Joe Budden Faces Backlash For Melyssa Ford Roast

Joe Budden and his podcast co-hosts are facing backlash on social media for roasting Melyssa Ford before the ending of a recent episode of the show. After asking Ford for permission to jump on the topic, the group trolled her for wearing “granny panties” to work. While she consented to the conversation, she joked the audience would “eat you up.”

“Yea this was super weird, sometimes them n****s act like they 17 with some of these conversations lol,” one fan wrote. Another user joked: “Mel’s civil suit is going to ring [off] in the courtroom.” One more added: “Yeah Mel going to go crazy with the tell all books and interviews.” Other fans defended the conversation.  “This is the truest form of being one of the guys. Mel is comfortable, they’ve discussed if they can bring it up beforehand, I know it’s 2024 but some people can still have these relationships no matter how scared everyone else is,” one user wrote.

The incident is just the latest of many times Budden has made headlines for polarizing comments on his podcast. Earlier this month, he criticized Travis Scott and Playboi Carti’s Grammys performance. “What the f**k is Travis and his man doing up here?” Budden began. “Ay, you two bozos! Get the f**k off the stage when n***as got beautiful women and tuxedos on, honestly. You up there smashing s**t. You got the nerve… All that s**t look different when it ain’t a thousand little white kids jumping up and down.”

Joe Budden & Co-Host Ish Turned Into Meme Fodder After Heated Argument, Sexyy Red Joins The Fun

Joe Budden is known for having some very heated conversations on his podcast. Overall, he doesn’t mind disagreeing with people. Moreover, when he does engage in these disagreements, he can get extremely animated. This doesn’t always go well for him as the internet will say he is being emotional. Additionally, he has definitely upset former co-hosts of his podcast, such as Rory & Mal. Either way, Joe continues to do as he does, and no one is going to stop him.

In a recent episode of the JBP, Budden and Ish got into it all over again in regard to a situation with a woman. This is not the first time Budden and Ish had spoken on this exact topic. Essentially, Ish had been with a woman and then later on, Joe had kissed her. Joe had said this is something he would never do, although Ish had receipts and it led to a huge argument. Well, in this recent episode, the situation was brought up and Joe exploded into a rage. He even had to get up to cool off. Subsequently, he is being turned into a meme.

Joe Budden Vs. Ish

Fans took to social media where they shared the specific clip of Joe getting angry, all while adding their own captions to it. In fact, Sexyy Red was one of the many people who decided to join in on the fun. She shared the video and captioned it “‘I ain’t spending on da girl I like.’” Many others shared similar captions, and the video is still making the rounds on Twitter. It is certainly not the first time that Joe has been turned into a meme, and it definitely will not be the last.

Hopefully, Joe and Ish can continue to be cool with one another after all of this. Let us know what you think of the Joe Budden Podcast, in the comments section below. Dr Umar Says It’s “White Supremacy” To Consider Eminem The Best Rapper

Dr Umar is no stranger to public drama, beefs, and viral rants. All of that sort of came together during a recent appearance he made on the Joe Budden podcast. In the clip, he warned about the dangers of white people invading the African space of rap music. The reason he has such an issue with it is that white rappers can divorce themselves from the culture of rap music and return to white privilege whenever they want.

Unsurprisingly, some of the other guests on the podcast and even Budden himself disagree. When Budden asks Umar if Eminem is one of the best rappers of all time he has an answer. He claims that no non-African could be the best at any piece of African culture. By comparison he claims that he couldn’t go to a place like Palestine and become the best at anything Palestinian. That sparks a full on debate between all of the guests on the show discussing Eminem, the GOAT debate, and even white supremacy. Check out the full clip of their conversation below.

Dr Umar’s Take On The GOAT Debate

Later on in the clip, Umar even begins to reference actions beyond just rapping. “I don’t see Eminem building no schools & hospitals, I don’t see DJ Khaled building no schools & hospitals,” he says. Other guests on the podcast and Budden himself bring up a number of objections. Some of them disagree with the entire premise of Umar’s point. Other’s raise various objections of the different goalposts he erects to even qualify for the GOAT debate.

Dr Umar last weighed in on public drama last month. He gave his take on a beef that sparked between DJ Akademiks and Saucy Santana. The drama drew in quite a few of rap music’s biggest drama followers, Umar included. What do you think of Dr Umar’s thoughts that Eminem couldn’t possibly be the GOAT of hip-hop? Let us know if you agree with him in the comment section below.

