Earlier this year, Kanye West mistakenly sent a DM to a Baby Keem fan account thinking that it was the real Melodic Blue artist, sharing the release date for his Ty Dolla $ign collab album VULTURES 2. Of course, that didn’t end up manifesting, and when the project dropped months later, many fans wished they had never put it out. Nevertheless, this was a pretty funny moment for fans to witness, but it seems like Ye eventually got his contact information in order. Moreover, a picture surfaced of the two eating together with a group at a restaurant, although we have no confirmation on when this photo is from.

Kanye West and Baby Keem previously collaborated on Donda‘s “Praise God” back in 2021, so we wonder why Ye didn’t text Keem directly. Regardless, this isn’t the only curious rap link-up that the Chicago artist either engaged in or referenced as of late. For example, at his China show, he thanked Drake for writing the hook to his 2018 ye cut “Yikes.” Considering their complicated relationship, many fans raised their eyebrows at this.

Kanye West & Baby Keem Grab A Bite Together

On the other hand, Baby Keem’s sense of humor and online antics are not as volatile as Kanye West’s, but they’re still entertaining. Recently, he trolled his cousin Kendrick Lamar with the following retweet: “Kendrick the type of n***a to disappear after the bus passes.” This, of course, references the massive Drake battle and K.Dot’s scathing diss tracks and strategies against him, and it’s really funny to think about the pgLang affiliates reacting to memes about the situation online. We can’t help but wonder what has made them laugh the most, and how they might’ve reacted to the news of Ye’s mistaken DM.

Meanwhile, both Kanye West and Baby Keem have albums on the way, although they are both in an interesting state of limbo. In Keem’s case, we just don’t have an announcement to go off of, whereas Ye’s project announcements are something that fans never believe until the record actually comes out. Maybe they wrap 2024 up with some drops, or we instead have to wait until 2025 for their next moves.

Drakes Poses With The $uicideboy$ & Praises Them For “Reflective” Show

Drake seems to have been having a fun past several days in his hometown of Toronto. Over the last 24 hours or so, there’s a video of him and live streamer Adin Ross making the rounds on social media of them at a nightclub. They have been fans of each other’s work for quite some time, so seeing them link up was a nice sight to see. Additionally, another clip saw Drizzy warming up alongside his teammates and competitors for his basketball tournament at his lavish indoor court. However, that drew more jokes than anything else. Now, there’s some pictures of Drake and the $uicideboy$ drawing some buzz.

This is a pretty unexpected meet up, but part of the reason for it has to do with the fact that the Louisiana rap duo was in Toronto. Currently, the fan-favorite one-two punch of Ruby da Cherry and Scrim is in the midst of their two-month Grey Day tour. It kicked off on August 7 in Nashville and is going to run through November 11 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Just yesterday they were rocking the Scotiabank Arena, and Drake decided to pull and support the veteran tandem.

Adin Ross, whether you love or him or hate him, has built quite a sturdy foundation for himself. The live streamer is easily one of the biggest in the world and he’s also got tons of high-profile connections. Just last month, he got to speak with Donald Trump with a small in-person audience of supporters of the former POTUS. There’s even a slight chance he may get to chat with Trump in The White House. In addition to presidential candidates, Ross also is one of the streamers that gets early access to preview tracks from rappers. Because of this, he’s been able to develop some close relationships. If you have been paying attention to Adin Ross, you may know that he loves Drake.

Throughout the highly publicized beef between him and Kendrick Lamar, the content creator was always backing The Boy. Furthermore, they have been seen calling each other on multiple occasions on his streams. Now, though, things are getting personal, but not in a bad way. In the clip above, you can see them walking through a horde and everyone seems to be in awe of their presence. When you think of unlikely but surprisingly welcome collaborations throughout the last decade, Drake and Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal” might stand out to you. Even though the two artists are pretty stylistically distinct for the most part, they linked up for a rage-inspired instrumental and held their own just fine. In fact, it was a bit of a preview for Drizzy’s For All The Dogs years later, and now we have another follow-up to this bond. The duo snapped a pic together alongside 1400cjay, which led a lot of fans to wonder whether or not they’re coming out with some new material together.

