Joe Rogan Wants To Help Drake Amid Betting Struggles

It goes without saying that it’s been a rough month for Drake. For one, Kendrick Lamar unleashed his new album GNX by surprise last week, which has been a major success. This has unsurprisingly resulted in Drake getting clowned by countless social media users, who argue that this just added to Kendrick’s long list of wins. On top of this, he recently decided to take legal action against Universal Music Group (UMG) over Kendrick’s hit diss track “Not Like Us.” He accuses UMG and Spotify of artificially boosting the song and alleges that the label could have prevented it from dropping. This has similarly earned him a great deal of backlash online, from those who feel like this makes him look weak or jealous of Kendrick’s accomplishments.

These aren’t the only Ls Drake has taken as of late, however. He also has a mixed track record when it comes to betting on fights. A few weeks ago, for example, he lost a whopping $355K after betting on Mike Tyson to beat Jake Paul. Shortly after, he won almost $500K after betting on Jon Jones to beat Stipe Miocic at UFC 309. This seemingly broke the “Drake curse,” but regardless, he has someone in the industry who wants to help him out.

This person is Joe Rogan, who recently said he wants to help Drake with his bets on his podcast. “I want to get a hold of Drake and talk to him about his fight picks,” Rogan told Scott Storch during an interview. “That motherf*cker loses more money on fights… I want to call him up.”

Storch proceeded to bring up Drake’s successful Jon Jones bet. Rogan dismissed it, however, arguing that it was too easy. “That’s what I would have thought [would happen] anyway,” he said. “That’s an easy bet.” At the time of writing, it remains unclear whether or not Drizzy has any interest in taking Rogan up on his offer.

Madison Square Garden was packed on Saturday night for UFC 309 with as much attention on audience members as the fight itself. Most notably, President-elect Donald Trump showed up with Elon Musk by his side to watch Jon “Bones” Jones defend his undisputed UFC world heavyweight champion title by defeating Stipe Miocic as chants of “USA, USA” filled the arena as Trump made his highly-anticipated entrance after being walked into the arena by Dana White.

Trump and Musk were not alone. They were joined by Vivek Ramaswamy (who alongside Musk will head up a Department of Government Efficiency also known as DOGE), Tulsi Gabbard (who has been tapped by Trump as the director of national intelligence), House Speaker Mike Johnson, and Robert Kennedy Jr. (who Trump has nominated to lead the Department of Health and Human Services). Don Jr. and Eric Trump also sat with their father’s entourage along with Kid Rock. The group was seated next to Jelly Roll and his entourage. Other celebs in attendance included Deontay Wilder, Tom Aspinall, Anthony Kiedis, Karl Anthony Towns, and Triple H.

Most notably, Jon Jones did the signature “Trump dance” after defeating Miocic in the third round and pointing to Trump who gave him a thumbs up. Jones then presented Trump the championship belt.

Joe Rogan, who met up with Trump after the event for which he provided commentary, stated during the broadcast: “If people at home could hear the sound in this room right now. It is so loud! It’s always loud when he comes in, but now that he’s won [the election], now that he’s the president again, oh my God!”

UFC fighter Jim Miller went a little bit political when he called for justice for Peanut the squirrel during his victory speech. He also said that he hopes DOGE can clean up the misuse of government resources.

Elon Musk accused Jennifer Lopez of failing to warn people about the allegations surrounding Diddy and says that, in turn, people shouldn’t trust her endorsement of Kamala Harris. He discussed Lopez and Diddy’s relationship during an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast. It comes after authorities arrested Diddy on charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering back in September. He’s already pleaded not guilty and denied all allegations against him.

“J Lo was like his ex-girlfriend and it’s like now deciding she’s like warning people against Trump. How many people did she warn against Diddy, right? Oh zero, ok. Maybe we shouldn’t trust her,” Musk said at one point as caught by TMZ. Rogan agreed, adding: “It’s peculiar that so many who frequented his gatherings are now outspoken supporters of Harris.” From there, Musk remarked: “People in the music entertainment industry had to know that Diddy was like abusing, you know, kids basically and yet they still fed him kids. Like where’s the accountability? They had to know.”

Lopez isn’t the only celebrity Musk has criticized for endorsing Kamala Harris. He also recently labeled Cardi B a “puppet” in response to her speech at a rally for the Democratic candidate in Milwaukee. It’s also not the first time he’s brought up Diddy in doing so. Responding to news about early voting numbers, Musk wrote on X: “No amount of Diddy party ‘celebrity’ endorsements can save Kamala.”

Towards the beginning of the special, he joked about being known for spreading misinformation before getting to his skepticism of COVID-19 vaccines.

“COVID was just so strange,” he said, as noted by Variety. “And we lost a lot of people during COVID, and most of them are still alive. There’s a lot of people that I don’t f*ck with anymore. Recently, Joe Rogan sat down with former drug kingpin “Freeway” Rick Ross, who’s known for his LA-based crack-cocaine empire. During the interview, he shared his take on having his name used by the rapper, who was born William Leonard Roberts II. He claims that on top of never being asked for permission, Ross has never even admitted to taking the name from someone else.

Freeway went on to argue that since Rick Ross has money, people are willing to overlook his allegedly stolen name. “It’s cr*zy,” he added. “How would you take my name and not have the decency to ask me? First of all, you should have asked, but then never pay homage? He won’t even admit that he stole the name. He tells people that he invented the name… Like, how the f*ck do you invent this name?”

Per a report from Bloomberg, Joe Rogan averages a staggering 14.5 million listeners, according to new data from Spotify. However, that does not do the scope the Rogan’s podcast justice. The Joe Rogan Experience has nearly three times the followers of the second-most popular Spotify podcast, TED Talks Daily at 5 million.

Rogan recently signed a multi-year extension with Spotify to continue producing The Joe Rogan Experience for the platform. However, the new deal comes with a major change. Gone is the previously implemented distribution exclusivity clause. Spotify and Rogan will now look to also release the highly successful podcast on Apple, Amazon, and YouTube amongst other platforms. The Wall Street Journal estimates that the deal is worth somewhere in the region of $250M. His previous deal with Spotify is believed to have been worth between $100M and $200M.

Johnson, who became a criminal justice activist after spending more than a decade in prison, was arrested after body parts were found in his Bronx apartment. While no formal relationship between Johnson and his victim has been revealed, the pair were jointly incarcerated at Sing Sing Prison.

Johnson appeared on Rogan’s podcast last month. The lengthy interview involved Johnson, who claimed to be a one-time member of the Bloods, speaking on his journey to redemption. He had received a 50-year sentence for armed robbery and other charges in 1999. However, he was paroled in 2019 and began working for a public defense advocacy group in Queens. His father expressed shock at the news, believing that his son was reformed. However, Johnson will be headed back to police custody and possibly back to jail after just five years.
