Part of the drama comparing Will and Pac came from details Jada revealed about the late rapper. She described him as her “soulmate” and shared with fans that he once proposed to her while he was in prison. Despite that she believes that Will and Pac would have become good friends if they got the chance.

For Will Smith’s part, he has taken the drama in stride. He shared a video of himself ignoring the notifications on his phone to Instagram. He followed that up with another Instagram post where he trolls fans with a fake “official statement” on the matter. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s kids are reportedly upset some items of the A-List couple couldn’t remain private. According to Entertainment Tonight, Willow and Jaden Smith “feel bad for their dad with all the recent headlines about their parents.”

A source detailed, “They know he has been going through a lot lately and this isn’t helping. They wish some of their family’s private matters remained private.”

Regarding Smith’s condition, Will is reportedly “trying to stay busy and has been hanging out with his good friends and his kids.” Adding, “Will loves Jada and feels like he has always had her back and always will. He has been trying to be supportive, while also taking care of himself.”

Last week, Jada Pinkett Smith revealed that she could have been Tupac’s wife. Sitting with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson for the All the Smoke podcast, Pinkett Smith revealed that Pac proposed to her while he was locked up in Rikers Island.

“Seeing him there, the condition that he was in and having to leave him there,” Pinkett Smith said. “He was in bad shape. And so, when he asked me to get married, he was at Rikers

“I knew at that time that he needed somebody to do time with him, which I was gonna do anyway. He didn’t have to marry me to do that. I’m here. He needed a rock. Because of our friendship and everything we had been through together, he just wanted to feel that solidified foundation.”

In a separate interview, Jada Pinkett Smith officially stated what many across Hip-Hop believed was in her heart: Tupac was her soulmate.

Speaking with journalist Christal Jordan at RollingOut, Pinkett revealed that Tupac was her soulmate and believed they shared past lives.

“There is all kinds of definitons of soulmates,” Pinkett Smith said. “If there is such a thing as past lives I definitely think Pac and I have traveled a few together.”

Pinkett Smith says she never regretted attempting to make a romance because there was no chemistry between the two.

Jada Pinkett Smith hasn’t been holding back while promoting her new memoir. The actress recently sat down for an interview with Jay Shetty for his podcast On Purpose, during which she had some thoughts about the possibility of Tupac and Will Smith’s becoming pals.

“If ‘Pac had survived Vegas, he and Will would’ve ended up being really good friends,” Pinkett Smith said. “They would’ve had a lot to offer each other. Funny enough, Will was the only person when I started dating him, ‘Pac never said anything.”

“If I dated anybody else, ‘Pac had something to say,” she added. “He didn’t think anybody was good enough, which I understand. But when I started dating Will, he didn’t say anything. Which meant to me, in his own way, he approved. He didn’t say anything. Not a word, which made me believe he approved.”

Despite this, during another recent stop where Pinkett Smith talked to Fat Joe (via HipHopDX), she made it clear that she and Tupac were never a legit couple. “People make too many assumptions because I be trying to keep stuff close to the chest,” she noted. “We were never together. And people when they read the book, they’ll see how deep our friendship was.”

Earlier today a report came out clarifying what the pair’s children Jaden and Willow think of the situation. The report claims that they both “felt bad” for Will Smith in the ongoing circumstances. Despite describing 2Pac as her “soulmate,” Jada clarified that she didn’t view him in a romantic light. “If there is such a thing as past lives, I definitely think ‘Pac and I have traveled a few together. Jada Pinkett Smith says that Will Smith helped repair their marriage when he slapped Chris Rock at the Academy Awards in 2022. She made the comments while discussing her relationship with Will during an event in New York on Monday as caught by Variety. Despite recently revealing that they have been separated for years, Jada says that when Will stood up for her at the ceremony, she decided to ride with him.

Jada Pinkett Smith Confirms “Red Table Talk” Is Returning

Jada Pinkett Smith will officially be bringing her series, Red Table Talk, back in 2024. The actress confirmed the news during a live stream on TalkShopLive. The news comes following the release of her new memoir, Worthy, which has brought with it several headline-grabbing stories about her relationship with Will Smith.

“The Red Table is coming back. We are in the works of a situation right now. So next year,” Jada Pinkett Smith said. “We could not do the red table while I was writing this book and while Willow was on her music journey.”

Jada previously expressed confidence in the return of Red Table Talk while speaking with PEOPLE back in June. At the time, she confirmed several platforms had reached out about publishing the series. “We’ve had a couple platforms reach out to us,” Smith revealed. “And we have some interesting avenues that we’re looking at now. You know me, I’m always looking for the next innovative thing. Actually, there’s one idea that we have in mind that I’m kind of excited about that will probably be happening, maybe, close to the release of the book. Red Table Talk previously aired on Facebook Watch, beginning in May 2018. It ran there for five seasons. Jada has hosted numerous celebrities on the show over those years.
