Baby Rose & BADBADNOTGOOD Team Up For Vibrant New EP “Slow Burn”

North Carolina-based singer Baby Rose already has multiple projects under her belt. The R&B darling has collaborated with the likes of Erick The Architect, Big K.R.I.T, and Ari Lennox. But her new project is an unexpected collaboration that digs deeper than any of her previous team-ups. She and Canadian jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD just dropped a new 6-track EP called Slow Burn. The project was led off by the song “One Last Dance” back in March. The song has racked up nearly 1.5 million streams on Spotify in less than a month since its release.

Now the full project is out and it adds up to 23 minutes of material spread across 6 tracks. The sound of the EP is a relaxed and vintage vibe that fittingly finds a midpoint between BBNG’s smooth jazz side and Baby Rose’s soulful demeanor. Highlights like opener “On My Mind” show off what makes Rose’s voice so unique. And on the track “Caroline” she teams up with Mereba to show off how well her singing pairs with other vocalists. Check out the poised and vibrant sounds of their new Slow Burn EP below.

Baby Rose & BADBADNOTGOOD Meet In The Middle Of Their Styles

BADBADNOTGOOD are no strangers to unconventional collaborations. Back un 2015 they teamed up with Wu-Tang rapper Ghostface Killah for an entire collaborative album called Sour Soul. The project features appearances from artists like Danny Brown, MF DOOM, and more. Late last year the band was part of a huge collaboration. They teamed up with Griselda rappers Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine as well as 88RISING project 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE for a massive posse cut called “Mint Chocolate.”

What do you think of Baby Rose and BADBADNOTGOOD’s new collaborative EP Slow Burn? What other artists do you think could make for a successful unconventional pairing? Let us know in the comment section below.

Future And Metro Boomin Return With New Album “We Still Don’t Trust You”

Future and Metro Boomin are back in action with a brand-new album just three weeks after dropping their highly acclaimed We Don’t Trust You. The dynamic duo continue the chemistry today with the release of We Still Don’t Trust You. The 25-track project dose of their signature sound. It’s comprised of 18 tracks on Disc 1 and 7 tracks on Disc 2. Social media could hardly wait for this project to drop. And so far, it’s living up to expectations.

The first instillation of We Don’t Trust You marked a milestone for Future and Metro Boomin, serving as their first full-length album together. The project garnered widespread praise, with standout tracks like “Like That,” featuring Kendrick Lamar’s infamous guest verse that captured the attention of fans and critics alike. Moreover, his verse sparked a feud since he threw shots at J. Cole and Drake. Furthermore, We Still Don’t Trust You is coming in hot with a lineup that’s straight fire, featuring heavyweight collabs with top dogs like The Weeknd on the title track. Surprisingly J. Cole makes an appearance on “Red Leather,” after dropping his return-diss track just a week ago. Moreover, J. Cole took back all his comments and praised Kendrick Lamar at Dreamville fest.

Moreover, this new album is not playing it safe. Future and Metro Boomin are flipping the script, stepping out of the typical hip-hop/trap comfort zone and diving headfirst into uncharted territory. They’re pushing the boundaries, continuing to fuel the beef, and we’re here for every second of it. Moreover, despite the recent success of We Don’t Trust You, Future and Metro Boomin wasted no time in striking while the iron is hot. The duo’s decision to release a second album so soon after the first speaks volumes about their creative energy and dedication to their craft.

In addition, speculation initially arose that this drop was going to be the deluxe edition of We Don’t Trust You. However, Metro Boomin quickly put these rumors to rest, confirming that the new album is an entirely separate body of work. What’s your favorite track so far? Let us know on HNHH!

Chris Brown Gifts Fans With A Deluxe Version Of “11:11” Album

Chris Brown has more to say. Five months after releasing 11:11, the R&B singer is back with a deluxe version of the album. This deluxe version features 13 more songs and a plethora of new features. It also includes the track “Freak,” which has been getting lots of buzz online due to its perceived lyrical shots at Migos and rapper Quavo, in particular. It appears Drake and Kendrick Lamar aren’t the only superstars who want to go to war in 2024.

11:11 was a hugely successful release, spawning the hit single “Summer Too Hot” and earning Brown a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance. The deluxe version looks to keep the hot streak going. It boasts a stacked list of guest stars that include Joyner Lucas, Tea Grizzly, and Bryson Tiller. There’s also going to be a Lil Wayne verse on “Freak,” which bodes very well given the track record Breezy and Weezy have together. As was previously noted, though, most of the attention on “Freak” has spawned from Brown’s combative lyrics.

