LeBron James Drops “Chapter 2” Of Fashion Collab With Liverpool FC

LeBron James has released the second round of designs for his ongoing collab with Liverpool FC. The new drop includes a limited edition basketball jersey, soccer jersey, and a redesign of the Nike LeBrons. The overwhelming color used is teal to reflect the classic Liverpool away kit motif. The jerseys also carry references to Liverpool’s “You’ll Never Walk Alone” motto as well as LeBron’s own “Strive For Greatness” mantra.

The fits were modeled by LeBron, Liverpool captain Virgil Van Dijk, women’s vice-captain Taylor Hinds, as well as Alisson, Ryan Gravenberch, and Andy Robertson. “It’s great to have worked together alongside LeBron to launch this collaboration. I’m excited for everyone to see what we’ve created,” Van Dijk said. Liverpool currently have a one-point lead at the top of the Premier League, with the teams meeting for a crucial match this Sunday. Longtime Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already announced that he intends to leave the club at the end of the season.

Elsewhere, LeBron James had a special postgame meetup in mind as he was spotted linking up with GloRilla after the Lakers routed the Pistons on in mid-February. LeBron stopped to take pictures with the Memphis femcee as well as enjoying a brief conversation with her. Furthermore, LeBron was also seen singing along to “Yeah, Glo!” when it was played over the Crypto.com Arena PA. Additionally, he was also reportedly seen dancing to more of her music in the locker room.

LeBron had a game-high 25 points as the Lakers handed Detroit their 45th loss of the season. However, LeBron was quieter elsewhere on the court, recording just 1 rebound and 8 assists. It’s LeBron’s lowest rebounding mark since he recorded no boards in a November game against Philadelphia. This season, LeBron is averaging 25.2/7.1/7.9 as the Lakers have see-sawed. However, he was still named an All-Star captain. The Lakers are 34-29 and 9th in the Western Conference.

ScHoolboy Q Reacts To LeBron James Showing Love To “BLUE LIPS”

In the lead up to ScHoolboy Q delivering BLUE LIPS, fans were salivating over its lead singles, rollout, and etc. When it finally hit streaming platforms this past weekend, people up and down were saying it is a phenomenal record and an album of the year contender. Critics seem to agree that is another feather in the cap for the California-bred MC. Q going back into his alternative bag was a smart choice, especially considering how lukewarm some of the pop-rap cuts were on CrasH Talk. Q seems to favor his more explorative records too after his recent ranking of all of his projects. Someone else who is enjoying ScHoolboy Q’s latest offering is LeBron James.

According to HipHopDX, the Los Angeles Laker superstar replied to the rapper’s tweet asking what their favorite track was. “Ok day 3 wats yall favorite song on BLUE LIPS?” That is when the future Hall-of-Famer said, “Blueslides, oHio & Time killers so far. Still🥼🧪🧫it. Too many🔥🔥🔥🔥tracks G. 🫡Q could not help but fanboy a little in his response.

LeBron James, Joe Biden, & More Congratulate Caitlin Clark On Breaking NCAA Scoring Record

LeBron James, Joe Biden, and more have all shared congratulatory messages for Caitlin Clark on social media after the Iowa star passed the LSU and NBA legend Pete Maravich to become the all-time NCAA leading scorer. She did so during her last regular-season home game on Sunday. No. 6 Iowa defeated No. 2 Ohio State 93-83.

“CONGRATS @CaitlinClark22 on becoming the All-Time leading scorer!!” LeBron James wrote on Twitter afterward. President Joe Biden added: “Congratulations to Caitlin Clark on making history as the NCAA all-time leading scorer. With 3,685 points and counting, you’ve made your school proud.” Travis Scott, who was in attendance at the game, wrote: “Might need that #22 jersey tonight!!!!!”

“It’s really crazy to think about,” Clark said of the record after the game. “Honestly, if you would have told me that before my college career started, I would’ve laughed in your face and been like, ‘No, you’re insane.’ I’ve always been able to score the ball, but I don’t think people really understand how many amazing players have come before me and been able to score the ball and do it at such a high rate and for teams that are really, really good.” Check out some of the responses to her record-setting career below.

Caitlin Clark Receives Praise On Social Media

Clark announced last week that she intends to forgo a fifth year of eligibility and enter the 2024 WNBA draft. Be on the lookout for further updates on Caitlin Clark on HotNewHipHop.

