Torrei Hart says she means “no shade” to Kevin Hart by embarking on a comedy tour with Katt Williams. Kevin and Williams have been feuding since the latter’s viral appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. She discussed the beef and her upcoming tour during a chat with TMZ published on Wednesday.

“Why wouldn’t he? I mean, I’m funny as f*ck,” she joked when asked why Katt chose her. “That’s my boy. We’ve known each other for years and it’s only right. I’ve opened up for Katt before. He’s given me plenty of opportunities. We’ve shot a movie together. We’re just close. We’re so close Katt has watched my dog before, like we’re friends. We’ve known each other for 20 years. This isn’t something that just happened.” As for Williams’ feud with Kevin, she added: “I have no shade at all to Kevin. Even the stuff that’s going on between him and Katt, that’s not my beef. That is not my beef. I have beef with no one.”

The drama began when Williams accused Kevin of being an industry plant while speaking with Sharpe. “In 15 years in Hollywood, no one in Hollywood has a memory of going to a sold-out Kevin Hart show, there being a line for him, ever getting a standing ovation at any comedy club,” Williams said. Later in the interview, he added: “For a five-year period, every single movie that Kevin Hart did was a movie that had been on my desk that all I had said was just, ‘Can we take some of this Stepin Fetchit sh*t out and then I can do it.” Kevin eventually responded on Twitter, writing: “Gotta get that anger up outcha champ….It’s honestly sad.”

Soon after, Torrei revealed she’d be performing with Williams. “My success is my success. Kevin Hart Reveals Ex-Assistant’s Signed Non-Disclosure Agreement in Court

Comedian Kevin Hart has escalated legal action against his former personal assistant, Miesha Shakes, and blogger Tasha K, following a contentious interview that led to a defamation of character lawsuit. In the latest development, Hart has submitted a crucial piece of evidence to the court: the non-disclosure agreement signed by his ex-assistant, Miesha Shakes.

Radar Online reports that this evidence is a part of Hart’s plea for a restraining order and injunction against the duo. The legal dispute stems from an interview Miesha Shakes did with gossip vlogger Tasha K, in which Hart claims she made several false statements about him. This interview prompted Hart to take legal action last month, alleging defamation.

Miesha Shakes was employed by Hart from August 2017 to October 2020. The lawsuit details an alleged attempt by an associate of Tasha K to extort $250,000 from Hart in exchange for not publishing the interview. Hart refused to pay the sum and instead chose to contact the police. His team also issued a cease and desist letter to Tasha K, demanding she not post the interview due to the existing non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and the alleged false claims made by Miesha.

Despite the cease and desist, Tasha K published the interview. In response, Hart has now attached to his motion the NDA signed by Miesha. This agreement, executed on October 22, 2020, after her employment ended, stipulates that Kevin Hart agreed to pay Miesha $30,000 per year for three years and provide health insurance for 36 months. In return, Miesha agreed not to disclose any confidential information learned during her employment and not to exploit Hart’s name without his advance written consent.

Kevin Hart Seeks Restraining Order Against Blogger Tasha K

Comedian Kevin Hart initiated legal action against gossip vlogger Tasha K, alleging extortion attempts following an unflattering interview with his former personal assistant. Despite Hart’s requests, Tasha K has not removed the video, leading Hart to seek further legal recourse.

According to Radar Online, Hart has requested a temporary restraining order to compel Tasha K to remove the video of her interview with his ex-assistant Miesha Shakes. Hart claims the interview contains defamatory statements that threaten his reputation and career.

Court documents reveal that Hart filed a declaration as part of his lawsuit against both Tasha K and Miesha Shakes. He alleges that the interview, posted on Tasha K’s YouTube channel, features numerous false claims by his former assistant. Hart recounts that before the video was uploaded, an associate of Tasha K proposed to withhold the video for a $250,000 payment, an offer Hart declined and responded to by contacting the police.

