Pharrell Williams Says He Feels Like He’s Known Beyonce For “Many Lives”

Pharrell Williams has opened up about his deep relationship with Beyoncé. His comments came while discussing the jumpsuit he helped create for her Renaissance World Tour. Pharrell currently serves as the Men’s Creative Director for Louis Vuitton. Furthermore, he helped create a bejeweled jumpsuit that Beyoncé wore during her current tour. While doing that, he also spoke about the connection he feels with the music superstar. Beyoncé and Jay-Z showed out in Paris earlier this year to support Pharrell’s first Paris Fashion Week show as the LV Creative Director.

“Beyoncé is a rare spirit,” Pharrell began. “The idea that I know her as a human being and have known her for all this time and our connection, I feel like I’ve known this person for many lives.” Of the jumpsuit, Pharrell said he wanted to create something totally unique and totally Beyoncé. “The idea here was to give her something that allows her body to set the template,” he stated. “Not only its shape and its form, which is basically informed by her spirit. Your body is literally a spiritual encasement. Continue to celebrate her shape and her form, but also make her feel free at the same time.”

Pharrell also revealed that he had created outfits for Blue Ivy as well. Blue has accompanied her mother for much of the tour’s North American leg. Furthermore, the 11-year-old has earned widespread praise for her dancing and other on-stage antics. However, it’s not been exclusively positive news from the tour.

A stagehand has been called out after a video from Beyoncé’s show in Boston appeared to show the man grope the singer’s ass during her performance. As she was being lowered into a large vehicle that served as part of the set design, the production assistant is very clearly seen his hand resting on the royal backside. This sent the internet into a frenzy, with many people joking that the man was getting fired. These reactions were exacerbated by additional video of Julius, Beyoncé’s longtime security guard, chasing after the singer after the incident.

Travis Scott Shows Off $120K Louis Vuitton Trunk From Pharrell Auction

Travis Scott recently took to Instagram to show off some pricey Louis Vuitton to his followers. In an Instagram Story posted today (July 12), he showcases a rainbow LV trunk, which he reportedly purchased at Pharrell’s auction last year. The auction featured various pieces of clothing, jewelry, and more, bringing in over $5 million. A Travis Scott fan page was able to link the trunk posted by Travis to the one auctioned by Pharrell last October. The trunk sold for $121,250.

Pharrell’s auctioned LV trunk isn’t the only notable arm candy Travis has been spotted with recently. In the past few months, Travis has been spotted various times alongside security personnel holding a briefcase labeled UTOPIA. Some fans think that the highly-anticipated upcoming album will be released later this month. Earlier this week, he announced that he’d be performing at the the pyramids in Egypt on July 28. Some believe this will also be the day that he’ll finally drop the LP.

Travis Scott has continued to tease UTOPIA, as well as the eagerly-awaited LP’s features. Previously, it was speculated that The Weeknd would appear on the album, after he shared a photo on Instagram alongside the briefcase. Recently, this news appeared to be confirmed by the co-founder of XO Records. The album is also believed to feature Young Thug, Westside Gunn, Swae Lee, and more.

Pharrell has been showing off his own Louis Vuitton lately, being photographed with a bright yellow speedy bag reportedly worth $1 million. The “millionaire speedy” is part of Pharrell’s first collection as the creative director of menswear at LV. In June, he revealed that “Every part on the bag is [gold].” “The teeth on the zipper is gold, all the hardware, every rivet. This is gold. Obviously diamonds. This chain is real. It has a real strap but you know — so be it, so be it,” he explained.. He debuted the collection last month at a runway show which was attended by countless celebrity guests.

Pharrell Flexes On Kendrick Lamar With “Millionaire Speedy” Bag

Recently, photos that show Pharrell Williams flexing his Louis Vuitton Speedy are circulating the internet. In the photos, Pharrell shows the bag to Kendrick Lamar, appearing to be in the process of explaining details. The bag, dubbed the “Millionaire Speedy,” is reportedly worth $1 million. Kendrick seems to be impressed by the expensive, bright yellow duffle. The bag is meant to “[conjure] the attitude and hustle mentality of Canal Street in an everyday icon conceived for every walk of life,” according to a LV press release.

“Every part on the bag is [gold],” Pharrell explained in June, “This is different.” He continued, “This is called the Millionaire. It comes with millionaires.” “Every bit of the bag is gold like the zipper,” he also says, “the teeth on the zipper is gold, all the hardware, every rivet. This is gold. Obviously diamonds. This chain is real. It has a real strap but you know — so be it, so be it.”

