Drake Hints At Release Date For PARTYNEXTDOOR Collab Album

Drake has had an interesting 2024. It’s been an incredibly notable year, thanks to the Kendrick Lamar battle, but also because the rapper’s stranglehold over pop culture seems to be slipping. He’s dropped multiple songs, but not all of them have hit. In fact, he just dropped a video for “Wah Gwan Delilah,” one of the strangest releases of his career. Drake fans are waiting for him to rebound with a full project, and we may be getting one pretty soon.

The Instagram account Rap Direct posted a photo of Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR on September 30. The account reminded fans that a collab album between the two OVO artists is slated for release at some point this year. It was suggested that the fall would be the most likely window of time, but it’s been a long time since Drake or PND have commented on the album. That said, Drake stumbled upon the Rap Direct post. The 6 God liked the post, effectively confirming to fans everywhere that we will be getting the joint album in the fall.

Drake Confirmed That The PND Album Will Drop This Fall

Drake announced his plans for a PARTYNEXTDOOR collab in August. The rapper was coming off the K. Dot battle, and eager to get back to making quality music for the fans. He came out during a PND show and proceeded to blow the minds of OVO fans everywhere. “Once Summer over with,” Drizzy stated. “Do what you need to do, I know all you girls are outside and when it gets a little chilly… a PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake album will be right there for you…”

PARTYNEXTDOOR confirmed the existence of the album a week after Drake’s announcement. He was asked which song from the album was his favorite, and avoided giving a direct answer. He did, however, reveal how many songs will be on the final tracklist. “The one we doing right now, all 15 we doing right now,” he asserted. PARTYNEXTDOOR dropped his last studio album, PARTYNEXTDOOR 4, in April of this year. Drake was a huge fan, as evidenced by the promo he gave it on Instagram. “Played this 100000 times before release,” he wrote on his Story. “Wish they logged my streams.” Drizzy, meanwhile, dropped his last album, For All the Dogs, in 2023.

The rapper decided to celebrate her son’s fourth birthday in style by posting a sweet tribute to him on Instagram.

Nicki Minaj posted photos and videos of her son in the days leading up to his birthday, but she saved the best for last. She posted a lengthy message describing just how important her son is to her. “Happy 4th birthday buddy,” she wrote. “You’ve made mama and daddy so happy. Since you were in mama’s tummy, you gave me a whole new meaning to life.” Nicki Minaj also thanked God for her son’s health and the tons of birthdays to come. “May God watch over you always and guide your path,” she added. “No weapon formed against me will prosper. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.”

Nicki Minaj has walked a fine line between privacy and openness with her fanbase. She’s known for having one of the most passionate fanbases in music, but she has gone out of her way to keep her son’s name a secret. It’s still unclear what his birth name is, despite the fact that he is a consistent presence on the rapper’s social media. Nicki Minaj generally refers to her son by the nickname “Papa Bear,” hence its use in the aforementioned birthday post. The rapper first used the nickname in a January 2021 post.

“PapaBear thank you so very much for choosing me to be your mama,” Minaj wrote in the caption. “Becoming a mom is by far the most fulfilling job I’ve ever taken on. Sending love to all the superhero mothers out there.” Despite dedicating so much time to being a mother, Nicki Minaj’s career has not slowed down. Hitmaka says that Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s viral feud from earlier this year has ruined the game of hip-hop. He explained his reasoning for the controversial take in a pair of statements from his Instagram Story, over the weekend. As caught by 2Cool2Blog, he wrote: “Drake & Kendrick sh*t really f*cked the game up cause now there’s no BAR/STANDARD. Don’t nobody got nothing to aim at or copy off of. Now the hottest rappers in the game are women besides Future & ain’t no n***a running home to make a beat or song in competition with a woman.”

When the outlet shared the posts on Instagram, hip-hop fans in the comments section weren’t moved by the argument. “I have no clue what any of this means or if it even makes sense. Just make good music. The f*ck does Kendrick and Drake gotta do with it?” one user wrote. Another remarked: “The women was on top the rap game before the beef lol.” Others complained about the wording of his post.

Drake and Kendrick Lamar traded several diss tracks, earlier this year, but haven’t taken aim at one another musically for several months. However, while announcing his headlining set at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, Lamar did troll Drake. The Toronto rapper had teased preparing for a “Game 2,” to which Lamar remarked, “You know it’s only one opportunity to win a championship. No round two’s.”

