward sex ballad, complete with vulgar sexual lyrics that come off more as misguided male bravado than they do sensual and smooth. While the track’s thumping West Coast beat may have otherwise made it an excellent candidate for a late-night drive, it’s tough to imagine blasting something like this in your whip publicly. Ultimately, the song doesn’t quite bring enough to the table to be considered for a sensual playlist and ends too abruptly to leave a lasting impact.

“act v: there goes another vase” is probably 4Batz’ biggest dud on the entire EP. The track is, confusingly, a domestic violence anthem, which disturbingly aggrandizes toxic relationships that resort to physical abuse. On this song, Batz sings “You gon’ turn around and throw another vase/ You damn near hit me in my face/ But if I punch on you, then I’ma get a case.” These bars are delivered in a regretful tone which, candidly, makes it sound like Batz is longing for a guilt-free opportunity to beat up his partner after a nasty argument.

Ending On A Major High Note

Despite hitting some major stutter steps along the way, 4Batz ends his EP strong, with two highly catchy back-to-back tracks. That is, as long as you don’t consider the abysmal “act iii: on god? (she like)” remix with Kanye West part of the regular tracklist. On “act vii: all we do is argue, argue” 4Batz dives into another toxic anthem that is a much better example of a failing relationship than “there goes another vase.” Without alluding to bizarre visions of domestic violence at any point, Batz outlines a relationship that suffers from cheating, disrespect, and heartache, that neither he nor his partner can seem to shake.

4Batz follows this up with another major highlight in “act viii: I hate to be alone.” The closing track is an instant favorite for fans, and seems to be the major standout on the project so far. Batz’ breathy vocal passages drown in waterfalls of reverb over a spacey beat, dragging the listener across a head-bobbing soundscape. Even if you’re not a fan of the rest of 4Batz’ music, this heartbreak anthem is worth catching before TikTok inevitably plays it to death.

Macklemore Fed Up With Drake Vs. Kendrick Lamar Beef Coverage In Pro-Palestinian Track “HIND’S HALL”

Macklemore has been the butt of a lot of jokes and ridicule over the course of his career. Most of that is from infamously “robbing” Kendrick Lamar of multiple GRAMMY awards at the 56th show. However those criticisms are out the window after the Seattle rapper spoke up in a big way. He dropped “HIND’S HALL,” a pro-Palestinian anthem. It is a form of commentary on the lack of coverage of the tragedies occurring in the Middle East. During the passionate 2:49 track, Macklemore also takes some jabs at Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

What happened to the artist? What d’you got to say? / If I was on a label, you could drop me today
I’d be fine with it ’cause the heart fed my page / I want a ceasefire, f*** a response from Drake (Woo)
.” It is not a direct shot at either artist. Instead, it is him venting his frustrations at how much publicity their bloody feud is getting. However, it could be taken as “why are my fellow artists not speaking out and doing what they can to show support for Palestine?”

Macklemore Doesn’t Want To Hear About Drake & Kendrick

One name who has been heavily criticized for not doing anything during this lengthy travesty is DJ Khaled, especially since his parents are Palestinian. The Weeknd has been one major artist who has done what he could and then some, donating millions of dollars worth of food to aid the Palestinian people. “HIND’S HALL” is currently on Macklemore’s social media platforms. But when it hits streaming, all of the proceeds are doing directly to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestine refugees.

What are your thoughts on Macklemore dropping “HIND’S HALL” and calling out Drake and Kendrick Lamar? Does this track come across as corny and as a way to capitalize on the beef, or was this needed? Will either rapper respond, why or why not? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Drake Trolled With Disrespectful GoFundMe’s Amid Kendrick Lamar Beef

Drake is currently in the midst of a pretty brutal feud with Kendrick Lamar. Overall, fans believe Kendrick is the official winner in all of this. “Meet The Grahams” was a massive gut punch, however, “Not Like Us” was a real knockout blow. It is a catchy track that sees Drake and his entire OVO crew being accused of pedophilia and predatory behavior. This is the last thing Drake needed, and at this point, it seems like he is throwing in the towel. However, Kendrick still has to answer for some things that were laid out in “Family Matters” and “The Heart Part 6.”

That said, now that fans have decided that Kendrick is the winner, the Drizzy haters are out in full force. Subsequently, this has led to a whole lot of trolling on social media. For instance, according to TMZ, multiple Drake-related GoFundMes have popped up over the last few days. Many of them are declaring the artist as “finished,” while looking to raise funds for a funeral. Moreover, there are some who are making Kendrick-related GoFundMe pages, with the intent of getting him more studio time. As if he needs money for that?

Some of the names for these fundraisers include “Support Kendrick Lamar’s Studio Time for the Ultimate Diss T;” “Join the Love Fund for Drake’s Send-Off;” “RIP Drake(champagnepapi): Fans Unite in Grief.” At this point, GoFundMe is looking to take some of these down as they go against the website’s terms of service. Having said all of that, this just goes to show that fans love to take things too far when their favorites are involved.

Let us know what you think of these tactics from the Drake haters, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that things are going way too far now? Is there such a thing as a “line” when it comes to rap beef? If this is all, indeed, over…who do you think came away as the winner? Tommy Richman’s upbringing in Woodbridge, Virginia, a suburb just outside of Washington, D.C., was notably devoid of music. Growing up in a household where his father, a drum teacher, and his legally deaf mother didn’t necessarily foster a musical environment, Richman discovered his passion for music independently, according to an interview with Lyrical Lemonade. Despite the absence of melodies at home, he felt a profound connection to music and decided to pursue it on his own. Richman’s formative years were subsequently deeply influenced by the vibrant music scene of the Washington metropolitan area. Early on, he began receiving vocal lessons, dedicating himself to refining his musical talents and absorbing insights from the musicians around him. Additionally, the immersion in the local music community shaped Tommy Richman’s artistic journey. Furthermore, it fueled his development as a musician.

