Diddy Wants Select Claims In Sexual Assault Lawsuit Dismissed

It’s no secret that Diddy’s been wrapped up in a great deal of legal problems as of late. The Bad Boy Records founder is facing several lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault and other alleged crimes. In addition to that, he’s currently at the center of a federal sex trafficking investigation. Two of the mogul’s mansions were raided by Homeland Security last month, putting him and his family up for more public scrutiny than ever.

Now, in one small attempt to fire back, his legal team filed a motion earlier this week to dismiss some of the claims made in Joi Dickerson-Neal’s lawsuit. She accuses Diddy of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 1991 and filed her suit in November. His team is arguing that he can’t be sued for allegedly breaking laws that weren’t in place at the time.

The motion lists statutes, including those involving revenge porn and human trafficking, that weren’t around until years after the alleged assault. Diddy’s team is asking for all claims under these statutes to be dismissed with prejudice. With that being said, they’ve also continuously denied the allegations. “This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-intentioned law [New York State’s Adult Survivors Act] can be turned on its head. Ms. Dickerson’s 32-year-old story is made up and not credible. Mr. Combs never assaulted her and she implicates companies that did not exist. This is purely a money grab and nothing more,” Diddy said previously via a spokesperson.

Lil Scrappy Accuses Bambi Of Telling Their Kids They’ll “Have A New Daddy” In Resurfaced Motion

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Bambi has accused her ex-husband Lil Scrappy of violating their divorce agreement. She alleges that there’s a clause in the agreement that prohibits either party from allowing their significant others to post photos of their children. It remains unclear exactly what significant other Bambi was referring to, however, he later appeared to clap back.

Scrappy went on to post a sweet video of Erica Dixon and other family members celebrating his daughter’s birthday, urging his followers to make the most of “happy times.” This, along with fueling rumors of a reunion between the two L&HH stars, left some fans thinking he was shading Bambi, as their children were also seen in the video.

This is far from the first time there’s been drama between the former lovers, however. In fact, amid the chatter surrounding Bambi’s recent accusations, fans have dug up an old court motion from Scrappy, in which he alleges that she did the same. Moreover, he accuses her of showing up to his home unannounced and making belittling statements about him to their kids, including that they’ll “have a new daddy.” The complaint was filed in October of 2023.

“[Bambi] continues to violate the [Scrappy’s] right to enjoy his residence free from interference. [Bambi] has engaged in willful acts of harassment by visiting the [Scrappy’s] home without his consent in direct violation of the Court Order,” the complaint reportedly read. “[Bambi’s] words are not only disgusting; yet not made in the best interests of the children.” Scrappy also took issue with Bambi publishing a children’s book using their kids’ likenesses. Jeezy Demands Privacy Amid “Increasingly Contentious” Divorce From Jeannie Mai

Back in September, it was revealed that Jeezy filed for divorce from his wife of two years, Jeannie Mai. The high-profile couple’s seemingly sudden split left fans in shock. Only weeks before, they were praising one another on social media. The former pair described their relationship as “irretrievably broken” without mentioning specifics, prompting supporters to speculate.

While some reports suggest cheating, fighting, and more was at play amid the breakup, others indicate that a simple difference in family values was the real culprit. Unfortunately, however, legal paperwork filed by Mai in December seemingly confirmed that Jeezy did her dirty, which he later denied. Amid all of this, both Jeezy and Mai have stated that their priority is their daughter, two-year-old Monaco. Earlier this week, the rapper took a step to ensure their little one is kept out of the drama, urging a judge to protect her privacy.

In a new motion obtained by Radar Online, Jeezy asks that the judge seal “sensitive personal and financial information.” He put an emphasis on keeping details about Monaco under wraps. According to him, the split has only gotten increasingly “contentious,”⁠ and both parties have been subject to scrutiny. “The parties are both public figures. Since the filing of this action, they and, most importantly, their child, have become the subject of intense media scrutiny and publications in connection with their divorce action that are directly contrary to the best interests of the child,” the filing reads.

“In addition, this litigation is tragically becoming increasingly contentious, and, as a result, it is inevitable that sensitive personal and financial information and information related to the child will necessarily be discussed and disclosed as the parties explore the issues incident to their divorce.” What do you think of Jeezy requesting privacy amid his divorce from his ex, Jeannie Mai? Diddy Dismisses Ex-Nanny’s Move To Sanction Him In New Lawsuit Motion: Report

Diddy’s legal trouble turned much nastier this year thanks to accusations of sexual assault, and his other lawsuits still rage on. Moreover, a new development emerged in his ex-nanny Raven Wales-Walden’s case against him for alleged wrongful termination, according to court documents obtained by Radar Online. Specifically, she claimed that Sean Combs and his team refused to provide important legal documentation in this case, asking for compensation in the form of $5,000. “Defendants have been completely evasive in their discovery responses,” Wales-Walden’s lawyer stated concerning this aspect. He provided this paperwork, but blasted these moves in court via his legal representative.

“Instead of filing the Motion and wasting Court and party resources, [Raven] should have consulted with [him] on a production schedule in order to understand when they would be producing the documents they committed to,” Diddy’s affiliate expressed. “Sanctions are not warranted under these circumstances, the documents sought have been produced. The Motion was irrelevant to [Diddy’s] production, and [Raven’s] counsel manufactured a dispute that did not exist.” What remains now is to see whether the court will ask for more from these documents or instead become more cautious with Wales-Walden’s requests.