Joe Budden Apologizes To Lupe Fiasco For “Clout Chaser” Accusation

Joe Budden has apologized to Lupe Fiasco for recently calling him a “clout chaser” on his podcast. Budden was reacting to the rapper’s remix of Andre 3000’s instrumental track, “I Swear, I Really Wanted to Make a ‘Rap’ Album But This Is Literally the Way the Wind Blew Me This Time,” from New Blue Sun.

“I gotta apologize to Lupe because I called him a ‘clout chaser,’” Budden began. “He tweeted his Grammys and I tweeted some sh*t and then he called me. I answered the phone and said ‘Yo, man, why you tweeting your Grammys at me? What’s going on man?’ He said ‘I didn’t like that clout chaser sh*t. Say what you want about the music. I don’t give a f*ck what you think about music. But, you know I’m not a clout chaser. Come on. I ain’t never done clout chasing.’ I said, ‘I don’t even remember saying that n***a. Who said that about you?’ Freudian slips. I didn’t mean that about Lupe. All I meant to say was that sh*t was ass.”

Lupe Fiasco Performs At Hip-Hop 50 Live Concert

US rapper Lupe Fiasco performs during the Hip Hop 50 Live concert, marking the 50th anniversary of the birth of hip hop, at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx borough of New York City on August 11, 2023. A genre, a culture and a lifestyle all at once: hip hop has traveled from the block party to the billionaire’s club, soundtracked protest and celebration, and asserted seismic influence over the course of pop. The reigning music style evolved in rapid, anarchic ways, rocking the industry establishment that long resisted its power, and fully embodying the culture of youth even as it grew. This year hip hop turns 50, an anniversary that’s offered its elders, its fans and the city that birthed it a milepost to reflect on its cultural weight. As for Budden’s original criticism, he said: “Hey Lupe, man, stop. Stop it. He rapping over them damn flutes. I cut that shit right off. Oh Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. Yo dawg, it’s women listening…with vaginas. Please. Why would he do that to them? I can’t say nothing ’cause he gonna diss me. … That was some bullshit. That was some clout chasing.” Lupe eventually fired back on social media by comparing his streaming number with Budden’s “We don’t chase whats already been achieved,” he wrote. “Victory laps sometimes look like qualifiers especially from the stands.”

Why Is Cam’ron Dissing Melyssa Ford From The ‘Joe Budden Podcast?’

cam'ron podcast
YouTube

For the past few days, podcast hosts Cam’ron and Melyssa Ford have been going back and forth, generating quite a bit of buzz among the fans of both shows as the two millennial favorites unfurl their friction for all the world to see.

If you are up on everything that’s happened, here’s a quick refresher.

Who Is Melyssa Ford?

Ford, who currently appears as a co-host on The Joe Budden Podcast, started her career much like her co-host and her new rival — in the world of rap. However, where they rose to fame behind the mic, she did so in front of the camera as an in-demand video vixen, appearing in clips from the likes of Jay-Z, Ghostface Killah, Mystikal, Jadakiss, and Usher. In the mid-2010s, after making a run at a film and television career, she made the pivot to podcasting, appearing on the Hollywood Unlocked show until 2020 when she started her own show. She joined the Joe Budden Podcast earlier this year.

What Did Melyssa Ford Say About Cam’ron?

It was during a recent episode of Joe’s show that Ford started the feud. Responding to Cam’s on-air anecdote about a wild trip to a brothel in the ’90s, Ford wondered aloud, “Is there a distinct possibility that there may have been underage girls in that whore house?” While she was chastised by her co-host, when Cam learned of her comments, he went all the way off.

What Did Cam’ron Say About Melyssa Ford?

Back on Cam’ron’s show, It Is What It Is with fellow Harlem rapper Mase, the de facto Dipset top man addressed Ford’s remarks, saying, “Tread lightly. Be careful ’cause I’ll tell you one thing: I know a lot of people at ICE [U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement]. I’ll have you escorted back up across the border [Ford is originally from Canada]… It screams desperation. We’ll get a petition to get you out the country. Cut it out.”

Ford later apologized, but Cam wasn’t having it. During an Instagram Live stream, he denied her suggestion that and Mase had sex with underage girls, then called her apology “fake” and accused her of escorting herself.