Pharrell Shows Off His Million Dollar Louis Vuitton

The striking bag is part of Pharrell’s recently-debuted Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2024 menswear collection. He showcased the collection, his first as the new LV men’s creative director, last month during Paris Fashion Week. Since then, Pharrell has been photographed carrying the bag, which is “cut from crocodile leather and affixed with both a chunky gold chain and diamond padlock, all handmade in one of LV’s fairly young leather ateliers,” various times. It’s that the Neptunes artist is proud of the flashy, and pricey, creation.

At the end of last month, an independent fashion designer came forward to accuse Pharrell of stealing one her designs. The designer, Kellie Ford, had previously shared a TikTok where she’s seen turning a Louis Vuitton shopping bag into a purse. The TikTok went viral in 2021, and Pharrell just recently shared his similar design at his debut as LV men’s creative director. Though it’s unconfirmed whether or not Pharrell took inspiration from Ford’s creation, it’s clear that the two bags look pretty similar.

Pharrell Williams Stuns With Family In Photo From His Louis Vuitton Show

As Louis Vuitton’s new creative director for menswear, Pharrell Williams ins enjoying a lot of success right now. Most recently, for Paris Fashion Week, the Virginia creative hosted a star-studded show of his collection, making for quite the luxurious affair. However, the biggest stars present were none other than the 50-year-old’s family. His wife Helen Lasichanh attended, along with their eldest son Rocket and their five-year-old triplets. Of course, they all attended the show in matching tuxedos, which was as fashionable as it was adorable. With a bright future ahead for the designer at LV, we can only expect many more cute family pics to come.

However, that’s not to say that the Neptunes producer’s tenure hasn’t been without its slight hiccups. For example, an independent fashion designer claimed that Pharrell and Louis Vuitton stole her shopping bag-turned-luxury bag idea for their new collection. While many argued that it wasn’t her place to profit off of the brand in the first place (although it was never clarified that she sold them), hopefully they at least acknowledge her creativity. After all, some of the biggest names in fashion got their start by revitalizing and reimagining items from the biggest brands at the time.

Regardless, the PFW Louis Vuitton show also brought about some waves in music, albeit for relatively unrelated reasons. Pusha T and No Malice previewed an unreleased Clipse single at the show, on which Push took apparent shots at Jim Jones. He responded with a diss track of his own, and now it’s up in the air whether the feud will continue with a response from Pusha. As such, whether you’re a fan of fashion, music, or rap beef, there was something to admire about Pharrell’s first event leading LV.

Meanwhile, the “Down In Atlanta” star is holding on to that title with some humility. Additionally, as you can imagine, Rihanna was just in Paris for Fashion Week. This edition of Fashion Week was particularly huge as it marked Pharrell’s first collection with Louis Vuitton. The Spring/Summer 2024 show was a huge one as there were performances from Jay-Z, Pharrell, and even new music from Clipse. Riri and ASAP Rocky were on hand for this show, and their presence was most definitely felt. Now, however, Rihanna is front and center in the latest Louis Vuitton campaign video.

This new video was posted on YouTube today by the official Louis Vuitton channel. Throughout the 41-second clip, Rihanna can be seen in the street repping the new LV line, while also carrying some handbags. In a statement, the brand said the campaign was “created to alter perceptions, challenge history, and evolve an existing legacy. Personified by a pregnant Rihanna – a symbol of human empowerment and the quintessential everyday icon – the men’s campaign reflects the re-contextualization at the core of Pharrell Williams’ approach to the maison.”

Jim Jones Responds To Pusha T In New Diss Track

Jim Jones fired back at Pusha T in a new diss track released on Saturday night. The Clipse rapper had called him out in a song that debuted at Pharrell’s first Louis Vuitton show, earlier this week. A preview of Jones’ response originally found its way online, Friday, showcasing lyrics suggesting that Pusha T sells crack to his older sibling and Clipse partner, No Malice.

In the full song, Jones goes even further, targeting Pusha’s fashion sense, calling him overrated, and more. “That shit was trash we gonna let them get a do over/They got you gassed, they must think you’re the new Hova/You a 4.0, n***a, I jumped in the new rover/Your brother still jumping on the bed, tell him ‘Move over,’” Jones raps at one point, as noted by Complex.

In another section, he adds: “You be dressing kinda weird man you really need a stylist/Plus we all know what you identify with/Plus you kinda, sorta dress, n***a, you been a fly bitch/And then he said I was trying to chase a feature/N***a’s a gorilla cause he got some apes in his features/All my gorillas got stones, I’ll have these apes come and meet you.”