Is Bronny James Declaring For The NBA Draft? Rich Paul Gives Update On USC Freshman’s Thinking

Rich Paul has stated that Bronny James’ draft decision will be based on “team interest” and not projected draft position. “I don’t value a young player getting into the lottery as much as I do getting him on the right team in the right developmental situation,” Paul told ESPN. Furthermore, Paul noted that LeBron James’ long-stated desire to play with his son will not factor into the decision. However, Paul did note that LeBron would be “head over heels” if it happened “organically”. This comment also appeared to put to bed the idea that LeBron would leave the Lakers to play with Bronny.

It has been a less-than-ideal season for Bronny James. Entering college as a top-15 recruit, the start of his season was derailed by a cardiac arrest suffered last July. While that congenital defect has reportedly been addressed, Bronny will still have to get clearance from the NBA’s Fitness to Play panel. Additionally, Bronny has simply not played like an NBA prospect. He has averaged 5/2.8/2.4 a game for a Trojans team that has fallen well short of expectations. Projected to finish second in the Pac-12, USC is second-last in the division with two games left on the schedule.

Austin Rivers And Stephen Jackson Feud Over Bronny James

Of course, Bronny’s NBA fit remains a heated point of discussion. Stephen Jackson took offense to Austin Rivers’ rationale behind why LeBron and Bronny shouldn’t play on the same team if Bronny makes the move to the NBA. “Difference is you trash, Bronny not. You can’t compare to him scrub. And your daddy not LeBron. Shut up,” Jackson wrote in the comments on an Instagram post reporting Rivers’ original comments. Rivers later replied to the former NBA player. “All smiles…I didn’t even have to fight my own battles with ignorance, yall corrected it for me!! Thank you for not siding with delusion. Have a blessed day,” Rivers wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

However, Jackson’s reaction was bizarre given that Rivers had been arguing that Bronny doesn’t need the added obstacle of playing in his father’s shadow. “I don’t want to see Bronny play with [LeBron]… Him getting drafted & playing with his dad, I don’t want that negativity to come his way. He doesn’t deserve it… [He needs to] play somewhere where he can niche out his own identity,” Rivers told NBA Today.

LeBron James Makes NBA History, Surpasses 40,000 Career Points

LeBron James surpassed 40,000 career points during the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night. He is the first player in NBA history to accomplish the feat. He scored the historic point with a driving layup at the 10:39 mark of the second quarter. He entered the game needing nine points.

James previously became the all-time leading scorer in NBA history by scoring his 38,388th point on February 7, 2023. He passed the former highest-scoring player of all time, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, to do so.

“No one has ever done it,” James said when asked about reaching 40,000, earlier this week. “And for me to be in this position at this point and time in my career, I think it’s pretty cool. Does it sit at the top of the things I’ve done in my career? No. But does it mean something? Of course. Absolutely. Why wouldn’t it? To be able to accomplish things in this league, with the greatest players to ever play in this league, the NBA, this has been a dream of mine and to hit feats and have milestones throughout my career, they all mean something to me. Obviously, there’s a pecking order of which [accomplishments] are higher than others, but I would be lying to you if I said it doesn’t mean anything. Because it absolutely does.”

LeBron James Reacts To Bronny Falling Out Of Latest Mock Draft: “Let The Kid Be A Kid And Enjoy College Basketball”

LeBron James has every right to be supportive of his son Bronny, obviously. However, his latest reaction to a recent tweet has some pulling out his old receipts. An X (Twitter) account NBACentral sent out information on LBJ’s son’s latest draft stock and it is not looking good for the USC product. ESPN has removed the 19 year-old from the 2024 mock draft and is now slated to be selected in 2025. The Los Angeles Laker has been hyping up his oldest kid, but things just have not panned out yet. However, Lebron saw Bronny’s mock draft tweet and his reaction is causing a stir on the platform.

It appears his fiery message has been deleted, but DJ Akademiks was able to snag a screenshot of it. “Can y’all please just let the kid be a kid and enjoy college basketball. The work and results will ultimately do the talking no matter what he decides to do.” LeBron continues, “If y’all don’t know he doesn’t care what a mock draft says, he just WORKS! Earned Not Given!”

