DJ Akademiks Claims Kendrick Lamar Wears Heels And Fans Are Not Happy

DJ Akademiks is anti-Kendrick Lamar. He admitted that Lamar won the Drake battle, but he’s not been happy about it. He takes shots at the Compton rapper whenever he can, but his latest attempt did not go according to plan. Ak tried to blow up Lamar’s spot on Instagram by compiling photos of Lamar wearing heels and/or lifts in his shoes. Instead of laughing with Ak, however, the comment section turned on the internet personality and laughed at him.

The Instagram post was made on Akademiks’ second account, DJ Akademiks TV. The caption read: “Fans are speechless after learning Kendrick Lamar wears high heels,” and the photos next to it are close ups of the rapper’s shoes over the years. To be fair to Akademiks, it does indeed look like Lamar has lifts. Not “heels,” like the caption claims, but tennis/dress shoes with lifts. The Compton rapper is 5’5″ after all, as we know from Drake’s “Push Ups.” (We also know Dot wears a size seven mens, which, again, is due to Drizzy.)

DJ Akademiks Got Cooked In The Comments

It was the wording of the post, and the transparent reasoning for making it, however, that annoyed fans. They proved that they were not speechless, as they flooded the comment section with insults for DJ Ak. Many pointed out that the internet personality should not be throwing insults at others, given the crimes he was recently accused of. Akademiks is currently being accused of sexual assault and defamation in a lawsuit filed by Fauziya Abashe.

“LOL,” one Instagram user wrote. “We still haven’t forgotten about your lawsuit.” Another repurposed a line from Lamar’s number one single, “Not Like Us,” and used it against DJ Akademiks. “Ak gotta weird case,” they commented. “Why is he around?” Lawsuits notwithstanding, other users simply felt that DJ Akademiks was embarrassing himself by trying to make Kendrick Lamar look bad. “Just stop AK,” a user wrote. “Please, man reaching for any type of Kendrick slander he can grasp on to.” This was not the win DJ Akademiks thought it was going to be. He should probably stick to dragging Meek Mill on Twitch.

GloRilla’s Gospel Performance On Megan Thee Stallion’s Tour Garners Mixed Reactions

Rap fans have been breaking down Megan Thee Stallion’s ongoing tour on a night by night basis. It started with a major debate over whether or not she was a “stadium caliber” artist. Her status was seemingly confirmed when she sold out more than a dozen stadiums before the tour even got underway. Megan haters have continued trying to criticize her tour online though, many inspired by her beef with Nicki Minaj earlier this year.

Now they’re taking aim at GloRilla, who is also present on the tour. During a recent show she transitioned into her performance of “Yeah Glo” by covering Tamela Mann’s “Take Me To The King.” The video made the rounds online today where those same haters attempted to bash the performance. But in the comments of an Instagram repost of the video, many come to her defense. “Yall gone learn about playing with God” one of the top comments jokes. “Maybe She feels blessed and seeing that her name is hallelujah I could see how she would want to show a lil praise before preforming her song thinking about where she has come from ! GloRilla’s Gospel Performance Divides Fans

During a recent performance on their tour, Meg and Glo upset the Barbz even more. That’s because they invited Natalie Nunn on stage to dance alongside them. Nunn was famously mentioned in a joke from one of the songs on Nicki Minaj’s newest album Pink Friday 2. Many fans jumped to the conclusion that Nunn’s inclusion was a veiled shot at Nicki from Megan.

Megan Thee Stallion Drops Hard-Hitting New Freestyle Over “Like A G6”

At the start of May, Megan Thee Stallion warned fans to keep a lookout for what was coming soon. She hasn’t disappointed so far starting with her newest single “BOA.” The song is the third in her series of snake-themed released following last year’s “COBRA” and this year’s “HISS.” The song is off to quite a hot start, racking up over 10 million streams in its first 10 days ahead of its debut on the Hot 100 later this week. The song is expected to debut inside the top 40 of the chart when the full roster is released. It follows “HISS” which debuted at number one, becoming the first of a few diss tracks this year to do so.

Throughout the month she’s also been sharing some new freestyles with fans on a weekly basis. Fittingly, she’s calling it Megan Mondays and has already taken on a few notable songs. But her newest freestyle may be her most unconventional yet. She takes on the beat from Far East Movement’s 2010 radio smash “Like A G6.” Though the song doesn’t seem like a natural fit for her fast flows right away, she absolutely eats the song up from the moment she starts rapping and fans in the comments agree. 50 Cent Theorizes Why Diddy’s Alleged Assault Footage Was Published

50 Cent shared a theory regarding the timing of CNN putting out the viral video of Diddy appearing to assault Cassie on Friday. The clip, which stems from 2016, shows the Bad Boy mogul seemingly grabbing his then-parter from behind, throwing her to the ground, and kicking her. Shortly after CNN published the video, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office put out a statement explaining that the statute of limitations on assault has passed and in turn, Diddy won’t be facing any charges.

