Hurricane Chris Claims He’s Cool With 50 Cent After Dissing Him In Viral Rant

Hurricane Chris has had a rollercoaster week. The rapper went viral for criticizing 50 Cent’s Humor & Harmony Festival in Shreveport, Louisiana. He appreciated the love (and the money) 50 brought to the city, but lamented the fact that no local artists were involved. Hurricane Chris, for context, was born and raised in Shreveport. He labeled 50 Cent a “culture vulture” for his antics. He also took the G-Unit rapper to task for spending $500K on law enforcement during the four day festival. After a few days, though, the rapper had a change of heart.

Hurricane Chris clarified his feelings toward 50 Cent on August 22. He told KSLA News 12 that he has no personal issues with the G-Unit rapper, and felt like he’d been misunderstood. Calling someone “culture vulture” seems pretty pointed, but we digress. “It’s no hate,” Hurricane Chris told the outlet. “It’s all love, but I must voice my opinion because I been here, and I been in Shreveport.” The rapper went on to note that his negative comments toward 50 was a “big misunderstanding.” He even said that he’d be willing to collaborate with the rapper at some point in the future.

Hurricane Chris Is Open To Collaborating With 50 Cent

The real issue Hurricane Chris had with the event was the lack of local exposure. He appreciated what 50 was doing for his hometown. He just felt like hometown artists should have been present. “[Shreveport does] have artists,” the rapper told the outlet. “A lot of artists, more artists than that I can’t even name that would rock stages like that. It’s not about me.” Hurricane Chris once again made sure that he was square with 50 following his viral remarks. “I definitely had no malice,” he concluded. “It was just me wanting to see my community be respected… I was in one of those moods.”

50 Cent didn’t respond to Hurricane Chris’ retraction, but he did respond to the rapper’s initial disses. 50 responded exactly the way you would expect: memes and mockery. The G-Unit mastermind fired back at Hurricane Chris by dubbing him a one-hit wonder. “Oh no you not gonna play that one song you got,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “Bay Bay just went on stage wit Master P.” In a separate IG Story, 50 Cent flat out called Chris wack. “Boy ya sh*t is wack,” he wrote. “Ya sh*t gets no play in my ride.” Hurricane Chris definitely picked a fight with the wrong guy. Hopefully 50 agrees to bury the hatchet.

Lil Yachty Claims He Wrote All Of Karrahbooo’s Music In Explosive Rant

Lil Yachty really let loose on August 22. The rapper caught wind of the rumors that Karrahbooo was talking bad about him and Concrete Boys. A fan who met with Karrahbooo went as far as to allege that Yachty bullied Karrahbooo into leaving. Yachty didn’t appreciate the accusations, and hopped on IG Live to set the record straight. Well, a little more than that, actually. The rapper decided to put Karrahbooo on blast. He not only called out her alleged bad behavior, but took credit for all of her music in the process.

“Bro, go ahead [and tell] people how you talk to people,” Yachty said during his IG rant. He goes on to say that Karrahbooo is a liar who claims to be broke and homeless to elicit sympathy. He also claimed that Karrahbooo was verbally abusive to those in the Concrete Boys camp. “You talk to people like they were nothing,” Yachty asserted. “Like they’re small, like they’re beneath you.” The rapper didn’t stop at broad accusations, either. He proceeded to provide specific examples of Karrahbooo’s allegedly mean behavior. “How you told me you ‘gon spit on me when you see me,” he said. “Your brain is clinically imbalanced…”

Lil Yachty Accused Karrahbooo Of Being Verbally Abusive

Lil Yachty has a reputation for being cordial and friendly. It’s rare to see the rapper clash with people in a public space, Bobbi Althoff interview notwithstanding. This reputation is what makes Yachty’s assertions so surprising. The gloves really came off when the rapper claimed to have written all of Karrahboo’s rap verses when she was with Concrete Boys. He also claimed to have styled her look and instructed her on how to behave to become popular. “I’ve given you a career and time and time you just disrespect me,” he explained. “I wrote every f*cking verse you’ve done, I dressed you.”

Furthermore, Lil Yachty told viewers that Concrete Boys have withheld her behavior from the public in an attempt to give her the benefit of the doubt. “Internally, we have withheld your actions,” he added. “Since the beginning of me giving you this career… I been letting you do this whole thing where you act like you a princess.” Lil Yachty really doubled down on that last point. He pointed out that Karrahbooo worked as a server before he gave her a co-sign. “I changed your motherf*cking life,” he concluded. “You out here lying.” The frustration in Yachty’s voice really comes through toward the end of the rant. Things officially got ugly.

