Casanova Hopes To Be Home Soon, Says Officially Ice

It was back in December 2020 when Casanova turned himself over to the authorities. He was accused of being an integral part of the Gorilla Stone Nation gang, and investigators claimed he participated in drug trafficking. Later, Casanova pleaded guilty to federal racketeering charges, but at this time, he’s been waiting to be sentenced.

Officially Ice offered an update on Cas during a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast. “I saw Casanova this week, shout out to him,” Ice shared. “He sends everybody his love. He said he’s looking to get sentenced soon, and he thinks he’ll be out.”

“I was over there. He’s in Essex. I got somebody over there, and when I went to go see them, he just happened to walk out at the same time,” Ice continued.

Budden was also delighted with the news and added, “Go Cas.”

In December 2022, Casanova reflected on the two years spent behind bars.

“God’s saying ‘today, I’m going to repay you for the years the enemy has stolen, years you spent lonely, years you spent being mistreated,’” he penned. “‘You’re going to have plenty of joy, peace, resources & opportunities’ I hope that don’t go over y’all heads.. BTW, today makes 2 years!!!!”

Further, throughout his ordeal, Casanova has maintained his innocence. He has also occasionally called for more support among his peers, but he did thank Chris Brown after seemingly helping financially.

It is unclear when his sentencing hearing will take place. Check out the clip from The Joe Budden Podcast above.

Tony Yayo Says Tory Lanez Will Be Attacked In Jail

Tony Yayo is typically an entertaining guy. Beyond his raps, he’s certainly never afraid to speak his mind.

The G-Unit rapper recently sat down for an interview with VladTV. During the conversation, he shares his thoughts on the recent Tory Lanez guilty verdict.

Of course, DJ Vlad doesn’t shy away from asking the 44-year-old about the case. He asks Yayo what it’s like in jail as a rapper, based on the New York native’s personal experience. “I mean, it could be rough. People are not used to the conditions. You nobody, you just a number. They gon’ make you feel like you’re not R. Kelly or Bill Cosby, they tryna make you feel like you just a number and that’s what you are, just like everybody else,” he answers.

“Motherf*ckers don’t care. If you get out of line, a motherf*cker will get out of line with you too. And then you more of a target. C’mon, L.A. county? You seen they put up his meal. ‘Yo, Tory Lanez in here.’ That’s the talk of the jail and now everybody in the jail got something to talk about,” Yayo continues.

Later on in the interview, the “Drama Setter” rapper explicitly says what he would do to his lawyer if he was in Lanez’s shoes. “Where I’m from, I ain’t never hear nobody really shoot a girl. Like, you shoot n*ggas, but really don’t shoot girls. So it’s a strange case. If he woulda shot a n*gga, n*ggas probably wouldn’t have cared,” he prefaces.

“She got hit in the foot, it’s not an attempted murder, so for me, I probably woulda just copped out. Look at Tory, you go to jail on Christmas, you think you gon’ beat the case and then my lawyer would’ve got punched in the face, ’cause I’m not spending a quarter million dollars and my lawyer’s not telling me, yo, we might lose this,” he explains afterwards.

Tory Lanez Has Christmas Dinner From Behind Bars

Tory Lanez celebrated his Christmas dinner from jail over the weekend. According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Sheriffs’ Department provided a lineup of food options for the holidays.

Corrections facilities offered 4 oz of roast turkey, 4 oz of mashed potatoes, 2 oz of gravy, 1 oz of cranberry sauce, 4 oz of green beans, 1 cup of tossed green salad, a dinner roll, a pumpkin muffin, and chocolate milk.

Additionally, there are Halal, vegan, diabetic, and more options available for inmates.

For now, police are holding Lanez at Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles, California.

Police brought in Lanez on Friday after a jury found him guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. He faces a maximum sentence of 22 years in prison and the possibility of deportation back to Canada.

After the jury reached their verdict, Lanez’s father, Sonstar Peterson, labeled the result a “miscarriage of justice,” outside the courthouse.

“You wanna know exactly how I’m feeling?” he shouted as he approached reporters. “I just stood here, in this Los Angeles County, and witnessed the worst miscarriage of justice this world has ever seen.”

“You wanna know exactly how I feel? I got some names I wanna call out.” Lanez’ father continued. “Alex Sipiro, Desiree Perez, and the whole wicked system of Roc Nation, including you Jay-Z. You who say you rose from the gutter, but you have traded and bargained, and tortured the souls of young men, and you’re still doing it.”

As for how many more Christmases Lanez will be spending behind bars, his sentencing is scheduled for next month.