Of course, we all know the high praise that Trippie Redd has for Drake. He proclaimed “Back To Back” to be the greatest diss track of all time during an appearance on Complex‘s “GOAT Talk” series alongside Machine Gun Kelly. This emerged right around the time that the Toronto superstar and Kendrick Lamar were firing disses back and forth at each other, so maybe the conversation deserves a revisit. Elsewhere, Trippie Redd has spoken on how Drake was an artistic inspiration for him. “My brother passed away when I was young, so that kind of gave me that drive to start wanting to make music,” he told The New York Times last year. “And I would sit at my grandma’s house and just rap on the stairs and be there for like two, three hours, just freestyling. We would have little things at school where we would have to write, so I would show my pen skills. I would make my school projects cool. Like, oh, I’m gonna write a letter to Drake. I literally did that too, I wrote a rap to Drake. I was in like seventh grade.”

Meanwhile, speaking of inspiration, Drake recently gave Lil Wayne his flowers for being his day one mentor. “We were so lucky to have the most supportive boss in the game always gassed us up,” he wrote over a repost of an old Young Money clip. As you can tell, this inspiration between artists is always a two-way street, and it always comes from something greater. One day, the next big rap artist will be talking about how much Trippie Redd inspired him to make it big.

Dr. Dre Links Up With Mustard In Studio Amid Snoop Dogg Album Hype

Hip-hop in general has had an importantly resurgent year thus far in 2024. You can certainly point to a lot of MCs for that. However, producers, like usual, are contributing their fair share as well. One of them has been Mustard (DJ Mustard). After remaining quite silent for a little while, these first nine months have been opposite. You’ve heard his producer tag all throughout the summer thanks to his production on Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”. Additionally, though, you can point to his latest solo album, Faith Of A Mustard Seed. He was able to grab tons of impressive guests, including Travis Scott, Young Thug, ScHoolboy Q, Quavo, Roddy Ricch, and more.

Hopefully, very soon, we can add Dr. Dre to this conversation. Over the last couple of months or so, we have been receiving some encouraging updates surrounding Missionary. It’s being billed as the sequel project to Doggystyle, which of course is Snoop Dogg’s iconic debut. Dr. Dre is handling all of its production and there’s some belief that November will be the month it arrives. It would make sense, as the 23rd of that month will mark the 31st anniversary of Doggystyle. But while that’s in the works, Dr. Dre is taking some time away to meet up with Mustard.

According to HipHopDX, the Perfect Ten creator shared the photo of them in the studio together with the caption, “Back in the lab with my pen and my pad.” This could mean a lot of things. Earlier this year, Sukihana and Ray J sparked rampant dating rumors when they were spotted exchanging luxury gifts, enjoying shopping high-end sprees together, and more. They since appear to have shut the speculation down, as Suki unveiled her new boyfriend last month. It seems as though she and Ray J were simply spending a lot of time together to promote their endeavors with Tronix Network, and were never anything more than collaborators.

Over the weekend, however, Suki was spotted alongside Dr. Umar in Miami. The two of them have quite a history, though it doesn’t look like there’s anything extracurricular going on between them either. Regardless, social media users were quick to point out that the duo looked surprisingly good as a couple. The link-up even prompted a heated response from Ray J, who slid into Dr. Umar’s DMs with a threatening message almost immediately.

Throughout Drake’s infamous feud with Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent had his back, supporting tracks like “Push Ups,” “Family Matters,” and even “Taylor Made Freestyle.” For this reason, it doesn’t come as a huge surprise that the duo decided to link up during Fif’s recent visit to Drake’s hometown of Toronto. Late last night, Drizzy took to his Instagram Story to share a photo of the two of them. Needless to say, they appeared to be in good spirits.

Of course, Drake and 50 Cent have quite a few things in common. For example, they both have had their fair share of issues with Rick Ross. Ross jumped in amid the aforementioned lyrical battle, dropping a diss track called “Champagne Moments.” On it, he accused Drake of getting plastic surgery, called him “white boy,” and more.

Drake Shares New Photo With 50 Cent After Toronto Show

Ross went on to perform in Vancouver last month, and decided to troll Drake by having his DJ play “Not Like Us.” This didn’t go over well, as he and his crew were promptly jumped by alleged Drake fans. 50 Cent proceeded to clown Rozay mercilessly for this with various social media posts, dubbing Ross’ infamous exit “THE GREAT ESCAPE.” This only continued when Fif started to tour in Canada days after the brawl and made several jokes about it onstage.

