Nardo Wick Fan Hospitalized By Rapper’s Entourage After Asking For A Photo

After a recent Nardo Wick concert in Tampa, one fan got much more than he bargained for. He approached the rapper outside the club where the show was held trying to get a photo. That’s why Wick’s entourage jumped him and the resulting attack feels like a brutal overreaction. According to TMZ, the fight happened after 1 am outside the club and they even shared a video of what happened.

In the video, shortly after the fan approaches Nardo somebody in his crew sucker punches him. The punch knocks the fan’s head into a concrete wall and a following punch knocks him backwards onto the ground where he again appears to hit his head. Nardo himself appears to try and get his group to back off but the damage is already done. Follow-up reports paint a scary picture of the incident and following treatment. Tampa police say that the victim is in critical, but stable condition. They also opened up an investigation into the incident and are asking the public for help identifying the members of Nardo’s group. Check out the unsettling video of the attack below.

Nardo Wick Fan Gets Knocked Out

Earlier this month, Sexyy Red announced a collaboration with Nardo Wick coming soon. She’s worked with a ton of high-profile artists during her breakout 2023. She’s dropped songs with Nicki Minaj, Lil Durk, SZA, Drake, DaBaby, Latto, Young Nudy and many more.

Earlier this year, Nardo Wick teamed up with Gucci Mane and Roddy Ricch for a new single called “Pissy.” The track ended up on the second disk of Gucci’s new album Breath Of Fresh Air which dropped last month. It’s one of a few high-profile collaborations Wick has dropped this year including his crossover with Lil Baby “Hot Boy” which dropped back in March. Mariah The Scientist Will Tour The US And Europe In 2024 For The ‘To Be Eaten Alive Tour’

If it’s not too late, Mariah The Scientist fans are going to want to update their holiday wishlists. Today (November 28), the “From A Woman” singer’s plan for next has been revealed. At the top of 2024, Mariah The Scientist will hit the road to promote her latest album, To Be Eaten Alive.

While on stage, Mariah The Scientist’s breakout songs with artists like A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Lil Baby, as well as her boyfriend and frequent collaborator Young Thug, are sure to make the setlist. The To Be Eaten Alive Tour’s opening is set for February 1, 2024, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Mariah The Scientist’s headlining run is scheduled to make stops in London, Paris, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Boston, Washington D.C., and Brooklyn.

J Balvin Shared The Dates For His ‘Que Bueno Volver A Verte’ 2024 Tour, A ‘Completely New Show’

J Balvin announced his new Que Bueno Volver A Verte Tour for 2024, with the shows taking place across Europe in the Spring.

Presale tickets open this Thursday, November 30 at 10 a.m. local time. From there, the general sale opens on Friday, December 1 at the same time. More information can be found on his official website, where there is currently an email signup — which might be how fans can enter the presale.

How Did Young Thug Get His Name?

As the RICO trial against Young Thug continues, more details about not only Georgia’s case against him but also about the rapper himself have emerged. During his opening statement, Young Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, explained both how Young Thug and his label got their names in an effort to undermine the state’s characterization of the rapper as leader of a criminal street gang.

With a stage name like Young Thug, you could almost say it’s no surprise that authorities would choose to make an example of Jeffery Williams. But according to Steel, the government has the origins of his name figured all wrong. Thanks to Atlanta-based culture reporter Jewel Wicker (who already figures to be to this high-profile case what Meghann “Thee Reporter” Cuniff was to the Tory Lanez trial), Steel said Thug’s nom de plume was inspired by another revered but controversial rap icon: Tupac Shakur.

Shakur’s 1995 feature appearance on Smooth’s “P.Y.T. (Playa Young Thugs)” inspired Williams to adopt Young Thug as his name, turning the “thug” part into a backronym meaning “truly humbled under God.” Likewise, YSL (short for Young Stoner Life) was “a nod to the tight-fitting designer pants Thug used to see women wear.”

According to Steel, the rapper’s stage name came from the Tupac’s “P.Y.T. (Playa Young Thugs.)” The attorney says Thug’s stage name stands for “truly humbled under God.”

This explanation has been used in the past. Last December, his sister Dora Williams tweeted the same breakdown of his name’s acronym. While the explanation drew some skepticism from the app’s users, it looks like his defense is sticking to that story, which paints a brighter picture of the rapper and probably won’t hurt in the eyes of the jury.

King Harris Is Demanding A High Price Tag For An Interview

King Harris, the son of legendary Atlanta rapper T.I. is becoming an overnight sensation for all of the wrong reasons. If you have not been keeping tabs on what is trending, this past weekend was an eventful one, to say the least, for T.I. and the gang. The rapper brought his family out for the Atlanta Falcons home matchup with their division rival New Orleans Saints. While all appeared to be just fine, King hopped on Instagram Live and that is when everything went south.

He started going off about how he knows what it is like to grow up in the trap. However, T.I. and his wife Tiny, immediately stepped in to correct him. They put him on blast, saying he was coddled and was sucking a pacifier until he was 12 years old. Things got heated fast and now it has vaulted King and his family into a lot of discussion online. What was worse was the rapper was there because he was performing to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.

50 Cent Says He’s Interested In Buying Revolt After Diddy Steps Down As Chairman

50 Cent continued to troll his longtime rival Diddy on Twitter, Tuesday, while reacting to the news that the Bad Boy mogul intends to step down as chairman at Revolt. In response, 50 offered to purchase the company. TMZ broke the news about Diddy stepping down, earlier this week, saying that the move “was to not allow the accusations he’s facing distract from Revolt’s mission or success.”