Chris Brown’s “11:11” Deluxe Has 13 New Songs

“Ok, now f***in’ my old b****es ain’t gone make us equal,” Brown raps. “Sippin’ that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Quavo. Freak b***h, she Casamigos not the Migos.” This isn’t the first time the singer has publicly discussed his issues with Quavo. Brown reportedly argued with all three members of Migos at the 2017 BET Awards, and Offset threatened to “smack the s**t” out of Brown on a 2019 Instagram Story. It all stems from the fact that Quavo briefly dated Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, in 2017. “Freak” is the definite standout on the 11:11 deluxe version, with the rest being the standard R&B/pop fodder one would expect from Brown.

What do you think of the deluxe version of Chris Brown’s latest album, 11:11? Do you think it’s a better batch of songs than the standard version? Do you think Quavo is going to respond to the “Freak” diss? Whatever the case, let us know your thoughts down in the comments section below. For more news and the latest updates on Chris Brown, come back to HNHH.

King Hendrick$ Is Aiming For “Mega Star” Status On New Album

King Hendrick$ is not the nickname of Kendrick Lamar, but rather a rapper who likes to keep a low profile on the internet. Not much is known about the artist in terms of where he comes from, age, and all the other basic information. What we do know is that he is signed to Hitmaker Music Group and even on their website they do not list anything about him. Furthermore, this also our first time covering the rapper so we will do our best with the information we have. Not too long ago, King Hendrick$ put out a new project Mega Star.

He had quite the productive year in 2023, working harder than most by dropping five records. Furthermore, Hendrick$ was working with artists like Babyface Ray, Valee, and Top$ide. So, his fans may be expecting another massive 12 months. He has certainly being living up to that so far, with single after single and this new album.

TisaKorean Is In His Own Lane With “MUMU 8818”

TisaKorean is one of the wildest rappers out in the wild west. The Texas native is doing essentially the opposite of what artists do in the Southwest. Instead of woozy, slow-mo sounds that have moodier tones, Tisa opts for colorful and high-energy cuts. He has done that throughout his six-year career and is doing more of the same on his latest album. Over the weekend TisaKorean came through with MUMU 8818, marking his first record in just over a year. It is a tight, 10-track record with no features.

It is just Tisa being creative and we are all ears for it. Honestly, it makes sense as to why he is riding solo for the second consecutive album. There just are not many rappers out there who mesh well with him. That in and of itself is a great quality to possess as a creator and it makes MUMU 8818 that much more enjoyable.

Up until the release of TisaKorean’s seventh project, he only gave fans one sneak peek of it with “UCCI” back during the first week and a half of March. Some our favorites so far include “SLUTTALK,” “8818,” and “UCCI.” All three that trademark uniqueness that draws us into Tisa’s music. Whether that be the sticky flows and delivers or the production, there is always something to enjoy from each of these cuts. Be sure to check out MUMU 8818 with the links above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album, MUMU 8818, by TisaKorean? Which songs are you gravitating toward right now? What is the best song on here? RiTchie Delivers His Abstract Debut “Triple Digits [112]”

With the unfortunate passing of Injury Reserve talent Stepa J. Groggs back in 2020, the alternative trio was sadly split up. After some assuredly hard thinking and tough conversations, rapper RiTchie and producer Parker Corey decided to close that chapter of their musical careers in solidarity. That happened back in July of 2023 and the now duo is referred to as By Storm. With this new regime in place, it means new music. RiTchie has been hard at work with that task since last summer, and now we have his debut album Triple Digits [112].

RiTchie gave us our first of the release back in February with “RiTchie Valens.” Then, just about two weeks later, he would collaborate with the equally fun Amine for “Dizzy.” Finally, he would deliver one last look into in the album with the hallucinating and abstract track “Looping.” The latter adjective is exactly how we would describe this entire listening experience.

Listen To Triple Digits [112] By RiTchie

But it is very on brand with RiTchie and everything By Storm is about. That is unorthodox ideas, flows, beats, and all of the above. With all of these different soundscapes you would think a lot of hands would be all over this project. However, the opposite is true, as Triple Digits has a total of nine producers, including RiTchie and Parker, as well as just 10 writers. It might sound all over the place on the surface, but the album comes together seamlessly.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album, Triple Digits [112], by RiTchie? What songs are you gravitating toward right now? Who had the strongest guest appearance on the record and why? Do you see him having a successful solo career after this? What is the best song on here? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding RiTchie and By Storm. Finally, stay with us for the most informative project posts throughout the week.

