Grammy-nominated artists Quavo and Lana Del Rey join forces with Luxembourg-based DJ and producer Gravagerz for the latest dance remix of their hit single “Tough.” After charting on the Billboard Hot 100 following its original release, Gravagerz reimagines the country-trap summer anthem into an ethereal club banger. His lush chord progressions, high-tempo drum groove, and deep-house synth melodies create a new backdrop for Quavo and Lana’s heart-string pulling vocals, making the track a must-play for DJs. This new rendition follows last week’s hypnotically funky Channel Tres remix, adding another layer of excitement to the song’s ongoing success.
Today, GRAMMY Award-winning artist Bilal makes a triumphant return with his first album of new music in eight years, Adjust Brightness, out now on all major streaming platforms. His long-awaited release features 11 brand-new tracks that showcase Bilal’s visionary approach to blending soul, funk, jazz, and futuristic electronic elements, offering listeners an immersive and boundary-pushing sonic experience. Following the success of his June Black Music Month project, Live at Glasshaus, which featured musical heavyweights like Questlove, Common, RobertGlasper, and more, Bilal’s Adjust Brightness takes his artistry to new heights. The album is a bold step forward in his evolving sound, continuing to defy genre conventions and highlight his unmatched vocal and musical prowess.
Reflecting on his new album, Bilal shares, “I wanted to create music that challenges the digital age — music that confuses the algorithms and speaks to our humanity. Adjust Brightness is about love, warmth, and intimacy. It’s an intimate, human record that speaks to the heart in an era of cold, digital sounds.”
Eight years following 2015’s In Another Life, a collaboration with Adrian Younge that drew from the psychedelic verve of vintage funk, Adjust Brightness marks a bold new chapter for Bilal. This album is a giant step forward, as Bilal merges his organic, soulful roots with experimental electronic influences inspired by artists like Aphex Twin, Stereolab, and Jai Paul.
The creation of Adjust Brightness was deeply inspired by a period of musical and visual experimentation. Bilal began to approach his music much like a painter approaches a canvas, focusing on moods, textures, and atmospheres rather than traditional song forms. His experiences with experimental jazz and live performances fed into this avant-garde direction and tracks like “Sunshine” and “Humility” highlight his innovative use of atmospheric grooves, intricate beats, and sonic manipulation.
Today, multi-platinum rapper / artist Moneybagg Yo unleashes a deluxe version of his latest album, now titled SPEAK NOW OR…,featuring seven new tracks. The 24-song project isn’t just expansive, it’s also packed with ferocious wordplay, infectious hooks and bumpin’ beats — not to mention brand new and exhilarating collaborations.
Among the new entries is “WYD” featuring Memphis heavyweights GloRilla and Big Boogie, a club-ready anthem that spotlights the raw talent from all three major players, and “OUTTA TOWN” alongside Tallahassee’s Bossman Dlow. Other highlights include “DO YO SH*T”, “SUM TO HATE ON” and Bagg’s typically raw and unfiltered “FOOT SOLDIERS.” All told, the deluxe edition expands on the vision of SPEAK NOW and delivers more than half a dozen new hits geared to captivate fans for months to come.
SPEAK NOW arrived earlier this Summer to widespread anticipation. One of the main highlights from the record includes massive RIAA Gold-certified collaboration “Whiskey Whiskey” featuring country superstar Morgan Wallen, a southern hip-hop / country hybrid which has taken both worlds by storm. Since release, the song has hit No. 28 on the Billboard Hot100 Chart, Bagg has joined Wallen on stage earlier this summer to perform the cross-genre hit, Wallen used the full track during the famous ‘walk out’ at his Hyde Park Concert in London, and the song was even chosen as one of former President Barack Obama’s top songs of the summer.
With SPEAK NOW OR…, Moneybagg Yo supercharges his most recent album and sets the stage for his next chapter. See full tracklisting below.
Skilla Baby continues to heat up the summer. He gears up to drop his new music video for “Project X (feat. DaBaby)” on Friday via Geffen Records. Directed by DaBaby the video finds Skilla at a college fraternity party living it up with DaBaby.
This follows his “Misfit” street music video with Polo G. Both tracks are off Skilla’s latest mixtape The Coldest. Skilla Baby has been on a hot streak with recent plugs in PEOPLE, Associated Press, Galore, Billboard, Stereogum, Rolling Out and more. Most recently Skilla Baby graced the 2024 XXL Freshman cover as the 10th spot winner aka The People’s Champ and walked the BET 2024 Awards red carpet. At only 25-years-old Skilla Baby has grown immensely the past few years as an artist with over 400 million streams to his name.

During our conversation at the preview event, Anika Noni Rose expressed her excitement about the song and the ride. When asked who she would love to see on a remix of “Special Spice,” she enthusiastically replied, “Ummm, I’d say Bruno Mars—I know he would put some stank on it.” The idea of a collaboration with Bruno Mars adds an extra layer of excitement to the already captivating track.
Anika also shared what constitutes the “special spice” in her life, helping her prepare for new challenges. “Oh, I think that the special spice in my life may be nothing more exciting than determination. It’s just continuing, just getting up every day and doing whatever it is again and again and again. In spite of the no’s or the may-says.”
The lyrics of “Special Spice” beautifully encapsulate the core themes of The Princess and the Frog, reflecting resilience and celebration. This message of persistence mirrors the journey of Princess Tiana herself, making the song an anthem of hope and joy.

