Yesterday (August 15), Kehlani had a show at Philadelphia’s Mann Center. Unfortunately, it was cut short, as Kehlani opted to end the concert early after multiple fans apparently fainted in the audience.
Before walking off stage and ending the show, Kehlani told the audience (as seen in fan-shot videos), “I can’t have this. This is not OK. I don’t feel comfortable. I don’t feel OK. I don’t feel like anybody is safe right now. […] I love you so much. I do not have more words about how disappointed and heartbroken I am. I love you, get home safe.”

In a couple Instagram Story posts after the show, Kehlani wrote, “philly thanks for an incredible evening. i care about you guys more than anything & i put you before anything else. thank you so much to the venue and staff for your diligence swift care for everyone in my audience. outstanding job. i can’t wait to come back. love you Philly. cannot stress how much i love all of you, and how important you are to me. seeing you all on tour for the first time in so many years has really reminded me what i do it for. i hope you know how deep my love runs. thank you for everything.”
Rolling Stone reports that according to officials at the Mann Center, nobody was transported to the hospital during the concert, but three people were given “minimal treatment on site.”

Kehlani dropped her latest album, Blue Water Road, in April and is currently crossing the country on the Blue Water Road Tour. But that’s not stopping her from putting out new music. Earlier this week, the “Nights Like This” singer was featured on Ali Gatie’s new track, “The Look” and today, Babyface has just released the new single “Seamless,” with Kehlani on lead vocals.
The track, which will appear on Babyface’s upcoming album, Girls Night Out, is a sultry R&B jam about trying to get back to that point in a relationship when things are flowing smoothly. Kehlani owns the track and Babyface adds god-mode backing vocals. He explained in a statement what it meant to have Kehlani on “Seamless”:
“I worked with Kehlani many years ago and I am just so proud of who she has become as an artist and also how well she knows herself and her fans. I am really honored to have her collaborate with me many years later for such a special project and I love the song we created. Kehlani is one of one and a true superstar.”

The Blue Water Road tour by two-time GRAMMY® Award nominee Kehlani began this weekend with an outstanding performance at the Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion in Portsmouth, Virginia, with special guests Rico Nasty and Destin Conrad. The multi-platinum singer sang songs from her most recent album, Blue Water Road, including the number-one hits “Can I,” “Toxic,” and “Distraction,” as well as “wish I never,” “everything,” and others.
Blue Water Road, a collection of mostly R&B and orchestral pop songs with spiritual, sexy, and emotional overtones that debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums in May 2022, marks a new chapter in Kehlani’s career. Kehlani’s third studio album, which features guest appearances from Blxst, Justin Bieber, Syd, Jessie Reyez, Ambré, and Thundercat, was created from songs that were originally intended to be bonus songs for the deluxe edition of their critically acclaimed 2020 album It Was Good Until It Wasn’t. The album also represents a metaphorical journey in the artist’s mind to new places.
Following performances in Atlanta, New York, Toronto, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and other cities around North America, Kehlani will conclude their North American leg in Honolulu, Hawaii on Friday, October 21st at Waikiki Shell. The tour is in support of their most recent album. After that, they will go to Europe, where the second part of their tour will begin on November 17 in Copenhagen, Denmark. From there, they will stop in Stockholm, Berlin, Paris, London, and other cities before wrapping up their trip on December 12 at Manchester, UK’s Victoria Warehouse.

Starbucks is a place where people go to get their caffeine fix, meet up with colleagues, or simply get away from the madness of the world. But on Wednesday, viral TikToker Christian Williams and Kehlani showed that it’s a place where altercations can take place, though both sides seem to view the situation a bit differently.
This mediocre singer that everyone’s forgotten about, Kehlani, told my baristas at Starbucks that I was an “a**hole” and to be “safe around me.” Well, I set her straight.

Christian Walker posted a video of himself to Twitter which finds him yelling at the Blue Water Road artist for allegedly telling baristas that he is an “a******” and to be safe around him. He even gets out of the car and walks up to their window to repeat what he says while the 27-year-old simply laughs and shows their phone to the camera. Unbeknownst to Walker, Kehlani was actually on a virtual therapy session, which she confirms in a full explanatory video later on and sensibly shows why they handled the situation so calmly, on top of the journey toward peace and bliss they have been on for the last few years. However, this isn’t the full story.

Kehlani later addressed the matter in their own video, saying they were ahead of Christian Walker in the drive-thru line but heard how he was was “losing his sh**” as he filmed the myriad of flags in Starbucks and berated the workers before it was his turn to order. They went on to say he has a history of harassing people within that community — a community he also identifies with — and they simply trying to warn the staff of impending drama. She even confirmed that he did not post the full altercation, where he called her a “b****.”

The most humorous part is that Kehlani also shared a screenshot to her Instagram story of Christian Walker tweeting back in 2016 how he loves them so much despite calling them a “mediocre singer that everyone forgot about” in Wednesday’s video post. The icing on the cake is their Instagram selfie with a kissy face saying “Therapy works babes I’m proof.” In the face of a viral moment that could reflect poorly on them, Kehlani proved those words to be true.