How To Add A Song To Your Instagram Profile

Instagram logo

Back in the early days of social media, Myspace was king, and a now-iconic part of the experience was listening to the songs users would have on their profiles. That hasn’t been a common social media feature since then, but now Instagram is bringing it back.

How To Add A Song To Your Instagram Profile

On your Instagram profile, tap the “Edit profile” button. Then, scroll down to the “Music” option, and tap where it says “Add music to your profile.” From there, you can browse the songs available to use, select one, and then choose a 30-second portion of the song to use. To change the song, just remove the song currently in use via the “Edit profile” menu and then go through the selection process again.

As The Verge notes, Instagram launched the feature today in partnership with Sabrina Carpenter, who is currently using it to preview her song “Taste,” which hasn’t yet been officially released in full as of this post.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Carpenter said of her path to stardom, “I have dreams and goals, and I will say I’m a little bit of a freak manifester sometimes, which is a blessing and a curse, depending on how you look at it. I always knew deep down that this was something I would do with my life, and I didn’t ever really doubt that, even when sh*t was hitting the ceiling fan.”

Nicki Minaj Tells Fans To Stop Asking Questions Amidst Ice Spice Beef

Nicki Minaj had quite a bit to say on August 21. The rapper didn’t name names, but she made lots of statements that all felt based around a few specific people. The people in question? The pair she went and unfollowed on Instagram the same day: JT and Ice Spice. Minaj cut ties with the up-and-coming rappers. She then proceeded to criticize younger rappers who go and sign with white owned record labels over her own Heavy On It imprint. THEN she wagged her finger at her fans and claimed she’s through talking about “other people.”

There’s obviously a lot to unpack here. We already covered Nicki Minaj’s comments about labels, which you can check out here. The rant about “other people,” however, was perhaps the most intriguing piece of content that Minaj generated on Wednesday. The rapper addressed her fanbase directly, and said she has no plans to discuss people who are outside of her inner circle. “Don’t ask me about nobody,” she asserted. “If you don’t see someone around me, don’t ask me about them.” Nicki Minaj then advised curious parties to direct any questions at these other people.

Nicki Minaj Told Barbz They Don’t Know The ‘Truth’

“Go and talk to them,” the rapper added. “The truth of the matter is that y’all don’t want to know the truth of the matter.” The last line reads a bit like a Minaj bar, but it does also suggest that there’s more to the story than fans are getting to see. It’s not a stretch to infer that the rapper is talking about JT and Ice Spice. Nicki Minaj has had very public falling outs with both of these artists. In the case of Ice Spice, the relationship went from mutually supportive and collaborative to contentious in the span of a year. Minaj and Spice worked together on “Princess Diana” in 2023, and now they don’t even follow each other on Instagram.

In May 2024, texts claiming to belong to Ice Spice leaked online. The texts saw the “Munch” rapper complain about Nicki Minaj, calling her “ungrateful and delusional” and likening Minaj to her mother. From there, the alleged Ice Spice texts blasted Minaj for being “jealous” of the fact that the younger rapper owned her masters. Real or not, these leaked texts were seemingly the straw that broke the camel’s back. Minaj and Spice are on the outs. Don’t ask Minaj about it though, per her request.

Screwly G Calls Out FBG Affiliates After FBG Duck’s Murder: Watch

Screwly G wasn’t having it on August 21. The rapper got on Instagram Live and proceeded to pop off on FBG affiliates who flooded his comment section. Not only did Screwly G call out FBG for not being as dangerous as they pose themselves, but he evoked the death of one of their most notable members: FBG Duck. Six gang members were found guilty for FBG Duck’s murder in January, so to call Screwly’s evocation bold is to put it mild. The rapper went into absolute rant mode.

“None of you n**gas killed none of ’em,” Screwly G asserted. “I’ll get into it… Whichever GDE wanna get into it.” The rapper then proceed to call out FBG affiliates for talking tough via social media but trying to link up with him for music behind closed doors. “N**ga, you the same bum a*s n**ga who asked me for a feature,” Screwly G claimed. “Be a real gangsta, and go to the DMs. Don’t unsend your message… Talkin’ about Duck this, Duck that.” The rapper then went on to criticize the affiliates in the comment section for making him a target. “Y’all n**gas got more aggression for me than for anybody,” he claimed. Then, the rapper got aggressive. “I guarantee I finish your a*s,” he added. “On my dead cousin. Right where you at, n**ga.”

Screwly G Promised To ‘Finish’ Anybody Who Challenged Him

FBG affiliates aren’t the only one annoyed by Screwly G’s bravado. King Yella hopped on Instagram Live to defend FBG Duck’s name and question why Screwly felt the need to bring him up at all. “Indiana a*s, out of town a*s,” Yella dubbed the rapper. “Why is you even mentioning folks? Goofy a*s n**ga. You a b*tch, everyone around you a b*tch.” It gets more disrespectful from there. “F*ck your dead homie, f*ck your mom, f*ck your grandmama. Keep Duck name out your mouth.”

