Julia Fox Downplays Rumor That Kim Kardashian Copied Her Style

Julia Fox isn’t buying into the notion that Kim Kardashian has copied her style, instead suggesting they both wear “what’s trending.” She discussed her admiration for Kardashian during an interview with Vanity Fair published on Wednesday. The comments come following the release of Fox’s new memoir, Down the Drain.

“I actually really love her,” Fox said of Kardashian. “I grew up watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians and I actually liked it before they were even cool. And when people would bash her I would always go to bat for her.” As for whether she thinks Kardashian has copied her style, Fox remarked: “I would say that there have been some looks that are a little similar to mine. But I feel like, you know, it’s just what’s trending. I don’t know if I’m on her mood board or anything like that.”

As for their similar styles, in 2021, Fox wore the same sheer Jean Paul Gaultier illusion dress that Kardashian rocked three years earlier at E! People’s Choice Awards. They’ve also overlapped wardrobes in designs by Alexander Wang, Versace, and Balenciaga, as noted by Page Six. Outside of just fashion, Fox dated Kardashian’s longtime husband, Kanye West, after their infamous divorce. In her aforementioned memoir, Fox revealed the reality star played a role in her split from West in February 2022.

“He tells me he had a good conversation with his soon-to-be-ex-wife and discovered a lot of information about me,” she recalled. Fox further alleged that Kim told West that he was now dating a former “drug addict.” She, however, said that she previously opened up to West about dealing with heroin addiction.

This time she was once again promoting her new book, this time in London. She once again delivered a look that had fans talking more about her fashion than her words. That was mostly centered around a white corset she wore that had a picture of Princess Diana on it. She also tried to meet the moment of the city she was in with a Union Jack clutch purse. Though the outfit was certainly loud, many online praised just how on-the-nose she was willing to be.

Most of the news about Julia Fox recently has been related to Kanye West. She talks pretty extensively in her memoir about their relationship and revealed quite a few strange details. Julia Fox Explains Why She Ended Things With Kanye West

While Julia Fox may not have the most talked about celebrity memoir released recently there are still plenty of juicy details emerging. In the book, she talks about her relationship with Kanye West. It gave fans yet another peek into the unsurprisingly chaotic world surrounding the controversial rapper. Unlike other memoirs recently though, very little focus is paid to the physical relationship Fox and West had. As it turns out, that’s because there wasn’t much of one. According to Fox, it was more about West desiring constant attention above all else.

“I had my son, and then he want to talk on the phone a lot, and I’d have to change diapers … I bought a pair of AirPods so I could keep it in while I was doing mom stuff. It was so overwhelming and so unsustainable,” she explained during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. “Ultimately, I cannot put anybody else first. My son has to be first. “Praise God” rapper Kanye West’s love life and intimate moments with his alleged new wife, Bianca Censori, have produced more than a few NSFW moments in the media. But if you thought it would die down soon, more details about West’s romantic pursuits are resurfacing thanks to his former fling, Julia Fox. In her new book, Down The Drain, the actress outlined her whirlwind relationship with the mogul from when he asked her to be his girl and beyond. So, what does Fox say about West in the memoir?

According to People, although Fox does not explicitly name West in the literal work, the timeline aligns with the period in which they were involved. In one passage, Fox alleged that West almost immediately had his team intervene with her fashion choices. She also accused West of treating her like “a show monkey.” One excerpt highlighted by the outlet suggested that West offered to pay for a “boob job” for Fox.

“His words stick to me like a piece of lint on my clothes. I can’t shake off the uncomfortable feeling,” penned Fox.

Fox also revealed that when asked to be West’s girlfriend, she initially declined the offer, to which he reportedly replied, “If you’re worried about me embarrassing you, I wouldn’t do that. You have a son, and my mom was a single mom.”

Fox began promoting the book as early as March 2022 when she attended the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party. When asked on the red carpet about its then progress, she said, “I don’t want to give too much of it away because I’m very superstitious. So I don’t like to speak of things before they’re finished. It’s so far a masterpiece if I do say so myself… it was a memoir at first, but now it’s just like my first book.”

Prior to her book’s release, Fox shared with the press that the nature of her and the rapper’s relationship wasn’t sexual. Julia Fox Made A Surprising Confession About Her Sex Life With Kanye West

Remember when Kanye West and Julia Fox dated? That was a fun three months? six months? seven years? (you could tell me it lasted any amount of time and I would believe you) of our lives. Since the breakup, Fox has revealed that the reason she started the relationship was to distract the rapper from bugging his ex-wife and mother of his kids, Kim Kardashian (“I was like, oh my god, maybe I can get him off of Kim’s case”).

Fox also recently confessed that she and West never had sex.

In an interview with the New York Times, Fox was asked if she always knew sex was going to play a big part in her memoir, Down the Drain. “I felt like it was the truth. Why not write it?” she answered. “I have this thing where, in my personal writing, I don’t go into as much detail as I could. I’m like: ‘This crazy thing happened. OK, moving on…’ So I made it a point to put the reader in the room. I didn’t want to skip over things. So maybe some things are too detailed.” There’s nothing about Fox’s sex life with West, however. “Because there, like, wasn’t any,” the Uncut Gems star said. “It wasn’t really about that.”

They were too busy hoarding the world’s supply of denim to have sex.

Down the Drain comes out on October 10th.
