Andre Ward Gives Jake Paul His Flowers For Expanding Boxing’s Audience

Boxing legend and Olympic gold medalist gave high praise for Jake Paul during a recent interview on TMZ. “I don’t hate on it. The crossover stuff like what Jake Paul, Logan [Paul]is doing, [Francis] Ngannou just did, I respect it. That takes a lot of courage, takes a lot of heart. It actually brings a new audience, more eyeballs,” Ward said, “and if the fanbase follows them over to boxing, then more power to ’em. I’m a fan of it, I appreciate it and I watch it.” Ward said. Furthermore, he noted that he would be open to taking on one of the Paul Brothers in an exhibition fight.

The rise of non-traditional boxing has been a mixed bag. Jake Paul has talent but little desire to fight actual boxers. Logan is more interested in pursuing his wrestling career than in boxing. Furthermore, both his fight with Dillon Danis and KSI’s fight with Tommy Fury was referred to as a “disgrace to boxing”. However, then you have Francis Ngannou giving Tyson Fury “the toughest fight in a decade” and even receiving a WBC ranking out of it.

Jake Paul Reveals December Opponent

Meanwhile, Paul revealed his opponent for his upcoming bout in December. Paul will fight Houston-based professional boxer Andre August on December 15 in Orlando. The news comes just about a week after Paul’s team revealed that their initial opponent had failed to secure a visa for the United States. August is 35 years old and has a 10-1-1 career record. That makes him the most experienced fighter Paul has faced in his career so far. Furthermore, it marks a shift in Paul’s approach to boxing. It’s hard to take the decision as anything other than Paul addressing the primary criticism against him – that he takes name value over boxing reputation when it comes to opponents.

“I’m a professional boxer and I want to be world champion, so I need to pursue the path towards greatness against people who have been boxing their whole life. So far, my entire boxing career has been on pay-per-view, but now it’s about more than business. Now I want to build my experience in the ring against seasoned fighters. I’m coming to prove my greatness on Friday, December 15th live on DAZN for the world to see,” Paul said in a statement.

Jake Paul Set to Take on Andre August on Dec. 15

Jake Paul is already set to get back in the ring. The 7-1 boxing star will face Andre August on Friday, Dec. 15, from Orlando, FL. The fight will be an 8-round cruiserweight battle.

According to Most Valuable Promotions, August is 10-1-1 on a fight-fight win streak and has more knockouts than any opponent for Paul before. The tickets are set to go on sale this Friday, Dec. 15.

After suffering his first professional loss in February against Tommy Fury, Paul bounced back with a resounding unanimous decision victory against combat sports icon Nate Diaz in August. Now, Jake Paul is more determined than ever to achieve his goal of becoming a world champion.

Paul’s impressive journey in boxing has earned him numerous accolades, including ESPN Ringside’s 2021 Knockout of The Year and Sports Illustrated’s 2021 Breakout Boxer of the Year. His dedication to pay equality in boxing, support for female fighters, and promotion of boxing prospects through Most Valuable Promotions have also solidified his place in the sport.

Jake Paul and his co-founder Nakisa Bidarian will continue to showcase their premier talent in upcoming DAZN events. On October 27th, Amanda Serrano, the undisputed featherweight champion and seven-division world champion, will face WBO challenger Danila Ramos in a historic unified featherweight title bout.

“8 fights in the boxing game and I’m already its biggest name,” said Jake Paul. “I’ve proved that I can headline the biggest global events and defy the odds. PPV after PPV after PPV, and I’m just getting started. My mission is to be a world champion and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get there. December 15th is the next step on my journey, and I promise you’re not going to want to miss it.”

“Jake’s star power and popularity have proved that he has what it takes to command massive audiences worldwide and become the biggest name in boxing. In just eight professional fights so far, Jake has already demonstrated his historical commercial draw, that he is a force to be reckoned with, and that he is on the way to making an everlasting impact on the sport inside and outside the ring,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions. “We are proud to partner with DAZN to bring Jake Paul back to global audiences on December 15th as he continues his unwavering pursuit to become a world champion and put on massive events.”

“Jake Paul is a superstar in and out the ring and we are excited to once again have him fighting on DAZN,” said Joe Markowski, CEO of DAZN North America. “And what a run of shows DAZN has for you in December! Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney, Regis Prograis, Sunny Edwards, Bam Rodriguez and of course Jake Paul all fighting live and only on DAZN.”