Lil Yachty’s Concrete Boys Begin To Forge Their Own Path On “It’s Us Vol. 1”

Back in the middle of December, a new song from a rap group by the name of Concrete Boys hit YouTube. It was called “MO JAMS” and featured the talents of Lil Yachty, KARRAHBOOO, Dc2trill, and Draft Day. That was the inception of the collective that now also includes Camo! Next, they would go on to perform for On The Radar, and then drop a series of tracks in the process from the different artists. Finally, shortly after Yachty created Concrete Kekordz at the end of March, him and the gang dropped It’s Us Vol. 1.

The heavily backed record label now has its first record, and it is a fun listen pretty much all the way through. It keeps a pretty tight tracklist at just 16 cuts that last about 47 minutes. Additionally, all of the members have plenty of opportunities to showcase their respective talents. Everyone has a discernable sound, so it does not feel like you are listening to five artists wrapped into one.

As we mentioned this album is a part of Concrete Rekordz and it has tremendous support. Quality Control, the label that signed Yachty from the start, is tied to this project. Be sure to give It’s Us Vol. 1 a listen with the links above.

Bryson Tiller Debuts A New Era On Self-titled Album

Bryson Tiller’s claim to fame was his debut album T R A P S O U L back in 2015. However, this new project over here, his self-titled LP, could overtake the throne for his best work. The Louisville, Kentucky rapper and singer has been taking some time to conjure up something fresh and diverse and that is exactly what this record offers up.

This was probably the smartest move Bryson could have made. While his first album is considered a modern R&B classic, the sound would grow a little stale on True to Self and A N N I V E R S A R Y. There was still quality on both, but adding some spice to the instrumentals and cadences is a welcome sight. Leading up to Bryson Tiller’s self-titled album he put out “Whatever She Wants” and “Stay Gold,” as part of his SLUM TILLER series that dropped on Soundcloud. Those projects were a part of his Tiller Tuesdays release schedule that began earlier this year.

Both were fan-favorites and now they make it onto the album. Additionally, Bryson dropped a third track, “CALYPSO,” which has also been a success. The progressive instrumental that mixes dancehall and R&B brings a fun and loose listening experience from beginning to end. Those two adjectives can describe the journey from track one to track 19. Bryson Tiller is back in full force and with an enticing new direction in the process.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album, Bryson Tiller, by Bryson Tiller? Is this his best body of work ever, why or why not? What songs are you gravitating toward right now? Pharrell Williams Stuns Everyone With New Album “Black Yacht Rock Vol. 1”

What a day for hip-hop. We now have not one, but two surprise albums from some of the best in the business. Legendary producer, singer, and rapper Pharrell Williams has just come through with Black Yacht Rock Vol. 1. That is the hyphenated title for this project, or at least one of the three names you can call it. It is also being referred to as Virginia, Black Yacht Rock, or City of Limitless Access.

This is the Virginia native’s first solo album since 2014’s G I R L and it may be coming before a separate project. He has been dropping some singles such as “Cash In Cash Out,” “Down In Atlanta,” and “Airplane Tickets.” Time will tell when all of those tracks culminate into a full listening experience. For now, let us discuss Black Yacht Rock Vol. 1.

J Cole Drops Surprise Album “Might Delete Later” And Disses Kendrick Lamar In The Process

J Cole came through and shocked the world this morning as he delivered a surprise album called “Might Delete Later.” Overall, no one thought this was going to happen. After all, he had noted that his next album would be The Fall Off. Thankfully, you don’t have to worry. As he explains on this album, The Fall Off is still on the way. That said, we now have 12 new Cole tracks to sink our teeth into. This comes amid his new feud with Kendrick Lamar, which was sparked thanks to the “Like That” verse.

In fact, Cole comes through with a response to Kendrick on this album. However, you will have to skip all the way to the final track to get it. On “7 Minute Drill,” Cole takes aim at the fact that Kendrick is someone who takes large breaks between albums. He also goes on to say that albums like To Pimp A Butterfly are boring and that Mr. Morale was tragic. Ultimately, this is the kind of response that is going to elicit a ton of comments on social media. Whether or not it works out for Cole in the end, remains to be seen.