Despite receiving a cease and desist letter from Hart’s lawyer, Tasha K proceeded to publish the interview. In response, Hart filed a lawsuit accusing her of civil extortion and defamation. The lawsuit states, “[Tasha] has an established history of posting defamatory and otherwise improper content regarding celebrities.”

In his declaration, Hart emphasizes the impact of these allegations on his career, particularly given his involvement in family-oriented projects like the ‘Jumanji’ franchise, ‘Fatherhood,’ ‘Captain Underpants,’ and ‘The Secret Life of Pets.’ He also mentions his role as a spokesperson for various national brands, which depend on the public perception of his reputation, respectability, and character.

Hart disclosed that Miesha Shakes was employed by him from August 2017 to October 2020. As part of her exit agreement, he agreed to provide her with $30,000 per year and health insurance for three years. Hart asserts that, in addition to discussing private matters in breach of their non-disclosure agreement, Shakes made blatantly false statements in the interview, including an accusation that he secretly recorded a sexual encounter and faced criminal charges related to the incident. Hart denies these claims, stating he never made such a recording nor faced any criminal charges in connection with the alleged incident.

As of now, a judge has not yet decided on Hart’s motion for a temporary restraining order.

A year later, the pair finalized their divorce. The comedian is not holding back, employing a process server to ensure the delivery of the necessary documents.

The legal proceedings were set in motion just weeks after Hart initiated legal action against Shakes and YouTuber Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe. According to Radar Online, the documents obtained by the publication revealed that Miesha Shakes was served with the lawsuit at a Glendale, CA, apartment on January 9.

The proof of service of summons, filed in Los Angeles on January 10, solidified the confirmation that Shakes received all the legal documents pertaining to Hart’s lawsuit at 8:11 PM earlier in the week. With this official notification, the ball is now in Shakes’ court as she must decide on her next move and respond to the legal matter.

The lawsuit, as reported by Radar Online last month, stems from an online interview conducted by Tasha K and featuring Miesha Shakes. The interview, published on Tasha K’s Instagram and YouTube channel, “Unwine with Tasha K,” on December 22, delved into sensitive topics, including Shakes’ claims that Kevin Hart cheated on his wife, Eniko, at his office during her employment from August 2017 to October 2020.

Shakes not only made cheating accusations but also alleged that Hart had a gambling problem. The interview was captioned provocatively, stating, “The interview that Kevin Hart will WISH NEVER CAME OUT!!”

In response to the allegations, Kevin Hart’s lawsuit takes a strong stance. The legal documents claim that Tasha K threatened to release the interview unless Hart paid a ransom of $250,000. According to Hart, an individual affiliated with Tasha K reached out to his representative in November, forewarning them about the potential damage to Hart’s reputation.

The expansive interview found Katt Williams making many claims about Kevin Hart, Steve Harvey, or other comedians that most would consider his peers. He accused Hart of being an industry plant of sorts, a claim that many have debunked since. Evidently, the feud between Katt Williams and Kevin Hart didn’t end there and it appears that things might be getting personal soon. Torrei Hart, Kevin’s ex-wife, hit Instagram where she shared a photo alongside Williams. However, it appears that Torrei will soon be in cahoots with the comedian as she revealed that she’ll be going on tour with Katt. “ #Charlotte #Orlando #Tampa, come see me live with my good friend [Katt Williams] on the Dark Matters Tour,” she captioned the post. Torrei Hart & Katt Williams Plan To Tour Together

Torrei Hart has tried to get her feet wet in the stand-up world over the past few years. Evidently, Williams has some sort of appreciation for her craft if he’s willing to bring her on tour. Along with the photo with Williams, Torrei shared a snippet from his interview on Club Shay Shay where he discussed the type of comedians that he’s willing to work with. “I only put on comedians that are funnier than me,” he said. “Anyone that told you differently was a fat Faizon liar,” he added, referring to comedian Faizon Love.

Torrei Hart said she’ll join Katt Williams on his tour dates in Charlotte on Jan. 27th, Orlando on Feb. 2nd, and Rampa on Feb. 3rd.