The beef seems to have died down for the time being, but that doesn’t mean Drake is done dropping music. Drake & DJ Khaled Link Up To Play Basketball

Drake, DJ Khaled, and Khaled’s son linked up to play a little freeform basketball. The trio shot some at Khalded’s place, using a hoop set up in the living room. Amid all the rumors and recollections of beef surrounding the pair of them, it is a welcome break to see them cutting loose and having some fun. As mentioned, Drake is currently reportedly feuding with Metro Boomin, although the reason for the beef isn’t clear. Meanwhile, Tony Yayo recently recalled nearly shooting Khaled during his beef with Fat Joe while appearing on VladTV. But the video is clear that despite all that, Drake and Khaled remain firm friends.

However, it’s not the only basketball activity that Drake has been involved in. He got the opportunity to provide some color commentary for his beloved Raptors as he joined the broadcast booth for the team’s in-season tournament game against the Celtics last November. Drake’s highlights included poking fun at some of the Celtics’ bench players getting minutes in a close game. “Payton Pritchard’s out there looking like a crypto scammer,” Drake trolled as the rest of the broadcast team barely restrained their laughter. Pritchard, Boston’s 2020 first-round pick, put up 5-3-3 in 17 minutes against the Raptors.

DJ Khaled Recalls Missing A MySpace DM From Drake

Meanwhile, Khaled revealed last year that he and Drake could have linked up sooner if he hadn’t missed a MySpace DM from Drizzy. “I didn’t know how to work that MySpace stuff. But oh my God, if I had an opportunity to sign Drake or work with Drake before Drake was Drake. But it just shows you that he had love for me as a producer, DJ, and as an artist. The music I was making. He had love right and that’s so dope. It’s one of the biggest artists in the world and he’s my family and he’s my brother. But just to know that, before he exploded, he was listening to DJ Khaled. Wow,” Khaled said on Club Shay Shay.

Since then, Khaled and Drake have collabed nine times. Their first musical endeavor was “Fed Up” in 2009. Furthermore, their most recent venture was 2022’s “No Secret”. As with any two superstars in the game who aren’t beefing, Drake and Khaled have formed a very close friendship. However, it’s interesting to know that there was a chance for their partnership to begin even earlier.

Drake Links Up With Shy Glizzy In Turks & Caicos

Drake’s continuing vacation in Turks & Caicos saw him link up with Shy Glizzy. The pair were photographed together at a bar and seemed to be doing some serious posting up together. Of course, Drake has been on the Caribbean islands for several weeks now and appears to be having a great time.

Earlier in December, Drizzy paid it back to his fans. The rapper bought a massive round of shots for his fans at a beachside Tiki bar. A very scruffy-looking Drizzy was greeted by massive cheers, with some of the bar staff ruffling his hair. Of course, Drake is no stranger to doing nice things for his fans. During the “It’s All a Blur” tour, Drake promised to buy first-class tickets home for a pair of fans who had traveled all the way from Japan to see him perform.

Jim Jones Gives Drake His Flowers For For All The Dogs

Meanwhile, people continue to heap praise on Drake’s major release this year, For All The Dogs. Jim Jones declared For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition his best album of the year. Jones gave his answer at November’s ComplexCon. “That extendo clip that Drake just dropped got real spooky on n-ggas,” Jones explained. However, he also gave props to Too Good To Be True and Utopia. The six-song deluxe EP recently helped push the Drake product back to the top of the Billboard album charts. Despite the success of the album, last week only marked its second week at No. 1. It displaced Stray Kids’ ROCK-STAR, which tumbled to No. 7.

Furthermore, For All The Dogs has also reached platinum certification in recent weeks. However, the RIAA has yet to confirm this. For All The Dogs was able to hold off another resurgence from 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which spent another week at No. 2. Ironically, the first track of Drake’s EP shouts out Taylor Swift. “Taylor Swift the only n-gga that I ever rated. Only one could make me drop the album just a little later. Rest of y’all, I treat you like you never made it,” Drake raps on “Red Button”.
