Nicki Minaj Samples Travis Scott Track On “Pink Birthday”

Nicki Minaj has been teasing Pink Friday 2 for a very long time at this point. Overall, the fans have been worried about the album never actually coming out. She delayed the album twice, and this led to a lot of anxiety. However, on Friday morning, Nicki ended up blessing her fans by coming out with the project, once and for all. It was a triumphant moment for the Barbz, and they are most definitely appreciative of the fact that they now have this album to listen to in all of its glory.

Throughout the tracklist here, there are a ton of great songs. Moreover, there are a ton of features from big names. J. Cole, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Lil Uzi Vert are all featured here. Furthermore, there are quite a few samples that can be found throughout the album. One of these samples actually comes from a former foe of hers. Nicki Minaj With A Travis Reference

Nicki’s performance on the track is great and the sample is used in a creative way here. Rodeo was a huge moment for Scott and for many it was the moment where he came into his own. Having said all of that, Nicki’s interpretation of the beat is pretty cool For hip-hop fans who didn’t like seeing these two at odds, this moment will be a nice one on the album. However, there are definitely plenty of other great tracks to get into here.

NBC Miami reports the arrest took place in Plantation, Florida after an officer spotted a black Bentley SUV parked in the roadway. The officer found Kodak Black asleep in the driver’s seat as the scent of cannabis emanated from the car. Police said Kodak Black confirmed that there was cannabis in the vehicle. However, after spotting a Styrofoam cup that reeked of alcohol, police asked Kodak Black to step out of the vehicle. Further investigation led police to discover cannabis-related items, and a suspicious white powder that fell on the ground next to Kodak while he stood in front of the patrol vehicle.

The police report also said that they noticed Kodak had a “mouth full of white powder,” per TMZ. They later saw “several white rock-like objects” which Yak allegedly told them were Percocet. Upon further testing, the white powder was confirmed to be cocaine. Additionally, Black was found in possession of a clear plastic baggie that also underwent testing. Police also towed the Bentley SUV, describing damage to the passenger side door and bumper. “It appeared it was involved in a recent crash,” the report stated.

This isn’t Kodak Black’s first brush with the law. His prior arrests include incidents involving drug-related charges, weapon offenses, and issues with compliance related to court-mandated tests. Earlier in 2023, a warrant was issued due to his failure to undergo a mandatory drug and alcohol test. Ultimately, it led to his arrest.

Recent Court Proceedings

Despite facing recurrent legal issues, Kodak Black expressed willingness to comply during court appearances, emphasizing his intent to rectify the situation. He had previously pleaded with the court, expressing his desire to avoid incarceration and undergo necessary rehabilitation programs, showcasing a willingness to make amends for his actions.

Kodak Black’s recent arrest underscores his ongoing legal struggles despite efforts to navigate a path toward rehabilitation and compliance with legal obligations. The musician, known for his talents in the music industry, finds himself entangled in repeated legal controversies that overshadow his artistic endeavors. As this incident unfolds, the future legal proceedings and their impact on his career remain uncertain.

Joe Budden Calls Cap On Fat Joe’s Comments About Lying In His Raps

Joe Budden is someone who has a wide range of opinions when it comes to the hip-hop world. If he has something to say about someone, more often than not, he will just come out and say it. Overall, this has gotten him in trouble with some of his fans and peers. However, he usually stands on whatever he says, at least for the most part. His recent spat with NBA YoungBoy was actually one of the few times where he actually apologized for something.

Now, however, Budden is taking aim at none other than Fat Joe. Essentially, Budden seems to take issue with some of Joe’s comments about lying in his raps. Recently, the rapper revealed that Joey Crack was simply a nickname girls made up for him because they would see his butt when he sat up. Moreover, he claimed to have lied in 95 percent of his songs. In Budden’s eyes, this seems like a bit of a copout and just a flat-out lie. You can see the clip in which Budden says that, below.

Joe Budden Speaks Out

“First of all, Fat Joe is lying,” Budden said. “That’s number one. Fat Joe is lying. That is a lie! So he’s making up a lie to clean it? Don’t do that! Cuz nobody even said nothing! Fat Joe said that his name Joey Crack comes from back in the day. When he would stand up, the homegirls — when he got up, his ass crack would show, so they used to call him Joey Crack. That’s weird.” Needless to say, Joe is feeling extremely skeptical right now. Whether or not Fat Joe responds, remains to be seen.