Tommy Richman’s Rise To Stardom

Richman made his debut in 2016 with the track “Ballin’ Stalin.” Since then, he has released several more singles, including: “Sand Man,” “Tu Pax,” “Chrono Trigger,” and “Bad Boys.” Tommy Richman isn’t afraid to bend, shift, and switch genres, which is becoming increasingly evident. Inspired by a diverse spectrum of artists, including Mötley Crüe, KISS, Lil Wayne, and 50 Cent, Richman’s creative process is deeply rooted in emotional intuition. This also allows him to effortlessly transition between alternative vibes and R&B tones within his music. His tracks exemplify his genuine approach.

“Electrify Tonight” captivates with its rich, inviting melody, while “Games” exudes infectious energy, showcasing Tommy Richman’s raw authenticity and musical versatility. These songs are a testament to his ability to connect with listeners on a profound level. His versatile musical talent quickly caught the attention of multi-platinum artist Brent Faiyaz. By August 2023, Richman had signed with Faiyaz’s label, Iso Supremacy, in collaboration with PULSE Records. This new partnership led to an exciting opportunity for him to open for Faiyaz on his F*ck the World, It’s a Wasteland Tour later that year. A significant moment also came when Richman, alongside FELIX!, was featured on Brent Faiyaz’s track “Upset,” marking Tommy Richman’s breakthrough in the music industry. Hailing from Virginia, this level of success was exceptional.

Reflecting on his journey in an interview with Miami New Times, Tommy Richman expressed the challenges of getting recognition in his hometown. He stated: “There’s a lot of passion through the scene back home, and I feel like it’s because a lot of people don’t get a fair shake. It’s really hard to have your voice heard there. That’s probably why a lot of people from Virginia left, like Pharrell and Timbaland. It’s kind of key for an artist to leave their nest. That way, you can appreciate where you come from.”

He also went on to reminisce about the time he spent making music in his mother’s basement and expressed his gratitude for everyone who had helped him get to where he is now. “When I would work in my mother’s basement for hours on tracks, and she’d be telling me to get a real job like most moms, I’d be like, ‘No, no, no, it’s gonna work out,’” he said. “And now, to be recognized by other hardworking people, I’m just very grateful, and it definitely inspires me to keep going.”

Tommy Richman’s Newfound Fame

Tommy Richman’s music has gained millions of streams, propelled by his distinctive production style and fearless disregard for genre boundaries. In 2023, he released his EP, The Rush. However, pn April 26, 2024, he dropped the infectious track “MILLION DOLLAR BABY.” This song quickly went viral and catapulted him to TikTok stardom. It has also inspired numerous creators to dance to its catchy beat and create fun edits using the song, leading to its #2 debut on the Billboard Hot 100. Next week, it challenges Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria” for the top spot on the same chart. Despite having a relatively small discography, Tommy Richman has amassed millions of fans worldwide, with more joining in.

50 Cent Speaks Out On Chicago Gun Violence: “This Gotta Stop”

50 Cent spoke out against gun violence in the city of Chicago with a post on Instagram, on Monday, while sharing a report that six people were fatally shot over the weekend. In the caption, he added: “Come on now, this gotta stop, this ain’t gangster, this is just crazy.” ABC7 Chicago reports that the number of deaths has since risen to seven.

“Imagine what 47 billion dollars could do in a place like Chicago instead of sending to Ukraine,” one user wrote in the comments. Another called out 50 directly: “Decades of Hip Hop music glorifying this activity has consequences. You influenced an entire generation to act this way and make it seem ‘cool.’” One fan tried a more productive approach: “Bro it would be Powerful to have you join in on helping us stop this violence in Chicago. I work for the Institute For Nonviolence Chicago as the Austin Outreach Supervisor. We know a lot of these young men will be willing to listen to you.”

Lil Durk previously addressed the concerns about gun violence in his hometown during an interview on MSNBC in November. After former President Donald Trump commented on the situation during a speech, Durk argued that there’s “violence everywhere” and people single out Chicago to fit a narrative. “I really don’t pay it no mind, ’cause there’s violence everywhere,” Durk stated at the time. “Every city had their moment with the [murder] rates. If you look up right now who got the [highest murder rate] right now, I betcha it ain’t Chicago. That’s why I really don’t comment on it, because every city will have its day [with the murder rates].”

Drake’s Security Guard Was Reportedly Shot Multiple Times, Witnesses Allegedly Describe It As A “Drive-By”

If you are a Drake fan, you know what Bridle Path is. This is the neighborhood where the artist resides at in Toronto. Overall, he has a massive mansion in this area, and some even liken it to a compound of sorts. Of course, it was recently the subject of Kendrick Lamar’s cover art for the song “Not Like Us.” However, the neighborhood is now making headlines for a shooting that occurred last night at around 2 AM. According to reports, a man was shot in the area and underwent surgery for his injuries. Meanwhile, the party(ies) responsible fled the scene and are still at large.

There is a caution tape outside of the front door. Moreover, a new report from the Toronto Sun claims that the artist’s security guard was shot multiple times. He was then taken to the hospital, although the wounds were not life-threatening.
