“Giving a big virtual hug to all these countries,” Nicki Minaj wrote on Twitter. “Omg can’t wait to see you guys on TOUR next year. #LastTimeISawYou seems like it was decades ago~ and seeing some of you for the first time ever.” Not only that, but this suggests that the Trinidadian MC is actually hitting multiple countries on her trek. Nothing’s official yet, but it’s very possible that Pink Friday 2 will take her all over the world.

With “Last Time I Saw You,” Nicki Minaj feels all the more grateful for this success, and shared some kind words with fans. “I can’t thank you enough for your love and continued support,” the 40-year-old shared. “I have not been excited about the release of a song to this extent for maybe, I don’t know, I can’t even tell you, I don’t even remember when!”

She continued, “I hope that it’s therapeutic for you. I hope that even after, it makes you reflect. Nicki Minaj only added to the hype surrounding Pink Friday 2, her upcoming album, after she dropped the album’s lead single on Friday. “Last Time I Saw You” has been coming for a while but fans were blown away by the quality, passion, and power behind the new song. However, Nicki wasn’t done wowing fans later in the day.

Taking to Instagram, Minaj hit up her followers with her a seriously fire fit. Minaj dropped a simple video of her showing off a pink and black bodysuit that’s straining only a little against her significant bust. “J’adior Beverly Hills” is written over the front of the outfit. Nicki completed the outfit with a bucket hat and her Queen Sleeze pendant. Fans were absolutely gagging over the images. “Real pretty in the face, little in the waist, and you know she occupy first place ☝🏼,” wrote Landon Ramano.

Nicki Minaj Hypes Drake Collab

However, her own work isn’t the only thing that Nicki is hyped about. During a live stream, Nicki begged Drake to drop For All The Dogs, the album on which she has a feature. “Drake, I’m not going to tell you one more time. The Barbz want the album! He can be Champagne Papi, I don’t care, Papi, The Barbz want the album.”

Fans were disappointed when the new Drake project didn’t drop last month. In fact, backlash was significant enough that Drizzy had to address during his current tour. “I know everybody’s upset because I didn’t drop my album last night,” he told the crowd. “I didn’t say it was dropping last night,” the Certified Lover Boy reminded fans. “So don’t be mad at me. I just said it was coming soon.” No release date for the album has been announced yet. Furthermore, few details have been revealed about Minaj’s track on the album. Additionally, Drake has said that the album will be a return to “old Drake”.

At long last, Nicki Minaj is back. Tonight (September 1), the Queen Barb has shared her new single, “Last Time I Saw You,” just two months ahead of her upcoming fifth studio album, Pink Friday 2.

On “Last Time I Saw You,” Nicki taps into her vocals, delivering a pop and R&B-influenced hit with a painfully relatable message. Throughout the song, she expresses regret for not holding someone closer the last time she saw them.

“I wish I’da hugged you tighter the last time that I saw you / I wish l didn’t waste precious time that night when I called you / I wish I remembered to say I’d do anything for you / Maybe I pushed you away because I thought that I’d bore you,” she sings.

With “Last Time I Saw You,” the Barbz are sure to keep the song on repeat as they dance this form of universal pain away.

Nicki hasn’t revealed too much about her upcoming album, but back in July, she teased a “masterpiece,” saying that her new collection of songs would “save & restore hope in mankind.”

Nicki Minaj is moving full steam ahead on her forthcoming album, Pink Friday 2, to ensure it drops on its November 11 release date. After teasing several unreleased song snippets on TikTok, Minaj took to Instagram on Friday, August 25, to announce her next single, “Last Time I Saw You,” with new promotional images and a video.

The materials were enough to break down the defenses of a notorious online hater of all things, Azealia Banks. In a screenshot captured by Pop Crave, Banks took to her Instagram stories to praise Minaj’s beauty in a lengthy note underlined with shade.

“Like I would never even think you’d like something like this,” wrote Banks. “This is the best look I have ever seen you in. Ever, okay? It’s soft, it’s delicate, it’s kinda North African vibes, it’s bohemian, your facial expression is so relaxed and radiant, and this body?! Nicki, I’ve never seen you look this comfortable in your own skin! Yes. This is sensuality, honey, okay.”

She continued, “Nicki, if you get some cute little Russian twists cuts going, it’s over. Like so, so over. Nah, after this, I never wanna see you choked up in a waist trainer ever again.