This event will feature three-minute rounds, equal to men’s championship fights, taking place at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. Before the championship fight, MVP will present “Most Valuable Prospects III,” introducing the world to the next generation of boxing stars.

August Poses Real Challenge For Paul

While this fight will not have the glamor of Paul’s previous fights, August will serve as a very real test of Paul’s boxing ability. “I don’t talk very much. I’m all about that action! Jake Paul has the money, the fame, the team and the resources but he doesn’t have my hunger. When that bell rings, I am going to go straight to Jake Paul and ring his bell and send him back to YouTube for good,” August said of the fight.

Furthermore, members of Paul’s camp praised the former YouTuber for taking on the challenge presented by August. Once again [he’s] doing what very few of the best and biggest boxers in the world have done in their 9th professional fight – fighting someone with a better record and more experience. Pound-for-pound, the great Terrence Crawford fought a 9-14 opponent in his 9th fight, Canelo Alvarez fought a 0-1 opponent, and Gervonta Davis fought an opponent that had 31 losses! But Terence, Canelo, and Gervonta didn’t have the world watching. Jake Paul does, and he’s once again putting it all on the line taking on a 10-1 opponent,” Nakisa Bidarian said.

Jake Paul Speaks Out On Cocaine Allegations

Jake Paul has become a massive fighter over the past few years. Although there are plenty of naysayers out there, he has won the vast majority of his fights. Overall, the only match that he was not able to win was against none other than Tommy Fury. However, he is now set to fight in MMA potentially, against Nate Diaz. Furthermore, he wants to get involved in more boxing matches. It even seems like a rematch against Fury is probably.

Recently, Paul was at his brother Logan’s fight against Dillon Danis. As many of you know, there was a massive brawl inside of the ring during that fight. Jake was in there, although many noticed that he was sweaty, confused, and seemed to be continuously dusting off his nose. Subsequently, this led to allegations that he is a coke fiend. Well, in a new YouTube video, Paul decided to address to claims, once and for all.

Jake Paul Gets Serious

“This is the thing, is I go to brawl in the ring to save my f***ing brother,” Paul began. “Forty grown men around me, everyone’s huffing and puffing, I’m yelling, ‘You bitch, you’re lucky I didn’t kill you.’ and I’m literally drenched in sweat. I come out, everyone knows I’m the most sweatiest person in the world. So I get into the ring to like, go be there for my brother and s***, and I put my hat on and I’m literally sweating down my face, so I’m just like this, trying to get the sweat off of my f***ing face.” Not everyone will believe Jake, however, his explanation does seem fairly plausible.

Moving forward, it is going to be interesting to see what Jake’s next move is. Hopefully, we find out sooner rather than later. Let us know what you think of the fighter’s explanation, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world. Jake Paul Hits Out At KSI With Brutal Forehead Joke

Jake Paul has gone after KSI, posting about the YouTuber on his Instagram story. “Mf needs to make an appeal with god for the genetics he got,” Paul wrote alongside an edited picture of KSI with a pronounced forehead alongside a deformed skull. The joke is based on the fact that KSI already has a fairly pronounced forehead.

The pair have been feuding on and off for a couple years now. Paul has labeled KSI a copycat in recent weeks, suggesting he only fought Tommy Fury because Paul did so first. Furthermore, KSI is considered a potential opponent for Paul after the latter announced that he was preparing to fight an unnamed fighter on December 15. Another possible contender is Tommy Fury. However, Nate Diaz has come out and is very eager to rematch Paul.

KSI Challenges Fury Result

Meanwhile, KSI has formally filed an appeal into the result of his fight against Tommy Fury last weekend. “JJ has instructed a King’s Counsel who advised the PBA yesterday that he would be appealing the result of the fight. For obvious reasons, we will not get into the specifics of the appeal publicly and allow the process to play out in accordance with PBA rules,” Misfits Boxing owner Mams Taylor wrote on social media.

The YouTuber has been vocally unhappy about the fight ever since he fell to Fury. Their hyped fight ended in an underwhelming majority decision verdict that often featured more grappling than punching. “It was a robbery. … How many jabs did you land? … Look at your face. Look at your eyes,” KSI shot at his opponent after the fight. “He was trying to fuck up my equilibrium,” the 30-year-old said, referring to Fury’s repeated use of rabbit punches – illegal punches to the back of the neck. Fury was deducted one point in the second round for a rabbit punch. However, he faced no other consequences for the behavior.

