Loe Shimmy Selects Brent Faiyaz To Accompany Him For Remix Of Hit “For Me”

Since bubbling at the start of the 2020’s decade, Florida rapper Loe Shimmy is easily having his biggest year yet in 2024. The Pompano Beach native has ramped up his production exponentially, as he has put out now four projects. His Zombie series of records has ballooned up to 4.5 now thanks to him kicking things off with Zombieland 2 back in March. The .5, or .6 in this case, comes from the deluxe version of that aforementioned record. Finally, the latest entry is The Z Files, which features a series of remasters and other songs. However, that fourth project has broken the streak and its titled Nardy World.

It’s out as of today, November 8, but we want to shift our focus to one track in particular. Loe Shimmy and Brent Faiyaz are generating some buzz for their left-field collaboration, “For Me.” Outside of it being an unexpected link-up, it’s creating some excitement thanks to “For Me” being Loe’s biggest song. For context, the Zombieland 2 cut currently boasts over 12.5 million streams. Given the stark stylistic difference of these two, you would think this collaboration would have zero chance. Well, to be honest, it’s actually pretty decent. Faiyaz comes in with some of his smoothest vocals to date over the understated and lowkey skittering production. He steals the show to some degree, and we wouldn’t mind hearing him over the beat by himself someday. But let us know how you are feeling about it below.

Quotable Lyrics:

So much is in the way, babe
Ain’t no one above the two of us
And I know you put that on for me
I know you put that on for me
Stayin’ away (Yeah), I can’t stay away
And I know, and I know you put that on for me

Loe Shimmy And Cash Cobain Turn Up The Heat On “Confession” Single

Loe Shimmy makes mellow music. He’s not for the clubs, he’s for late night drives and headphones. He provides listeners with subtle, melody-driven hip hop. The notion of him linking up with Cash Cobain was not a slam dunk on paper, given that Cobain has made his name with snappier, more dance-friendly hits. Fortunately, the combination worked out wonderfully. Loe Shimmy and Cash Cobain joined forces on the new single “Confession,” which manages to cater to the strengths of both artists.

The Cash Cobain stimulus package is in full effect here. The snaps, and the producer tag are heard at the top of the song, but “Confession” is a bit different. It’s glitchy, but it’s also slower, and more subdued than most of Cobain’s biggest hits. The change works. Loe Shimmy finds a pocket during the first verse, slipping effortlessly into the beat with his catchy delivery. Cobain has a different approach when he picks up the song during the second half, but the switch up works to the song’s advantage. Loe Shimmy and Cash Cobain sound wildly different on record, and it’s these sonic disparities that make “Confession” a compelling listen, ultimately.

Let us know what you think of this brand-new track, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Loe Shimmy Is Feeling Cold & Alone On “All My Love”

Loe Shimmy is a living embodiment of the Florida rap scene. He has the synonymous raspy/croaky delivery, and he also bust out the melodies when required. Well, Loe Shimmy is doing just that on this latest single, “All My Love”. This is the Pompano Beach resident’s newest offering, and it supersedes his May 10 release, “Zuper”. That single featured another fellow Floridian, Wizz Havinn. But this time, Loe (L.O.E. Shimmy) is flying solo, which makes a lot of sense in this case.

“All My Love” features the 25-year-old rapper and singer in a vulnerable position, as he gets candid about his loneliness. He feels there are a lot of people that are out on him. Those include friends, women, and even his family. “Love my baby mama / But she hate me / What’s that all about? / Momma acting different“.

For Loe, both of these 2024 tracks could be the start of a new album rollout. Another one that could be considered as a potential promo cut is “Miami”, which dropped back in the middle of February. The prolific MC has a project out for this year, Zombieland 2. The 24-song behemoth featured the likes of BLP KOSHER, Luh Tyler, Veeze, and ffawty. Loe Shimmy & Wizz Havinn Rep Florida ON “Zuper”

With the Florida rap scene being ran by acts like Kodak Black, Denzel Curry, and the late great XXXTENTACION, some of the new kids in the block want a turn. Loe Shimmy and Wizz Havinn are two of those names looking to make an impact with songs like “Zuper.” This one of a handful of collaborations from these East Coast natives and it is their second already this year. Their last effort was “4AM at Coffee Zone” with features from other FL rising stars Luh Tyler, BossMan Dlow, and C Stunna.

Individually speaking, each rapper has been active this year. Loe Shimmy is coming off two singles, “Miami” and “Dirty Soda Junkie” with Veeze, as well as a new album Zombieland 2. In the case of the Tallahassee resident, Wizz Havinn has dropped off several songs as well, with a couple of them getting remixed with DJ Ess. On “Zuper,” Loe and Wizz are making sure to put on for their hometown with their cadences and instrumental choice.

Listen To “Zuper” By Loe Shimmy & Wizz Havinn

Loe is known for his extremely nonchalant and sleepy delivery, whereas Wizz raps with slightly more energy and fervor. The beat sounds like something that Luh Tyler would spit over, as it is very minimal and lowkey. Additionally, both Loe and Wizz rap about their hard-earned success with ease and confidence. Their new track can be spun with the link above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Zuper” by Loe Shimmy and Wizz Havinn? Is this one of their stronger releases as of late for both rappers, why or why not? Super Wizz, super s***, done walked in with a brick of P (Supersoaker)
I should’ve said Zuper ’cause you know I’m locked in with the Z’s (Z, Z)
Poppin’ that s*** with the ease
H*es comin’ by the threes, smokin’ on exotic trees (Yeah)
I can blow that s*** any day, got a lot of cheese (Got a lot of cheese)
N****, you just flaggin’, in the way, you ain’t ’bout a thing (F*** n****)

Loe Shimmy Is Sipping The “Wok & Lemonade” On His New Song

We discuss a lot of Florida rappers here at HNHH because there are so many of them that are on the rise. Names like BLP Kosher, Luh Tyler, SCY Jimmy, and plenty of others are bubbling up to the top of the East Coast heap. One of those names we do not get to talk about a whole lot is Loe Shimmy. He was actually on Tyler’s debut album, My Vision. You can find him on the laid-back cut “Santa.”

However, while Loe has gone on to drop some singles and features, he has not dropped his own project this year. His first feature came all the way back in February. He joined up with Goldenboy Countup on the song “Forever.” He has also gone on to work with Wizz Havinn, C Stunna, 6kfly, and plenty of others.

Over the past three singles, though, they have all been solo tracks. The same remains true here with his latest effort, “Wok & Lemonade.” The beat is very cruise-worthy and Shimmy finds himself right at home on it. He has a similar mumbly and raspy flow to Tyler and some of the other rappers from the area. Give it a listen up above with the music video for it.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new track from Loe Shimmy, “Wok & Lemonade?” Is he your favorite rapper from Florida? Which songs do you like the most from Shimmy?
