Lil Nas X’s Setlist Of Songs For ‘Long Live Montero Tour’

Lil Nas X hit a major career milestone earlier this month when he launched his first-ever concert tour, the Long Live Montero Tour. He’s been on the road for a few weeks, which makes now a good time to ask the question: What does his setlist look like?

Setlist.fm, the most comprehensive resource for concert setlists available online, has the answer. According to their data, the rapper has been rolling out the same setlist each time, which makes sense given how highly produced the show is. So far, he’s been opening with “Panini,” closing his main set with “Industry Baby,” and coming back for a one-song encore of “Star Walkin’.”

When it comes to album-by-album representation, Montero songs have made the most setlist appearances, while the 7 EP is second, which makes sense given that those are his two only releases so far and Montero has more songs than does 7.

Check out the average setlist (so far) for the Long Live Montero Tour below.

1. “Panini”
2. “Tales Of Dominica”
3. “Sun Goes Down”
4. “Old Town Road”
5. “Rodeo”
6. “Dead Right Now”
7. “Don’t Want It”
8. “That’s What I Want”
9. “Lost In The Citadel”
10. “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”
11. “Down Souf Hoes”
12. “Scoop”
13. “Industry Baby”
14. “Star Walkin’ (encore)

Lil Nas X’s Dad Had A Sweet Message For His Son After Seeing Him Perform In Atlanta

Lil Nas X has a lot going on — he has a new wax figure, he was elected President of League Of Legends, he accepted the Hal David Starlight Award at the Songwriters Hall Of Fame 51st Annual Induction And Awards Gala, and that’s barely scratching the surface of what he’s been up to.

The famous rapper’s dad took to social media to share how proud he is of his son after attending his concert in Atlanta. In an Instagram Story, he wrote: “I’m beyond proud of you. Thinking back to this conversation we had about 4 years ago and to see your show last night, by the way was the best show I’ve seen since MJ. You was a kid with a dream and the determination to follow it. You was that one in a million.”

With his rise to fame, Lil Nas X has also been dealing with backlash. His responses to it are masterfully funny, such as when conservatives protested his show in Boston. “Can’t stop thinking about the cute homophobic guy that was protesting my concert last night,” he wrote on Twitter. “i just know we had a connection. i miss him so much man. i’m nothing without him.”

Lil Nas X Releases His ‘League Of Legends’ Worlds Anthem, ‘Star Walkin”

After teasing his new single “Star Walkin’” on his Long Live Montero Tour, Lil Nas X has officially released the track in conjunction with Riot Games as the League Of Legends Worlds anthem. A defiant, motivational track, “Star Walkin’” incorporates pop elements into a pulsating UK drill beat as Nas asserts, “They said I wouldn’t make it out alive / They told me I would never see the rise / That’s why I gotta kill ’em every time.”

The energetic track is pitch perfect for the competitive nature of League Of Legends and it’s easy to see why it was chosen — or purpose-built — to soundtrack the upcoming world championships for the game in Mexico City. Lil Nas X is scheduled to perform the song next week at the opening ceremony for Worlds and partnered with Riot Games to help create a skin for one of the game’s newest characters.

In a promo video for the partnership, Nas hilariously declares himself “President” of League, installing landline phones on all the desks with “Star Walkin’” as their ringtone. You can check that out below.

Lil Nas himself seems to be enjoying his Long Live Montero Tour, taking some of the bumps along the way in stride. When a group of protestors formed outside one of the most recent stops, he sent them pizza and joked that he fell in love with a “cute homophobic guy” who protested.

Lil Nas X Is Feeling Sexy And Unbothered As He Admires Himself + Orders Pizza For Haters

Lil Nas X

One thing about Lil Nas X, he knows how to make his haters mad. When a group of homophobic protesters lined up outside his concert, the queer rapper didn’t get upset, he just ordered them pizza. A group of homophobic protesters stood outside of Lil Nas X’s Boston concert, and the “Call Me Your Name” […]

From Lil Nas X To Taylor Swift: Here’s How Celebrity Wax Figures Are Made

Yesterday, Lil Nas X shared a video of his new Madame Tussauds wax figure, which is so convincing that he successfully used it to prank Lizzo, Olivia Rodrigo, and others into thinking it was actually him. Other artists haven’t been so lucky when they were immortalized in wax, as questionable figures of Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, and Rihanna bear at best a passing resemblance to the source material.

