New York MC Rowdy Rebel has been in the game for about eight years now. Since he is a veteran in the industry, you would think he would have a ton of material out. However, the opposite is actually true. To be fair, some of that certainly attributed to the legal trouble he was involved in with Bobby Shmurda, back in 2014. However, it is still a surprise that he only has five projects to his name.

But, this past year or so has seen him make up for lost time behind bars. Rowdy has dropped three projects with the latest being Back Outside. This is a quick follow-up to his April release with Fetty Luciano, Splash Brothers. His co-partner happens to land on this project too.

Hitkidd Reaches For Memphis Talent Only On His Latest Record “Renegade”

A lot of the rappers that have been popping off this year have been coming from the Midwest. A lot of them are based out of Memphis, Tennessee. Ones to note include GloRilla, K Carbon, Gloss Up, Aleza, and more. If you want to check them out, you can do so on Hitkidd’s latest project.

He is also from Memphis but stays on the producing side of things. He has been providing beats for some big hits this year, including Glo’s “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).” That was one of the promotional singles for Hitkidd’s Renegade. In fact, almost every artist on here is from TN.

Night Lovell Drops A New Set Of Grimy Trap Bangers On “I HOPE YOU’RE HAPPY”

We got our first official announcement of Night Lovell’s upcoming project back in early August. The Canadian rapper dropped the hint on his social media, namely Instagram. It featured a selfie of him with a confused look on his face, with the caption simply saying, “aLbUm?” Then, just over two months later Lovell shared that he wrapped up recording it.

That was done on Twitter, now known as X. Shortly after that, the Ottawa artist put out the second single for I HOPE YOU’RE HAPPY. It was called “MY DAY IS RUINED !” A heavy-hitting trunk-knocking banger with horrorcore elements. However, we unknowingly got our first look at the LP with a 2022 track, “Eye Spy.”

Conway The Machine Releases Another Cut From Forthcoming Record “Mind Tricks” Featuring KNDRX

Buffalo New Yorker and Griselda star Conway the Machine is putting his stamp on 2023. The prolific coke rapper might be having his most jam-packed year in his lengthy career. In 12 months the man will have put out/been a part of six projects. Meaning, that every two months, on average, Conway has had a new album out. It is crazy to think about, but you have to appreciate the amount of material he has been able to get to his fans.

Some will say it is too much, but at least for the most part, it is quality music. In the next couple of weeks, Conway will be teaming up with producer Wun Two for a collaborative LP. It will be called PALERMO and will feature only KNDRX and Goosebytheway. That is at least all the information we have right now. The other bits we can disclose are that it will drop on December 22 and four singles are available now.

The 26-second preview, previously captioned “Approaching [Gag City],” came to life as the backdrop for Minaj’s track, “Big Difference.” Fans expressed their excitement through social media. Sean Leon’s career has been long and not many people may know about that. The Canadian singer and rapper has been at it since 2013 and has not slowed down at all. Sure he may take a year or two off, but when he returns, it is in a big way. For example, after a few releases in 2014, Leon waited until 2017 to come back. But, he would give the fans three projects that year. He is making up for lost time once again after taking a break after 2018, to drop tree projects in the last year or so.

This one could be his most emotional one yet. In Loving Memory is a tribute album and a soundtrack all wrapped into one. His brother tragically lost his life in 2020 and he is remembering him in a big way. There will be (?) an accompanying film called House of Leon. There is not a whole lot of information on it. It could be out or it could not be. Regardless, this album is truly stunning.

Leon brings on some familiar faces like Daniel Caesar and Kanye West. There was a good amount of hype about this project for that reason.