“First of all, I only like older b*ches,” he said. “Second of all, it was 1992 — we were underage! I just turned 16!” Shutting down her apology, he fumed, “You can’t just say sh*t like that and two days later be like, ‘Oh, my bad. I wasn’t thinking.’ You damn right you wasn’t thinking! Why say that in the beginning?… I could’ve went straight to: Ice-T f*cked you in the bathroom for $2,000 when you was doing waitressing. I didn’t even go there! You used to f*ck in the bathroom at the Kit Kat Club or one of them old-ass clubs. Stop, you a video vixen!”

He also couldn’t help getting in a jab at his fellow rapper turned show host (who can’t seem to stop getting himself into these situations). “Shout out to Joe Buddens for hiring all these washed n****s,” he cracked. “You should open up a dry cleaning.”

Joe Budden Calls Cap On Fat Joe’s Comments About Lying In His Raps

Joe Budden is someone who has a wide range of opinions when it comes to the hip-hop world. If he has something to say about someone, more often than not, he will just come out and say it. Overall, this has gotten him in trouble with some of his fans and peers. However, he usually stands on whatever he says, at least for the most part. His recent spat with NBA YoungBoy was actually one of the few times where he actually apologized for something.

Now, however, Budden is taking aim at none other than Fat Joe. Essentially, Budden seems to take issue with some of Joe’s comments about lying in his raps. Recently, the rapper revealed that Joey Crack was simply a nickname girls made up for him because they would see his butt when he sat up. Moreover, he claimed to have lied in 95 percent of his songs. In Budden’s eyes, this seems like a bit of a copout and just a flat-out lie. You can see the clip in which Budden says that, below.

Joe Budden Speaks Out

“First of all, Fat Joe is lying,” Budden said. “That’s number one. Fat Joe is lying. That is a lie! So he’s making up a lie to clean it? Don’t do that! Cuz nobody even said nothing! Fat Joe said that his name Joey Crack comes from back in the day. When he would stand up, the homegirls — when he got up, his ass crack would show, so they used to call him Joey Crack. That’s weird.” Needless to say, Joe is feeling extremely skeptical right now. Whether or not Fat Joe responds, remains to be seen.

With Joe’s latest comments in mind, let us know what you think, in the comments section below. Is Budden right or do you think he is going too hard on Fat Joe? Joe Budden Says He’s “Way Bigger” Than NBA YoungBoy Amid Clout-Chasing Accusations

Joe Budden has fired back at NBA YoungBoy and his fans for claiming that he dissed the rapper for clout. Addressing the backlash to his criticism during a Twitter Space on Sunday night, the podcast host brought up the statistics on YoungBoy’s latest albums.

“I just want to say I’m way bigger than him. Stop this,” he began. “You young idiots get fooled by these label metrics and these digital tricks. Would you like me to read you the numbers on YoungBoy’s last six projects?”

Tasha K Calls Out Joe Budden And Says He’s A “Puppet”

In the fast-paced world of hip-hop gossip, Tasha K is known for fearlessly diving into controversial topics. And this time she’s calling out Joe Budden for his conspicuous silence on the Diddy scandal. “Everybody mad cause Joe ain’t speak, what y’all expect?” Tasha K declared in a recent video. She criticized the podcast host for citing legal reasons as his rationale for not addressing the accusations against Diddy. Tasha K, no stranger to pushing the envelope, raised a thought-provoking question about the consequences of speaking out against powerful figures. She drew a parallel to Wendy Williams’ post-reporting struggles. She questioned, “Have you seen any major sites reporting on the fact that he did or didn’t do it? Diddy is notorious for having people fired. He’s trained them not to speak out, whether it’s true or not true.”

However, the controversial commentator argued there’s a reason Joe Budden is hesitant. Furthermore, she thinks him not delving into the Diddy scandal is rooted in a personal connection. “This [Diddy situation] was personal for Joe. He’s been on the internet a long time and has seen clips of himself circulating about women making allegations of him abusing them,” Tasha K claimed. In her eyes, Budden’s transformation into a domesticated man with a girlfriend doesn’t clear him of potential skeletons in his closet. Moreover, Tasha K boldly asserted that Joe Budden is involved in this world. A world that tolerates and even celebrates individuals accused of mistreating women.

In the unpredictable realm of hip-hop drama, it remains to be seen whether Joe Budden will break his silence and address the allegations against Diddy. Moreover, audiences wonder if he’ll continue to navigate the fine line between loyalty and journalistic integrity. However, let us know your thoughts on HNHH!
