We say that because this one of the tracks off his album Atavista, which is an improvement over 3.15.20. Previously known as “35.21,” “Little Foot Big Foot” is sure to be one the most popular songs due to its catchy chorus and inclusion of Young Nudy. However, this song is more than that. Even though the instrumental and groove are very upbeat, the lyrics are extremely dark and talk about violence, moving drugs, etc. Gambino, and his fictional musical trio called Johnny and the Pipes, look to wow a cutthroat crowd at a nightclub with this song.

The elderly man charges at him with a gun and attempts to kill Gambino, the man winds up biting the dust instead. After some uncomfortable silence is broken by another audience member’s maniacal laughter, everyone starts enjoying the performance. It becomes memorable due to an unfortunate event and not because of the show being put on by the artist. It says a lot about how we sadly love violence so much.

Ice Spice Is Flashier Then Ever Before In New “Gimmie A Light” Music Video

Ice Spice’s Y2K era is fully underway. After she kicked off the new album with the release of “Think U The Sh*t” earlier this year the second single has finally arrived. Much like its predecessor it was also teased on social media for weeks in the lead-up to its eventual release. After teasing the title, lyrics, and even a snippet of the song with fans she shared a teaser for the music video earlier this week. Now the video is out in full and fans are unpacking the various different highly stylized scenes it deploys throughout.

The video is self-directed with Ice Spice taking over the role herself alongside two collaborators. Though it’s a short overall video matching the songs barely two-minute runtime she manages to fit a lot into it. She makes use of the pink Range Rover which was also used to promote the song earlier this week. The car makes multiple appearances as she drives it around smoking out the window and later shows off her twerking skills in the backseat. DaBaby And Skilla Baby Join Forces For Colorful “Judy” Music Video

DaBaby has one of the steepest falloffs of all time. The rapper was everywhere, then nowhere thanks to some polarizing comments and a general refusal to apologize. He’s attempting a comeback with the EP Ghetto Superstar: The Intro, and the lead single, “Judy,” has already generated a lot of buzz. The single spawned the #JudyChallenge on Instagram and TikTok, and now DaBaby has dropped the official video alongside Skilla Baby. The video delivers on the virality of the song itself, with lots of dancing and goofy expressions from the emcees.

“Judy” is a transparent swing for the fences with regards to landing a summer anthem. The thing is, the music video kind of sells it. The instrumental and the old school sample are infectious, and the visuals match up perfectly. You already know there’s going to be lots of twerking in a song about girls named Judy with big booties. If you didn’t, the chorus gives it away: “If that a*s soft, it ain’t gotta be big (x3).” The music video throws it back to the 90s, with bright clothes and a Miami bass sound that still sounds fresh. DaBaby is the official director on the video, and it’s obvious he was going for a specific, retro feel. It works.

DaBaby brings plenty of charisma in front of the camera, spitting his rapid fire verse amidst a sea of dancers. The rapper’s lighthearted interactions make it easier to overlook the fact that he’s rapping about taking out his ops. “I can’t even imagine a n**ga runnin’ down on me,” he raps with an upbeat delivery. “I get to openin’ up fire, n**ga better not get hit, b*tch.” The guest verse from Skill Baby is a much better match for the instrumental, but “Judy” didn’t go viral because of the bars. It wen viral because it’s a catchy and colorful.

She’s already dazzled fans with the music videos for songs like “Barbie World” and “Deli” and she doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon in her new era. That includes the new remix she did with Cash Cobain of his viral TikTok hit “Fisherrr.” Despite her remix leaking earlier this week it was officially released overnight and fans gravitated to it quickly. Earlier today the song got an official music video and it’s getting similar treatment from fans.

In the visuals for the song, Spice and Cobain are hanging out in an NYC Chinese restaurant. The visuals include the pair rapping from a busy kitchen, ordering takeout, and even some hilarious food shots in line with Spice’s lyrics. Those shots are intercut with the pair rapping in other places like the backseat of a car or in the street with a vintage film look. This visuals are extremely simple, as the multi-millionaire rapper sits a stool and raps his disses. “Kill you n****s for free, do it all for the thrill / N****s leakin’ they records when we speakin’ directly / If we keepin’ it gangster, when you see me, you check me.” These are far from the most degrading jabs at Drake, but the coldness of these bars are the vibe that Rozay was going for in the video.

Macaulay Culkin Was The First Choice To Play “Stan” In Eminem Video

“Stan” is a classic single. Eminem’s character study of a crazed stalker is as poignant now as the day it dropped, and it’s even become hip-hop shorthand for “intense fans.” A big part of why the song worked so well was the music video, which starred Devon Sawa as the titular character. Sawa, best known as the star of the Final Destination franchise, gives an utterly chilling yet sympathetic performance. It’s hard to imagine someone else doing a better job. That said, Macaulay Culkin was Eminem’s original choice.

Sawa shed light on his casting during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, and blew our collective minds in the process. The actor revealed that he was the second choice to play Stan after Culkin turned it down! You read that right: Eminem wanted the star of Home Alone to play his obsessed fan. “Full disclosure: they went out to Macaulay Culkin first, I believe,” Sawa told the outlet. “I think that they wanted him, and he wasn’t available, or didn’t want to do it or whatever.” Culkin was not technically an actor at the time, which may have contributed to his decision. The child star retired from Hollywood in 1995, and wouldn’t return to the big screen until Party Monster in 2003. The music video for “Stan,” meanwhile, came out in 2000.

Devon Sawa Got The Role Through Dr. Dre

Devon Sawa credited Dr. Dre with getting him the part. Apparently, the super producer saw Sawa in the first Final Destination and thought he would be a good fit. He turned out to be right. “There happened to be somebody in the casting office that knew somebody who was friends with me,” the actor recalled. He may have been the second choice, but Sawa considers “Stan” to be one of his career highlights. “It’s one of the proudest things I’ve been a part of,” he added. “I know it better now than I did that day. Because I’ve heard it millions of times since.”

Macaulay Culkin may have passed on “Stan,” but the actor actually has a pretty stellar music video resume. He appeared in the video for Michael Jackson’s iconic single “Black or White” in 1991, then returned for the Sonic Youth track “Sunday” in 1998. The actor popped up in the Pizza Underground’s “The Pizza Underground Demo” in 2014, which makes sense given that he was in the band. Culkin then played a crucified Kurt Cobain in the music video for Father John Misty’s 2017 song “Total Entertainment Forever.” He’s yet to make his hip-hop debut, but there’s still plenty of time.

Future And Metro Boomin Throw A Rave In A Broadway Theater In Their ‘Drink N Dance’ Video

In the video for “Drink N Dance” from their new album We Still Don’t Trust You, Future and Metro Boomin turn a Broadway theater into a steamy rave. Posted up outside the historic Los Angeles Theatre — I bet you didn’t know LA had a Broadway too — Future performs part of his verse in a T-shirt reading “I Am The Bad Guy.” He continues to sing and rap amid intercuts of the venue being filled with scantily clad women and extreme closeups as he gets intimate with them.

The song is a more peaceful example from the producer-rapper duo’s recent output, which has drawn most of their attention from the war-ready contributions of collaborators ASAP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, and The Weeknd. On the first installment of the double album, We Don’t Trust You, Kendrick Lamar lit into Drake and J. Cole for “sneak dissin’” him on their song “First Person Future,” while on songs from the more recent release, ASAP Rocky and The Weeknd both had words for their Canadian former collaborator.

Future and Metro are preparing to take this dichotomy on the road with their We Trust You Tour, which begins at the end of July and runs through early September.