“I’ll buy that from you play boy, for the low because you know Cadillac and AT&T gonna pull out,” 50 joked on Twitter. “I’ll give you a few dollars for it now! Sell it to me, then we can be friends [blushing emoji] I’m serious call my phone.”

Diddy has faced three sexual assault lawsuits in recent days. The first came from Cassie, who alleged sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. The two reached a settlement just 24 hours after the singer filed in court. Two other accusers have come forward in the time since. His spokesperson denied both allegations in a statement provided to HipHopDX. They wrote: “These are fabricated claims falsely alleging misconduct from over 30 years ago and filed at the last minute. This is nothing but a money grab. Because of Mr. Combs’ fame and success, he is an easy target for anonymous accusers who lie without conscience or consequence for financial benefit.”

What Is Ed Sheeran’s Best-Selling Album?

Ed Sheeran is the quintessential laidback pop star. Most of his musical artistry involves stripped-down, bashful performances and relatable lyrics. However, make no mistake—Ed Sheeran is a commercial heavyweight, churning out record-breaking singles and albums like no man’s business. Most notably, his first string of albums were uniquely titled.

From his debut LP, +, to his fifth, =, the British crooner opted for symbols for album titles. While each of these efforts all produced timeless songs, it was his third album, ÷ (Divide), that became his biggest global smash hit. The Grammy-winning album is the best-selling in the singer’s catalog, boasting some awe-inspiring numbers. Altogether, around the world, Divide has amassed over 13 million units sold.

A Worldwide Phenomenon

To go into more detail, Ed Sheeran dominated the album market for the entire calendar year of 2017. Divide kicked off its record-breaking run in the UK, selling over 232,000 units on its first day, without including streaming data. After three days, it had sold more than 432,000 copies, a surefire guarantee that it would debut at No. 1 on the UK Albums chart. Finally, at the end of the first week, Divide had sold over 672,000 units, awarding Ed Sheeran one of the best first-week sales in the history of UK albums. In his native England, the album has been certified 13x Platinum for shipments of over 3.9 million units.

Likewise, in the United States, Divide debuted atop the Billboard 200. The album sold over 450,000 units in its first week. Altogether, it sold over five million copies, earning a 5x Platinum from the RIAA. All over Europe, Ed Sheeran dominated with Divide, which became one of the best-selling albums in multiple countries. For example, it stayed atop the Danish Albums chart for 36 weeks, becoming the longest-running No. 1 album in Denmark. There, it also achieved total sales of over 240,000 units, achieving a 12x Platinum certification.

At the time of its release, Divide was the fastest-selling album of the 2010s in Ireland. The album also performed exceptionally well in Canada, earning a Diamond certification after 800,000 units sold. Additionally, in Australia, it was the best-selling album of 2017 and has since sold over 770,000 units, earning an 11x Platinum certification. In France, the LP has been certified Diamond for over 500,000 sales. Italy is not far behind, with a 7x Platinum certification after 350,000 units sold.

Ed Sheeran Becomes Pop Royalty

With his third LP, Ed Sheeran achieved sales equivalents that matched albums released during the Britpop era of the 80s and 90s. The overwhelming success of Divide signified his reign as the most widespread British act of the modern age, alongside Adele. Divide dominated worldwide, and its singles were not left behind. In particular, “Shape of You” and “Perfect” conquered the radio. The former is also the second most streamed song on Spotify. Overall, of all the albums in his repertoire, Ed Sheeran completely shattered all expectations with Divide.

Is Diddy Still Involved With Revolt?

The fallout from Bad Boy Records artist Cassie’s rape and physical abuse civil suit against Diddy (real name Sean Combs) continues to mount. Although the pair reached a speedy settlement, two additional lawsuits have been filed by other women in the New York Supreme Court. While Combs, through his attorney, has maintained his innocence and a spokesperson shut down the newly filed cases as money grabs, the public’s opinion hasn’t swayed.

Due to his ownership claim in many companies, including a news entity, many question whether these brands will cut ties with Combs.

Is Diddy still involved with Revolt?

Today (November 28), the mogul’s media network, Revolt, formerly announced that Combs had stepped down as chairman.

The network, which is home to programming such as Drink Champs and Caresha Please, was co-founded by Diddy in 2013. In a press release, Combs discussed the inspiration behind the company. “When I started REVOLT, I always wanted to develop a platform to report the news from our perspective, from our lens, from our people, so I decided to launch ‘Black News,’” said Combs.

Megan Thee Stallion Fans Rip Shannon Sharpe For Sexually Charged Comments

Megan Thee Stallion is someone who has been in the news a lot lately. Overall, a lot of this is because of her dating history going under the microscope. There are a ton of fans out there who are trying to figure out whom she has slept with in the past. Although this is parasocial behavior, it persists. Meg even had to go on a livestream and talk about how she doesn’t sleep with men a lot anymore. At the end of the day, she has opted to protect her peace.

Recently, however, Shannon Sharpe was on his podcast with Chad Johnson called Nightcap, where he sexualized the rapper. He made various comments that were sexually charged. Ultimately, it felt like a case of locker room talk that should have probably been said privately, or ideally, not at all. Regardless, the clip is now going viral and there are plenty of people out there who have been quick to praise Sharpe for his humor. However, there are also a lot of people who have been left uncomfortable with his comments.