Nate Diaz Demands Jake Paul Rematch

Nate Diaz has openly challenged Jake Paul to a rematch after Paul announced his intention to fight in December. “Rematch December. You ain’t got nobody to fight. So I’ll beat your ass dec 15th,” Diaz wrote on Instagram alongside the mockup of a promotional flyer for the fight. However, reaction to the rematch was tepid outside of some of Diaz’s MMA colleagues. Paul himself responded to the challenge, posting a parody of Diaz’s flyer with Derek, the viral spokesperson for sportsbook Betr, taking Paul’s place.

While Paul has confirmed that he is fighting on December 15, his opponent remains a mystery. Most believe that it’s likely going to be a rematch against Tommy Fury, who Paul lost to earlier this year. This line of thinking is supported by the fact that Paul said the fight would be the next step on his journey to becoming a world boxing champion. However, Fury is literally less than a week removed from his last fight and would be entering a December 15 bout on two months’ training. Paul is expected to reveal his opponent in the coming weeks.

Paul Trades Words With Deji At Prime Card

Meanwhile, Paul did recently beef with another of his former opponents. Paul squared off with Deji backstage at the DAZN Prime Card event last weekend. “I would destroy you. If we fought again, I would absolutely beat you,” Deji shot at Paul in a joint interview. “This is why I didn’t come tonight. I didn’t want to deal with all these people who got famous off of me,” Paul shot back. Paul beat Deji in an amateur fight way back in 2018. However, Paul is expected to challenge KSI, Deji’s brother. The two have been hinting at it for some time now. KSI comes off an uninspiring majority decision loss to Tommy Fury.

Prior to the KSI-Fury fight, Paul had weighed in on KSI as an opponent and his expectations for the bout. “Well, I think it’s a win-win for [KSI]. He gets the money. Even if he loses, then it’s like ‘Okay, whatever. Me and Jake both lost to Tommy. Then, we can still fight.’ But if he were to just fight me and I win, then it’s like he’s just, like, done. You know, let’s just say that there’s this chance that he clips Tommy with his wild style and catches him. It’s boxing! I think Tommy TKOs him in the fourth round,” Jake said of the fight. Of course, Fury never knocked down KSI and took a tight decision win instead.

Jake Paul Announces Return to the Ring on Dec. 15th

Tommy Fury Hands Jake Paul First Pro-Boxing Loss in Split Decision

Jake “The Problem Child” Paul (7-1, 4 KOs), the international superstar and founder of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), is set to make his return to the ring on Dec. 15th. The fight will be available worldwide on DAZN.

Jake Paul And Deji Trade Words Backstage At Prime Card

Jake Paul squared off with Deji backstage at the DAZN Prime Card event. “I would destroy you. If we fought again, I would absolutely beat you,” Deji shot at Paul in a joint interview. “This is why I didn’t come tonight. I didn’t want to deal with all these people who got famous off of me,” Paul shot back. Paul is expected to challenge KSI, Deji’s brother, to fight. The two have been hinting at it for some time now. However, it will likely depend on how KSI fares against Tommy Fury. Paul beat Deji in an amateur fight way back in 2018.

However, both Paul and Deji are in Manchester to support their siblings. Jake is rooting for his brother Logan while Deji is backing his brother in the aforementioned fight against Fury. In recent weeks, Dillon Danis, who Logan is fighting, has taken a few shots at Jake. Jake isn’t a real boxer; he’s a loser, a lifelong JV athlete who hand-picks the exact opponents to make him look decent. He’s a scam artist, just like Logan – two little insecure boys deep down fronting with tattoos and false confidence,” Danis wrote on X last week alongside a picture of Jake pulling a goofy face.

Jake Paul Thinks KSI-Fury Ends In Round Four

As for the fights, Paul was pretty open about how he thinks KSI-Fury will go down.

Meanwhile, KSI has claimed that he doesn’t think Fury is taking the fight seriously. The YouTuber’s evidence for this was the Boxrec profile of Fury’s latest sparring partner, Owen Kirk. Kirk is a 24-year-old fighter out of Morecambe, England who is 3-1-2 in his professional career. Kirk has drawn his last two fights and was presumably training with Fury in preparation for his October 21 bout in Liverpool. However, the young fighter clearly isn’t the caliber of opponent that KSI would like to see those fighting against him training with.

