Comedian Kevin Hart’s legal saga has taken a serious turn as his ex-assistant, Miesha Shakes, has officially been served with legal papers related to the lawsuit filed against her and gossip vlogger Tasha K. The comedian is not holding back, employing a process server to ensure the delivery of the necessary documents.

The legal proceedings were set in motion just weeks after Hart initiated legal action against Shakes and YouTuber Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe. According to Radar Online, the documents obtained by the publication revealed that Miesha Shakes was served with the lawsuit at a Glendale, CA, apartment on January 9.

The proof of service of summons, filed in Los Angeles on January 10, solidified the confirmation that Shakes received all the legal documents pertaining to Hart’s lawsuit at 8:11 PM earlier in the week. With this official notification, the ball is now in Shakes’ court as she must decide on her next move and respond to the legal matter.

The lawsuit, as reported by Radar Online last month, stems from an online interview conducted by Tasha K and featuring Miesha Shakes. The interview, published on Tasha K’s Instagram and YouTube channel, “Unwine with Tasha K,” on December 22, delved into sensitive topics, including Shakes’ claims that Kevin Hart cheated on his wife, Eniko, at his office during her employment from August 2017 to October 2020.

Shakes not only made cheating accusations but also alleged that Hart had a gambling problem. The interview was captioned provocatively, stating, “The interview that Kevin Hart will WISH NEVER CAME OUT!!”

In response to the allegations, Kevin Hart’s lawsuit takes a strong stance. The legal documents claim that Tasha K threatened to release the interview unless Hart paid a ransom of $250,000. According to Hart, an individual affiliated with Tasha K reached out to his representative in November, forewarning them about the potential damage to Hart’s reputation.

Taking swift action, Kevin Hart contacted law enforcement and issued a cease and desist order to Tasha K. The lawsuit points to the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that Shakes signed during her employment, with Hart arguing that the release of the interview would constitute intentional interference with contractual relations.

Torrei Hart’s announcement follows Hart and Williams recently exchanging words, following the latter’s appearance on Club Shay Shay. Torrei Hart, also a comedian, revealed she would join Williams on select dates with more on the way.

“Come see me live with my good friend @kattwilliams on the Dark Matter Tour,” Torrei wrote on Instagram.

During NBA Unplugged, which he hosts alongside his Plastic Cup Boyz on ESPN, Hart got some jokes in while watching the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers.

“Another fun fact about the New York Knicks, I don’t know if you guys know this, but Katt Williams bought the Knicks, and it’s rumored that he took the Knicks back, returned them with a receipt,” Hart said. “He’s the first person to ever do that. He bought them for 15 days and returned them. That’s another fun fact about the New York Knicks.”

He added a couple more jokes about Williams’ claims about reading 3,000 books in a year at age six and stating he runs a 4.1 40-yard-dash time.

Katt Williams set 2024 ablaze when he sat down with Shannon Sharpe on the latest episode of Club Shay Shay. The expansive interview found Katt Williams making many claims about Kevin Hart, Steve Harvey, or other comedians that most would consider his peers. He accused Hart of being an industry plant of sorts, a claim that many have debunked since. However, Hart later responded in a brief and passive-aggressive tone. “Gotta get that anger up outcha champ….It’s honestly sad,” he stated. 

Evidently, the feud between Katt Williams and Kevin Hart didn’t end there and it appears that things might be getting personal soon. Torrei Hart, Kevin’s ex-wife, hit Instagram where she shared a photo alongside Williams. However, it appears that Torrei will soon be in cahoots with the comedian as she revealed that she’ll be going on tour with Katt. “ #Charlotte #Orlando #Tampa, come see me live with my good friend [Katt Williams] on the Dark Matters Tour,” she captioned the post. It remains unclear whether her set will include any mentions regarding her ex-husband.

Torrei Hart & Katt Williams Plan To Tour Together

Torrei Hart has tried to get her feet wet in the stand-up world over the past few years. Evidently, Williams has some sort of appreciation for her craft if he’s willing to bring her on tour. Along with the photo with Williams, Torrei shared a snippet from his interview on Club Shay Shay where he discussed the type of comedians that he’s willing to work with. “I only put on comedians that are funnier than me,” he said. “Anyone that told you differently was a fat Faizon liar,” he added, referring to comedian Faizon Love.

Torrei Hart said she’ll join Katt Williams on his tour dates in Charlotte on Jan. 27th, Orlando on Feb. 2nd, and Rampa on Feb. 3rd. Speaking about the comments with Andrew Schulz on their The Brilliant Idiots show, Charlamagne explained why he felt the legendary comedian was being unfair to Hart.

“I saw Katt say something too about Kevin Hart… Kevin Hart’s come-up wasn’t organic. I totally disagree with that,” he said. “I totally disagree with that, and the reason I totally disagree with that is because we watched Kev not succeed in Hollywood. Katt Williams Runs Wild 40-Yard Dash, Fans Clown Kevin Hart

Footage has emerged appearing to back up Katt Williams’ claim on Club Shay Shay suggesting that he can run a sub-4.50 40-yard dash. In the video, Williams is seen running the 40-yard dash in 4.47. That’s the same time that first-round pick Sauce Gardner ran in 2022. It appears that Williams wasn’t kidding about keeping himself in good shape.

However, fans used the video to further the beef between Williams and Kevin Hart. The actor and comedian took to social media in August 2023 to post a few videos of himself rolling around in a wheelchair. According to Hart’s video, he tore his torn lower abdomen and torn abductors while attempting to outpace former NFL star Stevan Ridley in a 40-yard dash. Ridley played eight seasons in the NFL between 2011 and 2018. Hart was reportedly sidelined for about six weeks thanks to the injury.

After originally dismissing Katt Williams’ comments about him, Kevin Hart used his NBA Unplugged show to further address his fellow comedian’s explosive Club Shay Shay appearance. “Do you entertain the circus or do you watch it?” Hart quipped to Kendrick Perkins. The ESPN personality had brought up Williams’ interview. Furthermore, Hart joked that Williams had “bought the New York Knicks” only to “return them with a receipt”.
