Angela Simmons Stuns Onstage With Yo Gotti

During one of his recent performances in Charlotte, Yo Gotti invited his girlfriend Angela Simmons to join him onstage. The NYC native certainly made the most of her appearance, proudly waving to the crowd and blowing kisses as she made her entrance. She posed for a few moments before hugging the rapper and heading off stage.

The designer rocked a skin-tight black jumpsuit, which she complemented with the CMG chain gifted to her by her man at the beginning of this year. Fans, of course, went wild for her appearance, as the duo continues to be one of the sweetest couples in the world of hip hop. This isn’t the first time Yo Gotti invited his other half to join him onstage on his Gangsta Art tour, however. Earlier this month, she made another appearance while he performed his 2016 hit “Down In the DM,” stunning in an eye-catching red dress.

Angela Simmons Joins Yo Gotti At Recent Show

He shared a moment from her appearance on Instagram, showing his love for her in his caption. “Still [heart emoji],” he captioned the clip. His comments section is flooded with fans praising him for how well he appears to treat Simmons. After all, she’s inspired plenty of his songs, so it only seems appropriate for the audience to get a glimpse at who he’s been rapping about for all these years.

The pair first publicly confirmed their relationship in January, kicking off the new year as an item. Clearly, as they approach the one-year mark, things between them only continue to heat up. What do you think of Angela Simmons joining Yo Gotti onstage at his recent show? Are you a fan of her black jumpsuit? Should he bring her out at more of his performances? Did Joe Budden Apologize To NBA YoungBoy For Dissing Him?

Rapper turned podcaster Joe Budden has made his career on being one of rap’s most prolific antagonists, issuing inflamatory takes in a never-ending effort to get more attention for his podcast than his music ever got. But every once in a while, he seems to recognize when he oversteps his bounds, issuing apologies to both Logic and Megan Thee Stallion in recent years for making jokes that made light of their legitimate issues.

You can add YoungBoy Never Broke Again (aka NBA YoungBoy) to that list after this week, after Budden make efforts to deescalate his simmering feud with the Louisiana lyricist. On the latest episode of his inexplicably popular podcast, Budden said, “I owe NBA an apology too. Let’s start with accountability. I owe him an apology. He don’t even bother nobody.” He also noted that he “didn’t feel good about” the coverage the dispute prompted from “the biggest blogs,” which he perhaps felt painted him in a less-than-positive light as an over-the-hill grouch who finds inordinate joy in picking on pretty much any rapper younger (and more successful musically) than he was 20 years ago.

Budden had previously called YoungBoy’s music “horrible,” and credited his streaming success to record label trickery, rather than genuine popularity with an audience Joe hasn’t been in touch with since his mixtape days. YoungBoy responded on Instagram (because he’s still on house arrest), telling Joe to “shut the f*ck up” and weirdly using his last album’s first-week numbers as a defense. Fortunately, we all know neither rapper is willing to get physical with the other because neither is a woman.

Ice Spice Reveals That Usher Was The First Celeb She Ever Had A Crush On

Even celebrities have their own celebrity crushes. Some high-profile relationships originally began with a crush and many aren’t shy about confessing their crushes publicly. Just a few months ago Chloe Bailey revealed her celebrity crush was Michael B. Jordan, but also confirmed that she’s not the type to shoot her shot. Just a few months later Chloe had an encounter with Boosie Badazz, who similarly declared her his new celeb crush.

Ice Spice was the newest celeb to reveal her pre-fame crush. She did it during an interview with Doja Cat, who was incredibly curious about the answer. Despite saying it made her embarrassed, she was pretty quick to answer that it was R&B superstar Usher. She followed it up with a funny story of encountering him in person for the first time at the MET Gala, which is when Doja agreed that he’s a pretty attractive guy. Check out the full interview clip below.

Ice Spice has had a breakout 2023 that’s seen her collaborating with numerous high-profile artists. She’s worked with Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Rema, and Pinkpantheress this year alone. In 2024 she could be expanding her horizons even more. Recently, she pulled up in the comments of a recent Billie Eilish post to show the singer some love. The comment instantly had fans wondering what a potential crossover between the two would sound like. Obviously nothing has been confirmed yet but with Spice already teasing more music in 2024 fans are buzzing.

Spice also recently had a pivotal moment for any breakout rapper, an interview with Nardwuar. The pair discussed numerous things and as usual his extensive research was shocking to his interview subject. Why Are 50 Cent And Rick Ross Beefing? (2023 Edition)

50 cent
Getty Image

50 Cent and Rick Ross are at it again. Although we’re about a decade removed from the height of the two rappers’ rivalry, it looks like the feud is heating up again.

So, why do they dislike each other so much?

That answer could keep us here all day, so let’s just stick to the latest round of offenses.

50 Cent Trolls Rick Ross’ Sales

Most recently, 50 — who legitimately never lets go of anything — trolled Ross for the allegedly low sales of Too Good To Be True, his new joint album with Meek Mill. In a video on Instagram, 50 enjoys his tour as it heads to Australia, but makes sure to take a moment for spite: “If you sell 31,009 CDs,” he says. “I shouldn’t talk to you.”

Setting aside that 31,000 is pretty respectable in the streaming era (and that 50 hasn’t dropped an album since streaming became the main avenue for music consumption), as well as the fact that the album only had about two weeks of promotion, it doesn’t seem 50 wanted to pass up the chance to get at one of his rivals.