In Pusha T’s initial diss, he accused Jim Jones of attaching himself to Drake in order to stay relevant. He rapped: “You think it’d be valor amongst veterans/ I’m watching your fame escape relevance/ We all in a room but here’s the elephant/ You chasing a feature out of your element.”

The beef between Jones and Pusha T kicked off when the Dipset rapper argued that Pusha isn’t a top 50 rapper. He discussed his reasoning on The RapCaviar Podcast back in April. Jones once again referenced the ranking on Instagram while reacting to Pusha’s diss track. “That was not a top 50 verse,” he said. “Not at all. Still not in my top 50.”

Pharrell & Louis Vuitton Accused By Fashion Designer Of Stealing Her Idea

Pharrell is having a ball as Louis Vuitton’s head designer, though it hasn’t come without some scrutiny as of late. Moreover, an independent fashion designer Kellie Ford recently claimed that the Neptunes creative and LV stole her idea for a bag as part of their new collection. In a series of TikToks, she details how she went viral in 2021 for turning a shopping bag from the brand into a stylish purse. In addition, Ford drew connections between the look of that item and the new accessory in question, also inspired by the shopping bag. Regardless of where you fall on the debate, it’s hard to deny that it’s quite the murky affair.

First of all, as many pointed out in comments of coverage of the allegations, the designer was using Louis Vuitton’s image in the first place. However, it’s unclear whether Ford actually sought to make a profit off of the bag by selling it, so copyright claims might not actually hold any ground. Dapper Dan was one of many who praised her, and he started out doing a similar practice with Gucci and eventually went on to work for them. Between differences in material, questions over creative credit, and the clear viral nature of the video, there’s a lot to discuss here when it comes to whether to not Pharrell bit the idea.

In any case, it’s also not entirely implausible to think that these two talented creatives had a similar idea separately. After all, what easier way is there to inspire yourself to make a bag than by looking at another bag, albeit a shopping one? As such (and given that Ford said she wasn’t necessarily mad about it), it will be interesting to see if this actually develops into something larger. Hopefully the designer follows a similar trajectory as others and eventually gets hit up to work at the fashion brand, because her creativity certainly merits it.

Meanwhile, the star producer is turning heads everywhere he goes during Paris Fashion Week. After a star-studded show, his first forays in Louis Vuitton are proving to be quite successful. Pharrell Wins Paris Fashion Week With His $1M Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag

Paris Fashion Week has seen many of the biggest names in hip-hop take over France in style this month. Of course, none of them are doing it quite like Pharrell. The Virginia-born creative was actually one of the main events earlier in the week as he made his debut as the menswear designer of Louis Vuitton on June 20. As expected, the collection has been receiving rave reviews so far. However, internet trolls are comparing some of the looks to Minecraft characters due to their pixel patterning.

In the days since proudly unveiling his first collection, Pharrell has been spotted supporting various other designers at their runways. His longtime friend Nigo impressed with his work at the Kenzo show. As High Snobiety notes, he’s also been photographed at Junya Watanabe and Dior’s presentation. The producer’s wife, Helen Lasichanh, was by his side (cooly dressed and looking naturally radiant), and his eldest son, Rocket Williams, joined them to see Kim Jones’ latest work.

Coi Leray Attends Paris Fashion Week In Style In Latest Photo Dump

Also, she posed with various celebrities and plugged her new album COI, which drops tomorrow (June 23).

Styled by @louisvuitton head to toe.” With recent singles, music videos, social media teases, and more, people are quite excited to hear her latest full-length offering. Wrap that up with a song on Metro Boomin’s Across The Spider-Verse soundtrack and you have a very prolific and dominant rollout. Still, Coi Leray hasn’t stopped looking towards the future, and recently commented on the chances of one particular feature.

Furthermore, she recently sat down with Math Hoffa on his My Expert Opinion podcast. During their conversation, they spoke about the 26-year-old’s father Benzino and how she will always stand by and support him. Sure, they’ve had their differences in the past, but ones that that they’ve always been able to reconcile. In fact, Coi Leray said that said loyalty runs so deep that she would turn down an Eminem collab if he didn’t want it to happen, given their historic beef.

“I would sit down with my father, first of all, and bring it up to him,” she remarked “I wouldn’t even ask. I’d be like, ‘Yo, listen. This is what happened. I’m not even expecting an answer.