With Joe’s latest comments in mind, let us know what you think, in the comments section below. Is Budden right or do you think he is going too hard on Fat Joe? Fans Are Convinced That Nicki Minaj Dissed Latto On ‘Fallin 4 U’ From Her New Album ‘Pink Friday 2’

Nicki Minaj has helped save December, which often ends up being the most boring month of the year in terms of music releases, with her new album, Pink Friday 2. Since the project was released at midnight, fans have been appreciating the music and exploring Minaj’s latest lyrics. Some believe that at one point on the record, Minaj takes a stab at Latto.

Does Nicki Minaj diss Latto on “Fallin 4 U” from Pink Friday 2?

According to Genius, towards the end of the third verse of “Fallin 4 U,” Minaj raps, “Picture you endin’ up under the seat, where the dread at? / Picture not listenin’ when I said that you would dread that / I mean locs, ho, you-you’s a chop ho.” Some, though, have heard the final line as, “I mean locked, ho, you’s a chop ho,” or, “I mean Latto, you’s a chop ho,” as XXL notes.

The lyric as it appears on Genius seems to make the most sense logically, given that the reference to “locs” connects with the “dread” (as in the type of hair) lyric from the previous lines. Still, some listeners took to social media to comment about the supposed Latto diss.

Of course, there is some history here, as last year, there was some Twitter (back when it was still called that) beef between the two rappers.

Listen to “Fallin 4 U” above.

Nicki Minaj “Pink Friday 2” Production Credits: BNYX, Atl Jacob, Hollywood Cole & More

Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 is finally here, and the sonic pallet on display is definitely one of its most standout aspects. Whether you love it or hate it, its airy and dreamy presentation, accentuated by raw percussive elements and plenty of very direct samples and interpolations, fits quite well with the style that she’s going for performance-wise on this project. As such, we’re taking a look at the LP’s production credits. There were many talented beatmakers that went above and beyond on this sequel, and you can tell the effort that they put in to craft their material. Let’s see who could’ve been the key player here.

First off, the opener “Are You Gone Already” is produced by FINNEAS, as it’s a very generous sample of Billie Eilish’s “when the party’s over.” As far as other big names, Boi-1da has a couple of credits on Nicki Minaj’s new album, namely “Needle” featuring Drake (a collab with YogiTheProducer) and “Pink Birthday” (with 116, Apollo Parker, and Fierce). Atl Jacob is anther big name, and probably the most dominant producer on this tracklist. He masterminded “FTCU,” “Fallin 4 U” (with DB!), “Let Me Calm Down” featuring J. Cole (with Hendrix Smoke and Kuji), and the single “Last Time I Saw You.

Cam’ron Might Sue Joe Budden Podcast For Defamation Over Underage Sex Work Claims

Cam’ron isn’t taking The Joe Budden Podcast‘s recent comments on him lightly at all. Moreover, for those unaware, the crew reacted to him and Ma$e’s story about having a threesome with a brothel sex worker back in the 1990s. During their discussion on that story, podcast co-host Melyssa Ford insinuated that there could’ve been underage girls at that establishment that they could’ve encountered. The rapper was obviously not happy at all, and had previously called out Ford and the podcast as a whole for making such claims. During a recent Instagram Live session on Thursday (December 7), he did not accept Ford’s apology for making those insinuations.

“First of all, I only like older b***hes,” Cam’ron expressed. “Second of all, it was 1992– we were underage! I just turned motherf***ing 16. You can’t just say s**t like that and two days later be like, ‘Oh, my bad. I wasn’t thinking.’ You damn right you wasn’t thinking! Why say that in the beginning? You not even from here! You not even from this country! I could’ve went straight to: Ice-T f***ed you in the bathroom for $2,000 when you was doing waitressing. I didn’t even go there! You used to f**k in the bathroom at the Kit Kat Club or one of them old-a** clubs. Stop, you a video vixen!

“They either threw her under the bus or they said, ‘F**k it, let’s get the ratings,’” Cam’ron continued. “I was gonna leave it alone, but then she said sorry. But the sorry wasn’t even genuine– that s**t was fake. I don’t even know who convinced her to do this s**t, but whoever did, that was smart because now if I sue n***as for defamation of character, I’m a sucker, right? Well, I might be a sucker. I don’t know yet, I’m thinking about it– pause.”

“I wake up and my man shows me QueenzFlip talking about, ‘None of you podcasters gonna hold down Melyssa Ford?’” he concluded. “Hold down for what?! Disrespect n***as some more?! How you co-signing her saying some s**t like that? Now she on a lonely hill? You co-signing bulls**t! I’m on a lonely hill, n***a! Shoutout to Joe Budden for hiring all these washed-up n***as.