Screwly G is no stranger to dangerous situations. The rapper was involved in a shooting during the making of a music video back in December. Footage obtained by people on the set show the rapper and his team dancing before gunshots can be heard in the background. Everybody subsequently ran for cover. Thankfully nobody was injured in the shooting.

Latto says that her father has been stealing from her and believes she’s in the Illuminati. She reflected on her relationship with her dad in a brief post on her Instagram Story while sharing a report about a wholesome moment between a father and his pilot daughter.

“Awww my dad steals from me & tell everyone I’m in the Illuminati,” Latto captioned the story with laughing emojis on Wednesday. Fans on social media were confused by the post, considering the rapper’s prior defense of her father. “Since when? I thought she was always biggin up her Dad. I must’ve missed a season,” one user asked on X (formerly Twitter). Another wrote: “The same dad that saved her from gettin beat by SupaPeach some years back at some music festival, that dad?!?” One fan brought up her song, “No Hook,” on which she raps: “I came home from school and seen bags, hella drugs / Lost the bond with my daddy for some money and a buzz / Swear the industry the devil, sh*t, it is what it was / Ain’t no stranger on the ‘net finna tell me ’bout my life, though.”

King Yella Admits To Cocaine Addiction In Unhinged Instagram Rant: Watch

King Yella is one of the blunt rappers on the planet. There isn’t a topic he’s afraid to discuss. He’s been open about his GD affiliations and the attempt he made on his life in 2023. That said, fans were still taken aback by King Yella’s honesty on August 20. The rapper decided to get on Instagram Live and freely talk about the fact that he has a cocaine addiction. Not only that, but King Yella claims that he’s perfectly content with his addiction, and claims to be on cocaine at the time of the video’s recording.

Oftentimes there’s wiggle room with regards to a rapper’s intent. We don’t want to imply or mislead the reader into thinking they are saying something they really aren’t. King Yella requires no such handling. He came right out and advocated for cocaine use during his IG Live. “Ain’t nothing wrong with cocaine,” the rapper stated. “I love cocaine, that sh*t having me blitzed.” The rapper proceeded to get closer to the camera as he talked. He eventually gets so close than the viewer can see up his nostrils. This isn’t an accident. “I’m on coke right now,” King Yella asserted. “I’m coke, I’m a f*cking cokehead. So what?”

King Yella Asked IG Followers To Help Him Score Coke

Like we said, direct. King Yella pivoted from pontificating on cocaine use to asking commenters who has more for him. “Who got the cocaine,” he asked while scanning the comment section. “Yeah, I’m for real. I want some cocaine, n**ga. Y’all know y’all got good cocaine in Miami!” The rapper punctuated his final statement with a snorting sound meant to emulate the sound of, well, snorting coke. The rant goes off the rails from there, with King Yella detailing what he’d like to do while on the white substance. He also voiced a desire to try a “pink” variation that is allegedly in Miami.

In case anyone was unsure of what King Yella was getting at, the caption doubled down. The rapper proceeded to ask viewers if they could help him score since he hadn’t had the drug in a long time. “I need help lately I been off cocaine do y’all have some,” he wrote. Alternatively, and unnervingly, Yella asked whether anybody could help him kick his habit. “Get me some help because that drug feel so great to me I feel like Superman off it,” he concluded. Hopefully help arrives.

50 Cent Can’t Believe His Eyes After Diddy Gets Sued By Alleged Cartel Member

50 Cent shared a story from NewsNation on Instagram on Monday that claimed a drug cartel member sued Diddy after he allegedly refused to traffic minors. According to the outlet, Alfredo P. Gonzalez, a self-proclaimed member of the Sinaloa drug cartel, attempted to sue Diddy and Bad Boy Entertainment for allegedly tarnishing his reputation with his New York-based drug business contacts. He sought $666,000 in damages but Chief U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain abruptly dismissed the case.

“Ok, I have seen it all WTF is going on here,” 50 captioned a screenshot of the headline. In the comments section, fans joked about 50’s deep hatered for Diddy. “50 hate on almost every black man that has more money than him (mayweather, jay-z, diddy, rick Ross) jealous fella,” one top response reads. Another user reacted to the lawsuit with confusion. “Can they actually sue if it’s illegal? And ain’t that them snitching on themselves? I’m confused,” they said.

