Moneybagg Yo Takes Down A Deceitful Partner With Polo G And Lil Durk In Their ‘Free Promo’ Video

Moneybagg Yo is still celebrating the success of his latest album, A Gangsta’s Pain, and today, it comes with a brand new video for “Free Promo.” On the track, Moneybagg is accompanied by Chicago rappers Polo G and Lil Durk as they express their ability to stand on their own and support themselves without promotion from others. However, in the song’s newly-released video, Moneybagg is forced to take down a deceitful partner in the tension-heavy visual. From accusations of being a snitch intentionally killing a member of his team, the double-crossing individual is up to no good for the video’s duration, but his bad ways eventually catch up to him.

The new visual arrives after Moneybagg Yo earned the first No. 1 album of his career with A Gangsta’s Pain. The project debuted with a total of 110,000 album units sold, and the following week, it checked in at No. 2 with 70,000 album units. After learning that his new album topped the charts, Moneybagg celebrated the news on social media. “Mannnnee Dis Sh*t Feel Crazy,” he wrote under an Instagram post. “I’m Forever Grateful Tho! Without My Fans and My Team I Wouldn’t Be Sh*t ! God Working Thank Y’all I Promise To Neva Let Up !!”

Lil Durk + Lil Baby’s New Album Drop Date Announced

Chicago and Atlanta are linking up like Justin Fields throwing a touchdown pass to Julio Jones. Lil Baby And Lil Durk’s Upcoming Joint Project May Have A Release Date

Lil Baby and Lil Durk have been teasing their joint project for weeks and yesterday, it seems they may have revealed when it comes out. Lil Baby posted, then deleted, on Instagram, asking fans, “How does ‘Voice Of The Heroes dropping May 28′ sound?” The post was captured by fan account screenshots before Baby deleted it, leaving us to wonder whether plans changed, the date was meant to be secret, or if this is an elaborate hype-building tactic as part of the long, convoluted rollout for the joint project.

Baby and Durk’s impressive working chemistry stems — at least in the short term — from their collaboration “3 Headed Goat” from Durk’s 2019 album Just Cause Y’all Waited 2. They’ve since released a handful of singles together such as “Finesse Out The Gang Way” from Durk’s 2020 album The Voice and more recently, “Every Chance I Get” from DJ Khaled’s new album, Khaled Khaled.

When fans suggested that they turn that chemistry into a full-length mixtape, they immediately began teasing such a tape with cryptic social media posts, eventually revealing the working title during an interview with MTV News. Intriguingly, they still have yet to release any songs from the project itself, preferring instead to let their established work do the promotion. We’ll see if May 28 turns out to truly be the official release date — for now, it seems fans will have to stay tuned to their social media for more updates.

Tee Grizzley And Lil Durk Narrate Dark Street Tales In Their ‘White Lows Off Designer’ Video

This past Friday, Tee Grizzley shared his Built For Whatever album, an effort that stands as his seventh full-length project since 2017. The new release was led by “White Lows Off Designer” with frequent collaborator, Lil Durk, a record they both came together for in March.

Two months later, to coincide with his new album, Grizzley calls upon Durk once again to deliver a visual for their collaboration. In it, they both narrate the dangers of the streets they came from as Grizzley sits in the backseat of a car in the middle of a drive-by shooting while Durk resorts to a dimly lit abandoned house for his verse.

Tee Grizzley’s new album comes with nineteen tracks and a boatload of features from various rappers. Throughout the project’s near one-hour duration, listeners will hear appearances from King Von, Quavo, YNW Melly, Lil Tjay, Baby Grizzley, G Herbo, Big Sean, Babyface Ray and Young Dolph. Its release also comes after Grizzley joined Lil Yachty on his latest mixtape, Michigan Boy Boat.

As for Lil Durk, the new video comes after he joined DJ Khaled and Lil Baby in a visual for “Every Chance I Get,” a track from Khaled’s new album, Khaled Khaled.

DJ Khaled, Lil Baby, And Lil Durk Bring The Fire In Their Video For ‘Every Chance I Get’

Back in 2019, when DJ Khaled dropped his 11th album, Father of Ashad, he released a boatload of videos within the first 24 hours. With his new album Khaled Khaled, he’s doing something similar, though at a much slower rate this time around. The latest is for “Every Change I Get,” and it finds the rapper stasnding side by side with Lil Baby and Lil Durk, all of them surrounded by women, luxury cars, burning objects, and more, all while Durk and Baby deliver verses about their relentless pursuit of success.

The new video is the fourth that Khaled’s has released in five days. He kicked things off with a lavish one for “Sorry Not Sorry,” with Jay-Z and Nas, before heading to Jamaica to connect with reggae artists Buju Banton, Capleton, and Bounty Killer for their collaboration “Where You Come From.” Next, he called on Lil Wayne and Jeremih for the album’s intro track, “Thankful.”

As for Durk and Baby, the two rappers are currently working on their joint album, The Voice & The Hero, which is set to arrive in the near future.

Lil Durk Wants To Buy The Housing Complex He Grew Up In After It Went Up For Sale

This month will mark the one-year anniversary of Lil Durk’s mixtape, Just Cause Y’all Waited 2, a project that kicked off a strong run for the Chicago native. This hot streak included a second project, The Voice, and deluxe re-releases for both efforts. With that being said, it appears that Durk’s next accomplishment will be outside the music world. The rapper recently expressed his interest in buying the housing complex he grew up in after it recently went up for sale.

According to Chicago Sun Times, Parkway Gardens, one of Chicago’s biggest affordable housing complexes, is in search of a new owner. The 13-acre complex — which is also known as “O Block” — and its nearly three-dozen buildings stretch from the city’s 63rd to 65th streets between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Calumet Avenue. After reading the news about the complex on Twitter, Lil Durk responded to a post writing, “I’ll buy it don’t matter how much it is.”

Housing broker Affordable Housing Advisors posted the complex to the market without an asking price. The development was originally purchased by Realtor Midwest in 2011. The deal included $59.5 million in tax-exempt bonds from the Illinois Housing Development Authority, $28.8 million in Wells Fargo equity from low-income housing tax credits, and $9.9 million in historic rehabilitation tax credits. Currently, 3,000 residents fill out the 694-unit housing development.

Lil Durk’s ‘Smurkchella’ Concert Ended Early After Reports Of Gunshots

Concerts are slowly beginning to make their return across the United States as several states in the southern part of the country have allowed venues to host performances for artists. An example of this came Saturday night in Phoenix, Arizona where Lil Durk held his Smurkchella concert. The night was set to be a fun and enjoyable event as the rapper would perform some of his biggest hits with a few guest acts including Coi Leray and Pooh Sheisty, but things unfortunately came to an early end after gunshots were reported at the concert.

According to Phoenix’s ABC 15, officers were called to the city’s Celebrity Theatre after a woman was injured in the shooting. The report says she was at the front of the stage when a bullet grazed her leg. Police added that once the shots rang out, the attendees frantically attempted to flee the scene, which resulted in another person being injured in the process. Several fans were able to capture the concert’s atmosphere when the shooting started. Video of Lil Durk and his crew scrambling to get off stage and nearly getting into a fight with someone could also be seen.

The incident comes after Durk teamed up with Pooh Shiesty to perform “Back In Blood” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He also joined Megan Thee Stallion in a video for their “Movie” collaboration.

You can watch footage of the incident above.