Today marks the much-anticipated grand opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World, with Disneyland Resort set to debut the attraction later this year. In conjunction with this magical event, Walt Disney Records has released the official soundtrack for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, now available across all streaming platforms.
Grammy-Award winners PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard recorded this special soundtrack in New Orleans with some of the city’s most prolific talent, including Jon Batiste, Trombone Shorty, Jon Cleary, and more. This vibrant collection of music perfectly captures the spirit of New Orleans and adds a rich, auditory layer to the enchanting experience of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
In a behind-the-scenes video, Leah Chase Kamata, daughter of Leah Chase, one of the inspirations for Tiana, is shown recording her rendition of “Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans?”. This soundtrack features an all-new, original song crafted specifically for the attraction, along with fresh renditions of beloved classics from the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film, The Princess and the Frog.
During a special preview of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, legendary musician Terence Blanchard shared his thoughts on the project. “Oh man, look, I have three girls. So Tiana’s been on my mind a great deal. And I’ve been in the film business for a number of years. To see my youngest daughter being really excited about a film I worked on when she was a little girl meant a lot to me. I remember the folks at Disney sent me some materials along with a CD, and she played that CD every day all day. So to think, to go from that to an actual physical ride that people can come and visit again and again, I think is amazing.”
He added, “It says a lot about Disney, it says a lot about where we are in the world, and it says a lot about what we’ve achieved, what people have been fighting for in terms of being equal in this country. And I think and I hope and pray that this is just the beginning of having more attractions to deal with more ethnic groups, gender equality, and all of those types of things, so we can really start to heal this country from the divisionary tactics that are being placed upon us right now.”

Five years after her breakout debut studio album “Ctrl,” R&B singer SZA is ramping up the rollout for her follow-up effort. Its finally here, SZA’s , whose real name is Solana Imani Rowe Read, finally dropped her new album: “S.O.S.” The album features 23 new tracks with a mixture of R&B, rap, pop and almost every music genre under the sun. “S.O.S” has features from Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. “Shirt,” produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It has more than 69 million streams on Spotify alone. When asked about finding artist to collaborate with during an interview on Hot 97, SZA reveals, “Collaborations happen in the DMs and begging people,” she said. “Sometimes people turn in their verses and sometimes they don’t. A lot of people just like, did not turn in their verses — but I’m grateful for who did.”
Since her platinum debut album “Ctrl” dropped, SZA has won five Grammy nominations and a legion of fans. Before releasing “Ctrl,” SZA put out three EPs, wrote for artists such as Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, and collaborated with fellow rappers such as label mate, Kendrick Lamar. When asked why she named her debut album “Ctrl”, SZA explained, “I’ve lacked control my whole life and I think I’ve craved it my whole life. I couldn’t really arrive at it and now, I’m not really looking to arrive at it anymore. I’m just happy to be present.” SZA was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in Maplewood, New Jersey. She has previously spoken about her home life, saying that it was a relatively restrictive one due to her family being Muslim. The name, pronounced “sizz-ah”, stands for “sovereign” or “savior,” “zigzag” and “Allah”. She explains, “It just kinda like stumbled on me, cause my name is Solána… People called me Sos for short, which comes from Sosa”. Not wanting to be confused for rapper Chief Keef, who went by Sosa at the time, she then went to the “Supreme Alphabet” for inspiration.
SZA began her career by recording with her friends, using beats off the internet. Before breaking into the music industry, she worked at Sephora in the skin care department.
To date, SZA has sold over 2,145,000 albums, including 2,000,000 in the United States and 100,000 in the United Kingdom. CTRL, which sold over 2,145,000 copies . “S.O.S.” seems to be on a similar track for success. It’s already eligible to be certified gold in the US, according to Chart Data. It has already sold over 500,000 units, with available singles such as “Good Days,” “Shirt,” and “I Hate U.”
Reuniting with longtime collaborator and Drake’s go-to producer Boi-1da, award-winning R&B singer-songwriter Savannah Ré is showing a new side of her artistry with “Closure”. In the new song, Savannah asserts her worth and calls out toxic Fboy energy. “Closure” blends Baile Funk percussion with dancehall and soca influences for an up-tempo track unlike anything Savannah has released before.
“Closure” arrives as the second release from Savannah’s eagerly anticipated sophomore project No Weapons due out early this Fall.
“I tapped into my past for this one, especially on the voicemail in the beginning (that’s actually me),” Savannah shares. “‘Closure’ is about a relationship that has run its course, but you’re still enamoured with this person and make the last-ditch effort to hold onto something that’s already gone. Even though it’s about toxicity, I wanted it to have an uplifting energy to it with tempo and bright sounds.”
With “Closure”, Savannah continues the narrative started with the EP’s sensual lead single, “About U”, which was unveiled last month. Praised for its vulnerability and smooth, flawless vocals, “About U” set the tone for her new artistic chapter – one that is unapologetically authentic Savannah.
“Closure” is produced by Boi-1da, YogiTheProducer and Kevinshideout. “When Yogi and I brought the production to Boi-1da and played it for him, he was like, ‘Oh yeah, this is crazy,’ says Savannah. “He knew exactly what it needed. He added his 1da sauce to it and it became this hybrid of a bunch of different genres – something that I haven’t really made before.”
“Closure” is available now on all platforms via Capitol Records. Stream it below.

There has been a beef brewing in Baton Rouge after NBA YoungBoy sent a public shot to Boosie Badazz for not making an effort to sustain their friendship, rapping on a track, “Feel like Boosie don’t even like me, b****, don’t call my phone (F*** you).” Now, Bossie has to send a few shots of his own with a response.
In his latest effort, “I Don’t Call Phones I Call Shots”, the title even seems like it was directly aimed at NBA YoungBoy. Boosie managed to rap about more than just the young Baton Rougean, but this one was obviously made with YoungBoy in mind.