Dillon Danis Trolls Jake Paul, Calls Out Jon Jones

Dillon Danis appears to have reached the level of internet trolling where he targets anyone he can think of. While his attacks against Logan Paul continue, Danis also took time this week to go after Jake Paul as well. “Jake isn’t a real boxer; he’s a loser, a lifelong JV athlete who hand-picks the exact opponents to make him look decent. He’s a scam artist, just like Logan – two little insecure boys deep down fronting with tattoos and false confidence,” Danis wrote on X alongside a picture of Jake pulling a goofy face.

However, Danis also bizarrely decided to take aim at UFC champion Jon Jones in a separate post. “If there was a world record for dodging, @JonnyBones would be the undisputed champ. But against a real legend like me? Doubtful. Maybe when he’s done playing dress-up as a fighter, he’ll muster the courage to step into the big league. I’ll be here, ready to give him a lesson in greatness.” While there has been some criticism of Jones “dodging” fights, he’s still one of the UFC’s best fighters while Danis hasn’t fought in four years, has dodged multiple fights, and has never been invited to fight in the UFC.

Dillon Danis Wants UFC Shot

Perhaps Danis calling out Jones is part of his wider plan following the Paul fight. Danis has stated a desire to get a shot in the UFC if he beats Paul. “I’m willing to go and go out there and see if what I’m saying is true. If I go to the UFC, give me your toughest fight. Give me Ian Garry, give me Neil Magny. Anybody. Leon Edwards. That would be the easiest fight. Colby [Covington], anybody,” Danis told The MMA Hour earlier this week. Danis is still technically under contract with Bellator, the Paramount-owned UFC rival. However, he hasn’t fought for the promotion since a pair of fights in 2019.

Furthermore, Danis claimed that his target was the UFC despite an offer from Misfits Boxing. “[Misfits is] trying to sign me, if I beat him. They’re actually in kahoots, who wants me, Jake [Paul] or KSI. But why am I doing that, boxing? I’m a jiu-jitsu guy. It’s so stupid. I want to go tap [UFC lightweight champion [Islam [Makhachev]. I want to go fucking beat these guys.” However, everything rides on the fight against Paul on October 14.

Jake Paul Links Up With GOP Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy

In a new TikTok released by Jake Paul, the influencer and boxer linked up with Vivek Ramaswamy, who is currently third in GOP presidential candidate polling. The pair dance together as text appears on-screen explaining how Ramaswamy is making an effort to “reach out to the younger generations.” It’s actually quite the ironic post, given that Ramaswamy doesn’t believe that people under the age of 25 should be allowed to vote. The billionaire has not made much of an impact on the polls. However, he has received a substantial amount of attention for a handful of his policies. As mentioned, Ramaswamy believes that, aside from a military exemption, the voting age should be 25. Furthermore, Ramaswamy believes voters must have to pass a civics test to vote. This is despite Ramaswamy himself not knowing when the Constitution was written.

Meanwhile, Paul is a longtime Republican. It is believed that he voted for Donald Trump in 2020 and only recently appeared to distance himself from the embattled former President. Elsewhere, Paul has criticized President Joe Biden on multiple occasions. His meeting with Ramaswamy comes a day after Paul, who calls himself “the people’s champion” (to paraphrase Noah Lyles – “People’s Champion of What?”), said he would be open to meeting with Presidential Candidates. At this time, it’s unknown if any other candidates have reached out to Paul. At the time of writing, there are 13 widely recognized candidates running for the GOP nomination.

Ramaswamy Feuds With Eminem

However, Ramaswamy has previously gone viral for a few other reasons. Notably, he recently feuded with rapper Eminem. Ramaswamy had been using “Lose Yourself” at a number of rallies throughout 2023. However, he then received a Cease and Desist from Eminem over the usage of the song. This is Presidential election tradition at this point, with candidates (usually GOP) getting told to stop using an artist’s music. This is usually because the artist isn’t a Republican and doesn’t want their music associated with the party. Hilarious examples include multiple GOP candidates being told to stop using “Born in the USA” by Bruce Springsteen. Clearly they had no idea that the song is not a patriotic ballad despite its title.

“I’ll respect his wishes but I would just say will the ‘Real Slim Shady’ please stand up? Eminem and his rise used to be a guy who actually stood up to the establishment and said the things the establishment didn’t want him to say. But I have hope for him that he will one day rediscover the ‘Renegade’ that made him great and I’m rooting for that success in his life,” Ramaswamy said on MSNBC. Eminem doesn’t often speak on his politics but he has made it pretty clear in the past that he is a supporter of the Democratic party. This is unsurprising given that Detroit regularly votes blue, even if Michigan votes red.