Lil Pump shared a picture of himself wearing a white t-shirt with the phrase, “F*ck Talor [sic] Swift,” written on it for his latest Instagram post. In the caption, he wrote: “JUST A QUICK REMINDER FOR THE SWIFTIES.” It’s the latest of several posts Pump has directed at Swift since she endorsed Kamala Harris in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election. Pump has been a vocal supporter of her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, for years at this point.

Swift made her endorsement of Harris in a post on Instagram, earlier this month, after the Vice President took on Trump in a presidential debate. She wrote: “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. Pump hasn’t been the only one to criticize Swift on social media in response to the move. Trump also wrote on his Turth Social media platform: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” Additionally, he discussed her endorsement during an appearance on Fox & Friends, comparing her to Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Britney. “Well, I actually like Mrs. [Patrick] Mahomes much better. If you want to know the truth. She’s a big Trump fan. I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” he said at the time. Swift, who is dating Mahomes’ teammate Travis Kelce, has become close friends with Britney over the last year.

During a recent interview, Chilly Gonzales opened up about collaborating with Drake. Most notably, he contributed to the Toronto hitmaker’s album Take Care, playing the piano outro on “Marvin’s Room.” He told Aria Nejati that he’s most impressed with Drizzy’s ability to rework ideas to make them better.

“I’ll be at the piano, maybe there’s a beat playing, and he’s just kind of looking for a melody,” Gonzales explained. “Then he’ll find something, and already I’m like, whoa, that’s like a super dope chorus. And then he finds something that’s even less specific, more universal, and all of a sudden what you thought was already a dope hook becomes like a verse.”

“But then he keeps looking, and this happens three or four times,” he continued. “Each time the thing he finds is more anthemic. And each time you have to just recalculate the whole song because, oh, that’s not the chorus anymore. I saw this happen with ‘Marvin’s Room.’ I saw this happen with ‘From Time.’” Drake caught wind of the interview clip and shared it on his Instagram Story last week, showing love to his collaborator in his caption.

“Thank you Gonz,” he wrote. “This guy was my neighbor, and we ended up making incredible pieces together, one of the greatest musicians of all time to me.” Drake isn’t only looking back on his work of the past, however. Kanye West Reveals Possible “Bully” Album Cover

Kanye West just kickstarted his new solo album rollout for Bully, and we still have no idea whether or not it will actually manifest. After all, we’ve been here before, and there have been plenty of scrapped Ye albums over the years that either never saw the light of day or became other LPs. However, it’s far too early to characterize Bully as such, especially when considering that the Chicago artist’s social media profile is more active than it was in recent years. He recently posted a possible cover art for the album on Instagram.

We know what you’re thinking: it’s not a square photo, how could it be artwork? Well, not only are Kanye West’s cover art ideas quite sporadic and ever-changing, but this wormhole-esque visual for his China concert is looking like a pretty solid iconographic marker for this new era. It’s like the gothic lettering or suspended stage for TLOP and its tour, or the Donda house. So we’ll see if its eventual cover art features this wormhole illusion. The China concerts also held a lot of other great moments, such as Ye singing “Only One” to the track’s inspiration, his daughter North.

Of course, we’ll have to see whether this Bully era reckons with, addresses, or rectifies any of the recent controversies that have impacted Kanye West’s life. As unlikely as it seems, some fans still hope that he can set things right, at least partially given his previous choices. But other fans are just worried about the music, and they wonder whether this new album will bleed into VULTURES 3 or vice versa. Even though this Ty Dolla $ign collab series has been shoddy and unpredictable when it comes to releases, Ty says that it’s still happening.

Meanwhile, there are even more music rumors floating around, even though these last ones are years old at this point. Consequence recently brought up the previous rumor that Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar have about 40 unreleased collabs together, all produced by Madlib. That will probably never see the light of day, although we can’t rule anything Ye-related out.

In the video, the 2-year-old acrobatically makes his way out of his playpen. Rihanna played the theme song for Mission Impossible in the background of the video. “Being a boy mom is an Olympic sport,” she wrote in the caption.

Speaking with Interview magazine, earlier this year, Rihanna confirmed that she’d be open to having more kids with ASAP Rocky. “I don’t know what god wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy,” she told the outlet. Regardless, Rihanna has also spoken about how much she enjoys being a boy mom. “It makes me feel really cool to be a boy mom,” she told E! News’ Francesca Amiker at a Fenty Beauty event in April. “Like I get to be as casual and busted as I want to, but it also forces me to embrace the epic things about being a woman, and a female and all my femininity.