James did not stop there though. He took the opportunity to send a motivational message to the kids looking to make it to the league. He essentially said the same thing, to work hard and discredit the mock drafts. He wants others to “talk REAL BASKETBALL.” Unfortunately, fans are not going to let this slide as LeBron sent out a tweet that said, “Man Bronny definitely better than some of these cats I’ve been watching on league pass today. S*** lightweight hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣

What are your thoughts on LeBron James’ reaction to Bronny’s draft stock? Do you think he responded in the right way after his previous comments? Do you think he will eventually be an NBA player? LeBron James On Warriors Trade Rumors: “It Didn’t Go Far At All”

LeBron James has addressed the rumors that he was nearly involved in a trade to the Golden State Warriors prior to the deadline. Speaking with TNT’s Inside the NBA prior to the All-Star Game on Sunday, the Los Angeles Lakers star claimed that he was unaware of the deal prior to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne’s reports on it, last week.

Ernie Johnson prompted James with the question of how far the deal went. “It didn’t go far at all. I actually heard about it when everybody else heard about it,” James said. He added that it “never even got to me.”

Wojnarowski and Shelburne reported that neither the Lakers nor James was interested in the move. Warriors forward Draymond Green apparently texted Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul in an attempt to sway James. The failed move comes as both the Warriors and Lakers have been struggling. Los Angeles is in ninth place in the Western Conference with a record of 30-26 while Golden State ranks 10th at 27-26. Check out James’ comments on the reported trade below.

LeBron James Dodges Questions About Next Season

LeBron James had a very simple answer when asked if he had thought about what he was going to do with his player option year for next season – “No.” The veteran star gave the blunt answer following a Lakers shootaround ahead of their marquee clash against the Knicks. LeBron has a $51.4 million player option for the 2024/25 with a late-July opt-in deadline. Since that deadline comes a few days after the NBA Draft, many pundits believe LeBron will wait to see if and where his son Bronny is drafted.

However, the news comes a day after LeBron’s agent shut down speculation that LeBron could be dealt at the trade deadline. “LeBron won’t be traded, and we aren’t asking to be,” Paul said in response to growing speculation that LeBron might be leaving the Lakers midseason. Of course, LeBron hasn’t helped quiet the rumors. Following a loss to the Lakers earlier this week, LeBron posted an hourglass emoji to social media.

Stephen A. Smith Wants The Knicks To Trade For LeBron James

However, Paul’s comments about his biggest client haven’t stopped people from making their trade pitches regardless. Stephen A. Smith has caused a stir after using a segment on First Take to pitch a deadline trade between his Knicks and the Lakers to acquire LeBron James. Smith’s pitch is more based on the vibes of “LeBron at MSG” rather than how LeBron would actually make the Knicks a better team. Smith’s Knicks are currently in the East and are riding a six-game winstreak. However, they recently lost the team’s second scorer, Julius Randle, until at least after the All-Star Game.

Ahead of tonight’s game against the Knicks, LeBron was asked whether he had ever considered what it would be like to have MSG as a home court. “During my free agency period in 2010, it was one of the teams that I looked at. So I’ve had that thought in my career. However, he also made it clear that his focus is the Lakers for the time being. “I’m very proud of our efforts in Boston. Those guys stepped up and played exceptional basketball. Beautiful to see. Beautiful to watch. If we can play some good basketball, string a couple wins together, and not be so Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on any given night, then we’ll be OK,” LeBron said.

Joel Embiid Injury Has LeBron James Fuming About The Rest Rule And Media Accountability

LeBron has lashed out at media members advocating for the NBA rest rule after it was revealed that Joel Embiid had suffered a torn meniscus. “Where are all the media outlets, tv media personalities, hot takes that talked so much 💩 about Joel Embiid about missing those games when he knew what he was dealing with. Now he’s out with an injury because of it. Not 1 person has went back on tv or their dumbass podcast and apologized to that MAN!! No accountability 🗑🗑🗑,” LeBron wrote in a series of posts on X.

Embiid, the MVP frontrunner, is out indefinitely with a torn meniscus in his left knee. Given the razor-thin margin he was already working with the NBA rest rule, this will likely end the Sixer’s chance to repeat as MVP. Furthermore, LeBron’s comments come just a day after Stephen A. Smith essentially told players to suck it up when it comes to the Rest Rule.

LeBron James Won’t Be Traded

Meanwhile, there has been a lot of news about LeBron to end the week. The biggest story came from his agent on Friday, with Rich Paul putting any trade rumors to bed.