Rick Ross Claps Back At 50 Cent

Ross later posted his own video responding to 50’s low sales accusations. “Just got a DM saying, ‘Rozay, we believe 50 Cent just made a comment about you online,’” he said. “I seen it and I said, ‘Y’all don’t know 50 Cent like I do. He wouldn’t do that.’ For one, his b*tch Dreamchasers. She been a Dreamchasers b*tch for many years, still is. That’s when she told me I was her favorite.”

“For two, n****, we been rich,” he said. “We still getting money. Them n****s was laughing at my first-week sales. Them n***as was doing a million and I did 150, 180 and they was laughing but…You smell that saltwater, right? Don’t let them n****s trick you.”

Now, that’s not the most enlightened take for 2023 (the casual sexism just doesn’t work these days). But he certainly isn’t backing down.

Andre 3000 Reveals Why He Didn’t Participate In Any Hip Hop 50 Events

Andre 3000 is no doubt one of the most definitive voices in rap. His influence on the genre as a whole and particularly on southern rap can’t be overstated. Earlier this year in a list counting down the best rap groups of all time, Billboard declared Andre and Big Boi’s Outkast as the very best of the best. But despite his obvious impact on the genre and how many fans, publications and active artists still show love to him, he declined to participate in any celebrations of rap music’s 50th anniversary this year.

Now in a newly released interview with CBS Mornings, he explained his decision. He explained that he received plenty of offers to participate in various events, but turned them all down.  “I wouldn’t want to be — I’m doing it just because I’m trying to meet an expectation. I didn’t get into OutKast for that, you know,” the rapper explained. The lack of participation may be more apparent now that Andre 3000 has released his long-awaited debut solo album. The project also avoids hip-hop entirely even though he’s repeatedly stated that it wasn’t his specific intention to. Check out the full CBS interview below.

Andre 3000 Explains Hip Hop 50 Absence

Last month, Andre 3000 dropped his new album New Blue Sun. Despite fans expecting a hip-hop-oriented project from him, he assured them in his announcement that there were actually “no bars” on the album. He delivered on the promise dropping an ambient jazz album full of long instrumental compositions prominently featuring his flute playing.

Reactions to the album from fans and critics were mostly mixed. Some appreciated the bold genre shift he made stepping so far out of his typical comfort zone. But others resented the fact that the album they had been waiting for for so long didn’t have any rapping on it. What do you think of Andre 3000’s brief explanation of why he skipped out on various Hip Hop 50 events? Let us know in the comment section below.

Diddy’s Fourth Sexual Assault Accuser Allegedly Sits In His Lap In New Photos

Recently, Diddy was hit with his fourth sexual assault lawsuit from a woman accusing him and others of raping her back in 2003, when she was only 17 years old. The anonymous woman claims to have met the Bad Boy Records founder when she was in high school, after Harve Pierre invited her to visit him in the studio. From there, she recalls allegedly being asked to sit in Diddy’s lap and being given drugs and alcohol. After that, she alleges that Diddy, Pierre, and another unnamed man raped her in a bathroom.

The woman’s attorney included photos from the alleged victim’s encounter with Diddy, which she claims work to support the allegations. In the photos, the alleged victim appears to be sitting in Diddy’s lap, though the individual’s face is obscured. Other photos show her posing in various locations in his studio.

Diddy And His Alleged Victim

Her attorney says that the photos “[prove] that she not only met Mr. Combs on the night in question, but was in his studio, in New York City, with him on that night.” Following news of the lawsuit, Diddy took to social media to share a message with fans, denying the allegations. “Enough is enough,” he wrote. “For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear; I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

Fabolous Uses 50 Cent and Rick Ross’ Feud To Discuss 1st Week Sales

Fabolous has weighed in on 50 Cent and Rick Ross’ ongoing feud to discuss the lack of clarity when it comes to first-week sales in the streaming era. His comments come after 50 Cent remarked, “If you sell 31,009 CDs, I shouldn’t talk to you,” referencing the underwhelming debut of Ross’ collaborative album with Meek Mill, Too Good To Be True.

“I have no dog in this fight but y’all do know 31k in sales is 46,513,000 in streams right?” Fabolous wrote in a comment on Instagram. “1500 streams = 1 unit. Low numbers in 1st week sales only could be judged in a physical era. EVERYBODY is streaming music through DSP’s now. I’m sure there’s a few people who actually buy the product but not enough to care over streaming anymore so why is this low sales number narrative still being pushed? My opinion isn’t based on 50 or Ross. I’m discussing the sales/streams conversation. My point is valid for any sales/stream talk. Not just Ross & 50. Y’all missing the point.”

Rick Ross eventually responded to 50 Cent’s criticism, ranting on social media: “Just got a DM say, ‘Rozay, we believe 50 Cent just made a comment about you online’. I seen it and I said, ‘Y’all don’t know 50 Cent like I do. He wouldn’t do that.’ For one, his b*tch Dream Chasers. She been a Dream Chasers bitch for many years, still is. That’s when she told me I was her favorite. For two, n***a, we been rich! We still getting money. Them n****s was laughing at my first-week sales. Examples of Wayne’s feature abilities still drop regularly. Earlier this year he teamed up with Nas and delivered an absolute standout moment on the track “Never Die” from Nas’ album Magic 3.