50 shared the statement on Instagram, on Saturday, adding in the caption: “This is why they put that tape out, they know they can’t charge him with what we saw, but they know we can’t unsee what we saw.”

As for the D.A.’s statement, the office admits that the video is both “disturbing” and “difficult to watch,” but that they can’t do anything. It adds: “If the conduct depicted occurred in 2016, unfortunately we would be unable to charge as the conduct would have occurred beyond the timeline where a crime of assault can be prosecuted. As of today, law enforcement has not presented a case related to the attack depicted in the video against Mr. Combs, but we encourage anyone who has been a victim or witness to a crime to report it to law enforcement or reach out to our office for support from our Bureau of Victims Services.”

King Combs’ girlfriend, Raven Tracy, shared pictures from their trip to Brazil on Instagram, earlier this week, as CNN published a video of Diddy appearing to assault his ex-partner Cassie at a hotel in 2016. In one post caught by The Shade Room, Tracy showed off Combs laying out on the beach with the caption: “Ofc ty to my mannnn.”

When The Shade Room reshared the posts, fans in the comments section were not amused. “No need to try to flex sis. We’ve already witness what comes along with that life! We’re not interested! Be safe out there,” one user wrote. Another joked: “I know the Combs’ publicist are sick of them.”

Prior to the release of the security footage, which seemingly shows Diddy grabbing Cassie, throwing her to the floor, and kicking her, King came to his father’s defense on a song titled, “Pick a Side.” He dropped the track, last weekend. “I dare one of you n****s scream out no Diddy,” he raps at one point. Later, he targets 50 Cent, adding: When all they had was 50 Cent who put the city on the map? stop lyin’ Pop’s been hated on by many men and n***a, that’s fine / They gon’ try to stop these m&ms and they gon’ die tryin’.”

Kendrick Lamar’s Recent Diss Tracks Leading To Massive Earnings

Big numbers has been the story of the entire Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef so far. They’re two of the highest-selling and most acclaimed artists in hip-hop and they released a series of rapid fire responses to each other’s claims as the beef raged on. There’s six different tracks from the beef that land in the top 20 of this weeks Hot 100, proving that the beef has also been a massive commercial success. Drake landed two tracks on the chart with “Push Ups” in its third week and “Family Matters” inside the top 10, but it was Kendrick whose putting up astonishing numbers.

Future & Metro Boomin’s “Like That” kicked the beef off in March and spent three weeks at the top spot on the Hot 100, where it still hovers in the top 10. The darkest song to spawn from the beef “Meet The Grahams” lands outside the top 10. But two of his tracks landed in the top three with “Euphoria” and “Not Like Us.” The latter has been particularly impressive, landing at the top spot on the Hot 100 with only 5 days of tracking compared to the usual 7. It’s also broken multiple streaming records, including some that were previously held by songs from Drake’s Certified Lover Boy. Kendrick Lamar’s Profit From Diss Tracks Revealed

According to the weekly song revenue chart, only three tracks pulled in more than $200k last week and Kendrick has two of them. “Not Like Us” leads all other songs with $277k, over $20k more than the runner up. All of his songs on the chart combine for more than $700k, though it’s unclear just how much of that will actually end up with Kendrick himself.

Meek Mill has been caught up in a tailspin of drama recently. The rapper was swept into the lawsuits surrounding Diddy when he was included in a controversial viral filing by producer Lil Rod back in February. Though he seemingly has no involvement in the more serious parts of Diddy’s recent drama like the federal raid on his properties, that hasn’t stopped people from associating him with anything that happens to the rap mogul. That’s how he arrived in the sights of one of the definitive trolls in rap music, 50 Cent.

50 had been attacking Diddy on a near daily basis for months by the time Meek became involved. While he took some shots at Meek when the lawsuit news first dropped things seemed to calm down for a few months. That was, at least, until earlier this month when 50 started going at Meek harder than ever before. 50 came after Meek for both his association with Diddy and the poor sales of his EP that dropped earlier this year. That created a web of beef as the two MCs went back and forth on social media. It eventually resulted in Meek coming to the defense of another person 50 takes issue with, King Combs.