50 Cent Visits Washington, DC

WASHINGTON, DC – JUNE 05: Recording artist Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (R) and his lawyer Ben Crump head into the offices of Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) at the U.S. Capitol while advocating for Black entrepreneurship on June 05, 2024, in Washington, DC. A rapper, actor, television producer, and businessman, Jackson has invested in luxury liquor, apparel, video games, book publishing, electronics, boxing promotion and dietary supplements. As for Swain’s ruling on Gonzalez’s case, the judge argued it lacked basic legal standing as the injuries stemmed from illegal activities and are thus not protected by law. Additionally, she found the claims not to be believable, lacking “an arguable basis either in law or in fact.” She even denied his request to amend the lawsuit, arguing it was already too far gone.

Lil Yachty Sends Drake Fans Into A Frenzy By Unfollowing Him On IG

It seems like fans will spend “Another Late Night” theorizing and speculating as to who Drake is beefing with next. Moreover, some eagle-eyed fans on social media recently noticed that Lil Yachty seemed to unfollow him on Instagram. This shocked a lot of admirers thanks to the duo’s strong collaborative and personal relationship prior to this, as well as the fact that they engaged with each other online as much as in person. Furthermore, OVO and Concrete supporters immediately got into detective mode, speculating that the supposed upcoming release of Drizzy’s “Supersoak” has something to do with it.

If you didn’t already know, DJ Akademiks previewed a clip of the music video for this song, which originally featured Lil Yachty. In fact, it was Yachty who leaked the original collab version of the song to Kai Cenat for him to play it on his livestream. This was because they couldn’t clear the sample, as the sampled artist Mr. Hotspot’s religious views prompted him to demand a clean version of the team-up. With this new development in mind, many speculate that Mr. Hotspot is mad at Yachty for revealing all this on a podcast, and told the 6ix God that he could drop it if he removed his partner.

Lil Yachty Seemingly Unfollows Drake

Of course, that’s just an unfounded theory, and so will any others before one of them actually speaks out about it. Still, we’re not even inclined to believe that this indicates a rift between the two, as it could just as easily be a promo tactic. Nevertheless, it’s not like Drake and Lil Yachty’s relationship has all been peaches and cream. For example, the latter’s thoughts on the former’s beef with Kendrick Lamar resulted in considerable uproar from the Toronto superstar’s die-hards.

Regardless, we’ll see if Drake and Lil Yachty speak on this at any point. It’s not like every fan loved this collab, but fans worry about this partnership fading. After all, they picked a pretty contentious and controversial moment to stir even more rumors about who is or isn’t beefing. Are they bamboozling us just to troll or is there something deeper going on?

Yung Gravy Dismisses Claims That Hawk Tuah Girl Turned Him Down

A story that would have made no sense a year ago. Hawk Tuah Girl, aka Hailey Welch, has become a pseudo celebrity thanks to a viral TikTok interview. She’s exploded in the months since, popping up at country shows and booking podcast appearances with notable brands. Yung Gravy is one of the people who have taken notice. Welch (we’re not calling her Hawk Tuah for the duration of this article) claimed that the rapper slid into her DMs, but she turned him down. Now, though the Gravy Train is coming out with his side of the story.

Yung Gravy took to social media on August 19 to set the record straight. He reposted the article with Welch’s comments and wrote: “Can’t be nice anymore lol.” The rapper then posted a screenshot of the DM conversation in question. Yung Gravy gave Welch props for becoming a sensation, and proceeded to invite her to an upcoming concert. “Oh, and this ain’t just me trying to finesse cause I don’t know your man situation,” he explained. “But I wanted to have you at a show next month to hear my country sh*t.” Welch asked when the concert was, and Yung Grizzle posted a link to his tour.

Yung Gravy Provided Receipts For Their DM Convo

The screenshot doesn’t show any more of the conversation. Based on what we do see, however, Yung Gravy made it clear that he wasn’t trying to shoot his shot. Nor does it seem like Welch definitively shot him down. “I was like, nahhhh, I don’t know about that…,” Welch originally claimed. Yung Gravy seems to have won the internet’s favor in this exchange. A community note has been added to the original Welch quote providing the rapper’s POV. “Yung Gravy denies this,” the note reads. “He claims he only invited her to a concert.”

This is not the first time Yung Gravy has been linked to a viral celebrity. The rapper attended the 2023 Video Music Awards with Sheri Easterling, the mother of TikToker Addison Rae. The pair shocked many online, but Gravy refuted the “stunt date” accusations. In fact, he told E! Canada that he still keeps in touch with Easterling. “We still keep in touch a lot,” he noted. “It wouldn’t make sense for us to date because we live in different cities, but we keep in touch. Any show I have in Louisiana, she’ll be there.”