Plenty of famous folks have gotten the wax figure treatment aside from the aforementioned, like Taylor Swift, Brad Pitt, Jackie Chan, Grumpy Cat, and the list goes on and continues to grow. As new figures of varying quality emerge, it begs the question: Just how are these things made?

How It’s Made, the long-running documentary series that has been on the air since 2001, did a segment on wax figures in a 2011 episode. The Science Channel, the Canadian show’s home in the US, uploaded that clip onto YouTube about a year ago and it offers a detailed breakdown of what goes into the process.

The video is better watched than it is read about, but in summary, the subject of the figure has a bunch of measurements taken, mostly of the face, when possible. From there, a mold is made, which is then used to create a wax casting. Then, painting and other techniques are used to add realism to the figure.

Watch the How It’s Made segment above. Insider also spoke with Andres Lopes, a studio manager at Madame Tussauds, in a video from 2018, so find that below.

Lil Nas X’s New Wax Figure Looks So Good That He Pranked Lizzo, Olivia Rodrigo, And Others With It

Celebrity wax figures are hit or miss. A Billie Eilish one from earlier this year raised some eyebrows, but Madame Tussauds has a strong track record, like with their well-received Drake figure from 2019. Tussauds’ latest figure is of Lil Nas X and it looks fantastic. It’s so convincing, in fact, that the rapper was able to use it to prank some of his famous friends.

In a video he shared yesterday (September 20), Nas is in a room with his figure and he decides to FaceTime some people, calling them but only putting the figure in frame. One of the first calls was to Olivia Rodrigo, who cheerfully answered and seemed to think the call was frozen. The real Nas then jumped in and said, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, it’s a wax figure,” which got a laugh from Rodrigo.

The final call of the video is to Lizzo, who answers by saying, “Hi,” before waiting a beat and exclaiming, “What the f*ck?” Nas then makes the reveal, much to Lizzo’s amusement, who adds, “I f*ckin’ thought it was you. I was like, ‘Why are you in your Met Gala outfit?’”

In the clip, Nas also pranks Troye Sivan, Steve Lacy, Rico Nasty, and others, so check it out above.

Lil Nas X Sends Pizza to Protestors of His Boston Tour Stop

Lil Nas X maury show

In case you forgot, you can’t out-troll Lil Nas X. The rapper brought his Long Live Montero tour to Boston, and it sparked Christians protesting outside the venue.

The group of protestors was known as Christ’s Forgiveness Ministries and used a microphone to yell at people entering the tour. Hearing about the moment, Lil Nas X thought it was good promo and sent some pizzas to the protestors.

“just told my team to send them pizza, this is really good promo,” Nas X wrote.

Did the protestors want the pizza? Of course not, but they may be able to be with the rapper after he fell in love with one of them.

Lil Nas X Reveals New Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds Hollywood

Lil Nas X Reveals New Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds Hollywood

Lil Nas X has unveiled his wax replica for Madame Tussauds Hollywood, the world’s largest wax museum. He presented his wax replica in a priceless side-by-side exchange. A duplicate of the iconic gold Versace suit armor that the striking figure wore to the 2021 Met Gala is being worn by the figure. The Versace choker, earrings, and nail art from the custom outfit were all meticulously recreated by Madame Tussauds artists. Lil Nas X is the first wax figure to feature a grill, to say nothing of that.

Lil Nas X has established himself as a leader in the music industry by expressing himself bravely and fearlessly in his songs and online. The two-time Grammy winner, only 23 years old, has many accomplishments, including being the first openly homosexual rapper to be nominated in major Grammy categories. He embarked on his first-ever world tour in 2021 after releasing his critically praised debut album MONTERO.

“Are we twins or what? I knew this was going to be good but this is like, scary amazing,” said Lil Nas X.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Lil Nas X into the Madame Tussauds Hollywood family. As a musical, social and fashion icon, this figure marks an extraordinary addition to our museum. We’re excited for his fans to interact with the star’s identical twin!” said Madame Tussauds Hollywood General Manager Therese Alvich.

Fans of Lil Nas X will be thrilled to learn that the musician will also release “STAR WALKIN’” this Friday, September 23, a song written in partnership with Riot Games that will serve as the theme song for the League of Legends 2022 Worlds Tournament.
