[WATCH] Lil Durk Says He’s ‘Bigger Than Drake’ In The Trenches

Lil Durk drake trenches

Lil’ Durk is saying he is bigger than Drake in the trenches. In a recent appearance on Wallo and Gillie Da Kid’s “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast, Durk re-visited a previous statement he made where he said he wanted to be “bigger than Drake.”

When Wallo, the show co-host asked Durkio how far he’s come since he made that statement, the Chicago rapper replied that to those with him and in his group, “we bigger than him, you know what I’m sayin’.”

There is no beef between the two artist, as Drake recently posted an Instagram story listening to Durk’s new music. The Voice creator is currently preparing for the release of his 7220 album.

Putting together two shows, one in New York and a few in Toronto. They’re gonna be something different, something that I’ve never done before. Gonna be a highly interactive experience. My brothers will be there, it’s gonna be great to see y’all, hopefully get a chance to speak with you, [and] hopefully learn a little more about each other. The announcement marks Drake’s first full show since his December 2019 Assassination Vacation Tour. After that, Drake has only performed as a special guest with Travis Scott at last year’s Astro World Festival in Houston and Ye’s benefit concert for Larry Hoover in Los Angeles last December.

Drake And Jack Harlow Surprise A Singer Who Covered ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’ With $20,000

Drake and Jack Harlow have been living their best lives in Turks & Caicos for a few days now. The two artists have also been bonding during this time as they’ve been seemingly able to find common ground despite being in difference places in their respective careers. Harlow is gearing up to release his upcoming second album while Drake is a few months removed from his sixth album Certified Lover Boy. Harlow has often called Drake an inspiration for his career, and that becomes clear when you hear some of his songs like “Baxter Avenue” and “Nail Tech.”

Hopefully, the pair’s time in Turks & Caicos will produce a collaboration or two, but for now, their trip is certainly blessing the lives of others around them. A recent Instagram post from Drake revealed that he and Harlow surprised a fan, who is also a singer, with $20,000. “Me and Jack Harlow blessing the island on behalf of Stake,” Drake wrote in the caption. “My fav thing in the world is to try and change someone’s day, week, month or year.”

In the video, Drake begins by saying, “I’m with GQ Switzerland’s ‘Most Attractive Man of the Decade,’ Jack Harlow. And we’re gonna try to bless somebody’s life tonight.” The duo then brings out Janardo Laporte, an entertainer at the Grace Bay Club, after his rendition of Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” made the rapper feel a “little self-conscious,” a Drake himself admitted. “It’s better than the OG, I’m not gonna lie,” he added.

After the trio plays roulette on the crypto gambling platform, Stake, Drake asks Laporte what he would do with the money if he won. “I got three kids,” Laporte replies. “So I wanna do something for my kids. And enhance my music career a little bit.” Drake then surprises Laporte and hands him $20,000 in cash. “I wasn’t expecting this, I was on my way home!” Laporte said.

Drake and Jack captured the whole moment on video, which you can watch above.

Drake Announces Plans For ‘Highly Interactive’ Shows In New York And Toronto

Despite being one of music’s biggest stars, Drake hasn’t done too many performances over the last couple of years. A big reason behind that is the pandemic, which wiped out numerous tours. Aside from the Larry Hoover benefit concert with Kanye West back in December, Drake’s last performances came during his 2019 Assassination Vacation Tour, which saw him bring his talents to the United Kingdom. Luckily, the Certified Lover Boy rapper is nearing a return to the stage thanks to an announcement he made during a recent radio broadcast.

Drake made an appearance on OVO Sound’s Sirius XM radio station Sound 42 to reveal his plans to host some shows in New York and Toronto in the near future. “I’m excited to let all my people know that we’re working on something really special for you guys,” he said on the show. “Putting together two shows, one in New York and a few in Toronto. They’re gonna be something different, something that I’ve never done before. Gonna be a highly interactive experience.” He added, “My brothers will be there, it’s gonna be great to see y’all, hopefully get a chance to speak with you, [and] hopefully learn a little more about each other. I’ll have the dates for that coming soon, I can’t wait.”

Drake will have plenty of music to perform at the performances, as he’s recently released his sixth album, Certified Lover Boy, which was the only rap album to go double Platinum in 2021.

Drake Recently Got His Hair Braided And Fans Are Completely Confused About It

Drake has donned many looks throughout his music career. Between the afro he rocked from his Take Care days to cutting it down and growing out his beard around If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and Views, Drake has never been afraid to switch it up. In fact, it was just a year ago that he debuted the Certified Lover Boy heart in his haircut, one he would keep throughout the 2021 calendar year. That heart caused quite the reaction from fans, but Drizzy’s latest look has people just as, if not even more confused this time around.

In a series of pictures and videos that Drake shared on Instagram, he could be seen rocking a fresh set of braids. While this isn’t the most outlandish hairstyle, fans were confused as they didn’t think he had enough hair to have it braided. Some pointed out that just a few days ago, a picture with him and Jack Harlow made its rounds online, and it, Drake had rather short hair. As a result, some questioned how it was even possible that Drake could have braids while others made jokes about it like suggesting that Drake got extensions to make it work.

Speaking of Harlow, he and Drake were spotted on vacation together in Turks & Caicos. Hopefully, this means that the two are working on music that we’ll hear at some point in the future.

You can check out Drake’s braids in the post above and view reactions from fans below.