Furthermore, for those unaware, this case emerged in 2022 when Raven Wales-Walden sued Diddy for wrongful termination. She claims to be a relative of his late ex-partner, Kim Porter, and claims he fired her when he found out she was pregnant out of wedlock in 2020. Puff Daddy sought to dismiss this lawsuit in May of this year with the help of a Los Angeles Superior Court judge. According to him, Wales-Walden did not “satisfactorily perform her job responsibilities, and otherwise conduct herself in accordance with the standards and policies of Combs Defendants.”

Meanwhile, the Bad Boy mogul alleged that he acted through “reasonable steps to prevent and correct workplace discrimination (if any) and to implement internal grievance processes designed to respond to, correct, remedy, or otherwise avoid the alleged harm, if any. [Raven] unreasonably failed to utilize the preventive and corrective measures that the Combs Defendants provided. Reasonable use of such procedures would have prevented at least some of the harm (if any) that [Raven] alleges to have suffered. [She was] not performing all of her job duties as required. There were some days that [Raven] received compensation for work that [she did] not perform. Jermaine Dupri’s Father Accuses Bow Wow Of Refusing “Scream Tour” Lawsuit

Back in September, Jermaine Dupri’s father Michael Mauldin sued Bow Wow for allegedly using the trademarked name Scream Tour without permission. Mauldin would have needed to serve him a notice of the complaint within 90 days of filing, however, he claims that he’s been unable to do so. In court documents obtained by AllHipHop, he asks for an extension, accusing Bow Wow of refusing service of the complaint.

“The extension of time would aid in timely locating and serving defendant, who has been thus far unattainable since the initial filing of the complaint on September 21, 2023 due to the refusal of service by defendant’s counsel and the refusal of service at defendant’s address in Atlanta, Georgia,” the motioned, filed earlier this week reads. “The extension of time would also prevent further delay in the case by avoiding a dismissal without prejudice and subsequent refiling of the Complaint. The proposed extension of time to serve the Defendant would extend the current deadline from December 20, 2023 to March 19, 2024.”

Keke Palmer’s Ex Darius Jackson Accuses Her Of Domestic Violence

According to new court documents obtained by RadarOnline, the father of Keke Palmer’s child, Darius Jackson, has accused the performer of abuse. Reportedly, he filed a motion today (December 15) alleging that she physically assaulted him on various instances. He accuses her of “violently” gripping his arm, punching him in the face at a birthday party, and more.

On top of his allegations of physical abuse, he also claims that Palmer has hurled insults at him on multiple occasions, calling him a “loser,” “punk,” “b*tch,” and more. Jackson additionally alleges that Palmer once called him 200 times and sent him 50 emails after a spat, when he told her he wouldn’t be staying with her overnight. He provided text messages in attempts to back up his claims, which appear to show Palmer admitting that she felt “ashamed” of the way she had treated him during a disagreement.

“I’m sorry for hitting you,” Palmer allegedly wrote. “I’m sorry for being afraid to lose you and that turning into me acting out of fear and desperation. That was not the best me that you received and I’m sorry for that.” In a subsequent message, she seemingly advised him to pray about the situation. “I am mad at the situation, I’m mad at myself … I’m deeply affected and afraid because it’s such a deep heaviness that I don’t want to feel anymore. It’s not your fault nor your job to alleviate it from me,” she also added, per the outlet. “I honestly need you to pray on it.”

Jackson is also pushing for Palmer’s restraining order against him to be dropped. The news comes after Palmer accused Jackson of physical and emotional abuse in November, filing for a restraining order and custody of their son, Leodis. YNW Melly’s Lead Attorney Motions For Mistrial

On the fourth day of YNW Melly’s double murder trial, his case took an interesting and possibly foreboding turn. Moreover, correspondent Bryson “Boom” Paul reported via Twitter that the rapper’s lead attorney, David A. Howard, requested a mistrial in the case. It’s unclear, at least based on Paul’s initial report, what the motive behind the motion was. Other reports suggest that the mistrial was suggested by the defense after the state brought in evidence that caused too much prejudice in the trial. For those unaware, this refers to evidence that does not further the facts of the case, but rather creates a bias in favor of or in this case against the defendant.

In any case, it seems like the involvement of family members, ex-girlfriends, leaked DMs, and more have cause the jury to become too tainted in the defense’s eyes. Furthermore, Paul reported that Judge Murphy III took the motion for a mistrial under advisement. The court will discuss on Tuesday, June 20 once trial resumes. Until that day comes, this is the last we will hear of YNW Melly’s case in the courtroom.

Regardless, debate erupted online as to whether this motion actually means that the Gifford native will walk. Many on Twitter pointed out that it is up to the judge to determine whether a mistrial is in order. As such, celebrations of the request from the “Mixed Personalities” MC’s supporters are moot until it’s approved. Others claimed that if the court deems a case a mistrial on prejudice, then the defendant cannot be tried again. However, this seems to be mostly speculative and largely unconfirmed by the courts, reporters, or other trusted sources. In most cases, an approved mistrial still allows the defendant to be tried again.

In addition, the court’s decision will paint what this mistrial represents: an effort to preserve justice or to dismiss relevant evidence. While it for now seems to fall under the former category, no one can truly know for sure. This is also another potential victory after the court sided with the 24-year-old by not allowing other evidence to be presented based on prejudice. While Metron Boomin’s new Spider-Man: Across The Spiderverse soundtrack is heavily focused on hip-hop, the renowned producer also linked up with James Blake for “Hummingbird.” Elsewhere, a collaborative effort between RJAE and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie called “Remember That,” also caught our attention.
